Where we last left our heroine Nocturne, she was given a new power after her heart gave her the keyblade, Starlight.
Her mom told her to beware of the darkness that will come after Nocturne, but Nocturne knew what she has to do.
Now, she's on her way to Metropolis to not only enjoy the festival, but to start her adventure to destroy the darkness.
[The School Bus]
Every minute, the bus keeps getting closer and closer to Metropolis while the other students chat, relax and sleep on the way to their location.
Nocturne, on the other hand was curious about the necklace she received from her mother and wonders what power lies within the necklace.
Nocturne: (Looks at her necklace) I wonder what this necklace that my mom gave me?
Reine: What'cha got there, Nocti?
Nocturne: It's a necklace. My mom gave it to me as a special good luck charm.
Reine: Looks very nice, Nocturne.
Nocturne: Why thank you, my dear Reine.
Reine: (Notices the sign that says "Welcome to Metropolis" and tells Nocturne that they're here) Nocturne, we're here!
Nocturne: Whoa. So that's Metropolis, huh? Well it looks like my destiny starts here and now.
The students in the bus were very excited to go to the School Festival, because they're ready for the time of their lives.
[Metropolis]
[Metropolis - Metropolis High - Entrance]
Everyone was getting off from their buses, until Nocturne and Reine were the last ones out.
Nocturne: So this is it. Metropolis. My new destination for my adventure. (Nocturne went inside of the school without Reine noticing)
Reine: Whoa, so this is their school? It's very amazing! What do you think, Nocturne? (Notices Nocturne was missing) Nocturne?
Nocturne: Sorry, Reine. But I must do something that you wouldn't understand. (Went ahead without a trace)
Nocturne was a bit disappointed about leaving Reine behind, but she has a job to do, protect the worlds from darkness.
She noticed that everyone was gathering to the gym and she had to be in a hurry, otherwise her journey won't begin.
[Metropolis - Metropolis High - Gym]
When Nocturne went to her seat, she saw Reine and she tried to signal her to come by.
Reine: Nocturne, why did you go on ahead without me? I was worried sick about you!
Nocturne: Sorry, I had to go use the bathroom. I haven't used the bathroom for a few hours.
Reine: Good point. I haven't used the bathroom either. Also, I hope we can participate on what kind of event the festival is going to have.
Nocturne: I sure hope so, we'll always have each other's backs no matter what!
Reine: Oh, looks like the opening ceremony is about to begin.
A girl went to the middle of the gym that has a podium at the center.
Lois: Welcome students, this is Lois Lane and I would like to welcome you all to this wonderful school festival!
The crowd in the gym was cheering with pride, while Nocturne was being calm as she can be.
Lois: Every school from across the world participates each and every year to celebrate their teamwork and friendship to achieve something special and learn lessons along the way. (The crowd applauded Lois' speech) I wanted to thank each and every school for participating in this spectacular event, we wouldn't have created this special event without your support. (The crowd applauded Lois' speech once again)
While Lois was giving her the rest of her speech, Nocturne's necklace started to react and it was changing colors from red, then blue, then yellow and green.
Nocturne: What's going on with my necklace? It's glowing in red, blue, yellow and green. Looks like my necklace is very special than I thought.
Nocturne's six selves arrive right next to her while the other students were focusing on Lois' speech.
Nocturne's Other Selves: Metropolis is the place where you can start your journey to save the worlds from darkness.
Nocturne: Huh? What do you mean?
Nocturne's Other Selves: You'll find out, soon enough. See ya Later. (Left without a trace)
Reine: Whoa, Nocti. Everyone in our class is going to be participating in this festival with the other school joining in on the fun.
Nocturne: Huh? (Snaps back into reality) Oh, I know! Everyone is really going to be very happy with their participation. I wonder if there's anyone who can help me understand my necklace's power.
Lois: So without further ado, let's enjoy the school festival everyone!
The entire gymnasium was pumped up and ready to get out of the gym and ready to enjoy the festival.
Nocturne: Reine, why don't you stay with me and help me out with my necklace. Is that okay?
Reine: Sure thing and while we're at it, we can enjoy some good stuff at the carnival.
Nocturne: Well, at least I won't get bored while I investigate my necklace. So let's go!
Nocturne and Reine went out of the gymnasium and into the school festival, where there's games, activities, food and prizes.
The dynamic duo were enjoying some fun games to get tickets by winning some games, they'll take turns, compete against each other and show good sportsmanship.
