(Sunday, 3:30PM; Outdoors; Akihito's PoV)
Aki: "How about we revisit some childhood memories?"
Sayori: "What do you mean by that?"
Aki: "Let's go to the park!"
Sayori: "You mean the one we used to go to as kids?"
Aki: "That's... yeah. That's why I said we revisit childhood memories."
Sayori: "Oh, my bad, ehe."
We head towards the park. When we reach there, we see so many kids running around and playing, while their parents are off to the side talking with each other.
Aki: "Follow me, I wanna show you something."
Sayori: "Okay!"
I walk over to the swing set, and Sayori follows behind me.
Aki: "Do you remember this place?"
Sayori: "Uh... can I get a hint?"
Aki: "It has to do with the both of us."
Sayori: "Uhh... I don't know..."
Aki: "It's where we first met! You don't remember?"
Sayori: "Oh yeah! Now I remember!"
(Flashback; Playground; Akihito's PoV)
Aki: "Mommy Mommy, look at me! I'm gonna go on swings!"
Aki's Mom: "Ahaha, okay Akihito, I'm watching."
I run to the swing set and hop on a swing. I rock myself back and forth to get myself super high. After a few swings, I'm as high as the top bar.
Aki: "Mommy Mommy, are you looking?"
Aki's Mom: "Yes dear, I'm watching."
Aki: "Mommy look at what I'm going to do!"
I then jump off the swing and land on my feet.
Aki's Mom: "Wow, that's impressive Akihito! But don't do that again, it's very dangerous."
Aki: "Okay... I'm sorry..."
?: "Woah, that looked so cool!"
Huh? Who was that? I turn my head towards the source of the sound. I see a girl around my age on the swing. She jumps off and-
?: "aaaaaAAAAAAAAA! MOMMYYYYYYYYY!"
Oh no! I have to go help her! I run to her and help her up.
Aki: "Where's your Mommy?"
?: "O-over t-there."
She points to a lady who looks similar to this girl.
Aki: "Okay, I'm gonna help you and take you to your Mommy."
We both go to the girl's Mommy. When she sees both of us, she has a worried look on her face.
?'s Mom: "Sayori, what happened?!"
Aki: "She fell off the swing, so I helped her up and came to you."
?'s Mom: "Aw, that's very kind of you. What's your name?"
Aki: "My name is-"
Before I can finish my response, Mommy comes over to where I am.
Aki's Mom: "Akihito! What are you doing over here?"
Aki: "This girl fell off the swings, so I helped her and took her to her Mommy!"
Aki's Mom: "That's sweet of you Akihito."
?'s Mom: "I'll take it, you're the mother of this kind child?"
Aki's Mom: "Yes, this would be my sweet child. I'm Akira, and this is Akihito."
?'s Mom: "My name's Sakura, and this is Sayori. Nice to meet you both."
Akira: "I saw what happened, is Sayori okay? I have some bandaids in my purse if you need."
Sayori: "I'm fine Mommy, see?"
Sakura: "Haha, okay if you say so. Why don't you play with your new friend while I talk with Akihito's mother. Okay?"
Sayori: "Okay!"
Me and Sayori run back to the playground. We sit in a spot under the slide, it's like our secret hiding spot.
Aki: "So, since our Mommys are talking, we should talk too!"
Sayori: "Okay, I'll go first! My name is Sayori, and I'm 5 years old!"
Aki: "Woah, that's so cool! I'm Akihito and I'm 5 too!"
Sayori: "Are you going to start kindergarten this year?"
Aki: "Yeah!"
Sayori: "That means we can be in the same class! Yay!"
Me and Sayori talk for a little bit more, when I hear the ice cream truck.
Aki: "Hey, wanna ask our Mommys if we can get ice cream?"
Sayori: "Okay!"
We run to our Mommys to ask for money for ice cream.
A & S: "Mommy can we get money for ice cream?"
Akira: "Sure, let me get some from my purse."
Sakura: "I'll get some as well for you Sayori."
Sayori: "Yay! Thank you Mommy!"
Sakura: "No problem dear."
Both our Mommys give us money for ice cream. We both run to the ice cream truck, and there's a small crowd of people. We stand in line and wait for our turn. It takes a few minutes, but soon enough it's our turn.
