(Saturday, 10AM; House; Akihito's PoV)

Mmmmm, waking up without an alarm is so satisfying. Sadly I can only do it on the weekends. I check my phone for the time. 10 in the morning, not bad. I don't think I have any plans for today, and I already finished my homework. I can finally get a day to relax.

Getting out of bed, I go to the restroom. I'm already aware we're out of toothpaste and shampoo. For the past few days I've been squeezing the toothpaste bottle to get barely enough toothpaste needed.

Once I'm done with everything, I head downstairs. On Thursday I found a random box of cereal in one of the cabinets. The expiry date isn't for another week, so I've been having that. Pouring myself a bowl of cereal I-

DING DONG

Who could be at the door now?

I'll at least finish pouring my bowl of cereal before opening the door.

DING DONG DING DONG

Jesus Christ this dude is impatient! Can't you see I'm tryna get me some food?

DING DONG DING DONG DING DONG DING DONG DING DONG DING-

Aki: "ALRIGHT ALRIGHT I'M COMING! These people are fucking insane..."

I say that last part to myself. I open the door to see-

Sayori: "Aki, why didn't you answer the door? I was ringing for a long time! Did you forget what we were going to do today?"

Oh shit, forgot me and Sayori we're going to make posters for the festival.

Aki: "Sorry Sayori, I was just getting myself some breakfast. Would you like to join?"

Sayori: "Sure! I myself only woke up 15 minutes ago, ehe."

Aki: "Come on in, we're having cereal for breakfast."

She walks in and goes straight to the dining room. I grab another bowl for Sayori and hand her the cereal and milk. She grabs the milk and pours it-

WHAT THE HELL?! WHO THE FUCK POURS THE MILK FIRST?!

Aki: "Sayori what the hell are you doing?!"

Sayori: "What? I'm just pouring some milk!"

Aki: "But you're supposed to pour the cereal first! It's the universal law!"

Sayori: "Last time I checked, pouring milk first was the universal law."

Aki: "In what universe?! La La Land?!"

Sayori: "No, our universe!"

We continue having our argument for another 10 minutes. It ends in a stalemate and us laughing it off. After we both finish, I take our bowls and put them in the sink.

Aki: "Alright, now that that's over, wanna start working?"

Sayori: "Sure! How are we going to do this?"

Aki: "Come up to my room, that's where my computer is."

Sayori: "Uh... okay..."

We both go up to my room. I sit in my desk chair and Sayori takes a seat on my bed. I press the power button on my PC, and wait for it to boot up.

Sayori: "Sooo... why are we using your PC?"

Aki: "Well, you may not know this about me, but I'm well versed in Photoshop."

Sayori: "Wow, really? When did you start?"

Aki: "I think I started to learn it around two years ago. Ever since then I've just been playing around in the app."

Sayori: "Alrighty then. What's the plan?"

Aki: "Well I was thinking you can let me know how you want the flyers to look, and I can design it as you speak. That way we can make changes on the spot."

Sayori: "Wow, that's really smart Aki! Let's get started!"

She describes the basic layout of the flyer, and after that we start to get into the details. She would point out small changes here and there, but other than that it was coming out great.

After we finished designing the flyers, we started to work on the posters. These would be hung up around the school, so they had to be eye-catching.

Once again we start with the basic layout, and then move onto the details. After that's finished I save the files. I tell Sayori to go to the office room where the printer is, and I tell her to turn it on.

Sayori: "Ok it's on!"

Aki: "Ok! It's gonna start printing!"

A few seconds go by, and I can hear the printer whirring to life. Suddenly it stops, and Sayori calls out to me with some… unpleasant news.

Sayori: "Uh, Aki! The printer isn't working! It's giving some kind of error message!"

Aki: "I'll be there in a sec!"

Error message? That can't be right. I run down the stairs and head to the office room. Inside is a printer just sitting there idly, and Sayori with a worried face. I look at the tiny screen the printer has to read the error message.

ERROR: NO PAPER

Of course. Why of all weeks, this is the week where there's absolutely nothing in my house?

Aki: "Dammit, there's no paper."

Sayori: "What now?"

Aki: "Well, did the printer print any copies at all?"

Sayori: "Nope. I just turned it on, waited for a few minutes and then the error message came."

Aki: "Alright. I have an idea."

Sayori: "What is it?"

Aki: "It's only eleven in the morning, so most stores are gonna be open. I barely have anything in my house, so I guess this is a good excuse to go shopping for once. Wanna tag along?"

Sayori: "Really? Sure!"

Aki: "Cool, lemme just get my stuff and we'll be ready to go."

Sayori: "Okay, I'll go back to my house and get my stuff too."

Aki: "Sure, I'll wait by your front door."

Sayori: "Okay!"

She takes off, exiting through the front door. I grab my phone and wallet. I think I should have enough to get some basic food. Next week is when I get my monthly allowance from Mom, so I'll just get food to help me stay alive until then.

After getting my stuff, I head out the door. Remembering to lock it, I walk out and go to Sayori's house and wait outside. A few seconds later she comes out, and we head towards the store.

Aki: "Alright, I don't want to get much, just some basic food to last through the week. And the printer paper of course."

Sayori: "That's fine. I don't have anything to buy, so I'll just walk around with you."

We arrive at the local supermarket and head inside. I grab a shopping cart and begin my shopping spree. I get some frozen foods, some fruits, and some snacks. After getting all the food-related items, we go to get the printer paper. When we arrive in the paper section, there's a variety of options to pick from.

Aki: "How many flyers do you think we'll need?"

Sayori: "Hmm, maybe a hundred?"

Aki: "Then in that case I'll get this one."

I pick up a hundred-sheet pack of printer paper. It seems good enough to be used for flyers. We also grab some big poster paper. After getting those, we head to the check-out line. Near the cash register, there's a small shelf with various candies and chocolates.

After I make sure Sayori isn't looking, I take a chocolate bar as discreetly as possible. I look back at Sayori to see if she noticed. Perfect, she didn't. After a few minutes, the cashier bags a few items while scanning the others.

Aki: "Hey Sayori, do you mind taking these bags? You can wait outside, I'll be out in a minute."

Sayori: "Okay!"

After she leaves, I place the chocolate bar on the conveyor belt.

Cashier: "She your girlfriend or something?"

Aki: "No no, just a friend. I'm getting the chocolate as a thank you gesture, since she has a sweet tooth."

"Ah, gotcha."

The cashier finishes scanning the rest of the items. After paying for the items, I take the bags and go to a nearby bench. I take the chocolate bar out of the bag and put it in my pocket. After that, I pick up the bags again and walk outside. Hopefully she'll like the chocolate.
