(Wednesday, 12:00PM; Police Station; Akihito's PoV)

I finish my interrogation with the officer. We both get up, and the officer leads me to the others.

Officer: "Okay you three, thank you for coming in today. We will look into the situation, and we'll contact you soon."

Monika: "Thank you, sir."

Officer: "You are free to leave."

The three of us leave the police station.

Aki: "Well, that was certainly something."

Monika: "Yeah, you can say that again."

Aki: "You guys want lunch? I'll pay."

Monika: "Sure!"

Natsuki: "Hell yeah, I'm starving."

Aki: "Alright then, let's go."

We all head to the mall, and straight to the food court.

Aki: "Pizza and garlic knots?"

Natsuki: "Hell yeah!"

Aki: "Well, looks like someone's already educated on how good garlic knots are."

Natsuki: "Why, is someone not?"

I turn to Monika with a smirk. She simply stares at me with a jokingly mad expression.

Monika: "That was one time, okay?!"

Natsuki: "What the fu- Monika, are you serious?!"

Monika: "Look, I came here with Aki one time, and I admitted to not ever having garlic knots."

Natsuki: "How have you never had them before?!"

Monika: "I never knew they existed!"

Natsuki: "Well, thank god your boyfriend here introduced you to them. Do you like them now at least?"

Monika: "Yes, I believe that they are great."

Natsuki: "Good. Now, let's get some."

Aki: "Alright, you guys find a table and I'll get the food. And Monika?"

Monika: "Yes?"

Aki: "Please sit somewhere where I can see you."

Monika: "Ahaha, okay."

Natsuki: "What do you mean by that?"

Monika: "I'll explain later, come on. Let's find a table."

Monika and Natsuki leave to find a table, and I head to the pizza store at the food court. After standing in line for a few minutes, I order two cheese pizzas and two sets of garlic knots. After fifteen minutes, I pick up the order and look around the dining area. After a few seconds, I spot Monika and Natsuki waving at me. I head towards them, and place the food on the table.

Natsuki: "Took you long enough."

Aki: "Hey, at least I found you guys quickly."

Natsuki: "What took so long?"

Aki: "Well, it's a pretty large order, so obviously it would take time to prepare."

Natsuki: "I guess that makes sense."

Aki: "Alright, let's dig in!"

We all begin to eat, and have some light hearted small talk amongst ourselves. Suddenly, Natsuki's expression falls.

Natsuki: "Hey guys?"

Aki: "What's up?"

Natsuki: "Well, after my dad leaves, where will I go?"

Monika: "That is a good question… I mean, you are staying at my house right now, but I don't know if I'd be able to permanently keep you there. No offense, Natsuki."

Natsuki: "None taken, I completely understand. I doubt Yuri would accept, especially since how often we argue."

Aki: "What if I asked Sayori?"

Natsuki: "Sayori?"

Aki: "I mean, think about it. She's the only other person left that's in our club, since I doubt you'd live with me."

Natsuki: "That's for sure."

Aki: "Plus, I know she lives alone, and you two would make great housemates. I mean, you two seem to get along well."

Natsuki: "That is true…"

Aki: "Plus, I live right next to her, so I'd also be there to check up on you two."

Natsuki: "Yeah, I could see us living together."

Aki: "Great, I'll call her later today and ask her about it."

Natsuki: "Alright. And, sorry for bringing the mood down."

Aki: "It's fine. I mean, it was a good question, so I don't blame you."

Natsuki: "Thanks…"

Aki: "Alright, let's finish this before it gets too late."

We finish eating our lunch, and I let Monika and Natsuki take the leftovers.

Natsuki: "So, what's the plan now?"

Aki: "Not sure, I didn't have anything planned after lunch."

Monika: "Me neither. I guess we can split up for the day?"

Aki: "Sure. See you guys tomorrow!"

Monika: "Bye Aki!"

Natsuki: "Yeah, bye."

