Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Twin Terrors. Enjoy the 900-word chapter. I don't own Metroid; Nintendo and a few others do.
Spectre continued to march down the tunnel as the sounds of blasts and screeches filled the very air around him. He hummed and pulled up the monitor from before.
"She's heading to Kraid first…" Spectre muttered to himself while he started typing upon the virtual controls. "I question how she'll overcome his massive bulk and tough scales." Spectre added and shook his head.
He had sent small drones to each pirate boss and he was walking towards the chamber. Spectre wanted both physical and virtual proof of what Samus could do. Spectre planned to engage her at the time sooner or later.
He arrived at a chamber where he could view the massive pirate commander. He didn't understand how this creature was a pirate leader, but then again? Ridley was NOT someone who seemed to be deserving of a position of command at the moment.
Spectre tapped a button on the virtual controls and watched the screen switch to a camera view of Samus. He blinked, watching the woman cut down creature after creature in front of her.
"What is this woman?" Spectre questioned while starting to work the controls in front of him.
He watched a missile cut through the door. Spectre watched Samus leave nothing but carnage and destruction behind her. Spectre scanned the scene, watching every single burn and explosion across the chamber.
"Missiles and plasma weaponry." Spectre stated, switching to another scene at this.
Spectre shook his head and started to inspect Samus, curious about what this woman is doing. She blasted a creature down, splitting it apart with a single missile, causing Spectre to rub at his temples.
"This woman is quite powerful for a single hunter." Spectre stated while cracking his fingers at the moment. "Hmm, I'm quite curious about how skilled she will be in combat." Spectre added, his visor flashing with blue light a moment later.
Still? If Samus was this dangerous? Then Spectre would have to apply all of his skills towards this. Samus was quite dangerous, but so was Spectre… And that meant they could fight to the death on even ground.
"None of those creatures are going to stop her, nor will our defenses." Spectre stated, slowly closing the screen at the moment.
Spectre rubbed at his helmeted head. Things were going to slowly amp up. Spectre leaned on the wall and looked at Kraid. He doubted that the normal defenses would hold Samus back. He was quite curious about HOW powerful Samus was, if she could defeat Kraid? Then Samus was clearly more dangerous than he expected her to be.
"Kraid is the muscle of this place, but he's going to be up against this woman." Spectre stated while he started to check his weaponry.
He started to check the weaponry of his suit. He wondered if any of this technology could compare to Samus at the moment. She didn't seem to have all of her gear from what he heard from the pirates.
A missile slowly extended from the magazine in his armor. He cracked his neck and lowered the weapon back into his armor. Spectre then began to check the gatling cannon which was meant to conquer Samus's plasma gun. He knew many of his weapons were meant to stop Samus, to deflect or counter most of her arsenal, still? Samus seemed to be far more different than what he had heard, meaning any tactics he devised against her would have to chain to reflect this.
"The galaxies' best bounty hunter… Coming here because Ridley kidnapped a baby Metroid." Spectre muttered, shaking his head as he lowered his weapon clad arm. "Now we have a one-woman army slowly cutting through everyone. Nothing seems to have stopped her or posed much of a threat to her currently." Spectre stated, cracking his neck as he did so.
Things were far more then they appeared. He had plenty of things to focus upon at the moment. He was hopeful at the time that something could be done to stop Samus soon.
"What am I thinking?" Spectre said while he paused to look around. "I am the weapon their looking forward to. I'm just too busy thinking about WHAT has to be done over HOW it should be done." Specter thought to himself as he hummed and closed his eyes.
He guessed that something had to give. Kraid would be Samus's first real opponent if he had the maps laid out in his mind perfectly which he did.
"If Kraid is her first real enemy?" Spectre asked himself while slowly walking down the corridor. "Then I need to see what she can do against someone serious." Spectre said as he paused once more, curious about what she could do next.
"She's good to get this far, but it might just be luck." Spectre said before breaking into a sprint. "It's time to see if what I've been told actually hold up." Spectre stated to himself.
Author Notes
Phew. Another chapter done! I want to point out that next chapter will be delayed an such. Next chapter will be 2-10 months and will show Spectre meeting Samus face to face and such. Until then, Lighting Wolf out!
P.S: Next chapter will be 900-3500 words or such and might be more interesting.
