(Friday, 4:30PM; Aki's House; Monika's PoV)

The taxi reaches Aki's house. I get out of the taxi and pay for my trip. I then head up to the front door and knock. After a few seconds, someone opens the door.

Akira: "Monika? What are you doing here?"

Monika: "Hi Akira, is Aki home? I need to talk with him."

Akira: "Yeah, he's upstairs in his room. You can head up there."

Monika: "Thank you."

I head up to Aki's room and knock on the door.

Aki: "Come in!"

I open the door and head inside. Aki doesn't even look up, he's doing something on his phone.

Aki: "Hey Mom, you need me to help you pack?"

Monika: "Um, it's me."

Aki: "Wha- Oh, it's you. What do you want?"

Monika: "I just wanted to talk with you."

Aki: "There's a thing called a cellphone, you should try it out."

Monika: "Aki, this is serious. Please."

Aki: "Sorry, I don't feel like talking."

Monika: "Aki please-"

Aki: "Fine. Two minutes. Talk."

Monika: "W-what?"

Aki: "You got two minutes to tell me whatever the hell you want to say."

Monika: "O-okay… well I just wanna say that I'm sorry for what I said earlier. I wasn't thinking and then I said… that."

Aki: "Next?"

Monika: "T-that's all…"

Aki: "So, you came here to apologize for what you said earlier. About him."

Monika: "Yeah…?"

Aki: "Alright. I'll forgive you. But you will never talk about him around me."

Monika: "I promise to never do it ever again."

Aki: "Thank you. And… I'm sorry too."

Monika: "Huh? For what?"

Aki: "For getting mad earlier. You guys probably have never seen me mad, and it was probably scary for you guys."

Monika: "Yeah, it was super scary. I didn't know what to expect."

Aki: "Sorry for scaring you and the others like that. Speaking of which, where are they?"

Monika: "We all took a taxi to go to our homes. I said that I wanted to come here, so the driver took me here. Since Sayori lives next door, she got off with me and headed home. Yuri stayed in the taxi to go to her house."

I'll leave out the part where I gave money to Yuri, or else Aki will yell at me.

Aki: "That's cool. Well, I'd love to chat but Mom's leaving tonight, and I wanna spend time with her. No offense."

Monika: "And you plan on doing that by staying in your room?"

Aki: "Well-"

Monika: "You can't get out of this one Aki."

Aki: "Actually, I can. You see, Mom hasn't started packing yet, and I plan on spending time with her by packing. So, hah."

Monika: "It is… acceptable. But you better go down there right now and spend some time with her."

Aki: "Alright alright, I will."

Monika: "Good, I'll take my leave now."

Aki: "I'll walk you out."

(Friday, 5:00PM; House; Akihito's PoV)

I walk Monika down the stairs and into the living room.

Akira: "Everything alright?"

Aki: "Yep. Let's just say we had a small disagreement. But it's all good now."

Monika: "Yeah, that's a good way to sum it up."

Akira: "Well, your relationship is just starting, so expect much more of those on the way!"

Monika: "Ahaha, we'll try to avoid those."

Akira: "Well, that's always a good thing."

Monika: "Well, I'll see you later Aki."

Akira: "You don't want to stay for sometime?"

Monika: "No it's okay, Besides, I told Aki to spend some time with you before you pack."

Akira: "Aww, that's so sweet of you! Gosh, I'm really gonna miss you. I hope I'll be able to see you again soon!"

Monika: "I hope to see you again too! You're a very kind person, and I'm very grateful to have met you."

Akira: "Jeez, you're gonna make me cry! Come here."

Monika and Mom embrace each other in a hug for a few seconds.

Akira: "You're like the daughter I've always wanted."

Monika: "Don't worry, I'll soon join the family. As your daughter-in-law."

Aki: "I'd love that."

Monika: "Well duh, I'd be your wife!"

Aki: "I'd love that."

Akira: "You stuck in a loop or something?"

Aki: "Nope, that's just all I can say."

Monika: "Well, you keep daydreaming, I'm gonna head out."

Aki: "Bye Monika, I'll see you tomorrow."

Monika then heads out the door. I proceed to head back up to my room before Mom calls me.

Akira: "Oi! Didn't your girlfriend tell you something?"

Aki: "She said that she'd be my wife?"

Akira: "Nope, try again."

Aki: "I'm kidding, I'm kidding, I'll spend some time with you."

I spend the rest of the day with Mom. We would either play a game together, or watch something on the TV. After that, I help her pack. Soon enough, it's time for her to leave.

Akira: "Oh, I'm gonna miss you so much."

Aki: "Mom, you say this every time you leave. I'll be fine, I promise."

Akira: "I know, I know. But it's always tough when I have to leave my baby alone."

Aki: "I promise you I will take care of myself. And now I have Monika to look over me as well."

Akira: "I guess that is true. You better behave while I'm gone!"

Aki: "I will, I promise."

Akira: "Call me if anything comes up, and I'll get the next flight home!"

Aki: "Mom, I don't think I can handle all these promises. I will do everything I can to live a good life, and I'll try and contact you more. Okay?"

Akira: "Oh, my baby has grown so much!"

Aki: "Yeah, I'm 18 now. I'm considered an adult now."

Akira: "I don't care what the world calls you, you're still my baby and that's never going to change."

Aki: "I'm aware, you're never gonna give it up."

Akira: "Yep!"

Just then, the taxi driver at the front of the house honks the car horn.

Akira: "Okay I better get going. Call me often and I'll try to visit soon!"

Aki: "Will do. Bye Mom!"

We hug each other for a good minute, before Mom heads in the taxi. Through the window, I can see Mom crying a little. It pains me to see Mom this sad, I start tearing up a little too.

