on the wedding day Angel's stepmother and evil queen Katie Killjoy decided to keep her crown she disguise herself as an old woman to trick Charlie to look into a "wishing" well.
while looking into the well Charlie wishes for her Happily ever after to become true but she pushed by Katie into the well.
Charlie ends up being send to the modern day city of New York when she meets Alastor a divorce lawyer (who is getting married to Vaggie) and his daughter Nifty who both decided to help her by giving her somewhere to stay.
while waiting for her "true" love Charlie will have to learn that true love and happily ever after works very different in the real world.
