Bogel and Weerd ran down the stairs, smiling and laughing as they held the Chest Of Demons in their hands.
"We got it!" Weerd exclaimed. "The Chest Of Demons is finally ours!"
"It was so easy for us this time too, they didn't even see us! But wait…" Bogel paused for a moment. "This feels like it was a little too easy."
"Who cares if this was too easy or not? We got what we've been wanting for years now. This is way better than all those other times we've tried to steal the chest."
"Yeah but, we've never been able to succeed this quickly before. I feel like this is going to backfire on us somehow," he admitted.
"No it won't. You're only saying that because of all those other times we've failed. Just get that out of your head!" Weerd told him.
Bogel thought about this for a moment.
"You know what, Weerd? Maybe you're right."
"Of course I'm right! Now, let's keep going."
Bogel nodded, and they both continued to run down the stairs together.
Daphne looked around and took a small, deep breath as she, Flim Flam, Vincent, and Asamad had finally unlocked the door into the 100th floor. They were closer to the stone now more than ever.
"Finally, we've made it, and it looks like the Reflector Specter hasn't gotten here yet," she said.
"So, which one of the rooms has the stone?" Flim Flam asked.
Suddenly, everyone noticed a small, blue light glowing from a room all the way at the end of the hallway.
"What is that?"
"That must be it. That's the stone," Daphne replied.
They began to move towards it and went inside the room, looking at the Stone Of Mirrors as it was kept in a glass container.
"Okay, all we need to do now is grab the stone, meet back downstairs with the others, who, hopefully, should have gotten the chest back now, and then we can capture the Reflector Specter once we see him again," Daphne told everyone.
She started to lift the glass container, but immediately jumped when she heard a loud, deep voice fill the room.
"YOU IMBECILES!"
Everyone turned around and gasped as they saw the Reflector Specter, with his whole mirror cracked, looking as if it would break at any second now.
"Did you honestly think you would defeat me so easily?" he questioned, then turned to Vincent. "I may have lost some of my magical abilities because of you all of those years ago, but I will make sure you lose something now too!"
Daphne and Flim Flam both suddenly screamed now as the floor beneath them broke and they found themselves levitating over it.
"Flim Flam! Daphne!" Vincent and Asamad called out.
The warlock then turned to the Mirror Demon.
"Let them go!" he ordered. "I'm the one who trapped you in that mirror, not them. I don't care what you'll do with me, just please, leave my kids alone."
"Let them go now!" Asamad insisted as well.
The demon stared at Vincent now.
"Oh, I won't let those two go, but I will admit, I want to see you suffer as well. Seize him!"
Vincent then immediately found himself being grabbed by more of the Mirror Demon's monsters. He tried to break free, but their grip was too strong on him.
"Vincent!" the others screamed.
Asamad tried to free the others as well, but he was quickly pushed down by both the Reflector Specter and his monsters.
Once he finally got up, the Reflector Specter stared directly at him.
"It's like I told you before, you are nothing! I am above you now and forever!"
He quickly used his powers to draw the stone towards him before Asamad could take it, and within a few seconds, it hit his mirror, but the stone had suddenly shattered instead.
"What!?" he fumed. "This cannot be! The Stone Of Mirrors was supposed to free me."
He looked up at Asamad, who slightly laughed at him.
"It seems as though you have underestimated my power," Asamad said.
"So it was you! How dare you just destroy my stone!"
"Of course it was me. You were foolish to think that I wouldn't have been at least one step ahead of you. Do you even remember how powerful I was and still am? Whether you like it or not, I will always be above you."
He lifted his hand, fixing the floor beneath Daphne and Flim Flam, and then letting them come back down to the ground safely.
He then began to fight the monsters that were still grabbing Vincent.
He blasted his magic at them, weakening them just long enough for Vincent to escape and run over to Flim Flam and Daphne.
"Are you two alright?" he asked with a look of concern.
"We're fine," Daphne told him.
"Yeah, but what about you?" Flim Flam wondered.
"Yes, I'm alright," he assured him.
He then helped the both of them up, and went to go help Asamad fight the Reflector Specter's monsters.
As they defeated them, Vincent immediately blasted his magic at the mirror, quickly fixing all of the cracks that were within it.
The Mirror Demon then made an attempt to attack Daphne and Flim Flam, but Asamad and Vincent had used their magic to hold him down before he could cause any harm.
"If I cannot be freed from this mirror, then you will be forced to join me, Vincent Van Ghoul!"
A portal then opened in his mirror, with a strong wind coming out of it, and Vincent was beginning to feel himself being pulled in.
"NO!" he cried, but then Asamad grabbed his arm to pull him back before anything could happen.
Flim Flam and Daphne tried to pull Vincent back as well, but then also felt themselves being pulled into the mirror, until Vincent grabbed their arms, pulling them back.
Asamad then fired his magic at the Reflector Specter, knocking him against a wall, closing his portals.
He let go of the others now, and Vincent continued to join him in fighting the ghost.
Daphne now turned to Flim Flam.
"I think we need to call the others to see if they have the chest by now. I don't know how much longer we have until he gets the chance to actually pull us into his mirror."
Flim Flam looked at her and nodded nervously, taking the crystal ball out of his pocket.
