Hey, guys! Here is the twelfth chapter of Holy World Chronicles! The Alliance team up with the legendary Godzilla to fight off a monster attack in the city. Hope you liked it.
Chapter 12 - King of Monsters
Times Square, Manhattan, New York City
Kouga just chowed down on a chicken sandwich and enjoyed the taste.
"So good~!" Kouga hollered, or muffled because he's eating and talking.
"Eat first. Then talk." Yuna said, in an annoyed manner.
Right now, he's with Yuna, Taichi, Emily, Miku, Kite, Souma, Eden, Ryuho and Haruto at a Chick-fil-A restaurant in Times Square as the day is currently in the afternoon for lunch; a week has passed since the Alliance's vacation at Ocean City and coming back to New York to prepare for their mission to find the Cosmic Gems.
"Sorry you only have the six of us available, man." Souma said, just finished his own chicken sandwich.
"It's okay. We actually want to all you guys individually, starting with the six of you." Taichi explained.
"Wish we could invite Sachi-chan and the other girls." Yuna said.
"Aria's is training under Athena, Raki is working in the lab with Evan, and Sachi-chan, Emma and Selene are out with Wendy, Carla and Penny." Ryuho explained.
"Don't worry. It's fine with the six of you first." Emily explained.
"At least New York isn't giving us a hard time since coming back." Haruto said, drinking on a bottle of water.
Since the Kraken incident that soon became known worldwide, the Alliance has gained big time fame and got very popular, becoming New York's "heroes". Though none of the Alliance weren't totally okay with it, it would be nice to be treated fairly and not have to worry about any problems down the line. There may be some paparazzi here and there, but all of New York treated them like any ordinary New Yorker without any hassle.
On the positive side, the Alliance have been receiving some odd jobs to help out around the city like construction work, daycare, stopping criminals, etc., to earn some money to help with daily rent, and to buy whatever they want.
"And thank god the press are being calm and not hounding you guys." Emily commented.
"You really don't want that." Miku said.
"Got that right."
Eden's smartphone rang loudly, causing the Orion Saint to see the caller being Laxus. Eden picked up the phone and answered.
"Hello?" Eden asked.
"Eden. You and the others need to come back to the Guild Hall. Now." Laxus answered.
Eden became concerned by the tone in Laxus' voice. Almost as if… he's alarmed.

Guild Hall, Fifth Avenue, Manhattan, New York City
Having raced back to the Guild Hall in the Party Wagon, which they used to meet up with Taichi and his friends this afternoon, Kouga and the other five Bronze Saints, along with Taichi, Emily, Miku and Kite (all four who happened to tag along because they're concerned and no one would object), immediately see the rest of the Alliance and their mentors looking at the big screen TV up on the stage, and to their shock seeing a large crocodile and iguana hybrid raging through the Brooklyn Bridge, letting out a loud roar as people.
"And eye witnessing reports of a large alligator monster making its way to the Brooklyn Bridge. The military are minutes away and hopefully to keep the monster from reaching the city." A female reporter explained.
Everyone in the room became very concerned.
"That's no ordinary alligator monster. That looks like a Kaiju!" Nishinoya hollered.
"A what?" Yang asked, totally confused.
"Oh, as in Japanese for giant monster." Yachi explained.
"That's really smart, Hitoka!" Hinata commented, giving a thumbs up.
Yachi laughed sheepishly while blushing.
"But what the heck is it doing here?" Mavis asked.
"It won't matter if we don't stop it from destroying the bridge." Laxus said.
"Then we'll have to stop it. But how can we?" Blake asked.
"It's gotta be stronger than the Kraken, right?" Asahi asked, getting scared.
"Don't you start wussing out, Asahi." Laxus said.
Asahi sulked.
"Guess this is the perfect time to test our aerial rides then." Yamaguchi said.
This got the Alliance interested since they've only used the Combat Bunker, the Party Wagon and the Crow Cycle on the center and first bunker of their back garage. The second floor houses 2 aerial vehicles that are all ready for times like these.

"So… COOL~!" Kouga, Natsu, Happy, Ruby, Hinata, Souma, Sachi, Emma, Raki, Selene, Wendy, Romeo, Evan, Elfman, Lisanna, Yang, Jaune, Balto, Nora, Penny, Kageyama, Tanaka and Nishinoya shouted in unison.
The second floor to their garage are two aerial vehicles used for the skies. One is a silver, black and red-colored unique, hybrid-wing aircraft called the "Battle Wing", and the other is a black, orange and white military helicopter called the "Crow Copter".
"We just finished them last week, so they're all ready to go." Yamaguchi said.
"Then we have a plan." Jellal said.

