The Space Princess and the Green Lantern
Chapter 2
Dimitri leads Mandie, Bellatrix, and Charon into his home which is an old Soviet naval base. Once inside, Dimitri goes to a power supply box before flipping the switch. The lights to most of the base are turned on, showing the alien girls the interior of the Russian's home.
It is a medium-sized area with a command room. It has furniture, a table, and a stove. Some of the windows shine as the sun finally sets. Most of the parts were decorated with American and Russian objects. At the end was a door that leads to Dimitri's bedroom.
"This is where I live," Dimitri said.
"Hmm. Not bad." Mandie said looking around.
"Over here is my bedroom." He said showing the girls his room.
It is also decorated with American furniture with a nice large bed, a drawer, a desk, and a light on the ceiling.
"Welcome to my home." He said to them.
"Thank you, Dimitri." Mandie said as she and her friends settled in.
"You are most welcome, my friend. Are you hungry?"
"We are since we bust Mandie out of prison." Charon said.
Dimitri goes to the stove to start cooking up food. He grabs a pan before firing up the stove. He grabs a fish he caught before starting cooking it. While Dimitri cooks, Mandie, Charon, and Bellatrix unpack their emergency supplies. Each of them comes with clothing, weapons, ammunition, hygiene, and medical supplies. They also have inflatable beds to sleep for the night.
After a while, the food is ready to serve along with water for a beverage. Dimitri sets up the table and all four sat down to feast.
"So, what's your story, Mandie?" Dimitri asks.
Mandie sighs before speaking, "My life was royal before my parents wanted to make an alliance with the Yugopatamians by marrying Mark Chang. Once married, we would join forces to destroy Earth. During the ceremony, that prick fled, forcing me to find him here. I forced him to marry me but he refused so I had to take extreme measures. He had that human boy protecting him."
"Mandie also told us that she got beaten up by that red hair girl. She wasn't even ready." Charon said.
"I was then arrested and charged for treason. I was imprisoned. That is when I sent out a signal for my friends, Charon and Bellatrix." Mandie said.
"So what now?" Dimitri asked.
Mandie thought about it before sighing, planting her face on her hands.
"I don't know, Dimitri. I am a princess. I was destined to rule like my mother and father, but they would be disappointed in me for my actions. I can't let them down." She said.
"Yeah." Dimitri said.
"By the way, Dimitri? That green boat. Did you create that?" Charon asked the Russian.
"Da. It came from this ring." Dimitri replied, showing the alien girls the power ring which amazes them.
"What are you?" Bellatrix asks.
Dimitri stands up and goes to an open spot to show them. He clenches his fist before to the girls' surprise, a green light shines and Dimitri's clothes transform into his suit. He wears a green and black suit that looks similar to a WW2 Red Army Uniform without a garrison cap. The symbol of the Lantern is on the left side near his heart like a medal. Also, he wears both white gloves and white boots.
Mandie, Charon, and Bellatrix were amazed at the sight.
"I am a Green Lantern." Dimitri said.
Mandie takes out what appears to be visors before scanning the young man. His power level has skyrocketed.
"He's strong, but he needs to be tested. Maybe we can test him tomorrow." Mandie thought.
Later the four eat their dinner while having a conversation before they clean themselves up. The alien girls inflate their beds before climbing on them.
"Dimitri, you said you are a Green Lantern, yes?" Mandie asks Dimitri.
"Da." He replied.
"What does that mean?" Charon asks.
"It means yes in Russian."
"Why do you ask, Mandie?" Dimitri asks the alien princess.
"I was wondering if you can show us your power tomorrow?" She asks.
"I can do that. You have my word." Dimitri said.
Mandie smiles, knowing she is preparing to test the human's new power.
"If you succeed, I want you to come with me to my home. I want you to be my husband" Mandie said.
"You're asking me to marry you?" Dimitri asks Mandie, "But I just met you. We need to start out slow first."
"Hmm. Maybe you're right. We should start slow, but first after your test, can you help me fix my ship?"
"It would be my pleasure, my lady. Also, I want to speak to your parents about the earth thing. Good night, ladies."
With that said, Dimitri smiles before going to his bedroom to fall asleep. Just before Mandie goes to sleep, she looks at the ceiling with a smile on her face.
"Mother, father. I have finally found my husband." She said before she falls asleep.
Meanwhile, not far from Earth, a small warship travels before halting. Soon the hatches on both sides open up and a large wave of robots deploy before they flew towards their destination; Earth.
"No man escapes the Manhunters." They said in unison.
Soon the planet will be under attack by this wave of invaders.
