Hey, guys! Here is the thirteenth chapter of Holy World Chronicles! The Alliance team up with Chinese ninjas to find the first Cosmic Gem in Matterhorn, The Alps. Hope you liked it.
Chapter 13 - Ninjas in the Alps
Matterhorn, The Alps
In the beautiful Matterhorn mountain range of the Alps, it was peaceful.
Until that peace was disturbed by a blast of energy aimed at the ground, leaving a crater that was caused by a shadowy figure, accompanied by at least four others.
"It's not here." The first shadowy figure said.
"Keep looking." The second shadowy figure said.
The quintet were being watched from afar by another pair of shadowy figures from high up.

Guild Hall, Fifth Avenue, Manhattan, New York City
"The importance of a ninja is to use the art of stealth and cunning." Master Saru explained.
Master Saru is right now training the Acts of Order the art of Ninjutsu inside the Combat Hall with the quartet surrounding the old master in a circle while slowly walking to watch his movements; the scenery is a ninja dojo to Master Saru's liking.
Watching from the sidelines were Happy, Eden, Haruto, Gajeel, Pantherlily, Levy, Elfman, Lisanna, Nora, Ren, Tanaka and Nishinoya. Ozpin, in control of Oscar, was also watching and observing.
"Nah. I prefer a good ol' bashing!" Natsu hollered, charging first.
Master Saru smirked as he easily dodged Natsu's punch before using his staff to trip Natsu, before smacking him into a wall.
"Too aggressive, Young Natsu. You need to think before you act." Master Saru explained.
"Like he ever could." Gajeel snickered, before Levy elbowed him in the chest out of annoyance.
Ruby twirled Crescent Rose to let out a shot that propelled her towards Master Saru. Master Saru sidestepped and flicked his staff up with enough force to knock Crescent Rose out of Ruby's hands.
Ruby panicked and attempted to punch, but the little monkey jumped over Ruby and did a successful wrist lock that made the young huntress squirm.
"Ow, ow, ow, ow, ow, ow, ow!" Ruby hollered.
"Young Ruby. You still rely too much on your weapon and less on your fists." Master Saru explained.
"I exactly told her the same lesson." Ozpin thought.
Kouga attacked from the air by attempting to use his speed and a double-axe handle straight for the head.
Master Saru threw Ruby up towards Kouga, causing the two to collide into each other before hitting the ground at the same time.
"You must be aware dodging in mid-air is impossible, Young Kouga." Master Saru explained.
"Find ways to perform air maneuverability if your wings aren't available." Master Saru continued.
Kouga and Ruby groaned in some pain.
Haruto sighed. "They need to work on being more patient and not acting rashly."
"And that leaves…" Master Saru said, sensing Hinata hiding in the shadows of the dojo corners to get the drop on him.
Hinata threw some shuriken which Master Saru easily swatted with his staff, but that gave the little blocker the opportunity to draw one of his Ninjatō and dashed in a linear line to strike.
But Master Saru saw this coming and slammed his staff to the ground, while he jumped high with the momentum of his staff to dodge Hinata's strike, then slammed both feet on Hinata's back, smacking him to the ground.
"That's gotta hurt." Nishinoya said.
"Totally." Tanaka said.
"That concludes your training." Master Saru said.
"Man. We almost had you, sensei." Hinata said.
"You did. But there are plenty of areas to grow from." Master Saru explained.
"Would the Acts of Order, Eden, Haruto, Gajeel, Lily, Levy, Elfman, Lisanna, Nora, Ren, Tanaka, Nishinoya, Master Saru and Oscar report to the information desk immediately?" Jellal asked, over the speakers.
"Wonder what Jellal wants." Levy said.

