Chapter 3: Ape Shit

Just like Himiko told her, Ochako sounded the alarm while her friend tried to break free of the slime villain's green viscous clutches. And as soon as the alarm was sounded, heroes from all over the area started rushing to the girls' aid.

And up in the sky, a certain broccoli haired legendary super Saiyan was flying overhead when he heard the commotion.

"Hm?" He hummed before looking down. Upon seeing the same sludge villain from before with one of the girls he met before in his clutches, he got angry. "I think not!" He yelled as he shot to the ground like a missile, landing with a crash.

This caused all of the heroes and bystanders in attendance to look at the boy in shock as he popped his neck from side to side and stared down the sludge monster with an unflinching and unwavering glare.

"What?! You again? Get out of my way kid!" The creature tried to strike him, but the blow was expertly blocked by Izuku—and what's more—the boy didn't even move in the slightest and was unphased by the attack.

"Let. Her. Go." He growled, his voice one of authority as his aura flared.

"I'd like to see you make me, brat!" The sludge villain yelled as he tried to strike the boy, only for his attacks to be deflected by his aura.

"Whoa! Look at Midoriya go!" One of the guys from Katsuki's friend group said. "He's taking those hits and not even flinching!" He added.

"I'll say, it doesn't even look like he even feels it!" Another continued as Katsuki watched as well while Izuku charged up his fist.

'I know that stance, he's about to use Paralysis Verde.' The boy noted mentally as the Saiyan readied a punch.

"Paralysis Verde!" Izuku roared as he threw his fist forward. As soon as the boy's fist made contact with the sludge monster's face, green Ki spread all over its body and caused the figure to suddenly go rigid.

"What the—?! Can't. Move!" The creature grunted as Himiko's face broke free, allowing her to gasp for air.

"Get me out of here! Please!" She called out, and Izuku was quick to remove her from her assailant's clutches by shattering its body like obsidian glass and rushed her to safety.

The villain groaned as he crumbled to the ground in many pieces, allowing him to be captured. As this was happening, Ochako quickly ran to Himiko and hugged her, thankful that her best friend was safe. And off in the crowd, All Might watched the display as well.

'Incredible! He paralyzed that villain just by punching him!' The No. 1 hero thought in astonishment.

Izuku was sure to make certain that both girls were okay, while also trying to ignore the heroes that were talking to him the entire time.

(Later)

The green haired Saiyan sighed as he started his slow walk home, however he stroked his cheek slightly as he recalled what had happened before he left the sludge incident.

That being how Himiko gave him a quick kiss on the cheek as thanks for saving her, which really caught the boy off guard, if he was being honest.

'Her lips were actually really soft.' He thought as he kept walking, right until someone came barreling out of an alleyway—that someone being All Might.

"BOOYAH! I am here!" He exclaimed as he struck a pose in front of a slightly surprised Izuku.

"All Might, why are you here?" He asked. The large man then deflated to his skeletal form.

"I came to talk about what you did today." The hero replied.

"Oh, that." The Saiyan said in realization. "What about it?" He asked.

"You mentioned that you had no power at all, but instead a sort of natural super strength and could use your Ki as a weapon, correct?" He asked.

"Yeah." The boy nodded.

"Well, truth be told, what you showed today made me realize something important. You do have what it takes to be a hero." The blonde said, catching the boy by surprise.

"Wait, really?" He asked.

"Let me explain. You see, there are many stories about heroes and how they became great. But they all have one thing in common, their bodies moved before they had a chance to think. Almost on their own, just like you did." The symbol of Peace explained.

"Just where is this going?" The Saiyan asked.

"The direction this is heading is that I believe that you are worthy of inheriting my quirk." The man declared, surprising and confusing Izuku.

"Uh… Inherit?" The boy questioned.

"Yes. People are always making guesses about my powers, like a sort of super strength or some sort of vulnerability. When I'm asked about it in an interview, I always make a joke and dodge the question. It's because the world needs to think that the symbol of Peace is a natural born hero." The man told him before sighing. "But I'm not, there's nothing natural about my abilities. I wasn't born with this power, it was a sacred torch that was passed onto me by someone else." He added, arms outstretched.

