Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Twin Terrors. Enjoy the 1500-word chapter. I don't own Metroid; Nintendo and a few others do.

Spectre didn't allow simply charge forward into the battle. The pirates were given orders, as was he. The difference? Spectre chose to approach the topic in a more pragmatic manner.

He chose to observe Samus from a distance. The bounty hunter was strong, he could not hope to match her directly. Nor would he, Spectre would not last more than a few minutes against a warrior of her caliber.

"Coward..." Spectre heard as he hummed and tracked the signal of Samus's armor.

"Being smart doesn't qualify as cowardice when it comes to pass." Spectre stated as he turned to look around.

He closed his eyes, drawing in a rather long breath. This fight was going to be interesting, but he was told to allow the others to engage Samus first. It, made sense to him to be told to hang back, the others had experience with fighting Samus. He did not. He simply had the ability to resist and fight back. A manner he did not wish to repeat when it came down to it.

"Where is the hunter, why do we not simply swarm her?" Spectre heard as his armor started to pick up the signals of the pirates. "She is one, she would not last longer than a few minutes. She would die rather easily." Spectre heard as he shook his head and considered the tactic.

"They would not last longer than a few minutes." Spectre stated as he shook his head once more.

Spectre calculated that the pirates would get more than a few shots before Samus deployed a power bomb. That would kill dozens of soldiers which meant the defeat of their army. Spectre could only facepalm at this.

"I begin to believe none of them have fought a real battle." Spectre mused to himself as he cracked his neck and looked at a holographic map of the base.

There were dozens of dots, each representing a pirate which wished to do nothing more than kill Samus. A single blue dot represented Samus who steadily descended into the hive easily.

He brought up a view what would be him and the other pirate commanders. He could only dwell on the hunter as he tapped on his arms.

"Guessing how the format is?" Spectre questioned, pausing at said map. "That could only point to Kraid when it comes down to it. That will be smart for Samus, which is where I am going to be heading towards there." Spectre stated as he hummed and started to head to Kraid's category.

Spectre blinked while he thought about Spectre. She was going to be as powerful as possible to defeat when it came down to it. Spectre wanted to fight her.

He wanted to throw his weight against the bounty hunter as he couldn't think about something besides the battle which could define the rest of the galaxy.

"There will be more battles to fight." Spectre stated as he closed his eyes, checking his armor and its weapons. "Samus will defeat Kraid if I am certain. His size does not guarantee his victory over the bounty hunter. She will cut down him, I will observe her. I want to know more." Spectre added as he clicked a button and closed the map.

The sounds of gunfire were heard above him. Spectre was going to be curious how the bounty hunter was at fighting, this battle would be good. Mother Brain would most certainly have a plan to defeat her. Spectre would trust in her wisdom, but he was still going to question WHAT the plan was.

"If Ridley was smarter?" Spectre questioned as he thought aloud. "Then he'd plan something for Samus. He didn't, he'd just want to fight her what is rather stupid." Spectre added to his own outer monologue.

"Hmm..." Spectre hummed aloud, descending further into the base. "I question how long it will take for her to get into the lower levels of the base. I estimate it will take 2 hours for her to reach the lower levels of the base. She will probably leave a massive trail of bodies, it will reach triple digits within the hour." Spectre added, cracking his fingers as he sighed.

Ridley had brought their deaths, there would be more deaths then he could possibly wish to think about. Samus was beyond these soldiers, they would not stop her. They COULDN'T stop her and they knew it, ALL of them were worthless to her.

"Samus is going to be far more interesting to fight." Spectre added as he closed his eyes. "She will surpass them, which means I must surpass her." Spectre put in to which he brought up the map and consulted it once more.

"Attention..." Spectre heard from the speakers. "All defenders to the next level." Spectre also heard and closed his eyes as his armor clicked softly into place.

Phew. Another chapter done! I want to point out that next chapter will be longer. I will update this story soon. Next chapter will be in 2-10 months and will be 900-1500 words and such. Next chapter will also show Spectre hunting Samus and such at the moment. Until then, Lighting Wolf out!
