October 3rd, 1946, At Mountain Glenn.
Ruby rose was leaning against a wall as gunfire and explosions met her ears, Gone was her teams' innocence, Now they were starting to become Different, Team SDTT was pulled out of line to investigate a String of Robberies, Ruby's team was to join them.
Meanwhile The Romanian 10th Army began their attack against the Wehrmacht supported by the U.S First Armored Division, the SS Division Viking was stunned by the Ferocity of the attack and even the 442nd was impressed and aided in the Battle.
Ruby was taking cover with Staff Sergeant Pierson, Yang, Weiss and Blake were also with her.
"SNIPER IN THE BUILDING!" A U.S Infantry man shouted just as his head got blown off.
"Man down,Man down!" Another soldier shouted as he pulled a Soviet soldier who was bleeding out until a Infantry medic began tending to him.
"Let me see if I can hit him." Ruby said to Pierson who nodded.
"Daniels, Zussman, Aileos, Stiles lay down covering fire for Ruby!" Pierson shouted as the 4 men nodded and opened fire, Keeping the Sniper's spotter down as Ruby aimed at the Sniper, she fired Crescent Rose, The Dust bullet while slow had a lot of punch, went through the sniper's scope and into his eye.
"Snipers' Down! Nice work Ruby!" Daniels shouted just as an Allied Radioman ran over.
"Everyone! We're pulling out, Command wants all U.N Forces to return to Vale City!"
The Radioman said as he used a brand new weapon that U.S Soldiers are using The M5A2 Folsom Carbine, With a Grenade Launcher underbarrel that fires a 40MM round, The weapon itself chambers a .30-06 Round, 32 rounds.
"Roger that, Guys let's go! Get the dead and wounded, Destroy the train!" Pierson heard an officer bellowing as Pierson glanced at his Squad.
"Zussman, Aileos cover me!" Pierson shouted as he bolted towards the trains, the two Soldiers firing their weapons kept any Nazi attacker at bay even as some Bundeswher Engineers were working.
As Pierson slams into cover U.S M60 Patton tanks were also covering him and The Democractic Germans.
"Need any help?" He asked an Engineer just as a bullet from the White Fang went past his head. The Three factions have been fighting for days over Mountain Glenn and yet…
'We're pulling out' Pierson thought as the Engineers finally placed the Explosives they took heavy casualties getting here out of 5 Men who were to set the charges only 3 would walk out of the battle alive, Other Engineers were either busy fixing tanks or building a new defense line.
"No, Sergeant, we got it here!" The Engineer shouted just as the Nazis began to push against the U.N Lines.
Pierson nodded and watched as the Charges were set.
"Charges set! GET DOWN!" Pierson shouted as they ran from the trains and towards Safety a bullet hit one of the Engineers in the leg, Causing Pierson to put his Thompson up and helping him limp to safety just as the Explosives went off, The U.N Troops began to do a Fighting Retreat, Keeping the White Fang and Nazi Germans back.
"Go,go,go!" Daniels shouted at another squad whose Sergeant and Corporal were killed.
"More Nazis moving up!" A Bundeswher private shouted just as his STG-44 ran out of ammo.
As the attacks started to Stall the U.N Forces withdrew towards outside…
Outside of Mountain Glenn, 6:40 AM.
Ruby and her team sat and watched as U.N Medics began tending to the wounded and the dead were being put into the recently renamed U/AV-17 Hawk to be sent home, There were only 40 U/AV-17 Hawk VTOLs in The U.N's service, There were some irony when Atlas gave up some bullheads for the U.N Troops' usage.
"Are you team RWBY?" An American officer asked as he walked over it was obvious he was from General Eisenhower's staff.
"Yeah, we are." Ruby said as she watched U.N Forces being sent to Vale City no doubt to replenish Ammo.
"Team SDTT requests your help, They're waiting for ya at Beacon Academy, Follow me." The Officer said as they boarded the U/AV-17 Hawk, They sat down but noticed a group of soldiers with a unique unit designation, The Designation read, '2nd Ranger Battalion'
"Rangers?" Weiss asked as a U.S Ranger looked at her.
"Yeah, you gals are Team RWBY?" The Soldier asked as he stood up, His M5A2 Folsom Carbine being evident.
"We are, Who are you?" Ruby asked as the Soldier spoke.
"Sergeant Bill Taylor, Command assigned us to work with you guys, We're also working with an OSS Operative who's waiting with Team SDTT." Taylor said as his C.O looked over.
"Taylor, Get your squad ready." His C.O said as Taylor walked over to his men after nodding, The Man sat next in front of Team RWBY, Revealing Lieutenant Bars on his shoulders.
"I am Lieutenant Randall, U.S Army, Second Ranger Battalion." Lt. Randall said as He shook Ruby's hand.
"Pleasure to meet you." Ruby said, The U.S Army Rangers were quite a unique bunch especially the men who stormed Pointe Du Hoc.
"Lieutenant, We're approaching the Landing pad." The Pilot reported as Randall nodded.
"Alright, Taylor, get your men ready." Randall said as Taylor does so, The U.S Army Rangers getting their gear together…
Beacon Academy, Landing Pad.
As the U/AV-17 Hawk landed, Team RWBY and the men of the Second Ranger Battalion disembarked, Noticing a Man waiting for them wearing a Military uniform, His Blue eyes were watching them, Alongside Team SDDT.
