Greetings Readers! After getting over writers' block to be it with college, I have decided that I am going to continue writing this story as this is something that I enjoyed putting it together. Enjoy and please be patient with me as I am writing this. Enjoy the story

The Next Day

Just as planned, Maylu and Lan woke up very early with two feathers in hand for their prey. They each stood next to their target and on the count of three. tickled their nose until the whipped cream made contact with their face. The two of them hid behind the couch as the targets ran into the bathroom to wipe off the cream. Maylu and Lan sneak into the kitchen to start breakfast as a few minutes later, Princess Pride and Dex joined them.

"Which one of you two did this?' Dex asked as Princess Pride looks confused. "These two and Chaud were known to prank the ones who decide to go to sleep in the middle of a movie".

"Well to be fair, I warned you way in the beginning whoever falls asleep early will be pranked. It's not my fault that you just weren't so lucky last night" Lan explain as Maylu giggles.

"Which brings me to my previous question, which one of you two did it? I know it wasn't the both of you as Maylu has grown past this prankster phase" Dex declares with a smile, but it fell as Maylu giggles got louder.

"I am so sorry sweetie, but it was the both of us," Maylu said as Princess Pride looks at the both of them.

"That was a very interesting prank you two pulled. Who came up with it?" Princess Pride asks looking directly at Lan. Lan scratches the back of his head as Maylu laughs.

"It was both of our ideas, but it was one of the old pranks that we used to pull. Lan, I believe you can handle the rest of the breakfast as I go freshen up in the bathroom" Maylu said as she walks off to the bathroom. Lan returns back to finishing the pancakes as Princess Pride grabs the plates to set up the table with Dex assistance.

A few minutes later, everyone gathers at the table to eat. After a joyous breakfast, Maylu offered to wash the dishes. Lan almost offered his assistance but Princess Pride cuts him off saying that she would assist her. Princess Pride grabs a cloth to dry dishes as Lan and Dex went into another room to get ready. They wash and dry dishes in silence for a few minutes until Princess Pride breaks the silence.

"I'm really happy that you two are friends again"

"Me too. I wouldn't know how to live with myself he was still mad at me. Lan is my childhood best friend and I would hate if we would never make up. Even after everything we have been through"

"Yea, speaking of that. You are two are really close, did you guys, ever date?"

Maylu freezes for a bit before she returns back to washing the pan, "It's complicated to explain"

"I have time to listen"

"I don't think you should be asking me to explain what happened," Maylu said as she lets the water out of the sink and head to the fridge to get some water. Princess Pride puts the cloth down and walks next to Maylu.

"I'm sorry if I cross-"

"No, it's okay. You're just curious like everyone was back then. But I shouldn't be the one you should ask since we barely know each other"

"I don't think Lan would tell me about it"

"Don't you think there's a reason why he doesn't want to tell you anything? If you don't like me just say it"

"It's not that at all Maylu"

"Then what is it? All I wanted was to get my best friend back and now that I do, you have a problem with it. I'll just stop hanging with him if that will make you happy"

"Maylu"

Maylu grabs her bottle of water and walks back into the living room with the guys. Right on cue, she gets a call from Yai telling her to come over to her place immediately.

"Well, that was my job and they want me to come in for a few minutes to pick up some stuff to review over. I'll just see you guys later"

"You sure you don't want me to give you a ride?"

"No, I'm fine really. I'll see you round" Maylu said as she leaves out the door. Lan look as confused as Dex was with this sudden shift in emotion.

"Well, I better head to work as well. I will see you round Lan. It was nice meeting you Princess Pride" Dex said as he leaves. Lan looks at Princess Pride as Princess Pride looks away.

"What did you two talk about?"

"Nothing"

"No, what did you two talk about?" Lan said as he backs Princess Pride up against a wall. "Please don't lie to me"

"It's just, I'm happy that you and Maylu are friends again, but I just feel like there's something between you two and I'm in the way"

"There will always be something between Maylu and I because we have known each other for a long time, but there's something else that happened for her to suddenly leave and head to 'work'"

"I asked did you two ever date okay! Is it so wrong because I never any two best friends with the bond that Maylu and you have"

"Not every bond is the same for everyone. And that topic is a sensitive subject for both of us..."

"I'm so sorry Lan. I didn't know-"

"I know you didn't know and I wish I could tell you about it, but I'm not ready for that conversation"

"I understand"

"I'm going to go for a walk before I head to work. I'll see you later" Lan said as he grabs some of his things and heads out the door. Princess Pride takes to the couch as tears start to fall from her eyes.

At Yai Place, Maylu informs her of what just happened this morning and it makes Yai a little irritated.

"She has no right to ask you about your friendship with Lan. She's the one dating him so she can ask her boyfriend Lan about it"

"That's what I told her, but I don't he's going to tell her. It can become a sensitive subject, especially for Lan"

"You're right, but I still feel bad for everything that happened"

"Me too, but it was bound to fall eventually and deciding to remain friends through it all"

"You were so strong through it all"

"Thanks"

"And you think that Lan isn't going to tell her?"

"They may be together, but that isn't something he can talk about so easily. Even to me"

"Hopefully now that you two are on good terms, maybe you two can have that conversation"

"He has a whole girlfriend now. This conversation will just make things awkward"

"You don't think you guys can't resolve it without bringing up 'that'?"

"Maybe"

"Do you think there is any doubt that you two can't talk?"

"Well, we accidentally kissed last night"

"What?! How did you two 'accidentally' kissed?"

"I don't know, but I do know we are going to have to talk about that"

"Duh, but for now, you tell me about that as I take notes"

"I'm going to take a nap now. Maybe when I get up we can talk about your date with Chaud"

"You're no fun"

Maylu climb Yai's bed to go to sleep, with Yai following not long after

I will be continuing this story after the 3-year hiatus. I hope this chapter fills you until the next time I update which I plan hopefully in the next two weeks. Til next time R&R
