Hello Readers! I don't own anything in this story

Yai was pacing back and forth in anger as Maylu was laying in her bed. Maylu informed her of what happened between her and Dex.

"I can't believe he would do something like that, especially given the circumstances you were already under" Yai yelled as Maylu nodded her head. "There's just only thing that I'm trying to put together though"

"What is that?"

"I'm not saying that Dex isn't the sharpest tool in the drawer, but to somehow hide the fact that Lan was blocked on your phone without even your knowledge took some tech skills that I don't think Dex possessed".

"I was kind of thinking the same thing on my way over here, but I can't think of anyone who could've possibly helped him"

"Maybe it's someone that only he knows"

"Like who? I visited him as his job and from the ones that I got to know or meet, they aren't that technologically advance"

"Have you called Lan?"

"No, and I don't think I am. This is something that I got to deal with on my own"

"Or, is there another reason why?"

"Yai, we've been through this"

"Not really. I'm just curious that two people who had that strong of a connection never once got together. Not even one date"

"...I never said I haven't gone on a date with him"

"Oh, so you had one date with him?"

Maylu stayed silent as Yai jumped on the bed which made Maylu laugh. It always made Maylu laugh when she says something that piques Yai's interest, especially about her relationship with Lan.

"We hung out a couple of times before Lan started calling them dates. I'm surprised you never notice how many times I have his jacket for certain time periods. Did you think I took them to school?"

"I never put two and two together. I had the little situation I was focusing on, remember?"

"And look at it now, are you two together or what? And when I say together, I mean if I ask you or him in public, I will hear a yes instead of dissonance"

"You got to ask him. I will say yes, but we both have two different images to uphold because of our family. The only person I know that asked him in person is Lan and Chaud nudged him in his ribs as a reply"

"He probably replied verbally while he got him. When the next time you are seeing him?"

"He supposed to stop by today, but he hasn't texted me back yet from when he told me he was stopping by Lan's house. The deadline is almost here for Lan to decide if he's going to marry her"

"Yeah, he was telling me about it yesterday. He feels bad for her that she doesn't get that much of a choice, but he talked about his heart can't be there in that type of way"

"Don't you think it's sweet that he can come to you about these things?"

"I don't really think about it that much, to be honest. I'm just happy that he can share anything with me that has to do with his emotions"

The conversation got interrupted by Yai's phone ringing. She grabs it to see that it was Chaud calling

"So you finally decided to respond back?"

"I told you I was heading to see Lan. I'm just letting you know that I was on my way over and was wondering if Lan could tag along?"

"That's no problem if he doesn't mind that Maylu is here"

"He doesn't mind. I'll be there in a few minutes"

"Alright, see you then"

As she hangs up the phone, Maylu shakes her head at her as Yai throws a pillow at her.

"We don't have to sound like a couple on the phone"

"But you two could sound like there's some type of emotion. Why did you ask if Lan was going to mind me being here?"

"Just a precaution. He's probably going to ask you about your conversation with Dex"

"I guess I could tell him, but I don't know how he's going to react you know? Like is he going to be mad or be calm about it?"

"I mean, he's going to react based on your body language. You kind of teared up telling me about it and if he sees you tear up, he's going to get mad"

"Well, I just won't go into detail about it. You think if I just said who did it he won't ask why?"

"I doubt it. Once you say his name, some emotion going to come out" *phone buzzes* "They're here. Good luck"

Yai got up to let Chaud and Lan in as Maylu contemplated on how she is going to break it to Lan. Since they never had the conversation after they got back on good terms. She felt her phone vibrate and pulls it out her bag by the time Yai returned with Chaud and Lan following. Yai already knew why Maylu's phone went off as she swiped it from her.

"Should I ask?" Chaud asks as both Maylu and Yai shakes their heads. Yai and Chaud got into their own conversation as Lan sits next to Maylu.

"How did it go?" Lan asks as Maylu shrugs

"Interesting. Not much to say on it" Maylu answers as Lan looks at her and shakes his head.

"I'm getting the feeling that my reaction might hinder you from telling me anything"

"I don't know how you're going to react"

"How about you just tell me one thing and go from there"

"Okay...well, I found out that you were blocked on my phone"

"You blocked me?"

"No, I didn't block you, but someone did"

"Who?"

Maylu stays silent. Yai motions Chaud away from their conversation as Lan moves closer towards Maylu. She lays her head on his shoulder as he wraps an arm around her shoulder.

"Dex found a way to block you on my phone without me even knowing that you were blocked," Maylu said as she looks up at Lan. His face was mixed with confusion, but anger was slowly coming in the mix. She lays her hand on his thigh, "He...he thought this was the best way for me"

"The best way for you to what?"

"To miss you less" Maylu quietly said. She feels the tears trying to form in her eyes as her sadness in her heart starts to grow. She wants to look at Lan's face for his reaction, but she fears that if he sees her cry, things won't end well. She feels Lan's hand touch her face in order to have her face him, but with a quickness, she hides her face on the right side of his chest. Lan wraps his other arm around Maylu to hold her as he whispers in her ear,

"I won't react the way that I think that I should until I know you're done crying and telling me what happened. Just let it out"

Yai turns to look at Lan comforting Maylu as she did start crying. He rubs her back until she eventually went quiet, for when Lan looks down Maylu somehow dozes off. Chaud smiles as he whispers something in Yai's ears as they both got up and left the room. With one arm still wrapped around Maylu, he slowly leans them back on the bed as they both doze off.

At Maylu's and Dex's house

Dex is pacing back and forth on the phone waiting for a certain someone to pick up the phone. After a few rings, someone answer.

"We got a problem, Maylu found out that Lan was blocked on her phone"

"I don't see how that have to do with me"

"It does if I tell her how I was able to block him without her knowledge. She knows I'm not that technologically advanced"

"We made a deal that if I help you, you wouldn't drag me into this mess if she eventually found out"

"No, the deal was an eye for an eye. I helped make sure a certain someone stay single long enough for when they're forced to get married, someone will have an available suitor to go to"

"Don't try and guilt me. All you have to do is keep silent for a couple more days and then you can tell her the whole story"

"I could be getting a divorce in a couple of days or worse. She already left the house to go stay with Yai and you already know how that connection goes. Maylu tells Yai who tells Chaud who tells Lan and who knows how he is going to react to that. Dating or not he cares a lot for Maylu and will do anything for her"

"He's not going to do anything that will cause Maylu any more grief. Besides, he won't be able to do much without any leads"

"You know, she could find out a different way of how YOU had a part in this. What would Lan think of you then?"

"He will never know that I have a part in this and if he does, I hope it's not from you. I have things to take care of so I'll call you later"

"Whatever you say...Princess Pride"