Now on the first floor, those that Jellal called reached the first floor to the information desk where Saori, Seiya, Jellal and Makarov are. Mirajane was in the background giving a job description to Gray, Blake, Erik and Emma.
"We just found the location of the first Cosmic Gem." Makarov said.
"REALLY?!" Kouga, Natsu, Happy, Ruby, Hinata, Gajeel, Pantherlily, Levy, Elfman, Lisanna, Nora, Tanaka and Nishinoya exclaimed in unison.
"It's located in Matterhorn, The Alps." Jellal said.
"Qrow found that location out in his intelligence mission." Jellal continued.
"But we need to remember… we're not the only ones looking for them." Jellal finished.
Those gathered at the information desk now became serious in remembering that Nightmare and all their past foes are also seeking the Cosmic Gems.
"It doesn't matter who gets in our way. We'll take them down and get the Stone." Kouga explained.
"Damn straight!" Tanaka hollered.
"Manly!" Elfman hollered, flexing his muscles.
Saori smiled.
"But… how are we gonna get to Matterhorn?" Levy asked.
"It's located in the border of Switzerland and Italy, and that's all the way in Europe." Levy continued.
"We have a solution for that." Makarov said.

Outside in the front, the "Matterhorn Team" along with Saori, Seiya, Makarov and Jellal were in front of the abandoned sable.
"A horse stable? But we don't have horses." Natsu said.
Master Saru smacked Natsu in the head with his staff.
"You imbecile. Just watch." Master Saru said.
Saori stretched her right arm and immediately, a portal of power activated, shocking the Alliance teens present.
"A PORTAL?!" The Acts of Order, Gajeel, Pantherlily, Levy, Elfman, Lisanna, Nora, Tanaka and Nishinoya exclaimed in unison.
"Because of your efforts in stopping Loki, Lord Odin asked the dwarves of Nidvaellir to create a portal of magic that allows us to go anywhere each of those Stones are located." Seiya explained.
"We really should be thanking Lord Odin for this." Eden said.
"Are you all ready then?" Ozpin asked.
"Let's do it!" Kouga hollered, being the first to jump into the portal.
"Wait for us!" Natsu, Happy, Ruby and Hinata hollered in unison, being the next to enter.
"Those five…" Makarov muttered, pinching the bridge of his nose in irritation.
"All of you. Trend with caution." Saori warned.
"We will, Saori-san." Eden said.
One by one, the "Matterhorn Team" entered the portal until the last person (Ozpin/Oscar) entered. The portal closed in a second.

The Matterhorn team arrived at their destination, and became immediately awestruck by the beautiful mountain area.
"Wow…!" Levy said.
"These mountains sure are beautiful." Lisanna said.
"Matterhorn is part of the Alps, and quite the beautiful place indeed." Ozpin explained.
Master Saru smiled, before he sensed an odd presence close at hand.
That came true when the Matterhorn Team was hit by smoke bombs, obscuring their vision with loud coughs being heard.
"Smoke bombs?!" Hinata exclaimed.
"Who threw'em?!" Happy exclaimed.
Natsu and Gajeel tried sniffing the air with their Dragon Slayer enhanced sense of smell, but couldn't get a whiff.
"The smoke is negating our noses!" Gajeel hollered.
"That's what I was gonna say!" Natsu hollered.
Haruto calmly assessed the situation by closing off his five senses and activated his sixth sense. He soon sensed two presences and threw some kunai in the direction he senses them. The kunai were reflected by the two attackers and closed in on them.
Haruto, Ren and Master Saru stopped them in their tracks as the smoke soon cleared, revealing the attackers to be an old man and a 15 year-old girl dressed in ninja outfits.
The old man smiled. "You three are impressive."
"And I believe you'd never hurt us." Master Saru commented.
The two ninjas stood down, confusing Kouga and the others.
"Uh, what the heck?" Tanaka asked.
"We were simply testing to see if you're good or evil." The girl ninja explained.
"Could've been a better way to explain that without attacking us?" Nora asked.
"And what would be a better way?" Ren asked.
Nora couldn't think of an answer.
"In any case, you all searching for some kind of stone?" The old man asked.
"You know about that?" Master Saru asked.
"From rumors in our investigation. But there are five strange men who are tearing the land apart to find it." The old man replied.
"Then it looks like Uncle Qrow was right on the mark." Ruby said.
"Then it's best we work together to get the gem before our enemies do." Levy explained.
"Agreed." Eden said.
"What are your names by the way?" Haruto asked.
"My name is Zao Mei Chang." Zao Mei explained.
"And this is my granddaughter and disciple, Lee Chang." Zao Mei continued, introducing his granddaughter.
"Hello." Lee said.
"THEY REALLY ARE NINJAS! AWESOME!" The Acts of Order, Nora, Tanaka and Nishinoya shouted in unison, getting excited.
Everyone else simply deadpanned.