"Passed on? What's it called?" Izuku asked, his interest greatly piqued.

"It's known as One for All, a stockpiling quirk that grows in power as it's improved and passed along." All Might told him. "And you young man, should you choose to accept, will be it's next user." He continued. Izuku thought for a good five minutes before nodding.

"I accept." He replied.

"No reluctance, that's how I figured you'd respond. Good to hear." The man smirked as they shook hands.

Meanwhile with Himiko and Ochako, the easily excitable shapeshifter was still gushing over how strong Izuku was, especially after he pulled her to his chest when he saved her from the sludge villain.

"Hey, calm down Himiko! You're gonna overheat, or spring a leak or something!" Ochako told her.

"I can't help it! He looked so hot!" The shapeshifter squealed happily.

"Really? He didn't seem to be breaking a sweat to me." The gravity girl stated, before her friend gave her a deadpanned look. "Oh that kind of hot… Yeah, yeah I could definitely see that." She nodded.

"You should. I mean, it's like he was born with actual muscles!" Himiko exclaimed with a dreamy sigh.

'He does look that way.' Ochako couldn't help but think with a small blush, recalling Izuku's physique.

(The next day)

"Wait, I have to do what to inherit One for All?" Izuku questioned as they stood on Dagoba beach, which was a piece of shoreline piled high with literal mountains of trash.

"We've gotta make sure your body's strong enough to take the power of One for All." The blond man said. "I did some research and found out that this part of the beach used to be beautiful. We can use this to do the training we need." He explained. Izuku briefly vanished before reappearing with a totaled truck.

"Not to sound arrogant, but I'm already strong enough to do this." He said before lifting the old vehicle over his head with one hand and then crushed it into a marble sized ball. "I actually think I'm already strong enough right now. This will be just me getting some extra strength." He continued, tossing the trash marble into a trash can.

The display of strength shown by his pupil surprised All Might a fair amount if he was being honest with himself, but after giving it some thought, he concluded that the boy did have a point.

"You may be right, young Midoriya. You may be right indeed." The blondie nodded before he went buff again and then plucked a small strand of hair from his head. "Now, as you'll recall I stated that you need to ingest some of my DNA to inherit One for All." He said.

"And we're going with… hair?" The Saiyan asked, feeling understandably weirded out by the notion.

"Don't worry. I had the courtesy to take a shower this morning." The No. 1 hero told him. Izuku looked at the hair before he took it and then proceeded to eat it with a shiver.

"Ugh… how long until its power begins flowing through me?" He asked with a groan.

"At best about two hours, enough for you to digest it." The man explained before holding up some papers. "Now, regarding your strength training. I've taken the liberty of making a workout schedule for you that will help us improve your body and help you better handle One for All's full power on your own. I even blocked in certain times where we'll work on practicing with it as well while I was at it." He continued.

"Good. All of that should help." Izuku said as he looked it over, finding it to his liking.

And so, Izuku began ten months of hellish training that would drive a lesser man mad.

(Elsewhere)

Uraraka stretched in front of an entrance to the nearby park in her usual pink and black tracksuit as she waited for Himiko to arrive.

Hearing footsteps, she turned and smiled when her friend arrived in a pair of black shorts, grey trainers and a short sleeved grey T-shirt with Vlad King on it in a similar art fashion to Soviet propaganda posters.

"Hey Ochako!" The girl smiled as she ran up to her friend. "Ready to start our jog to the gym?" She asked.

"You know it. Let's go!" The brunette smiled before they started jogging.

(Later)

At the gym, the two met up with their personal training curator, a kindly man named Mr. Royomane Machio, who was going to introduce them to their new personal trainers for the ten months they'd be going to the gym for the entrance exams of UA.

The first was a white haired man with a wide chin, broad shoulders and an equally broad build. Though his most striking features were his two protruding lower canines.

The second was a grey haired man dressed in a combat uniform with an optical mask and two revolver cylinders on his arms.

Himiko was quick to recognize the first man right away as her face lit up like a Christmas tree.

"Oh my goodness, Vlad King!" She squealed in delight.

