22 Right Person

The door slammed open with a loud bang and a very, very pissed looking figure stood by the door, hands on her hips, face scrunched up in fury. "Hotaru Imai, this better be a real emergency!" Her blue eyes scanned the room and when she spotted the said girl lounging on the bed, her eyes bulged out. "You said code red, you crazy wumman!" She puffed her cheeks. Her strawberry blonde hair bounced as she stomped her heels on the ground. "I ran here in these bloody heels and I even left Kazuki on our date!" she yelled in frustration.

Hotaru rolled her eyes and her hand leisurely continued flipping the pages of the magazine. "It's just one date. The boy won't run nor will he leave you. You already tied him down anyways. Poor the lad, though." She smirked.

The person's vein twitched irritatingly. The clutch she was holding, she threw it straight to where the raven-haired girl was, hoping it would magically hit her head. Hotaru scoffed as she watched the clutch ended up flying passed her. "That's why we never want to pair with you in P.E. Your throws are more horrible than a toad trying to sing."

"I don't see the correlation with the toad here but I rather not hear the explanation please." She gave a dismissal wave of her hand and walked inside the room. Spotting the couch on the middle of the room, she threw herself on the soft cushion. Her feet were propped on the coffee table. "It's rare for you to use code red. So what's the emergency anyways?" She looked around. "Where's Mikan Sakura?"

Just at that moment, Mikan emerged from the dressing room located in her room, still dressing the previous outfit she was wearing before. Looking at the new face in her room, she crossed her arms on her chest and threw a look at Hotaru. "You called Luna? Seriously Hotaru, that's the pro you were talking about?"

Luna's head spun around towards the direction of Mikan's voice and immediately, upon seeing the ridiculous stupid image Mikan had on, she abruptly stood up and her mouth hanged open. She stared at Mikan unblinking. Her eyes traveled from her head to her feet repeatedly. Her face was pure horror and she looked back at Hotaru as if her face was saying what the fuck is she wearing.

"That's an emergency alright." Hotaru chuckled meanly upon looking at Luna's reaction to Mikan's get-up.

Luna's face contorted into a disgust expression as she turned to look back at the brunette girl. She slowly and carefully made her way towards the girl. Reaching her, she lifted the tip of Mikan's pink hair with one finger. She shuddered at the touch as if the hair itself nauseated her. "Please tell me all this time you're not secretly working as a stripper and do pole dancing."

Mikan smacked Luna's hands away and glared at her. "Good grief, Luna, where would my morals be if I do that." She pulled the pink wig off her head and threw it behind her. "So my outfit gave me that impression huh," she mumbled to herself then turned to give Hotaru a mean glare. "That's your definition of trying your best, Hotaru?" She yelled across the room, feeling irritated.

Luna spun around and sent Hotaru an accusing look. "You told her to wear these?" Then she motioned for the rest of Mikan's body, which she ridiculously clad in an outrageous outfit. "She looks like a fucking slut! What the hell are you trying to make her look like, Hotaru Imai?" Luna was close to having a minor heart attack.

Hotaru shrugged, "Well, close enough."

Luna gave her a disbelief look before grabbing for her chest. "Oh god, I need to sit down. This girl really trying to make me die today." Instead on making her way towards the couch, she flopped down on the carpeted floor inside the room. Not only she felt her feet sore right now, she ran in her heels like a crazy woman upon hearing code red Hotaru gave her, shoving away anyone who blocked her way on the pavement, nearly knocked down a poor kid and his mother, spilled a man's coffee on his business suit in her rush; she literally bulldozed everyone today. She sent a silent sorry to them, hoping they're well now.

Not only that, upon receiving Hotaru's code red text, she grabbed her clutch and broke into a run, leaving a bewildered Kazuki behind on their date. Luna mentally groaned. She had better start preparing to hear Kazuki's preaching tonight. She massaged the bridge of her nose and sighed.

"Mikan Sakura," she started again, looking at her, "whatever that you're wearing," and pointed to the rest of her, "please take them all off. They're hurting my eyes as much as my brain right now."