I head back home for the day.

Akira: "Welcome back, Aki! How was your date?"

Aki: "Pretty good."

Akira: "What did you guys do?"

Aki: "We went to the park, and then the mall for lunch."

Akira: "Ooh, sounds fun!"

Aki: "Yep, it was. Anyways, I'm gonna head up to my room now."

Akira: "Alright."

I head up to my room and pull out my phone to call Sayori. I pull up her contact and call her. After a few seconds, she picks up.

Sayori: "Hello?"

Aki: "Hey, it's me."

Sayori: "Hey Aki, what's up?"

Aki: "I have a kinda serious question for you, and I don't expect you to answer it right now."

Sayori: "Okay…?"

Aki: "So basically, me, Monika, and Natsuki went to the police station today. We submitted evidence and gave some statements to them. And when we finished, Natsuki asked about where she's gonna stay."

Sayori: "What did you say for that?"

Aki: "I don't want her staying at her old house once her father is gone. Right now she's at Monika's house, but Monika says that she can't keep Natsuki there for long. I doubt Yuri is okay with it, especially with how Natsuki and Yuri act around each other."

Sayori: "Yeah… them living together wouldn't be so good…"

Aki: "So… I thought you were the best option."

Sayori: "M-me? Why me?"

Aki: "Well for one, you two get along really well. Two, you live alone. Three, I live right next to you, so I can check in on you both quickly."

Sayori: "Uhh… I'm not so sure Aki…"

Aki: "That's completely fine, I don't expect you to make a decision right now. All I'm asking is if you can maybe think about today and get back to me tomorrow?"

Sayori: "S-sure… I can do that…"

Aki: "Alright, thank you so much, Sayori. Talk to you later."

Sayori: "B-bye, Aki."

I cut the call and lay on my bed. I don't have anything else to do today, I only planned to go to the police station, and nothing else.

Akira: "Aki? Can you come down and help me with something?"

Welp, as if the timing couldn't get better. I now have something to do.

Aki: "Coming!"

(Thursday, 10:00AM; House; Akihito's PoV)

Jeez, I knew I shouldn't have played video games that late last night. I check my phone for the time. Hm, ten in the morning. That's pretty good. I head out of my bedroom and do my daily morning routine. I then head downstairs for some of Mom's breakfast.

Aki: "Morning, Mom."

Akira: "Good morning, Aki! Did you sleep well?"

Aki: "Yeah, I did."

Akira: "Did you stay up late playing video games?"

Aki: "...maybe?"

Akira: "Ahaha, don't worry, I'm not mad. It's a break after all. But don't do that during school days, okay?"

Aki: "Alright. What's for breakfast?"

Akira: "Noodles, grab a bowl."

Aki: "Ooh, alright."

I sit at the dining table, and Mom soon joins me.

Akira: "So, got any plans today?"

Aki: "Eh, not really. I don't have anything for today, unless something comes up."

Just then, my phone starts to ring.

Aki: "Heh, talk about perfect timing. Give me just a minute, I'll be back."

Akira: "Who is it?"

Aki: "Sayori."

Akira: "Alright."

I head up to my room and take the call.

Aki: "Hey, what's up?"

Sayori: "Hey, Aki. So I've been thinking about what you said yesterday, and I think I've come to a decision."

Aki: "Alright, let's hear it."

Sayori: "I talked with my mom about it, and at first she was kinda hesitant. Obviously I couldn't tell her about Natsuki's actual situation, so I just said that her father is traveling for work, and she permanently needs a new place to stay."

Aki: "That's good. What did your mom say?"

Sayori: "Well, we both came to the decision that… she can stay here."

Aki: "Really? That's awesome, Sayori!"

Sayori: "I know right?! We're gonna be housemates!"

Aki: "Thank you so much, Sayori!"

Sayori: "Ehehe, don't worry about it. Anyways, that's all I wanted to call you for."