When they did some activities, they like to work together on arts and crafts, read stories together and customize their own accessories.
They even ate some food here, they were quite similar to the foods they ate back at Nightfall Academy.
After their food break, they head on over to the prize center and trade in their tickets for some really cool prizes and put them in prize bags.
(A few hours later)
Lois: (Loudspeakers) Ladies and gentlemen, get ready for this year's school festival event!
The students of this school were cheering with pride.
Lois: (Loudspeakers) The event of the year will be...drumroll please? (Then there was a drumroll and in just a few minutes, it stopped) The Masquerade Ball!
Everyone was cheering with excitement and Nocturne and Reine were pretty hyped about this event.
Nocturne/Reine: The Masquerade Ball?! (Screaming like fangirls)
Reine: Nocturne, this is going to be the best day ever. A masquerade ball, just like last year.
Nocturne: The masquerade ball. (Her eyes were sparkling) The magical party where we can be the queens of the ball.
Reine: You said it, we were quite the party girls back then. So, we can do it again here in Metropolis.
Lois: (Loudspeakers) The masquerade ball starts tomorrow night at the gymnasium, so get ready for tomorrow and thank you for enjoying the festival.
Everyone was so excited for the masquerade ball tomorrow night, even Nocturne and Reine. So, they all went out of the school and prepare for tomorrow night.
Nocturne and Reine had other plans than preparing for the ball. They were also investigating Nocturne's necklace, while preparing for the ball.
(A few minutes later) (Timeskip - Afternoon)
[Metropolis - Sweet Justice Cafe]
Nocturne and Reine were sitting down on the table, while looking at Nocturne's necklace with some thought and Reine noticed something on the back of Nocturne's necklace, there's a special gem on the back of the necklace.
Reine: Um, Nocturne. You might want to look at your necklace and while you do that, I'll order something for the both of us.
Reine went to go buy some some cafe food, while Nocturne on the other hand, she found a gem that's on the back of the side of the necklace and revealed a holographic image of her mother.
Nocturne: Mom? Is that you? If you are, tell me about this necklace that you gave me.
Nocturne's Mom: "Nocturne, this necklace contains something that will help you from your journey. Sometimes, if light doesn't work, you'll have to face the darkness with darkness. Within this necklace contains your light, but there's some darkness within you. Don't worry, your darkness isn't evil as the Heartless. Your darkness is powerful, it balances the light inside your heart. I hope this will help you on your journey. Love, your mother."
Nocturne: (Begins to cry for a little bit) Mom. Thank you for this magical gift. But wait, what about the four colors?
The holographic image of Nocturne's mom showed up from the gem again.
Nocturne: "P.S - The four colors. Red, Blue, Yellow, Green and the other three colors will determine your form and will also be a good source of help." Huh? There are seven colors of the rainbow? I wonder what this could mean?
Reine: Hey Nocti, look what I got for the both of us. A big bowl of Chocolate Fudge Ice Cream! (Passes a small bowl to Nocturne) Here you go, one bowl for each of us.
Nocturne: Thank you. (Nocturne looked at her necklace again and started to glow in all colors of the rainbow) So these must be the colors of the rainbow.
Everyone in the Sweet Justice Cafe saw the light show that's going on here in the cafe. They were all mesmerized by the lights.
Reine: Whoa! Gotta love the light show! (Winks at the readers who are reading this story)
(Meanwhile outside)
Zee: I can't believe this, Karen. You, me and the girls are going to the masquerade ball here in our own school!
Karen: I know, me in the masquerade ball. I hope my dancing lessons with Diana really paid off. Not like what happened last time when Cheetah came.
Zee: No kidding. I mean, did you see what she did to me? She would've ruin my hair and my looks. But luckily, not this time.
Karen: That's right, this time we won't have any more problems today and tomorrow. Even if I screw up a bit. (Nervous laugh, while blushing)
While they were on their way home, the two girls noticed a crowd gathering around Sweet Justice.
Zee: What's going on at Sweet Justice? Karen, you mind checking it out?
Karen: Sure thing, I'll call you over if I see something unusual.
Karen went across the street and head on over to Sweet Justice. But the problem was that there was too many people going on.
Karen: I can't see a thing. There's way too many people blocking the view. (Thought) Think, Karen, Think. You must think of a way to see above these people. I'd use my technology to see through. But, I can't do that. (Sees a chair by the table and she thought of an idea) (Reality) I think I got an idea.
