Velma, Shaggy, Scooby, Cheryl, and Jayden kept searching downstairs for the Chest Of Demons before they heard a call coming from the crystal ball.
"That must be Daphne and the others," Shaggy said, pulling the crystal out of his pocket.
Everyone looked at it as Daphne's face showed up.
"Daph? Is everything okay?" Velma asked.
"No, did you guys find the chest yet? Or at least who stole it?" she questioned.
"No, we're still looking for it. Wait, what's wrong?"
"The stone doesn't exist anymore."
Shaggy paused for a moment.
"Wait, what do you mean it doesn't exist anymore?"
"Asamad destroyed it once it almost got too close to the Reflector Specter," Daphne told him.
"Okay, so what's the problem then? If Asamad really just destroyed the stone, then the Reflector Specter can't be freed from his mirror," Cheryl said.
"Well yeah, he's still trapped in that mirror, but now he just tried to pull us into it. Vincent and Asamad are still fighting him, but we don't know how long it'll be before we'll actually get trapped," Flim Flam responded, his face now appearing in the crystal as well.
The others looked at each other in silence, not knowing what to say, until Velma finally said something.
"As long as Vincent and Asamad are there, you shouldn't get trapped. If anything bad actually does happen, just call us again and we'll come upstairs."
"We will," Daphne replied. "Let us know right when you find the chest."
"Sure rhing, Raphne," Scooby nodded.
Both Daphne's and Flim Flam's faces now faded from the crystal ball, and the others kept on searching.
"You know, I'm not sure what would be worse right now, having someone else open the chest and we have no idea it's happening because we're not there to stop it, or us catching them opening it, but being a little too late to stop them," Jayden shuddered.
"Like, I really don't want to think of either of those possibilities," Shaggy gulped.
Suddenly, they all grew silent as they heard faint voices from the other side of the wall.
"Who is that?" Velma whispered.
"I don't know," Cheryl said, before she and the others leaned up against the wall, trying to listen more closely.
They listened for sometime, and had all slowly begun to realize something.
"Wait a minute, those voices sound familiar. They sounded likeā¦"
"Bogel and Weerd," Velma finished. "I can hear them talking about the chest! They're probably the ones that stole it!"
"Ugh, rof course rit's rhose two," Scooby exhaled. "So, rhow are we roing to ret rit back?"
Before anyone could reply, however, Bogel and Weerd teleported right in front of them, quickly trying to hide the chest that they stole.
They both then turned around to see the others staring at them in absolute fury.
"We know you stole it," Velma told them.
"We're getting tired of this too," Shaggy sighed. "The both of you have been going after the Chest Of Demons for years."
"So what?" Bogel asked. "Since it's ours now, you'll be too distracted with trying to get it back while the Reflector Specter gets the Stone Of Mirrors."
The others looked at each other.
"You weren't supposed to tell them that! Now, they'll try to find the stone again," Weerd whispered to the other ghost.
"So, you stole an ancient chest that can hold the most powerful and dangerous demons from us, just so that we would be distracted from getting the only stone that could free one of those demons from their mirror?" Cheryl questioned.
"Yeah.." Bogel responded.
The others looked at each other again and smiled for a second, as the two ghosts stared in confusion.
"The stone doesn't even exist anymore," Velma said.
"What are you talking about?"
"It got destroyed. Oh, and our group obviously split up, so not all of us were distracted with trying to find the chest after you took it," Jayden answered.
The two ghosts now looked at each other and then at the chest.
"Our plan hasn't completely failed us yet! Come on, Bogel!" Weerd exclaimed.
They both then quickly made a run for it, followed by the others immediately chasing after them.
"You won't get away with this!" Shaggy also exclaimed.
Minutes had passed, and they were all still chasing them down an empty hallway, starting to get exhausted from all the running.
Bogel and Weerd, somehow, accidentally bumped into one another as they ran, and fell down, hitting the ground while the chest fell out of their hands.
Velma quickly picked it up before the two ghosts could, and stood right in front of them, looking as if she was about to trap them in there herself, and they both took a couple of steps back.
"Okay okay, we'll leave you alone for now!" Weerd cautioned.
"Yeah, we promise!" Bogel quavered.
They then teleported away, leaving the others in the empty hallway.
"Well, we'll definitely see them again soon, but at least we don't have to deal with them anymore for the rest of today," Velma sighed in relief.
"And we got the chest back too," Shaggy added. "Let me call Daphne back."
He took out the crystal ball, and waited until Daphne's face showed up.
"Any news?" she asked.
"We got the chest back," he told her. "Turns out, Bogel and Weerd were the ones who stole it from us."
"Of course, I should've known it was them," she said, slightly rolling her eyes. "Where are they now?"
"They left. We don't have to worry about them for now. Anyways, are you guys safe?"
"Yes, we're fine. We're still fighting the Reflector Specter, though."
"Okay, we're on our way over there," he responded.
She nodded, and her face disappeared from the crystal before the others had begun to follow Shaggy up the stairs.
The fight between the Reflector Specter, Asamad, and Vincent had continued on, with Daphne and Flim Flam waiting for the others to arrive.
As Asamad was blasting his magic at the Mirror Demon, a simple idea came to his mind.
He stopped fighting him, and stood there for a second before everyone else noticed.
"Maybe you were right, maybe now I am nothing due to my plan to seek redemption."
"What are you doing?" Vincent whispered.
"Do not worry, I've got this," he whispered back.
The Mirror Demon looked at Asamad in slight confusion.
"Really?"
"Yes, it was pathetic, I know. But, I am done with it. I wish to free you from this mirror and join your side once again," the red ghost said.
The demon nodded as Shaggy and the others slowly entered the room with the chest.
"Very well then, I knew you'd become evil again eventually. Yet, how are you going to free me? For you have destroyed the Stone Of Mirrors."
Asamad waited until Velma was right behind him to answer.
"Like this. Velma, now!"
Velma immediately opened the lid of the chest, and the Reflector Specter felt himself being pulled out of his mirror and into the chest.
"No!" he yelled. "You tricked me, Asmodeus! You will pay for this once we meet again!"
The lid then shut on its own, and no one could hear him anymore.
Everyone then smiled and clapped, celebrating that another ghost was now recaptured, but there was still one question on their minds.
"So, what do we do with his mirror now that he's gone for good?" Daphne wondered.
"Well, since we cannot break it, and no mortal should ever be near it again, I suppose it is best if we hide it in a safe place in the castle," Vincent told her.