"And Gunhead too!" Ochako added.

"Hello ladies, you ready to get started on your training?" Gunhead asked the two. The two looked at each other before they both smiled.

"Yes!" They nodded in unison.

(Timeskip)

It was about eight months later and both Ochako and Himiko had been getting steadily more and more confident in their skills as well as getting stronger and stronger as well, both in body and mind.

Ochako for example now had Gunhead's brand of martial arts down to muscle memory and seemed to have developed some sort of 'zen mode' where if she had a way to take a person down, pure instinct kicked in. Gunhead also had Himiko help Ochako with her unarmed knife combat training.

And Himiko meanwhile had gotten so good at her parkour and combat gymnastics skills that it allowed her to employ knife techniques where she can cut a person up to twenty times in a matter of seconds and not get hit by them by gliding over them like an Olympic gymnast.

Vlad King also taught her how to sneakily take blood and even gave her a brand of blood flavored gum to help with her cravings.

They were ready to take on whatever UA could throw at them.

(Elsewhere)

Meanwhile with Izuku, he was busy testing out different ways to use One for All, and so far he could only manage to do attacks or mobility moves in specific limbs. The positive note was that his bones were more than sturdy enough to handle the backlash. The most he'd get was just a small ache if not a large bruise, but that was it.

Saiyan genes kicked ass.

"Now, Let's see how it amps up when I add in my Ki." The boy said to himself as he started attempting to channel one for All and his Ki at the same time…

BOOM!

A large green mushroom cloud rose from where he was, creating a massive crater where he was and also causing the body of cough smoke out of his lungs as he looked around at the decimated forest around him.

"Ohhh…" The boy groaned as he fell to the ground. "Bad idea…" He sighed before a red fox suddenly walked up to him and started licking his face. That made him smile a bit.

All Might, who was overseeing the boy's training, had taken cover to avoid the blast. When he saw the devastation, he nearly fainted had he not seen the admittedly adorable scene of the red fox licking Izuku's face.

'Note to self, do not mix Ki and One for All.' The man thought to himself for future reference.

(Timeskip)

It was the day of the UA entrance exam and Izuku was walking into the school grounds with his mind laser focused on the task at hand. However, this focus would—quite literally— prove to be his downfall. As he accidentally tripped on a pen someone left on the ground, and due to his large size, he was falling rather quickly.

'Really?' He deadpanned as he used his Ki to float and righted himself. He then took notice of two presences next to him and turned to see Ochako and Himiko standing there, the former having her hand stretched out to use her quirk, he figured.

"Looks like he didn't need our help after all." Himiko noted. She then walked up to Izuku and hugged his well muscled arm. "Hey, Izuku, did you miss us?" She asked with a smile.

"It's good to see both of you, too." Izuku said, chuckling a bit at Himiko's behavior. Ochako then grabbed Himiko while also giving the big teen a quick hug as well.

"Come on. We're gonna be late!" She told them before the three rushed inside the building.

(Later)

The written version of the exam was rather easy for the Saiyan boy, however he did have trouble filling it out due to his pencils constantly breaking when he pressed down too hard.

Now the boy was with Katsuki waiting for the practical exam to be explained by the Voice Hero: Present Mic, a blond man with shades, a small mustache and swept up hair.

"All right, welcome examinees! Let me hear ya!" He exclaimed energetically, and got silence in return. "Keeping it mellow, that's fine." He shrugged, trying to not sound peeved.

"Present Mic as the announcer, nice choice." Izuku noted idly as he crossed his arms. Mic then stated that the test was basically to destroy a bunch of robots with varying point values to gain points to pass. However before he could continue, a strict looking and bespectacled boy suddenly interrupted him.

"Excuse me, sir!" He called as he stood up and a light shined on him. "On the forms you gave us there are four villain types." He continued. "With all respect, if this is a mistake on official UA papers, it is shameful. We are exemplary students, we expect the best out of the country's best school. So a mistake like this won't do." He added.

"Who's the stick in the mud?" Katsuki whispered to Izuku, who just shrugged.