Aki: "Alright, thank you so much, Sayori. Bye."

Sayori: "Bye, Aki."

I cut the call, and put my phone in my pocket. As soon as I walk out of my room, my phone receives a text message from Monika. I open the message and… what the fuck?

(Thursday, 9:00AM; House; Monika's PoV)

Mmm, that was a good sleep. I pick up my phone to check the time. Nine in the morning, right on the dot, that's good. I head out of my bedroom to do my daily routine. On the way to the bathroom, I can smell Natsuki's cooking. Ever since she came here, she's been cooking breakfast for the both of us, claiming that it's the only way she can say thanks. After a few days of arguing, I've learnt to just forget about it and let it happen. Once I finish brushing my teeth and taking a shower, I head downstairs to see what Natsuki has been cooking.

Natsuki: "Morning, Monika."

Monika: "Good morning, Natsuki. Whatcha cooking today?"

Natsuki: "Just some eggs and bacon. Don't worry, I have some bread in the toaster for you, since I know you can't eat bacon. You still eat eggs, right?"

Monika: "Oh, thank you Natsuki. And yes, I still eat eggs."

Natsuki: "Great! As soon as the toaster is finished, I'll serve you your breakfast."

Monika: "Thank you so much!"

Just then, I hear the doorbell ring.

Natsuki: "Did you call Aki here again?"

Monika: "No, I didn't. I haven't called anyone here."

Natsuki: "Maybe it's a package?"

Monika: "But I haven't ordered anything… I'll go check the door, you stay here."

Natsuki: "Alright."

I get out of my seat and head to the door. I open the door and-

Natsuki's Father: "Hello, Monika."

Oh no.

Monika: "H-hello mister… uh…"

Natsuki's Father: "Oh, no need for formalities. Call me Nagito."

Monika: "O-okay…w-what brings you here?"

Nagito: "I was just wondering if you've seen Natsuki recently. You'd know about her, after all you are the club president."

Monika: "N-no I haven't seen her. Why is something wrong?"

Nagito: "Well, she hasn't been at home for a few days, so I've been looking for her. I thought you'd know where she would be."

Monika: "O-oh dear, that's terrible… well uh… I haven't seen her around. S-sorry."

Nagito: "Ah, no worries. Are you cooking breakfast right now?"

Monika: "A-ah yes… just some eggs and toast."

Nagito: "I see."

DING

Monika: "Oh! Sorry to cut this short, but it seems the toast is ready."

Nagito: "No worries."

Natsuki: "Monika! Your toast is ready!"

NATSUKI WHY?!

Nagito: "Was that another person I just heard?"

Monika: "U-um… I'm not sure…"

Nagito: "I could've sworn that it sounded like Natsuki…"

Monika: "N-no! T-that's just another friend!"

Nagito: "Really? Okay then. I guess I'll leave you two be."

As if this situation couldn't get any worse, Natsuki comes to where I am.

Natsuki: "Monika? I've been telling you that your toast-"

Yeah. I am toast, and you are too.

Natsuki: "D-dad?"

Nagito: "Ah, is this the friend you were talking about, Monika? She seems a lot like Natsuki, doesn't she?"

Monika: "..."

Nagito: "Natsuki! I've been looking all around for you! I almost had to file a police complaint!"

Oh no, he knows about it. Judging by the look of Natsuki's face, she realizes it as well.

Nagito: "Well, now that I've found you, it's time to come back home."

Natsuki: "I-I don't want to…"

Nagito: "I'm sorry, did I hear you talking back to me?"

Natsuki: "N-no…"

Nagito: "That's what I thought. Now come, we're heading home."

Natsuki reluctantly follows her father.

Nagito: "Oh, and Monika? Don't think that I'm letting you off the hook. I will come back."

With that, Natsuki and her father go back to their home. Worried out of my mind, I pull out my phone and text Aki.

Monika: we need to talk like right fucking now