Two of the five shadowy figures revealed themselves as they searched by the lake. They were none other than Venusians 2nd-Class Sauk and Tetra, the first enemies Kouga, Natsu, Happy, Ruby and Hinata encountered on Earth.
"The gem must be here." Sauk said.
"Lord Nightmare gave us the locations, but not the exact ones." Tetra explained.
"We must hurry." Sauk said.
Sauk and Tetra continued searching for the Cosmic Gem located in Matterhorn.
Sauk suddenly saw something glowing that caught his eye and moved to the left of the lake.
Sauk continued walking until he senses the glowing object deep in the lake and walked inside, to Tetra's confusion.
Sauk soon reappeared from the lake with a glowing purple gem in his hands, before encasing it in a strong container made of a strange element.
"At last… the Power Gem is ours." Sauk said.
"Said to grant unlimited power and deal destructive force enough to destroy worlds." Tetra explained.
"Now we must return to our lords." Sauk said.
Before the two Venusians left, a blast of fire attempted to hit them both, but they easily dodged it.
"Well, well. Never thought we meet again… Pegasus." Tetra said.
Kouga, Natsu, Happy, Ruby, Hinata, Eden, Gajeel, Pantherlily, Levy, Elfman, Lisanna, Ren, Nora, Tanaka, Nishinoya, Oscar (with Ozpin still in control), Master Saru, Zao Mei and Lee were surprised.
"Sauk? Tetra?" Eden asked.
"Take it they're Venusians?" Levy asked.
"The two we fought back at the warehouse a few weeks ago - yeah." Ruby replied.
"Never thought you two idiots would show up again." Natsu said.
"Give us the gem and we wouldn't hurt you two." Hinata said, drawing his swords.
"Oh really? You fools don't have a clue what you're in for." Sauk explained.
"You would survive against the five of us, mortal scum." Tetra explained.
"Did he just say five?" Levy asked.
A blast of powerful wind blasted the group extremely hard; all except Master Saru and the Changs who managed to dodge easily.
"Seems flies love to gather and die together." A voice commented.
"More like a murder of crows instead of flies." Another voice commented.
The downed group looked to see none other than former member of Dark Guild of Eisenwald, and Red Dragons assassin Skytalon, to the shock of the Fairy Tail wizards and Karasuno players.
"Erigor?!" Gajeel and Lisanna exclaimed in unison.
"Skytalon?!" Tanaka and Nishinoya exclaimed in unison.
"Not you again, you stupid windbag!" Natsu hollered.
"Been a long time, Salamander." Erigor said.
"Too long to kick your-" Natsu said, before a blur was aiming straight at Oscar.
Luckily, Elfman came to his defense by activating Beast Soul: Lizardman to intercept the blur, only to be revealed none other than Hazel Rainart, a member of Salem's Inner Circle and with a grudge on Ozpin for the murder of his sister.
"I found you…!" Hazel hollered.
"Back off!" Elfman hollered, forcing Hazel back.
The Matterhorn Team and the Changs circled together with their backs as they face their five foes.
"Looks like we've got a fight on our hands." Gajeel said.
"Then bring it!" Tanaka hollered, drawing his sais.
"Eden! Haruto! You ready?" Kouga asked.
"Yeah!" Eden and Haruto hollered in unison.

The Superior Clothstones of Kouga Haruto and Eden started to twirl around as they faded into the galaxies.
The stars formed the constellations of Pegasus, Wolf and Orion simultaneously.
Kouga, Eden and Haruto braced themselves.
The trio donned their Cloths.
Kouga, Haruto and Eden did their respective fighting poses.
Kouga, Haruto and Eden were ready for battle.

Kouga charged at Sauk and Tetra with determination, but the two Venusians easily dodged and attempted to strike Kouga.
"Thunder Dance!" Eden shouted, shooting down lightning at Sauk and Tetra, forcing them to deflect the attack.
"I got your back, Kouga." Eden said.
"Thanks, man!" Kouga hollered.

