(Monday, 4:50PM; Clubroom; Akihito's PoV)

God dammit... why did I agree to do this?! I knew joining the club was a bad idea, and now I have to write poems! Guess I'm required to do this now.

Looking around I can see Natsuki and Yuri with the same reactions as me. Sayori on the other hand is delighted to do this.

Sayori: "Yaaaaay! We can share our poems with each other!"

Yuri: "U-uh, are you sure this is a g-good idea, M-Monika?"

Natsuki: "Yea normally I wouldn't agree with Ms. Mature here, but she's got a point Monika."

Monika: "Aww, I thought we could do something fun together... what do you think Aki?"

Wait since when have I been the decision maker? I thought she was the president of the club?

Aki: "Well uh... I personally am not a fan of the idea but... I suppose I can give it a shot."

Monika: "Thanks Aki! Natsuki, Yuri, what about you guys? You on board with this?"

Yuri: "W-well I suppose I can try as well."

Natsuki: "Fine I guess I'll try it out… but only because everyone else is!"

Monika: "Alrighty then! With that we can finally start the activity! I expect everyone to have a poem written by tomorrow. Then we can share one-on-one with each other, and give feedback! And before you ask, no you may not get a poem from the internet. You must write them on your own."

Dangit, there goes my plans of getting around this activity.

Monika: "Okay, with that I think we can end today's meeting on a good note! Thank you everyone for joining today!"

Getting up from my seat, I start to pack my bag. That's when I remember that I would walk home with Sayori. After packing my bag I approach Sayori and lightly tap her shoulder to get her attention.

Sayori: "Hm? Oh hey Aki, what's up?"

Aki: "Oh nothing, just wanted to know if you wanted to walk home with me after school. I asked you in the morning but you never gave an answer." I replied.

Sayori: "Oh I'm so sorry Aki! I guess I was just in a rush to get to class, ehe. But yeah, I accept your offer!"

Aki: "Great! Shall we get going then?"

Sayori: "Yep! Lemme just pack my bag real quick and then we can get going."

Aki: "That's fine."

I wait for her to finish packing. Once she's done we walk out the door and wave to the others in the club. Natsuki acts like she doesn't give a shit and just looks away, Yuri and Monika smile and wave back.

On our way back we just catch up about how our lives have been. We would talk about how our school is going or reminisce about our old childhood memories. After that we reach the road we both live on. It's nice to know that your childhood friend is also your neighbor, that way you won't have those awkward moments when you run into them. We reach my house and I say goodbye to Sayori.

Sayori: "See you tomorrow Aki! And don't forget to write your poem for the club!"

Aki: "See you tomorrow! Don't worry I won't forget!"

And with that she walks back to her house. I unlock the front door and go straight to my bedroom to change out of my uniform. After that I get started on my homework. I feel like I'm forgetting something though… eh it's okay, I'll remember it later.

After finishing my homework I start on my poem. This is probably the first time I've written a poem outside of school, and even those wouldn't be good. At this point I don't want to be a Robert Frost, I just want a poem that can at least be read without cringing.

A few hours pass and I finish my poem. I think this is good enough to show to the club tomorrow. I'll just act like I've never written a poem, which is partly true. That way the others wouldn't critique me so hard. Well, Natsuki might just diss my poem, but I'm fine with that.

Seeing as it's 10PM, I decide to go to sleep. I'm not that hungry anyways for dinner so it won't be that big of a problem.

BEEP BEEP BEEP

Ugh, not again. Seriously, who would make kids wake up this early for school? People should either let kids wake up later or just not have school at all. I mean most of the things we learn aren't useful at all anyways. I'm sure others would agree. Welp, time to do it all over again.

Getting out of my bed I go to the bathroom to brush my teeth. Picking up the toothpaste-

Wait a minute… why is it empty? SHIT, I FORGOT TO GO TO THE GROCERY STORE! God dammit, I can't do anything right. I'm just a useless piece of shit. Well atleast I know to not waste time looking around the kitchen for food. Squeezing the toothpaste packet as much as I can, I manage to get out enough toothpaste to use for today. After brushing my teeth and taking a shower, I go down to the kitchen. Another banana for breakfast. Yay. I check my bag for my homework before leaving. Math worksheets, history book report, and-

WHERE THE FUCK IS MY POEM?!

I desperately look everywhere in my house downstairs. No sign of a poem. Then I realize that it's on my desk in my room. Running up the stairs, I find my poem. A big wave of relief washes over me. Packing it in my bag, I'm ready to go to school again. As soon as I open the door I-

Sayori: "Hey Aki! Wanna walk to school together!"

Aki: "AH! SAYORI WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU!"

Sayori: "Language Aki!"

Aki: "I think almost getting a heart attack is a good excuse for saying a swear, Sayori."

Sayori: "Alright fine I'll let you off the hook this time. Anyways, wanna walk to school with me?"

Aki: "Sure, lemme just lock my door."

After calming down from Sayori's jumpscare, I lock my door and head to school with Sayori. The walk is awkwardly silent. Then I think of something to say.

Aki: "Hey Sayori, I got an idea."

Sayori: "What is it Aki?"

Aki: "Wanna walk to and from school everyday? It'll be just like the good ol' days of childhood. Plus we would also get the chance to catch up with each other."

Sayori: "Sure! But one small problem…"

Aki: "What is it?"

Sayori: "Well you see… I normally wake up later than you, so if we were to walk together we'd be cutting it close just to get to school."

That is a problem… what to do to solve it? Wait, I got it!

Aki: "I got an idea! How about as soon as I wake up, I'll give you a wake up call! Sounds good?"

Sayori: "Okay! That way I can also get into the habit of waking up early as well!"

Aki: "Alrighty then, it's settled! I shall be your wake up call everyday!"

And with that we reach the school. After waving goodbye to each other we go our separate ways to our class. Another day of school, another day of hell. At least there's the club I can look forward to.
