Narrator's POV:

"My lady, may I come in?" Caterina knocked on the door.

"Yes, come in." Lizzy called as she put her book down on her nightstand and sat up in bed.

"Good morning my lady. I hope you slept well." Caterina helped Lizzy out of bed as she began undressing her, placing a silk dress over her naked body, draping a silk robe over her as they walked to the dining room as she placed fine China in front of her. First placing the saucer down, it was a lavender color with dark purple flowers; atop it she placed the lovely rounded teacup with a similar design, though the edges were painted gold. Caterina then poured a dark tea into the cup as she served a Danish raspberry tart with thin icing on a dessert plate similar to the saucer.

"Here we have a gypsy rose tea with a raspberry Danish tart with icing. A new French patisserie opened in town." Caterina stated as she stood next to her mistress.

"What's on the agenda today?" Lizzy asked as she added some cream and sugar to her tea. She picked up her spoon and began to stir.

"Well, today your father is meeting with Lord Phantomhive. You are requested to be absent at this time; those are your father's words. However, you mother suggests that you are present, without your father knowing." Caterina looked over at Lizzy with a smirk on her face.

"Hmm, is that so? Well then, we'll just have to use Daddy's little secret to our advantage. Caterina, I want you present in that room, I'll have Daddy think I'm with Mummy shopping, but I'll be behind his book shelf." Lizzy smirked as she took a bite of her tart.

"Delicious." She licked her lips as Caterina placed her hand over her breast and curtsied.

"Yes, my lady."

"My lord, Lord Phantomhive is here." Caterina brought in Ciel as she took her place in the corner of the room, acting as a statue, noticing Sebastian who stood next to her.

"Good afternoon Lord Phantomhive, it's nice to see you." Lord Midford greeted Ciel warmly.

"Yes, it's a rather nice day." Ciel didn't sound too earnest.

"Now, let's not doddle, I'd like to get to business." Lord Midford was straight to the point.

"Indeed." Ciel sat down, crossing one leg over the other as he folded his hand over his knee.

"Well, to be frank, I'd like the wedding to take place immediately. I fear for my health, and I think it would be best for Elizabeth to be running her own household; she needs to learn to be responsible. She needs to act like a young woman." Lord Midford said firmly.

"I see, well that's impossible." Ciel said sternly.

"How so?" Lord Midford wasn't sure as to what Ciel meant.

"Your daughter won't speak to me. She's angry with me." Ciel sighed as he rubbed his temples.

"Well that isn't much of a problem." Lord Midford stood and walked over to Ciel, placing his hand on Ciel's shoulder.

"Talk to her lad, no relationship will ever grow if it's not tested." He nodded towards Ciel as he slowly stood.

"Go to her lad." Lord Midford nodded towards the door. Elizabeth inhaled as he eagerly waited for Ciel to make a move; she was watching through one of the family portraits hanging on the wall nearest Ciel.

"Lord Midford, I understand what it is you're getting at, however I am not a humble man and I want Liz-Elizabeth to understand that I cannot change. My past played a great deal in shaping the person I am today. I care deeply for Elizabeth; however, I cannot live up to the expectations of a prince charming but I will make her happy. I love the way she smiles and brightens an entire room, she, she makes me realize that I'm human and I have emotions. No one holds such power over me as Elizabeth does." Ciel looked into Lord Midford's eyes sternly as he nodded his head

"I wish the two of you much happiness." Lord Midford smiled. Lizzy began to feel tears forming as she quickly walked around just as Ciel had began heading for the door; their eyes met as Lizzy began crying.

"Oh Ciel!" She threw her arms around him as he stumbled backwards, still managing to capture her in his arms.

"Lizzy!" He held her close as he gingerly caressed her tearstained cheeks.

"What are you crying for?" Ciel looked at her rather concerned.

"I overheard the two of you talking. I wanted to say sorry, but I-I didn't understand. I know I can be harsh and expect so much, I just want you to love me, maybe not as much I love you, but even a little-" she continued to ramble on until Ciel silenced her with a kiss. She turned crimson as Ciel smiled at her.

"Of course I cherish you Lizzy, I-I love you . . . dearly." Ciel fumbled as he blushed, Lizzy simply smiled and began giggling.

"Let's get married Ciel." She gazed into his handsome face as he swallowed hard and began nodding his head.

"Father?" Elizabeth looked at Lord Midford as he began nodding his head.

"Congratulations." Caterina smiled as Sebastian also congratulated them.
