Chapter 29: Battle of the Elements
Everyone couldn't believe how that battle turned out.
Everyone was talking about how that fight turned out, particularly how Midoriya seemed happy that he lost.
Bakugo let off a frown as he growled in frustration.
Todoroki was walking back to where his classmates were when he stopped.
"What's the matter?" Asked Endeavor, who was crossing arms while smiling.
"Not gonna tell me to get lost?" Asked Endeavor.
"You need to learn to control your left side, it's dangerous to release that much power like that." Said Endeavor as he was looking over Todoroki's torn uniform from his left.
He widen his arms.
"But i'm glad your finally seeing reason, now that you abandoned your childish rebellion, we can focus on what's important." Said Endeavor.
He held out his hand.
"After you graduate, you'll work by my side, i'll lead you down to the path of the mighty Shoto and to finally take down All Might and put that bastard mongrel Silver Wolf in his place once and for all." Said Endeavor with a smirk on his face.
"I haven't abandoned anything." Said Todoroki without moving.
Endeavor let out a gasp with his face filled with surprise.
Todoroki lifted his left hand to look at it.
"Your a fool if you think my feelings can be so easily reversed." Said Todoroki.
"Instead out there, for that one moment, i forgot all about you." Said Todoroki.
Endeavor let out a huge gasp over what his son was saying.
Todoroki began walking away.
"Whether that's good or bad, whether it's the right thing to do, i don't know." Said Todoroki without looking back.
"Maybe it's you i don't need." Said Todoroki.
Midoriya was sent off to Recovery Girl's office.
"The bones in your right arm were shattered, i'm afraid it'll never be the same as it was before." Said Recovery Girl as Midoriya was laying down on a bed with a cast over his arm while groaning in pain.
All Might and Shirou were beside him.
"I need to remove the bone fragment or they'll get stuck in his joints." Said Recovery Girl.
Both All Might and Shirou gasped at that.
"His wounds are that serious?" Asked Shirou.
"I still won't be able heal him until i do just that." Replied Recovery Girl.
She let out a sigh.
"You lit a fire under this poor boy and look at him now, just to make you happy." Said Recovery Girl.
"I don't like this one bit, All Might." Said Recovery Girl.
"Your going to far, hear me?" Asked Recovery Girl.
"Both you and the boy." Asked Recovery Girl.
"Don't you dare praise him for what he did." Scolded Recovery Girl.
All Might gave no response as he simply looked at the boy.
The door suddenly slammed opened, surprising All Might as blood came out of his mouth.
The people were: Ida, Asui, Uraraka and Michiru who came in with worry expressions on their faces.
"MIDORIYA!" Yelled Everyone as All Might screamed.
He held his hand to chest.
"Jesus, scared the crap out of me." Said All Might in a whisper as he took deep breaths.
"You okay?" Asked Uraraka as she came up.
She noticed All Might but didn't recognize him because of his skeletal form.
"Oh, it's nice to meet you sir." Said Uraraka with a bow.
"Uh, yeah." Said All Might with a nervous smile as sweat began to come down his forehead.
"Huh, Shirou, what are you doing here?" Asked Michiru as she noticed that Shirou was in the room as well.
"I was concerned for Midoriya after what happened." Said Shirou.
He noticed something was off.
"Wait, where's Vandom, i thought she'd be here too?" Asked Shirou.
"She wanted to be here, but her match is on next, so she wanted us to give her worry for Midoriya." Replied Ida.
"While that is noble, i'm afraid i must ask you three to leave, Midoriya is in no condition for visitors." Said Recovery Girl.
Midoriya slowly opened his eyes and noticed his three classmates.
"Hey you guys." Said Midoriya weakly.
"Shouldn't you be watching the matches?" Asked Midoriya in confusion.
"The arena was badly damaged after your match with Todoroki, so their taking a quick break to repair it now." Said Ida as he made choping motions with his arms.
Recovery Girl went over to them while holding out her arms with an injection in her hand.
"Your all much to noisy, i know your worried, but i got to worry on surgery now." Said Recovery Girl.
"SURGERY?!" Yelled everyone in shock, they knew Midoriya was hurt, but didn't think he was that hurt that he needed surgery.
"Go on, get out of here." Said Recovery Girl as she made a shooing motion with her hands.
They tried to argue with her but they were eventually kicked out when Recovery Girl shut the door on them.
"I'm sorry." Said Midoriya which made All Might turn around.
He noticed that Midoriya's eyes had darkened.
"I couldn't do what you asked of me." Said Midoriya as he remembered All Might's speech from earlier.
"If i had shut up, not said anything, i might have been able to beat him." Said Midoriya.
"But i-" Said Midoriya, deciding to stop there.
"While you may not have won, you still did do something, you got Todoroki to realize that there was something important about himself." Said Shirou.
Midoriya let out a grunt.
"I guess so." Said Midoriya with clenched teeth.
"In his first match, he looked so sad, i was trying to figure out why, when i should have been focused." Said Midoriya with his eyes closed.
"I made a bigger mistake though, whenever we were fighting i was just so, so frustrated." Said Midoriya.
"I couldn't see the bigger picture, or what it would take to win, i'm sorry." Said Midoriya.
"It's true that the match didn't go how you wanted it too, and realizing what you did wrong won't change that." Said Shirou.
"But listen, meddling where you don't belong where you don't technically have too is the essence of being a hero, just take a look at me and Michiru, if it weren't for her, i might have lost my way." Said Shirou.