Without further arguing, Mikan silently agreed. She felt uncomfortable in them too. She undid the zip of the skirt. Relief clearly portrayed on her face. She could finally take a deep breath. Not only the skirt was too short, it's ripped and tight that she felt like she's wearing nothing below except for her knickers. And her top, oh god. She couldn't even start. She had a hard time imagine where Hotaru found all these clothes. Did Hotaru befriend some back street hookers she didn't know about? The neck collar was too big for her neck; it ridiculously fell off her shoulder on one side and exposed the barest hint of her cleavage, and not only that, it was cropped and her belly was completely on the show. But that's not the grand prize yet. What makes the whole outfit on point of being a true slut is probably the fact that it's completely see through! So really, there's no point in wearing a top at all since her lace bra could be seen crystal clear.

She threw all the pieces of clothes together somewhere behind her and slipped into her comfy sweatshirt and a pair of shorts. Luna watched as Mikan bent down to pick up the lump of clothes lying on the floor. "You need to burn those, Mikan Sakura. So that you won't ever have to wear them again," she added while adding a cynical glare towards Hotaru.

She looked back at Mikan who was now joining her on the carpeted floor, sitting across her, hugging a pillow. "Now, mind telling me what's with the get-up?" She turned to look at Hotaru. "Is Mikan Sakura on the run or something?"

"Why are you asking me, Koizumi? It's not as if Mikan isn't here." Hotaru threw her a glance before picking up some chips from the bowl beside her and threw them inside her mouth.

"It's because you're the one who sent me code red, you wumman!" she said through gritted teeth. She grabbed for the pillow Mikan's hugging and attempted to throw it towards Hotaru. Again, the pillow flew right passed her. Luna puffed her cheeks. She felt irritated with Hotaru's lack of concern in the matter whereas she sent her code red. A bloody code red for crying out loud! Which only be used when there's a really, really, really emergency.

Hotaru finally closed her magazine and sighed. Taking the bowl along with her, she get down from the bed and took a seat on the couch instead. She looked down at her two friends now sprawling on the floor in front of her. Reaching for whoever iPhone she saw on the coffee table, her fingers punched on the screen, then passed it to Luna. Luna raised her brows at the image of a video played on Youtube. Nonetheless, she took the phone. "What's with this?"

All the while, Hotaru noticed the panic look Mikan was giving her behind Luna. That lass needs to calm down and trust her, she thought inside her head.

"Do you know her?" Hotaru was hinting Luna to the girl in the video. The room soon resonated with the girl's voice, singing.

Luna glanced at the name mentioned under the video box. Of course she knew her. Everyone does. Well, at least she thought everyone around her age does, because the girl was the only one capable enough to be at par with Eye Candy. Those narcissists she had to see every single day at AA, she inwardly clicked her tongue in annoyance. They were springing with fame and almost the rest of the AA adored them for that. Tch, nearly. She nodded her head, her finger tapped the screen to stop the video from playing. "Ellys Emerys, I've heard of her. So?" What's Hotaru hinting? Can't she just say straightaway?

The corner of Hotaru's lips curled up into a knowing deceitful grin. Now Luna felt even more puzzled. "Look closely, Koizumi. Observe and listen, very, very carefully." Hotaru had told her. Luna narrowed her eyes at Hotaru. "What are you up to, Hotaru Imai? Can't you just tell me straightaway?" She put down the phone to cross her arms on her chest. She's trying to figure out Hotaru now. But good god, figuring out what's playing in Hotaru's mind was the toughest brain work she ever done, let alone figuring out what's Hotaru planning.

Luna noticed Hotaru's lips quirked into a smirk before she answered, "Then I'm just spoon-feeding you. What will I get in return if I did just that hm?"

Luna rolled her eyes at Hotaru's words and decided to ignore them. She might as well wreck her brain and find it for herself. That much was obvious. Everyone back in AA knew Hotaru Imai's nature. She won't do anything that benefits others without benefitting her. In truthfulness, she just won't do anything to anybody if it doesn't benefit her. Luna glanced at Mikan who was sighing and thought, 'well Mikan Sakura may be the exceptions sometimes. Hotaru Imai occasionally goes all the way for her.' Luna inwardly chuckled. 'Sometimes,' she added silently in her head.