Karen went to the tables that are outside of the cafe, she picked up a chair and placed it near the window that's near her. She got on the chair and saw something amusing.
Karen: (Yelling) Zee, you need to come see this! I know what's causing the light show!
Zee went over to Sweet Justice to join Karen on what was going on in the cafe and when they looked through the window, they were surprised at what they saw.
There was a girl who's necklace was glowing to the colors of the rainbow and the necklace was glowing like a laser light show.
Zee: That girl's necklace. I sense a magical presence within it, along with that girl who's wearing it.
Karen: You think so? Because a necklace that shines very bright with the colors of the rainbow, you think it might be magical.
Zee: I know so. (Sees the necklace very closely) You know, I think I saw that kind of necklace before.
Karen: You know what that necklace is? Well, should we go see her?
Zee: Let's wait until the crowd gets to a minimum, then we'll go see her.
Karen nodded and the two girls waited while watching the laser light show in Sweet Justice.
Zee remembers that necklace pretty well before and wants to find out if it's the real deal.
(A few minutes later)
After the bright glow, the glowing lights dimmed down to a minimum and everyone applauded to the bright lights that Nocturne gave off.
Nocturne: Wow, talk about blinded by the light. All right, this necklace is pretty amazing. One minute, I looked at it and it was showtime!
Reine: Yeah, like it was showtime indeed! (Her head starts to have a headache) What's with this headache? I never even received brain freeze yet!
Nocturne: Whoa, my necklace is very special indeed. I never believed that it could do that. Anyways, that came out of nowhere.
Nocturne felt a bit blinded, so she took off her glasses, rubbed her eyes a bit and cleaned them with a cloth that she took out from her glasses case from her bookbag.
But when she was done cleaning her glasses and putting them on again, she saw two girls in front of her and Reine.
Zee: Excuse me. Me and Karen can't help but see that your necklace was putting on that light show for everyone to see.
Karen: Your necklace, it's different and amazing. It was glowing in the colors of the rainbow. Even I was amazed by it.
Nocturne: (Looking at her necklace) Yeah, but you two saw this? While everyone was watching? I wonder if the necklace that my mom gave me actually contains special powers beyond my imagination.
Zee: Maybe the necklace itself might be a magical necklace. Because I can sense that there's magic within your necklace!
Nocturne: Really? You really think it's magic? Like, Real magic within my very special necklace?!
Zee: Are you okay? You're feeling a bit excited about the magic that necklace contains.
Nocturne: I'm feeling okay, thank you. It's just that I'm a magic believer and I often read fairy tales when I was younger and learn card tricks, along with building a card tower.
Zee: That's pretty amazing. Maybe I can check out your cards skills sometime and check out your fairy tale collection. Anyway, care to tell me your name?
Nocturne: Oh my, where are my manners? I'm Nocturne, charmed to meet you. (Gets up from her table and takes a bow)
Zee: You can call me, Zee Zatara! It's quite the pleasure to meet you. (Took a bow as well)
Nocturne: This necklace of mine is the best thing I've ever had! Even when I made a birthday wish that my life would be a musical and magical adventure!
Zee: Really? That's really an amazing wish that you have. I'm proud of that.
Karen: Hello there. Nocturne, is it? My name's Karen. Karen Beecher, it's nice to meet you as well.
Nocturne: Nice to meet you, Karen. I would like you two to meet my best friend, Reine.
Reine: (Headache's gone) Oh, why hello there. I'm Reine, Nocti's best friend and sorry for the wait, I had a headache for a while.
Karen: It's nice to meet you, Reine. I'm Karen and this is my friend, Zee.
Zee: The pleasure's all mine, Reine.
Nocturne: Hey, do you want to join us for some ice cream? Because, me and Reine are about to eat this big bowl of Chocolate Fudge Ice Cream Sundae!
Zee: Sure thing. After watching that light show, we deserve a little treat. What do you think, Karen?
Karen: I think some ice cream wouldn't hurt a bit. So I guess I'll join in as well.
Nocturne, Reine, Zee and Karen were about to enjoy the ice cream sundae together. Until this happened.
Nocturne: (While eating) Oh man, this ice cream sundae is the best. I don't want to stop eating!
A breaking news report just came in through the TV.
Newscaster: This just in, monsters are on the loose in Metropolis. We don't know where they come from or why they're here, but we do know one thing about them and that would be that they're very dangerous. Here's a visual on what these monsters look like.