"Nice to meet you, Girls Team RWBY, Am I correct?" The man asked as Ruby and her teammates nodded causing the man to introduce himself.
"I am William 'BJ" Blaskowicz, But you can call me BJ." BJ said as the girls nod and they got into a Jeep, accompanied by 2 trucks to carry the whole battalion to where they needed to go.
"Our target is a warehouse used by some Criminals, Our job? Get in and arrest whoever's in there." BJ said as he drove, They went by a Field Hospital the groans of wounded and dying was unpleasant for the Teens to hear about.
"It was worse during World War One, You had to worry about Gas Attacks which can either wound you or kill you if you were extremely unlucky." BJ said, reminding them for the unfortunate 15th time that they were lucky to NOT have this happen…
Outside the Target warehouse, 2nd Ranger Battalion's rally point.
As BJ and the convoy stopped not far from the Warehouse, The Rangers got out and into their Companies and squads, Randall, Team RWBY and SDDT, as well as Sergeants gathered together to plan the strike.
"Alright we're not sure what to expect so, We'll have to move fast and hard. If anyone has questions, Lemme know otherwise, Let's move." BJ said as they knew time was of the Essence as the men moved down, Blaskowicz took cover behind one of the doors with an AR-15 in his hands, He opened the door just as bullets flew past him, the fight had begun…
Inside the Warehouse, Silent Night plays
A White fang Squad began firing at the doorway, one of several key points, It didn't helped matters that the U.S Rangers were battle-hardened Elites, Moving with the confidence borne out of experience.
A White fang Specialist was busy engaging Takamori in a duel, The two swordsmen duked it out all the while.
Segrean Taylor was using his Carbine and used his 40MM grenade launcher to kill some White fang Grunts annoying Team RWBY, As Cinder watched the Soldiers fight, she eyed one particular combatant: Sullivan.
Cinder approached Sullivan who was using his new Multi-gun to devastating effect, Keeping most White Fang gunts heads' down Allowing the Rangers to set up a Stinger Machine gun.
"So… we will meet again." Cinder said venomously as Sullivan switched his weapon into a Sword, As The two Combatants moved in opposite Directions.
"You know you won't escape this Time, Cinder." Sullivan said just as the 442nd Infantry Regiment's Second Squad arrived and the African-Americans got to work, Just like they did during the Battle of Mountain Glenn they earned their keep during the Battle as African-American soldiers risked their lives to save White Soldiers
Cinder and Sullivan ignored the Battle as they Duelled, Sullivan knocked Cinder's weapon out of her hand and held his blade close to her throat..
"Surrender, Or else." He said just as Cinder kicked him away, Sullivan back flipped landing in front of the rest of the U.S Forces.
"How about no, Sullivan." Cinder said as she revealed Nazi Soldiers who ran in, Aiming their weapons at the U.S Troops.
"Son of a bitch! Kraut Infantry in the open!" A U.S Ranger said just as a Nazi Soldier shot him in the head, His blood coating Ruby.
The Nazis kept firing only for the U.S Army Rangers to fight back with their more Modern Weapons and Equipment.
"Fraulein Cinder, More U.N Forces are on the way, We should retreat." A German Soldier said
Just as the Nazi Soldier's words came true, French and Soviet troops entered, and Like that, The Soviets got in dangerously close, Using sharpened knives and entrenching tools much to the shock of Altiesan and other U.N Soldiers.
Cinder growled as Sullivan continued his push against her, His sword skills were adequate to see him through this battle.
:"We'll meet again, Boy." Cinder said as she kicked Sullivan hard, Sending him into a whole bunch of Crates.
"Sullivan!" Dixon yelled as he, Turner and Takamori as well as Ruby got to him, Sullivan groaned due to the force of the kick dislodging one of his ribs.
"You alright, Man?" Turner asked as Sullivan shook his head.
"Considering I have a cracked rib, It isn't funny…" He said as U.S medics tended to Sullivan.
"Randall." Turner called The U.S Ranger over as Randall walked over the Two Lieutenants spoke and then Turne walked back over.
"Ruby, I'm gonna ask Ozpin if we can take your team to our world." Turner said as this excited Team RWBY to no end.
"Really?!" Ruby asked excited as all hell.
"Yup." Dixon said as he grabbed a Cigarette to smoke, The Girls were excited much to the amusement of The U.S Soldiers…
Meanwhile on-board the USS Texas.
The U.S.S Texas was patrolling the waters outside of Okinawa as the Captain stood on the bridge, He watched as Ships from across the world ferrying Troops and supplies, The Public were invested into this war but, Everyone has a breaking point, On another ship were the wounded, The Captain sighed and looks around the ship.
"Captain, Looks like High Command has marked our ship to carry some Passengers, Team RWBY and our very own Team SDDT." A Crewman reported as the Captain nodded.
"Understood, Ask Admiral Halsey if we can get an escort, It will be a long ass while before we make it home." The captain said as the Crew nodded and responded with Typical "Yes Sirs" As he looks out he groaned, The Nazis had a base somewhere, He had hoped they'd find it but nothing concrete has come out yet….
Well, Everyone looks like I am slowly getting back into the swing of things, I was merely exhausted from writing, Took a Short break But during that time I wasn't idle, I planned some more stories, Hopefully I can finish a single fucking story before I do more, Anyway Please read and review, Yours truly, Jack.