She returned her attention back to the video and forced her full attention on it. Though she didn't know where she should start observing. Moreover, she didn't know what she should observe in the first place. She already watched this video before. Ellys Emery's latest video called 'Invincible' already reached 987k views. For a video that shows nothing except for a brunette girl wearing a cap lowered down so low, only half of her face was shown, that was quite an incredible achievement.

She wasn't really a fan of hers but she had to admit, the girl got the voice and the talent. She made real songs with real music. Praise the lord, at least there's still people out there who still do that instead of putting together a bunch of good beats with a few lines and called it a song. Not only that, her voice oddly soothing to her ears, like she often heard it already. Every time she heard her voice, it didn't sound at all foreign. Another thing Luna found it strange. She scratched the back of her head out of habit. She didn't know how Ellys Emerys looked like nor anybody and yet, every time she heard the girl's voice, she felt the sense of familiarity. Why's that?

She heard Mikan humming to the song and caught a glimpse of her lying on her back on the carpeted floor, her eyes staring up at the ceiling. Her head was bouncing like she really enjoyed the song. Her humming matched with the beat perfectly, Luna had to smile. She remembered well, back in AA, Mikan Sakura always hum the song if she likes it. Seemed like she like this song of Ellys Emerys's.

"You like her song, huh Mikan Sakura?"

Mikan flinched at Luna's sudden question. She sent a look to Hotaru and Hotaru grinned that wicked one of hers. "Yeah, Mikan, why don't you sing louder?" Hotaru ushered her with her hands with her amethyst eyes sparkling with vile amusement. Mikan glared at her best friend and wondered if Hotaru think all of this was just for fun.

She sighed as she remembered what Hotaru told her previously; someone who's capable of keeping her mouth sealed. Thus, she had Luna barging in her room, saying Hotaru had sent her a code red text. Hotaru had personally texted her to come, which obviously mean she trusted Luna with this secret. Should she too, as well?

Mikan started reciting the lines correspond to the song, singing it just like how the song's blaring from the phone. It was perfectly synchronized of course; it was her song after all, not that Luna had realized it yet. She was so immersed into it, her head started moving along with the beat. Luna saw her smiling face while singing the song. Even her rhythms too, Luna was absorbed by her, moving her head from side to side. The mood was good, Hotaru grinned to herself. She silently moved to lower down the volume without them noticing. All the while, watching the entire scene starting to unfold before her eyes.

"Now I am invincible
No, I ain't a scared little girl no more
Yeah, I am invincible
What was I running for
I was hiding from the world
I was so afraid, I felt so unsure
Now I am invincible
Another perfect storm"

After the chorus came on again, Luna came to a standstill when she realized Hotaru had lowered down the volume. Her head stopped moving. She listened then narrowed her eyes in bewilderment. She stared at her brunette friend. Mikan hit the high notes after the chorus perfectly well matched with the song. Now Luna felt awfully perplexed. Mikan Sakura can't possibly hit the high notes exactly the same as the song. She felt her stomach churned in uneasiness. Oh boy, that's not a good sign. It's not possible. Could it be? She had an uncanny feeling about Mikan's voice now. The color slowly drained from her face.

But Mikan, on the other hand, didn't realized what she was doing. She continued singing like she usually did, hitting the every each notes perfectly well.

Hotaru finally grinned to her ears. Everything fell to its place just how she wanted. A little differently than what she had planned earlier but, she mentally shrugged, the result was the same eventually so it didn't really much matter how it happened. She was fully aware of Luna's sudden changes of act. Luna had now staring at Mikan with the most puzzled expression she had ever seen on her face—Hotaru felt like laughing seeing Luna like that. She knew now Luna was confused to what she's hearing. Bet she's thinking it's highly impossible that their voice sounded the same.