The picture on the screen showed that there are Pureblood Heartless roaming around the city and streets of Metropolis, while civilians were in total panic in the pictures.
Nocturne: (Sees the Heartless in shock) Wait a minute, those monsters are embedded in darkness. (Remembers something) Embedded in darkness. (Realizes something)
Nocturne remembers her mom's words before she left.
(Flashback)
Nocturne's Mom: They're also known as the dwellers of darkness. You need to be on the lookout for them.
(End Of Flashback)
Nocturne: Dwellers of darkness...Those are the Heartless!
Reine: Heartless? What are you talking about, Nocti? Those monsters are heartless? Well, that's not very nice of them. They should be good monsters.
Nocturne: Not that kind of Heartless, those monsters are the enemy that will plunge this world into darkness!
Karen: Darkness?! (Hides Behind Zee) If they are from the darkness, are they going to eat us?
Zee: My dear Karen, they are not going to eat us. Besides, they're just blobs with yellow-beady eyes. What's the worse that could happen?
Nocturne: Zee, I wouldn't jinx it if I were you. Something bad always happen when someone says that.
Reine: Uh girls, I hate to be the bearer of bad news. But look, monsters in armor! (Shows them the TV)
The TV news broadcast showed that it's not just Pureblood Heartless, but Emblem Heartless as well. The other girls were in shock, but for Nocturne however, wasn't.
Nocturne: Zee, Karen, take care of Reine. I've got business to take care of. (Summons her keyblade, Starlight) I'll see you girls later. (Leaves Sweet Justice)
Zee: (Noticed Nocturne's keyblade) That weapon, where have I seen it before? Karen, would you mind staying with Reine for a bit? I'll go help out Nocturne with her issue.
Karen: Sure thing, Zee. I'll take care of Reine while you help out Nocturne fight those monsters.
Zee: Thanks, Karen. I knew that I can count on you. (Leaves Sweet Justice to help out Nocturne)
(Meanwhile with Nocturne)
[Metropolis - City - City Streets]
Nocturne: (Running to the Heartless' location) Those Heartless, I can't let them cover this world to darkness. I will protect this world with my life.
While Nocturne was running, Zee was being a bit sneaky and following Nocturne with caution.
Zee: The necklace and the weapon. What else could be missing in this mystery? (Continues onward to help Nocturne)
Nocturne finally arrived to the scene of the crime where the Heartless are attacking and prepares to fight them with all of her might.
Nocturne: So, you guys must be the Heartless. It's quite an honor to meet you. I wish to know more about you, but I can't let you envelop darkness within this world.
Zee was at Nocturne's location where she meets the Heartless, face to face. She was behind a building where she can't be detected by her.
Nocturne: And for trying to destroy this city, I have one question for you. Can you guess what time it is?
Zee: (Shocked at Nocturne's saying) Those words! I know I heard those words from before, but what's the picture?
The Heartless were clueless for the question Nocturne gave them and for Zee, she knew who she was after Nocturne says this.
Nocturne: Heartless, it's Showtime! (A spotlight shined upon her, like she's ready to put on a show)
Zee: (Gasp) I can't believe it. It's actually her! The leader of Cirque Du Lune, The Joker's Wild herself, Nocturne!
Nocturne: Heartless, prepare to be defeated by me and my blade, Starlight! (She began her stance, just like Aqua's stance and she's ready to battle)
The Heartless began going after Nocturne as she dodged every attack the Heartless threw at her. With style.
Nocturne: You call that an attack? Ha! Let me show you how an attack should be landed! (She went towards the Heartless and strikes the Heartless in one fell swoop)
The Heartless were getting a bit angry for one of it's companions fall, but there were more Heartless on the way.
Nocturne: I won't let you get pass moi! (Uses a Shotlock to stop the Heartless from escaping) Union Ragnarok! (Fires at all the Heartless, until they're vanquished)
Zee: Now I remember! I've met her once when I was little and me and daddy saw her on our travel around the country.
Nocturne defeated each and every Heartless that she took out, after the fight, the Heartless were gone.
Nocturne: Thank you! Thank you! You've been a kind audience! (Blows kisses to her audience)
Zee: So it's really her. I can't believe it's been so long, I almost didn't recognize her and her behavior.
Nocturne was about to head back to Sweet Justice, until she heard something coming from her necklace.
Nocturne's Mom: (Via Necklace Communicator) Nocturne, can you hear me?
Nocturne: Mom? Is that you? How are you here in Metropolis?!