Brooklyn Bridge, East River, New York City
The large alligator Kaiju let out a mighty roar as citizens on the bridge panicked wildly and ran for their lives.
The alligator Kaiju soon stopped its movements when rapid gunfire, while ineffective, managed to get its attention.
It turned to see both the Battle Wing and Crow Copter firing machine guns from their undersides and quickly took positions with the Battle Wing charging forward while the Crow Copter maintained altitude and provide cover fire from a distance.
The alligator roared loudly as the Battle Wing did a quick side to dodge its tail and fired the machine gun again.

Inside the Combat Wing, the pilots were Qrow and Weiss, with in the cockpit has Kouga, Ruby, Yuna, Eden, Souma, Ryuho, Haruto, Jaune, Ren and Nora.
"Damn! Looks like the guns could barely do any damage!" Souma hollered.
"At least we got its attention." Qrow said.
"We just have to buy time for the civilians to evacuate." Kouga said.
"You guys copy that?" Jaune asked, calling on the Crow Copter with a wireless earpiece.

In the Crow Copter, the pilots were Daichi and Sugawara, with only Hinata, Kageyama, Gray, Kiyoko, Elfman, Lisanna and Cana.
"We copy." Sugawara said.
"It's way tougher than the Kraken. But at least we don't have to beat it yet." Cana said.
"Let's get Natsu's team in for aerial bombardment." Gray said.
"Calling him now." Sugawara said.

The alligator Kaiju was blasted by a barrage of fire, iron, wind and lasers, turning to see Fairy Tail's 3 Dragon Slayers and their Exceed partners, along with Penny holding Yamaguchi in the air.
"It's really tough!" Wendy hollered.
"I'm really tempted to beat it more now!" Natsu hollered, getting excited.
"We're not beating this thing! Just to keep it from getting closer to the bridge!" Carla hollered.
Natsu pouted.
"As least you guys can fight without your hands being full." Yamaguchi muttered, feeling embarrassed how Penny is holding him bridal princess style.
"Gihihi. Too ashamed your robot girlfriend is holding you like a princess." Gajeel teased.
"S-Shut up!" Yamaguchi exclaimed, blushing hard.
"Not the time, Gajeel." Pantherlily said, having a sweat drop on his forehead.

On the bridge itself, the rest of the Alliance, along with Jellal and Master Saru, were helping the local police with evacuation. They also used the Combat Bunker and Party Wagon on standby to help with the Battle Wing and Crow Cycle.
"C'mon, people! Get off the bridge as fast as you can!" Lucy hollered.
"Don't look back! Keep moving!" Jellal hollered.

Back at the Guild Hall, Taichi, Emily, Miku, Kite, Raki, Selene, Aria, Zwei, Seiya, Saori, Makarov, Mavis and Oscar watched with worry and hoped the Alliance proved victorious.

The Battle Wing was soon hit by the alligator kaiju's tail and was about to crash onto the bridge. Luckily, Weiss was able to pull hard enough to ensure safe landing by skidding across the bridge before Haruto quickly jumped out of the Battle Wing and summoned a wall of earth in front of the plane, stopping it's advance but was still damaged it can fly anymore.
Kouga, Ruby, Yuna, Eden, Souma, Ryuho, Haruto, Jaune, Ren, Nora and Qrow quickly got out to meet up with the others.
"Yamaguchi-san and I worked an all-nighter on this baby." Evan muttered, depressed at seeing an invention he worked hard along thanks to his magic alongside Yamaguchi's technical expertises having its first flight, only to crash down.
"It's okay, bro." Romeo said, offering a comforting hard on shoulder.
The Crow Copter landed safely down after dodging another of the alligator kaiju's tail attack, allowing Hinata, Kageyama, Daichi, Sugawara, Gray, Kiyoko, Elfman, Lisanna and Cana to rejoin the others.
Natsu, Happy, Gajeel, Pantherlily, Wendy, Carla, Yamaguchi and Penny also landed down and quickly rejoined as everyone sees the alligator Kaiju now drawing much closer to the bridge as it stares the Alliance, Jellal, Qrow and Master Saru down.
"Guess this is it, huh?" Yamaguchi asked.
"Get your head in the game, man." Hinata said.
"If we go down, we'll go down fighting." Kouga said.
The Alliance, Jellal, Qrow and Master Saru smiled at Kouga's fighting spirit.
The alligator kaiju was ready to attack, but suddenly… a large figure sprouted upward from the bottom of the ocean of the East River, taking everyone by surprise.
The alligator kaiju was pushed back buck regained its footing. The water surrounding the figure disappeared to reveal a titanic kaiju sea monster with a long tail, powerful dorsal fins on the back, hands and feet standing like a T-Rex, and faintly glowing blue around its body.
The Alliance, Jellal, Qrow and Master Saru looked on with total shock.

