Subaru looked at Aqua. "No I don't ha-" "It's ok I got it covered" Aqua cut off Subaru showing that she had brought some coins with her. They then proceeded to order food. "Aqua, I asked where Kazuma was" Darkness repeated. "That's the thing, I have no idea. He was sitting right in front of me then poof he was replaced with Subaru" Aqua explained.

"Oh the turmoil for I don't know Kazuma, our leader's fate. Oh how I will miss him." Darkness said dramatically while blushing. "Is she ok?" whispered Subaru. "So why are you so hungry? Also can you tell me a little bit about yourself?" Subaru asked Megumin. "Oh I'm homeless, I don't eat much. I am Megumin. I am an arch wizard that wields the most powerful, most feared, most deadly spell in all the land!" Megumin with the same level of dramatization when she first joined the party.

"That's a really dramatic introduction for a homeless person. But hey I guess we got that in common. I am-!" "I swear to myself!! Please I already introduced you don't you think that's good enough" Aqua cut off Subaru. "I guess it is" Subaru said smiling as the locked eyes in an intimate moment with them both smiling for a second.

"Well you can stay in the stable with us" Subaru offered. "No actually I think I'll pass" responded Megumin. "Why not? you always wanted a place to sleep?" Asked Darkness. Subaru also realized what she meant. "That's an awfully lewd thing for a child to say" Subaru said. "So the fact that your a goddess that's your reasoning. So are you saying gods and goddesses have never in history been with humans." Said Megumin.

Aqua and Subaru stopped at the stable to grab Kazuma's starter sword for Subaru. But then they followed Aqua into a field.

"They should be here" Aqua said. Then on cue over a hill a crowd of skeletons with swords marched forward. "Crimson demon blacker than black darker than night…Show me your might… Eeexplosion!!!" Chanted Megumin.

Subaru looked in amazement as a magical circle appeared under the skeletons. But all the skeletons quickly ran or jumped out of the circle except one skeleton. If this one skeleton had the flesh on his face to look embarrassed he would be. Then a massive fireball engulfed the lone skeleton.

"Wow that was…. Megumin are you all right? Is she dead?" Subaru said he held the sword to his throat.

"Megumin, you idiot. No no no she just can't move for a while" Said Aqua.

"Behold in such dire circumstances I Darkness will take the blows" Said Darkness as she sprinted toward the skeletons.

Darkness swung and missed and was quickly surrounded by these somewhat smart skeletons.

"Turn undead! Turn undead!! Turn Undead!" Aqua yelled with each phrase a skeleton fell down into a harmless pile of bones. I have to save her, Subaru thought. Subaru charged in and swung his sword at a skeleton's neck but there was no resistance. Subaru thought he missed at first but Soon a skull fell to the ground and the other bones with it.

Darkness was swinging wildly. Till finally a skeleton fell.

"I finally got one!!" Darkness yelled. Another skeleton ran at Subaru. He sliced through the gap between the skeleton's spine and pelvic girdle. It collapsed.

"Turn undead!! Turn undead" Aqua said.

Darkness and Subaru both swung hitting the last one.

"I actually hit something!! I feel like an adventurer" said Darkness

"How did you not???" Said Subaru but Darkness was too filled with glee to hear. Darkness then picked up Megumin and put her on her back as if she had done it before.

"Come on Subaru let's go to the Inn to celebrate" said Aqua. They made it back to the Inn and were given a sack of gold but not after a very long waiting time. But when they did get the money they immediately started eating and drinking to celebrate.