Ice Cream Vendor: "Hey there kids! What can I get for you?"
Sayori: "Can I get vanilla ice cream please?"
Ice Cream Vendor: "Sure thing, what about you sir?"
Aki: "Ummm, can I get chocolate?"
Ice Cream Vendor: "One vanilla and one chocolate, coming right up!"
The ice cream guy scoops our ice creams, and hands them to us. We hand him the money and go back to our Mommys.
Aki: "Mommy look! I'm a big boy now! I can buy my own stuff!"
Akira: "Is that so? I might just make you do the groceries from now on!"
Sakura: "Ahaha, you're so funny Akira. What did you kids get?"
Sayori: "I got vanilla ice cream!"
Aki: " And I got chocolate ice cream!"
Akira: "Akihito, you always get chocolate. Don't you want to try something new?"
Aki: "Nope! Chocolate is my favorite, and I will always eat this!"
Sakura: "Sayori is just the same. She always goes for vanilla whenever she gets the chance."
Akira: "Well they're kids, let them enjoy their childhood. Once they become adults like us, they'll be begging to go back."
Sakura: "You can say that again. Being a child was so easy."
Aki: "But being an adult is so cool! You can do whatever you want!"
Akira: "That's what you think, but it's not that easy, Akihito."
Sakura: "There's things like taxes and bills that you need to take care of."
Sayori: " What are those?"
Sakura: "You'll understand when you're older, now come on. We need to go home, it's getting dark."
Akira: "Oh that is true. Sakura, would you like to tell the kids or shall I?"
Sakura: "You can tell them Akira. I think they'll be excited."
Aki: "What is it?"
Sayori: "Yeah, what is it?"
Akira: "Well, me and Sakura were talking, and I found out that you guys moved here recently. Isn't that right Sayori?"
Sayori: "Yeah! We came here last week!"
Akira: "Well, I found out that we're actually neighbors! Isn't that so cool?"
Aki: "Wait really?! Yay! Sayori, we can play with each other anytime now!"
Sayori: "Yay! This is gonna be so much fun!"
We all walk back to our houses. Our Mommys are talking with each other, while me and Sayori are walking next to them. We reach our houses and say goodbye for the day.
Aki: "Hey, Mommy?"
Akira: "What is it, dear?"
Aki: "Can we go to the park with Sayori tomorrow too?"
Akira: "I don't see why not."
Aki: "Yay! You're the best, Mommy!"
Akira: "Ahaha, that's just who I am. Go watch TV for some time. I'll prepare dinner."
Aki: "Okay!"
(End of Flashback; Sunday, 4PM; Playground; Akihito's PoV)
Man those were the good old days. We were kids, we didn't have to worry about growing up, I wish I could go back.
Sayori: "Aki? You there?"
Aki: "Huh? Oh, yeah, I'm here."
Sayori: "You were spacing out, did something happen?"
Aki: "No no, nothing happened. I was just remembering some old memories."
Sayori: "Oh, okay. What were those memories?"
Aki: "Just the time when we first met. You know, with you falling off the swing and all that."
Sayori: "Hey! I only jumped off because you looked so cool doing it!"
Aki: "That's not my problem! You should've known to land on your feet, not on your face!"
We both burst into laughter thinking of our stupidity as children. After that, we both take a walk around the park, pointing out how some stuff changed or reliving old memories. We do this for around an hour until it starts to get dark.
Sayori: "Okay, it's getting kinda dark, Aki. We should head home soon."
Aki: "Dang, you're right. Wanna come over for dinner?"
Sayori: "Really? I wouldn't want to get in between your day-"
Aki: "Come on Sayori, I already spent the whole day with you, what's the matter with the rest of the day?"
Sayori: "Okay, I guess you're right. But I'm helping you cook!"
Aki: "As long as you don't burn the house down, you can help."
Sayori: "Hey! That was one time!"
Aki: "You managed to almost burn the house down boiling water! Water of all things!"
Sayori: "Okay okay, you've made your point. Let's get going before the sun sets."
We both head to my house to prepare dinner. I suggest we cut up some vegetables and make a frozen pizza. Sayori doesn't need to know I had one literally yesterday. Sayori agrees, and I get the stuff needed. I grab each of us a knife and cutting board, and I also get some vegetables.
