(Saturday, 12PM; Outdoors; Akihito's PoV)

Walking outside I find Sayori. She's looking in the sky, probably making shapes of the clouds. Even though she's in high school, she's still a child at heart.

Aki: "Hey Sayori, I got the rest of the stuff."

Sayori: "Okay, let's go!"

We walk back home, talking about how we think the festival will go and what we plan to do. After around 10 minutes we reach my house. We put the groceries on the kitchen counter, and I put everything where it's supposed to be.

After that I take the printer paper and poster paper from the bag.

"Alright I got the paper, let's get printing!"

We head to the office room, and Sayori takes a seat in the chair that's there. I pop open the paper tray, and load it with the paper we just bought. After that I turn on the printer so that I can just start printing.

Aki: "Okay, first I'm gonna print 100 flyers. After that we can print a little more if we need. I've already turned it on, so you can just let me know if it's printing or not."

Sayori: "Okay! I'll wait here until it's done printing."

I head upstairs to my computer and boot up my computer. Once it turns on, I set up the flyer document to be printed. Hopefully, it works this time. After a few seconds, I hear Sayori call from downstairs.

Sayori: "Yay! It's working Aki!"

Aki: "Coming!"

I rush down the stairs and into the office room. Sure enough, it's printing the flyers.

Aki: "Nice. Once it's done you can check to see if it's enough. There's 50 extra sheets."

Sayori: "Will do, Aki."

We sit there for sometime in silence, I forgot how slow this printer was. At this rate, it would take around 5 minutes to finish the 100 copies. That's when I remembered about the chocolate bar. I pull it out and hide it behind my back.

Aki: "Hey, Sayori."

Sayori: "Hm? What's up, Aki?"

Aki: "Since you helped me with going shopping today, I just wanted to say thank you."

I pull out the chocolate bar from behind my back and hand it to Sayori.

Sayori: "Wow, thanks, Aki!"

She runs up to me and gives me a hug. After that she unwraps the chocolate and starts eating it.

Sayori: "Mmmmm, sho good..."

Aki: "Heh, just try not to get it anywhere."

She simply nods and continues eating the chocolate. Once she's done she heads to the restroom to wash her hands. Before she leaves I take the wrapper from her and throw it away.

Sayori returns, and the printer makes a small sound. Great, that means it's done. I take the copies out of the printer and hand them to Sayori. She inspects the stack of flyers for a few seconds.

Sayori: "I think this should be enough. I'll take this to my house, meanwhile can you print the posters? We only need around 5 of those."

Aki: "Sure, I'll leave the door unlocked, so you can just walk back in."

She leaves my house with the flyers. I go back up and set up the printer to print the posters. After setting it up I go back downstairs and watch the printer print the posters. As soon as the posters are finished, Sayori comes back in.

Sayori: "How are the posters going?"

Aki: "Just finished, take a look"

Sayori: "Woahhh, they look so cool! You're the best, Aki!"

Aki: "Hey don't thank me, you're the one who came up with the design."

Sayori: "I guess you got a fair point."

Awkward silence ensues once again. Why does this always happen?

Sayori: "Sooo, what now? It's only 12:30, and I'm not that hungry for lunch."

Aki: "Hmmm. I got an idea!"

Sayori: "What is it?"

Aki: "Wanna Smash?"

Sayori: "W-what?! Aki, what the heck?!"

Aki: "What do you mean? I asked if you wanted to Smash!"

Sayori: "That's exactly my point! No one just asks that randomly, Aki!"

Aki: "What's wrong with asking if you wanna play Smash Bros.?"

Sayori freezes with a shocked expression. It's only then when I realize what my statement must've sounded like.

Sayori: "U-uh sure, let's play some Smash Bros."

We go down to the living room. Sayori takes a seat on the couch and I set up my Switch. Once the display comes on the TV, I grab my spare controller and hand it to Sayori.

We play the game for maybe an hour or so. In the end it came fairly equal, which I did not expect. Sayori won half the matches and I won the other half.

Aki: "Dang that was good. I did not expect you to win that much Sayori."

Sayori: "Hey, I can be good at video games too!"

Just then Sayori's stomach begins to rumble. I guess we did kinda skip lunch.

Aki: "Seems like you're hungry Sayori."

Sayori: "Ehe, we did skip lunch so it makes sense."

Aki: "Sayori, you're always hungry. Anyways, wanna get lunch outdoors?"

Sayori: "What? But we just spent money on shopping!"

Aki: "That's fine, I think I still have enough money."

We go outdoors and have lunch at a local cafe. We sit and chat for maybe the whole afternoon. It's only 3PM when we leave the cafe. We reach the front of my house, and Sayori speaks up.

"Alright Aki, I think that's enough for today. I have some homework to do so I think we'll end today here."

"Sounds good. Thanks for spending time with me today Sayori."

"Anytime Aki, in fact, we can hang out tomorrow!"

"Sure! I'd love that."

With that, Sayori walks to her house. The rest of the day goes by fairly quickly. I finished my homework and made a frozen pizza for dinner. After making sure I finished everything for the day, I go to bed and sleep.

(Sunday, 10AM; House; Akihito's PoV)

Another day of no school. I wish weekends were more longer. Getting out of bed, I do my daily morning routine. Brushing my teeth, taking a shower, getting some breakfast, that kind of stuff.

What should I do today? Oh right! Sayori said we would hangout today! Lemme just call her to see if she's up. I dial her number and... no answer. Maybe she's still sleeping, I'll call her again. I call her once again and... still no answer.

Ok this is getting ridiculous. Either she's ignoring my calls, or she's a heavy sleeper. I'd prefer the second option. Let's just go to her house, we used to do it when we were kids so I'm sure she won't mind.

Going out of my house, I walk to Sayori's house and knock on her door. No answer. I ring her doorbell a few times, still no answer. I have no other choice but to walk in her house.

Since our families are so close, I know where the secret key is. Taking it from the secret spot, I unlock the door and walk-in. I close the door behind me and lock it.

It's very silent here, but that's expected. Sayori's parents live somewhere else due to work, but they still pay for this house, and give Sayori some money every month.

It's similar to my family. My mom is constantly traveling for work and doesn't stay at home much. She pays for the house I'm in since it's technically hers. She also gives me an allowance every month. As for my dad... let's not talk about him.

Aki: "Sayori?"

No answer, no surprise.

I walk upstairs to her room. I knock on her door, no response. I have no choice but to barge in. I really don't want to enter her room like this. Isn't that kind of a breach of privacy? But she really leaves me no choice. I gently open the door.

Aki: "S-Sayori?"

I open the door to see Sayori still sleeping. As I walk closer to her, I can see tears falling down her face. She's saying something, but I can't make out what she's saying. I gently shake her to wake her up. She suddenly jerks awake.

Sayori: "I'M SORRY I DIDN'T MEAN IT! O-oh it's just you Aki. H-hey."

...what was that?

Aki: "Hey Sayori. You okay? You looked like you were crying."

Sayori: "O-oh, was I? I must've had a nightmare. Y-yeah, that's it."

Aki: "Alright... I just came to ask if you wanted to hang out today."

Sayori: "S-sure! Let me just get ready."

Aki: "Alright, I'll be waiting outside."

I walk out of her room when-

**THUD**

Dammit, I tripped over some kind of box. As I try to pick myself up, I hear Sayori whisper something.

Sayori: "Oh no..."

Oh no? What does that mean?!
