"Well what do you think so far?" He asked Rachel.
"I think they need more practice, by it will take time." Rachel tells him.
Early the next morning 7:45 am
Rachel had gotten out of Dick bed; she saw a note on the nightstand. "Went to the store, take all of team with me. Except Fletcher. He decided to stay behind to watch you while me and the rest are gone." Rachel was looking down at the floor. She knew that one or more of the team members were going to be staying here. She needed to face them sooner or later. Fletcher could have taken her straight to justice precrime department. But he decided to let her go, she was getting very nervous about being alone with a complete stranger. She gets out of bed; goes back to her bedroom to grab some clean clothes. She head back to Dick bedroom; she takes his shirt that she kept. She was turning on the water letting shower warm up. She stripped out of her night clothes gets into the shower. She is washing up and gets out of the shower. She takes her time to get dry and into clean clothes.
She looks into the mirror was whispering to herself. "You'll be fine Rachel. You can do this just breathe deep and long."
Rachel had herself under control with her deep breathing excuses. She had to face Fletcher by herself at some point, she walks out of the room into the hallway. She saw that Fletcher was sitting at island reading the paper and having a cup of hot coffee. She walked into the kitchen going over to the coffee; pouring herself a hot cup of coffee with sugar inside her cup. Rachel takes a slip of hot coffee. She turns her head; see that Fletcher is staring right at her. Both of them are so quiet; that both are looking everywhere else. Rachel decides to speak first. "Morning." Fletcher could tell, she was trying since both were alone. "Morning." She drinks her cup of coffee very fast; she washes out her cup. Putting it inside the dish washer; then decide to go to the training room. Fletcher watches as she goes to the training room. He gets up to finished up his cup of coffee and puts his in the dishwasher.
Fletcher saw Rachel was sitting on the bench; she was looking everywhere but at him. He came over to her; "Mind if I sit down? I own you an apology." Rachel nod her head; he takes his sit few inches from her. "Rachel. I just wanted to tell you. I'm really sorry, that me and the others don't take the time to introduce ourselves to you. We should came talk to you that four months you were there. Not be so lost in our own ways." Rachel could tell that he was being sincere with his emotions. "If only we had paid better attention to your situation and how lonely you were. What was really going on with you. We could have saved you some pain you were feeling all that time." Rachel had her hand on her chin. "I mean I've seen some people go through hell, but nothing like what you went through. Never seen anything like that before in my life. Listen if you really do wanna talk. Then me and the team will be here anytime you wanna talk. I just wanted you to know that you aren't on your own. Do you accept my apology?"
Rachel was looking at the floor; she looks back at him. "I accept your apologize. Fletcher, it wasn't all your fault. It was mine too. I just got so uses to people running away from me. That I stopped trying with people; I'm always use to being the freak that no one wanted to know." She had tears in her eyes. "But then I meet Dick; first time in my life someone actually cared enough to look at me normal even if I am half human and half demon. I thought we actually had a family going, everything was going good. But it's my fault that things fall apart."
Fletcher speak up and says; "Rachel?! I don't think it was really all you're fault. Sometimes things don't workout the way we wanted them too. But I don't think you and Dick are responsible for whatever happened with the team."
Rachel was lost in thought for a long moment, that she is just crying.
Fletcher had something on his mind, "There something I been curious about. Why did you and Dick show me and the team those memories?"
Rachel looks down at the floor; she wasn't sure how to answer him. "I honestly don't know. Why? Maybe cause I was scared and alone had nobody. Dick was in a coma. I don't know what to do. I kept talking to him; thinking that would bring him around faster. I just wanted him back with me; so much that I wouldn't have to worry about being alone. But I was more alone at work; which was fine no one bug me."