Nocturne's Mom: (Via Necklace Communicator) I'm not in Metropolis, I'm still in Nightfall City. By the way, I'm talking through a communicator through your necklace.
Nocturne: My necklace is a communicator? Whoa. Now this got from amazing to spectacular! First, I was talking to the Heartless like I was in a show and the Heartless were so surprised to see me, then I told them "What time is it?" and I told them, it's Showtime!
Nocturne's Mom: (Via Necklace Communicator) (Gasp) The special keyword...no one has ever said that in our family for generations.
Nocturne: Showtime? (Noticed a strange power, deep within her) Whoa. What just happened?
(Meanwhile at Sweet Justice)
Karen: I wonder what's taking Zee so long with helping Nocturne out.
Reine: I don't know. (Finished her third bowl of ice cream) But all I know is I'm stuffed.
Karen: You're tapping out already? (Eating her bowl of ice cream) Because I'm still fine and I'm not beat yet.
Reine: (Remembered something else) Nocti? Where's Nocturne?
The news channel came on the TV once again for a news update.
Newscaster: We interrupt your day with some breaking news, a teenage girl has confronted the monsters and has beaten them with a strange weapon on her hand.
Reine: Wait, strange weapon? (Gasp) Nocturne?!
Newscaster: The monsters were gone, thanks to this teenage girl. Before she fought them, here's what she said to them.
Nocturne: (On the news) Heartless, it's Showtime!
Reine: (Haves another headache) Not again!
Karen: Reine? Are you okay? Is it the ice cream?
Reine: No, I think it's when Nocti said "Showtime" (Gets another headache) I need to get to Nocturne, before it's too late!
Karen: Hold on, Reine. I'll take you to see Nocturne and find out what's going on with you. Maybe Zee will help out too.
Karen helped Reine up and they went to go see Nocturne and Zee to help Reine with her headache.
(Meanwhile with Nocturne)
Nocturne's Mom: (Via Necklace Communicator) Nocturne, there's something that you and I have to discuss. Head back home for now.
Nocturne: But mom, I'm pretty far away from home and I'm still at my field trip from the School Festival and the finale is a masquerade ball!
Nocturne's Mom: (Via Necklace Communicator) There's another way you can get home. Try using your keyblade, honey.
Nocturne: Okay, if you say so. (Uses her keyblade and summons up a world gate back to Nightfall City) A World Gate!
Nocturne's Mom: (Via Necklace Communicator) Alright Nocturne, time to head on back home.
Nocturne: I'm on my way, mom! Here I go! (Went through the World Gate)
Zee was so surprised that Nocturne was gone, but noticed that the World Gate was still open.
Zee: Nocturne, so this "World Gate" leads straight to Nocturne's home? I wonder.
Karen: Zee! Thank goodness, you're here. (Noticed that Nocturne's gone) Wait, where's Nocturne?
Reine: Nocti? (Suffers from the headache) When will this headache ever pass on?!
Zee: What's wrong with Reine? Did she have too much ice cream today?
Karen: Yes and no, Yes, she had way too much ice cream and No, it's because of when Nocturne said "Showtime" and it's giving Reine, a huge headache.
Zee: Well, Nocturne went through this "World Gate" and if we pass through this gate, we'll find Nocturne.
Karen: I hope so, because Reine won't be able to hold out very long.
Reine: (Trying to resist the headache) I don't care, we're going to Nightfall City!
Zee: Ladies, we're on our way to Nightfall City!
Karen: Wait! Shouldn't we call the others first, before we go?
Reine: Others? What do you mean by that?
Zee: It's our team, Jessica, Kara, Babs and our leader, Diana. Me and Karen are also part of it, as well.
Reine: Whoa, I wish me and Nocturne could see them. But first, we need to go find Nocturne.
Zee: You're right, Reine. This mission is between the three of us to find Nocturne and cure Reine's headache! Let's go, Karen and Reine!
Karen: Hold on, Reine. Because we're heading to your home and we'll find your friend in no time!
Reine: Nocti, I hope you're hearing this, because I'm coming to see you at your home, back in our world at Nightfall City!
Zee, Karen and Reine went through the World Gate that leads to Nightfall City, I hope you're all excited for this moment to happen.
Because this journey is not over to begin with, what lies ahead will be a spectacular sight for the girls to see.
Will Nocturne be at her home? Will Reine's headache pass away? And Will Zee and Karen finally see Nightfall City?
These questions will be revealed soon enough, as the journey continues!