Mom's taxi starts off, and heads into the direction of the airport. Soon enough, the taxi is out of view. I head inside, and look at the time.

8:00PM, not that late. Monika should still be awake. I'll call her to see if she wants to spend some time together. I have to make sure I don't sound like I've been crying.

Monika: "Hello?"

Aki: "Hey, it's me."

Monika: "Hey Aki! What's up?"

Aki: "I was just wondering if… you wanted to spend some time together."

Monika: "Are you okay? You sound like you've been crying."

Dammit, she found out.

Aki: "Truth be told, I have. Mom just left and… it's kinda tough. That's why I wanted to spend some time with you. To take my mind off of it."

Monika: "Alright, I'll come over soon."

Aki: "Actually, do you mind if I come to your place today? My place is a little messy from all the packing."

Monika: "Sure, I'll text you my address."

Aki: "Thanks. I'll be over there soon."

Monika: "See ya then."

I end the call, and get ready to go to Monika's house. My phone vibrates for a short period, indicating that I got a text message. It's most likely Monika. I head out of my house, and head straight towards Monika's house.

The walk there is fairly relaxing. Monika's place is in a rich part of the city where I don't go to at all. I manage to find Monika's home, and knock on the front door. Shortly after, the door opens.

Monika: "Hey Aki! Come on in!"

Aki: "Hey Monika, thanks."

I head inside her house, and she directs me to the living room. The place itself looks rich, with a complex architecture and fancy looking décor.

Monika: "So, I take it that Akira left and you came here to take your mind off of it?"

Aki: "Pretty much."

Monika: "You also look like you were crying."

Aki: "Honestly I wouldn't be crying, but after seeing Mom cry, I couldn't help myself. I probably would've asked to come over either way."

Monika: "Well, I'm glad that I can help you with all this. I didn't have time to make a proper dinner on such short notice, so I have a frozen pizza in the oven. I hope that's okay."

Aki: "Are you kidding? That's like, my favorite thing!"

Monika: "Well, I guess things worked out perfectly! Shall we watch some TV to pass the time?"

Aki: "Sure, that'd be nice."

I sit on the couch next to Monika, and she rests her head on my shoulder. We then watch TV for sometime.

DING

Monika: "Oh! That must be the pizza! I'll go get it."

Aki: "Want me to come and help?"

Monika: "Okay!"

We both head to the kitchen to retrieve the pizza. Monika wore the oven mitts while I held open the oven door. Monika pulls out the pizza and places it on the counter.

Monika: "Ah dang it, it overcooked a little on that side."

She then points to a certain place of the pizza.

Aki: "It's okay, I can eat those slices."

Monika: "Are you sure? I wouldn't do that if I were you."

Aki: "Well if you were me, then you'd know that I like my pizza like that."

Monika: "Well, if you say so. I'll cut up the pizza."

Monika then opens a drawer and takes a pizza cutter. She then cuts the pizza into eight slices. I take two of the slightly overcooked slices, and Monika takes two normal slices.

We then head back to the couch and continue watching TV. After dinner, we play some Smash Bros. on Monika's switch. Soon enough, it reaches 10PM.

Aki: "Alright, it's getting late. I need to head home soon. Thanks for spending time with me, Monika."

Monika: "Are you sure you should go home this late?"

Aki: "I'll be fine."

Monika: "How about you stay here for the night? I don't want you out there this late."

Aki: "Okay first of all, you're not my mom. Second, I don't think I can stay for the night. I don't have any of my essentials with me."

Monika: "What do you mean by essentials?"

Aki: "Toothbrush, toothpaste, stuff like that."

Monika: "Hmmm… what to do…"

Aki: "You don't want me to go home alone, and I can't stay here, what else can we do?"

Monika: "What if I stayed at your place for the night? That way you wouldn't be walking alone, and you'd have your essentials!"

Aki: "That's… not a bad idea actually. Are you sure you're okay with that?"

Monika: "Of course! It'll be a sneak peek into our married life, with us living together."

Aki: "Alright, that sounds nice. You get your essentials and then we'll head out. Sounds good?"

Monika: "Okay!"

Monika then heads deeper in her home to get her stuff, while I stay in the living room.

…it's taking Monika a long time to get ready. What's up with that?

Aki: "Monika? Everything alright?"

Monika: "Just a minute! I'm almost done!"

Precisely a minute later, Monika comes back with a big bag filled up.

Aki: "What the hell is that?! I thought you were just packing your essentials!"

Monika: "These are my essentials!"

Aki: "Okay then, tell me what all is there."

Monika: "Well there's my toothbrush and paste…"

Aki: "Okay, and?"

Monika: "Cell phone charger, lotion…"

Aki: "What else?"

Monika: "...make-up kits…"

Aki: "Do you, really need those?"

Monika: "Of course I do! I need to look good when I wake up!"

Aki: "Monika, you're only staying for one night. You don't need all that stuff."

Monika: "Okay, what would you pack?"

Aki: "Toothbrush, toothpaste, comb."

Monika: "And?"

Aki: "That's it. Maybe some deodorant if I'm staying longer. I don't need to bring a mini CVS with me."

Monika: "Fine… I'll put them back."

Aki: "No no, that'll take too long. Just come on, we'll head out."

Monika: "Okay, lemme at least get my keys."

Aki: "Sure."

Monika gets her keys, and we head out to my house. Once we reach there, I tell Monika to put her stuff on the counter.

Aki: "Alright, you can take my room for the night."

Monika: "What about you?"

Aki: "I'll sleep on the couch."

Monika: "Do you not have a guest bedroom?"

Aki: "Nope."

Monika pauses for a minute, probably to think of a solution. I mean, I already have a solution, but she doesn't seem to accept it.

Monika: "How about you sleep with me?"

Aki: "H-huh?"