Taichi, Emily, Miku, Kite, Raki, Selene, Aria, Zwei, Seiya, Saori, Makarov, Mavis and Oscar watched in total shock as well.
"Is that…" Miku said, softly.
"It can't be…" Taichi said.

The monster that saved the Alliance was none other than the legendary King of Monsters, Godzilla!
Godzilla let out a mighty roar that echoed the skies.
(A/N: Godzilla's roar is based on MonsterVerse incarnation, which explains his appearance too!)
The alligator kaiju let out its own roar as the two kaiju charged with extreme force. The clash generated an immense shockwave that shook the bridge, causing everyone to hold on tight.
"I CAN'T BELIEVE GODZILLA'S REAL!" Nishinoya shouted.
"HE WAS JUST A MYTH TOO! THIS IS AWESOME!" Souma shouted.
"NOT THE TIME TO BE IMPRESSED!" Yuna and Lucy shouted in unison.
"Such… overwhelming power!" Master Saru hollered.
"If this keeps up, they'll destroy the bridge and us with it!" Qrow hollered.
Godzilla swung its tail at the alligator kaiju, who managed catch the tail and attempted to throw the alpha predator. But Godzilla countered by firing his signature Atomic Breath that blasted the alligator kaiju several meters away.
"HE FIRED THE ATOMIC BREATH!" Souma shouted, having star-shaped eyes.
Kouga, Natsu, Happy, Ruby, Hinata, Sachi, Emma, Wendy, Gajeel, Romeo, Elfman, Lisanna, Yang, Jaune, Nora, Penny, Kageyama, Yamaguchi, Tanaka and Nishinoya had the same starry-eyed expressions in total excitement.
"CAN YOU IDIOTS TAKE THIS SERIOUSLY?!" Yuna exclaimed.
Godzilla stomped on the downed alligator kaiju as they both growled at each other.
"You'd be wise to surrender, Raiju." Godzilla said.
"Never! I only answer to ONE king!" Raiju hollered.
"Then crawl back to your 'king' and tell him his time is coming." Godzilla said, releasing his foot off Raiju.
Raiju quickly swam into the sea and fled in shame.
Godzilla looked up to the sky and roared in triumph.
The Alliance and all their allies present at the Brooklyn Bridge and the Guild Hall, looked with total awe.
Watching from above right at one of the towers was Venus, who smirked at the development.
"My, my. This world is full of surprises." Venus said.

An hour later, everyone partied at the Guild Hall in celebration and making it out alive.
"Who never would've guess this Godzilla actually saved our hides." Natsu said, laying on his back at the table he, Happy, Kouga, Ruby, Hinata and Taichi were sitting.
"It was amazing that he just left without even paying attention to us." Ruby said, remembering that after the battle, Godzilla left by swimming back into the sea without explanation.
"At least today was interesting." Kouga said.
"Though not as interesting as that time back on the 4th of July." Taichi said.
"That was a real blast!" Hinata hollered, pumping his arms.
"Aye!" Happy hollered.
"Pizza time, gang!" Master Saru hollered.
"PIZZA!" Kouga, Natsu, Happy, Ruby, Hinata and Taichi shouted in unison, racing from their table to get the pizza that's served as an early dinner with everyone gathering around to eat almost 10 packs of large pies for everyone in the room to eat.

Souma: I can't believe Godzilla's real!
Kouga: I know! It was wicked seeing him action!
Gajeel: Gihihi. That giant lizard's really something.
Levy: I kinda wonder why did it help us?
Souma: He's more of a mystery. But if he's on our side, that would give us a huge advantage!
Levy: But what if he's our enemy?
Gajeel: Well I'd be happy to teach him a lesson: Dragon Slayer style!
Levy: You seem confident, dear.
Kouga: Fighting the King of Monsters would sound both awesome and terrifying.
Kouga: But that will be up to Godzilla's choice.
Souma: Yep.
Kouga: Next time: Chapter 13 - Ninjas in the Alps.
Gajeel: Ninjas? Now we're talking.
Kouga & Souma: WAHOO!
Levy (having a sweat drop on her forehead): And we already have ninjas of our own…
