San Francisco, California 1:30 pm
Rachel was still up having trouble going back to sleep; she was sitting on the couch. Her orange juice was sitting on the coffee table. She takes small slips of it; she wasn't sure what that dream had meant but she was hoping that her mind wasn't playing tricks on her. Hadn't heard Dick come into the living room sitting right next to her on the couch. He wraps his arm tightly around her shoulder; he kisses the side of her head. Lay her hand on his hand; she was rubbing her fingers against his hand. He turns on the tv and she starts to watch a movie with him. He is watching it with her; neither one knows what to say to the other. Rachel was very happy that he was up and around again. He had no idea how much she had missed him. How badly she was afraid to tell him; how much she suffered without him being there. Both of her hands are gripping his arm tightly afraid he'll disappear and fall into a coma again.
Two and half hours later
The movie was over with, he was looking at his watch figures that both of them would be getting hungry and soon. He was going through the phone book. He decides on some Italian food; he had ordered both of them some Lasagna, two salads and breadsticks. Dick was making sure that Rachel was okay, she hadn't talked very much on the way home. But he decided that maybe it was cause she had a lot to deal with stressed and so much on her plate. He was watching her very closely afraid she would disappear into thin air too. He was wondering if maybe both of their fears were echo each others fears and doubts. He was very worried about her too; wondering if she would up and leave him one day. Rachel could feel Dick eye's on her as if he was afraid of something. There was a loud buzz at the door; he went down on the elevator to go answer the door and get there food.
Rachel was at the island on a chair; she gotten herself out a grape soda to drink so she could eat an early dinner. Dick was coming up with their food. Her stomach was growling loudly; she and Dick were both eating. Uncomfortable silence filled the kitchen up. Dick knew that sooner or later they would have to talk about what had happened. "Rachel?! I know you when through a lot while I was in my coma." He was taking a long deep breath. "Wanted you to know, that I'm really sorry that I wasn't here for you. When you need me the most." He could see that Rachel was crying now; that tears were falling down her face. "If I could turn back time. Then I be right by your side for the rest of my life." Rachel had her hands on her face. She was becoming a sob mess of emotions; she was looking at him. He has a hand on her cheek. "Rachel, did I say something wrong to you?"
Rachel looks up at him. "No! What you said earlier, how you couldn't be there for me. I know you couldn't be there for me all of the time." She was using her sleeve to wipe away her tears. She was taking a few deep breathe to calm down herself. "I could feel you with me sometimes. Which worried but comforting all the same. I afraid that I would never see you again. That I couldn't look into your warm eyes for comfort. That you would never open them up again. That I was feeling all alone again; I made myself a promise that I wouldn't leave you again. No matter what happened, even if you never open your eyes again." She couldn't stop the tears anymore and she laid her face against his shoulder. He wraps his arms tightly around her; as a damn broke around both of them. Neither could hold in their pain anymore. He was letting her cry it out; he was holding so as not let go of her again.
Back in Columbia
Fletcher apartment 9:30 pm
Fletcher had returned home from the office; he was exhausted from running after the criminal. But he still couldn't get the images of what had happened to Dick and Rachel. Hard to believe that both of them are the heroes from the Titans. He had heard a lot about the Vigilante's who fight justice for people who couldn't fight for themselves. He had wondered what happened to the heroes after precrime went more public. But no one had heard a word from anyone about them. He don't realize that a real hero was right there at the department. Should have guessed; but then again no one knows the real superheroes identities. Rachel and Dick were closely thing to a family anyone had seen in a long time. Sure he had been married before, but it don't last long. Cause both of them wanted completely different things in their lives. He wanted to have a family and she wanted a huge career.
He was sleep after it was ten o'clock at night; he was having a very weird dream. He was somewhere very dark thinking someone was playing a trick on him. He was looking around; couldn't see a damn thing at all but then a voice said. "Why are you denying your destiny?" He was getting more confused by the minute. "What are you talking about?" He asked the voice; why was he the only one listening to whoever was talking to him. Then he saw a shadow figure at first it looked human and then a bird was in its place. It landed on the ground it's glowing red eyes were looking right at him. "Alright, I had enough games that you are playing with my head." The bird was looking almost right though him. "They still need you." He was getting more confused by the second. "They?" He asked the bird; feeling even more stupid by the minute. "The Raven and Nightwing. Both of them are very broken."