"So you caught that, huh?" The sound hero mused. "Well, simply put, that one's worth zero points. It'd be better to just avoid it. It's not unbeatable, there's just no point." He continued.

"Thank you." The boy nodded as he sat down.

(Elsewhere)

Izuku stretched as the students all gathered around for the exam and took notice that all of the other participants had fairly interesting looking powers. And as he tried to scan the area for a familiar face, he saw that Ochako and Himiko were busy talking about what to expect.

"I don't think I ever thanked her for helping me… better go ahead and do that." He nodded as he started walking towards them, before he suddenly felt someone tap him on the shoulder.

"They look like they're trying to focus on the test. Are you trying to disrupt their focus?" The bespectacled boy from before questioned accusingly.

Izuku turned towards him and noticed that he was over two heads taller than him and twice as broad. His sheer size cast a small shadow over the boy as he glared down at him.

"And what about you? Do you always make a habit of annoying people with your better-than-you attitude?" The Saiyan retorted, crossing his arms over his broad chest. Soon, the other kids turned around and recognized him.

"Holy crap, that's the guy that took out the sludge villain!" One of them noted in surprise.

"I heard about that, too! One punch was all it took, right?" Another asked.

"He's even bigger than he looked on TV!" A third nodded, before the gates opened and Mic called the start of the exam, and the students all started running, with Izuku flying over the others and looking for an opponent.

It was then that he saw a One pointer. Crashing down in front of the robot, he charged up a ki bolt which turned into the size of a bowling ball in his hand.

"Eraser Cannon!" He yelled as he hurled the ball at the robot, causing it to go through its chest then fly towards a group of nine robots made of Four three pointers and five two pointers, before it blew up and vaporized them. That brought him twenty-one points in total as he kept looking around for more targets.

And search he did, destroying robot after robot, racking up more points like it was nothing, One for All making his strength even more impressive.

(Elsewhere)

Meanwhile with the girls, Ochako was able to get twenty five points, while Himiko started slashing the wires and tires of the robots with her knives by gliding all over them. Getting up to twenty seven points.

However as they kept working, the ground started to shake.

"What the…?! What's going on?!" Ochako shouted before a giant shadow was cast over them, prompting them to look up and widen their eyes upon seeing the gigantic zero pointer.

"Oh no! Come on, let's bail Ochako—Whoa!" Himiko said before she suddenly fell over as her leg got caught under some rubble, but Ochako quickly floated it.

"I got you, Let's go!" Ochako told her, but before they could run, the robot spotted them and readied its arm for a punch and drove its fist down towards them.

However, before the titanic metal fist could land, Izuku appeared and caught it with both hands. He snarled as he lifted the giant machine off of the ground and spun it around, the other applicants watching it nothing but pure shock as it was spinning before it was thrown high into the air. Izuku then gathered his ki once more for a devastating attack.

"Omega Blaster." He said as the ball formed.

The attack in question was a small ball of ki which he compressed into the size of a marble before he tossed it lightly towards the flying machine… causing it to expand and consume it and all of the surrounding clouds in the sky in a massive explosion, which bathed the mock city in green light and caused a gaping hole to be left in the nearby cloud cover.

Ochako and Himiko stared at the hole in the cloud cover with gaping looks. In their minds, they'd just witnessed a monster killing a titan.

Izuku sighed as he turned around to face the two. "Are you both okay?" He asked, not noticing that his track jacket was torn and had fallen off him, showing his chest which was covered in training scars, including a large X one on his right peck.

"Um… y-y-yeah." Ochako stuttered with a huge blush as she looked at Izuku's muscles. 'HOLY CRAP, HE'S FUCKING RIPPED!' She yelled internally.

"... Mama likes." Himiko grinned perversely as she blushed at the boy's physique before realizing what she just said. "Uh, I mean, yeah—I'm fine." She nodded.

"Good." Izuku nodded, choosing to ignore what Himiko said.

(Elsewhere)

In the control room of UA, the faculty had come very close to being in need of new pants upon seeing Izuku's display of strength. They hadn't seen anything like that from anyone except All Might, and even he seemed to pale in comparison!

"... We're putting him in the hero course, right?" A western sounding voice asked.