"Fire Dragon Brilliant Flame!" Natsu shouted, shooting a large fireball from his hands at Erigor.
Erigor easily countered by creating a shield of wind to block the attack. Natsu growled before igniting his fists in fire and charged. He tried landing a punch but Erigor flew into the air. Ruby raced up using her Semblance with Hinata in tow.
Hinata attempted to slam his swords down, but Ergior was one step ahead.
"Storm Bringer!" Erigor shouted, casting a large tornado from the ground that blew away the three Acts of Order (Ruby and Hinata in the air, and Natsu on the ground).
Happy quickly used his Magic to try and grab Natsu, but was quickly blown away too.

"OZPIN!" Hazel yelled, charging towards Oscar with hatred.
Ozpin, still in control of Oscar's body, dodged Hazel's attack.
Hazel was about to attack again, until he got hit by Gajeel's Iron Dragon Club right in the face. However, the above 2-meter man didn't feel anything.
"Not even a total scratch?!" Gajeel asked, in shock.
Pantherlily, in his battle form, charged with the enlarged Musica Sword for a heavy blow, but Hazel injected some fire and lightning Dust crystals in his body as some kind of electrical vein flowed through his body, bulking him up in the process.
Hazel fired a combination of fire and lightning at Pantherlily, but he managed to dodge in the nick of time.
Levy shot Solid Script: Bullet, while Nora and Ren fired bullets from their weapons in projectile form. Hazel still didn't feel any permanent damage despite flinching.
"This guy's really strong." Lisanna said.
Hazel continued to glare at Ozpin with hate.

"Wind Blast!" Skytalon shouted, releasing an extremely powerful gust of wind from his wings at Haruto, Tanaka, Nishinoya, Master Saru, Zao Mei and Lee, all who braced themselves for impact.
"B-Bastard…!" Tanaka hollered.
Haruto held his footing and began charging Cosmo.
"Howl, my Cosmo!" Haruto hollered, rising his Cosmo to the Seventh Sense in a quick burst to blow away the attack.
Skytalon grunted.
"As expected of a Saint of Athena." Skytalon said.
"Guess you'll have to make do with these!" Skytalon hollered, snapping his fingers.
In an instant, strange humanoid monsters appeared out of nowhere.
"WHAT THE HELL ARE THOSE?!" Tanaka and Nishinoya exclaimed in unison.
"I see… these are Nightmare's personal army: Phantoms." Master Saru explained.
"Perceptive as ever, Old Master." Skytalon commented.
"Yes. Lord Nightmare's mighty army of darkness. Created to be numbers of infinity with no delay." Skytalon continued.
"And this is just a piece of this army." Skytalon continued.

Across different battles, several hordes of Phantoms have been showing up to cause problems.
"You see it now, Bronzes." Sauk said.
"You and your little 'Alliance' have no chance against our Coalition." Tetra said.
"Coalition?" Kouga and Eden asked in unison.
"That's right! An army of warriors created by Lord Nightmare from your previous battles to aid in his quest of universal domination!" Tetra hollered.
"We won't let that happen!" Kouga hollered.
"Oh, fools… You have no idea at all what you're in for." Sauk said, holding out the Power Gem inside the container as the gem itself starts to unleash a strong purple glow.
The battle to claim the first Cosmic Gem begins now!

Lisanna: Looks like our big battle is on.
Haruto: Seems so.
Ruby: We'll just have to step our game in this fight.
Lisanna: Yeah. Shame Matterhorn's gonna be a smoking crater after this.
Ruby: It'll still be a great sight, right?
Haruto: That's not the issue here.
Ruby: Man, you're no fun.
Haruto: We're not here for the fun.
Lisanna: Now, now…
Haruto: Next time: Chapter 14 - Battle for the First Gem.
Lisanna: Let's focus on the battle first, then we'll do some sightseeing another time.
Ruby: Fine…
Did you enjoy it? We're finally starting the hunt for the Cosmic Gems with the Power Gem (with the same abilities as the Power Stone from Marvel) being the first one! For Nightmare's army called "Phantoms", they're heavily inspired by the same creatures from the video game "Spider-Man: Friend or Foe".
For the group name of our foes employed in Nightmare's service, it will be called the "Coalition". A pretty catch name if I do say so myself.