Hotaru grabbed for the pillow on the couch and went to crouch down beside Luna. Mikan stopped singing when she saw Hotaru had now gotten down from the couch. Hotaru titled her head to one side as she looked at Luna. "It's not really impossible, Koizumi," she suddenly said and went to cover half of Mikan's face with the pillow.

"Shit." Now the color really drained from her face. "You're kidding me." She looked pale now, as white as a sheet.

"No we're not." Hotaru grinned darkly.

"You're telling me, they're the same person?" Luna choked on her words. "Is this what all of these are about?" The thought of knowing it filled her head with dread.

"Luna, I'm so sorry we got you involved but—" Mikan started but immediately got cut off by Luna's sudden outburst of curse words which pretty much sounded like, "Holy fucking hell, you're shitting me! Fuck fuck fuck! Holy fuck. This is so unreal!"

The two best friends watched as the strawberry blonde haired girl raked her hand through her hair repeatedly, once in awhile tugging them hard like she was trying to rip her head apart. She blinked at Mikan hard, still cursing. "Holy shit. You're Ellys Emerys."

"Yeah I think we already acknowledge that seven seconds ago." Mikan scowled. "And stop cursing so much, Koizumi," she growled. "I bloody hate it when you start doing that."

"Well, I'm sorry for being so utterly surprised!" She rolled her eyes and clicked her tongue. Abruptly, she narrowed her eyes, thinking of something. "I don' think the word surprised can describe me well right now. To be honest, I'm more than surprised." She turned to look at Hotaru to seek for vocabulary assistance. "Is there a word that exceed surprise? I don't think flabbergasted is enough to express myself. Is there any word higher level than that?"

Mikan smacked her shoulder with her hand to get Luna's one tracked mind now, back in the real matter. "I get it, you're surprised!" She made a grand gesture of waving her hand in the air for sarcasm. "So let's just drop it at that, okay."

"Okay fine." Luna held up her hand in surrender. Then she narrowed her eyes again at Mikan. "Fuck, why didn't I notice it before. You guys have the same hair colour and length," she mumbled, finally conscious of Mikan's brunette tresses. For the first time ever, she actually really stared at her hair.

"Luna Koizumi," Mikan warned, getting annoyed.

"I get it okay. Just give me five minutes to calm my tits down and clear up my head." She stood up and started pacing in the room before finally asking the permission to use the bathroom. Mikan didn't know why she had to go to one, but she let her still.

When Luna disappeared through the door, Mikan grabbed for the pillow and covered her face. More like trying to drown herself actually. Hotaru heard her groan before peeking at her behind the pillow with a worried look. "Are you sure this is okay?" Mikan whispered. Though Hotaru didn't know why she's whispering in the first place since Luna's not in the room. "Letting her in the secret, you sure about this, Hotaru?"

Hotaru shrugged. "Luna is a crazy bitch" but then she smiled, "but she's a trustworthy friend too and we're gonna need her help in this. Trust me on this."

The door barged open with a fresh looking Luna standing at the door. Her make up were all gone, leaving her in her bare face with water still dripping. "Okay you two. I've washed my face a dozen time to clear up my head and I had calmed my tits down too so tell me what you two want me to do."

The two sweat dropped, looking at her. That was fast.

"She's debuting," Hotaru started, pointing to Mikan. "Ellys Emerys is finally showing herself to the public so we need a get-up that suits her."

"Nobody had seen Ellys Emerys before so I think whatever idea we come up with, should be fine," Mikan added hopefully.

"A get-up huh." Luna nodded, hearing and registering all the words inside her head. Her mind did a quick calculation. "So we're throwing Mikan Sakura's image completely for Ellys Emerys's debut?"

"Not just her debut, but we're creating Ellys Emerys herself. That image is how people will perceive her as and that image too is what she's going to live with for the rest of her career."

She nodded her head in understanding and the corner of her lips curved into a cunning smile. "Okay ladies. You come to the right person for the job."

And the two best friends just watched Luna Koizumi popped her knuckles for the first time.