"It'd honestly be pretty insulting to him if we didn't." A female voice replied in agreement.

"I must admit, All Might, I didn't expect your successor to be that strong." A kind voice whispered to the symbol of Peace.

"Neither did I, really." The man nodded.

(Later)

A few days after the entrance exam, Izuku was having dinner with his mother, and was staring at the fish he was eating rather intensely. This of course unnerved his mother to no end.

"Um, Izuku, honey? Are you okay?" Inko asked in concern. "You're staring at your dinner oddly." She added, snapping him out of his trance.

"Sorry, just thinking is all." The boy replied before he kept eating his dinner and decided to think about what was bothering him later.

After dinner he spent most of the night doing small workouts to pass the time, and occasionally texting Ochako, Himiko and Katsuki before Inko suddenly came in with a letter.

"Izuku, they're here! Your results came!" She exclaimed. The saiyan took the letter and went into his room so he could look at them. Opening the letter, he pulled out a projector.

"Booyah! I am here as a projection now!" All Might suddenly exclaimed as a projection of him suddenly appeared.

"A hologram message? That's new… Wait, why is All Might on it?" Izuku wondered as he looked at the image.

"I bet you're wondering why I'm on this projection. Well, that's because you're looking at UA's newest faculty member!" He exclaimed, surprising the boy.

"What?" He uttered with wide eyes.

"Yes and today I—Huh? Who's showboating? Oh fine but I have to tell him something first. Wait, I have to do how many of these things?!" All Might started to say before he got into a tangent with the director. The man slumped before clearing his throat. "Anyway, before we get into the points, have a look at this video I set up for your viewing pleasure!" He said before playing some footage.

"Um, do you have a sec?" Ochako questioned as she and Himiko came onto the screen.

"They came to talk about you young man." The man chuckled teasingly. "What are they here to say, I wonder? Hmm, let's see shall we?" He added as he pressed play again.

"Oh shut up…" Izuku muttered with a blush.

"Something you need, little listeners?" Present Mic asked.

"You know that green haired boy? The hunky walking mountain of muscle that took down that zero pointer?" Himiko questioned. "It's about him." She added.

"His name was Izuku Midoriya." Ochako added, a blush on her face at the mention of the boy's physique.

"If you two are gonna try to give your points to him in case he failed the exam, then don't worry. He's done spectacularly on it." The blondie told them reassuringly. This let the girls let out a sigh of relief.

"That's a relief, we were worried that him having to save us caused him to not get enough points in the end." Himiko said, Ochako nodded, glad to have that off her conscience.

Izuku felt touched that they were concerned about that for him, but they didn't have to be, even if he didn't get enough points to pass, he still would have saved them regardless. It was the right thing to do.

"You see that? Your bravery inspired them. That's what being a hero is about. This is where a hidden mechanic comes in." All Might continued as a chart came up. "And that's rescue points! Points awarded for acts of heroism beyond fighting villains. And you all got them. Izuku Midoriya: 100 rescue points. Himiko Toga: 25 rescue points. And Ochako Uraraka: 45 rescue points!" He added. "Your total number comes to 140 points! Young Midoriya, you have been accepted into UA's hero course! This is your Hero Academia!" He finished with a grin.

Izuku looked at his mentor and felt a tear of relief fall down his face, which he quickly wiped away. "Yes!" He said softly.

It was his turn to become a hero now.

Dragon Emperor0: Three episodes in one go, that'll bring our chapter count to only about five more to finish out season one. I'd say that's good progress.

ThermalsniperN7: Same here. Also, in case anyone's confused about all this, the reason Izuku got One for All early is because he was already inherently strong here. You've got plenty of proof already to back it up, too.

Dragon Emperor0: Yeah, now he has a much better understanding of the power and will probably have Full Cowling to use much earlier than before, probably in the Sports Festival. Also, it looks like he's an unintentional lady killer.

ThermalsniperN7: Yep. It would not phase me if he ended up bagging a few older women in the future. Who would be the most likely people in that case, I wonder?

Dragon Emperor0: Probably Midnight. Anyway guys, see you next time.