Midoriya started to cry while Recovery Girl sighed.
She began to walk over to where Midoriya.
All Might simply looked away.
Ogami seems to be a better a teacher to Young Midoriya that i appear to be, some teacher i am. Thought All Might.
"WELCOME BACK FOLKS, AFTER SOMETIME WE FINALLY GOT THE ARENA FIXED, AND NOW ONTO THE SECOND MATCH!" Yelled Present Mic.
The crowed cheered at this.
"FROM THE HERO COURSE IN CLASS 1-A WHO BRUTALLY DESTROYED HIS CLASSMATE, GIVE UP FOR BAKGUO!" Yelled Present Mic.
Bakugo came out towards the arena.
"AND ALSO FROM THE HERO COURSE IN CLASS 1-A, WHO DIDN'T EVEN HAD TO USE HER POWERS TO WIN, WILL VANDOM!" Yelled Present Mic.
Will also came out towards the arena.
The duo glared at each other with hatred in both their eyes.
I Can finally get even with you! Thought both Bakugo and Will ironically.
"How do you think this battle's gonna play out?" Asked Michiru.
"Who knows, they're powerful in their own right, wherever or not they'll use the full force of their powers is what we'll have to see." Said Tokoyami.
"I can say this for certain, compared to Uraraka, Vandom might be Bakugo's toughest match." Said Kirishima.
"Yeah, no denying that." Said Kaminari as he nodded his head in agreement.
Midnight raise her flag
"Are you both ready?" Asked Midnight.
"YEAH!" Yelled Bakugo.
"Yeah." Said Will simply with a blank voice.
"Then, BEGIN!" Yelled Midnight as she waved her flag down.
Bakugo activated his explosions to act a jet while giving of a slasher smile.
Will simply stood there and with a wave of her arms, vines came out from the ground and wrapped around his torso.
With a motion of her arm she threw Bakugo to the ground with full force.
Bakugo glared at her with anger.
But he didn't have time as Will started using the vines again to capture him and he had to use his explosion to dodge them.
Will was able to create a ball of air surrounding her and use her Quintessence for added effect and used a spin dash like the one Sonic the Hedgehog uses to crash into Bakugo.
But he dodged just before she could him.
Luckily Will was able to stop before she reached the edge.
She held up her hands and let out her lightning attacks to blast Bakugo.
He was barley able to dodge them before he to close contact with Will.
He tried punching and kicking her, but thanks to her Kung Fu and Ninjitsu training from both Jackie and Master Splinter, she was able to dodge them and strike back by kicking him right in the face with the air powers on her foot.
"Give it up Bakugo, you can't beat me." Said Will as she raised her hand to release another lightning blast.
Bakugo growled and used his explosion to get close contact with her again, intending to torture her like he to Midoriya in the training exerice.
But Will jumped using her air powers and used her Chthonian powers in a form of a whip to wrap around Bakugo's hands.
I'm not gonna stand here and act like you can get away with everything you've done! Yelled Will in her head and activated her lightning inside the Chthonian whip.
When they reached Bakugo he used his powers counter but in doing so created a massive explosion which sent the two back.
Bakugo stood up to when the smoke cleared and began to strike again.
"Bakugo." Said Midnight.
This made Bakugo stopped and looked at Midnight, wondering what she wants.
She raised her whip at him.
"Your out." Said Midnight.
Bakugo gasped and looked down to see his foot was over the line, meaning.
He was out.
Bakugo just growled as he clenched his teeth.
No, i won't accept this! Yelled Bakugo as explosions came out of his hand.
Midnight noticed and took out a piece of cloth from her skin and pink smoke started to come out.
"I WON'T ACCEPT DEFEAT FROM THE LIKES OF YOU, RED HAIR!" Yelled Bakugo as he ran towards her, ready to use his explosions on her.
Before he got any close, the pink smoke surrounded him, making him stop.
Within a few seconds he fell unconscious and hit the ground.
"Bakugo is out of bonds, which means the winner is Vandom!" Yelled Midnight as the crowed cheered.
"Can't say he didn't deserve it after that last match." Said One hero and others grumbled in agreement.
Everyone in Class A was in shock.
"I actually can't believe it." Said Kirishima in disbelief.
"Vandom actually defeated Bakugo." Said Michiru in shock.
"Compared to my battle, Bakugo was on edge when it came to Vandom." Said Uraraka with her eyes widened.
"It actually makes you wonder if Vandom can be beaten, i mean let's face it, compared to all of us, she might be the most powerful member of 1-A." Said Kaminari.
"Yeah and let's not forget that she beat Kagemori once too." Said Ojiro.
Michiru grumbled as she looked away.
She may have beaten me once, but she won't beat in this fight. Thought Michiru.
She walked off as it was time for her match as well.
Cybersix continued looking at the girl with interest.
She was able to keep a good hand of her surroundings so that people don't judge her and she kept a good handle on her Quirk so that she can win, but not injure badly, she might make a good person to intern. Thought Cybersix as she walked off.
"ALL RIGHT FOLKS, LET'S MOVE ON FROM THAT AND GET RIGHT ON TO OUR NEXT MATCH, FROM THE HERO COURSE, CLASS A IS THE WIND USER INASA YOARASHI!" Yelled Present Mic.
"AND ALSO FROM THE HERO COURSE FROM CLASS A WHO'S KNOWN FOR BEING AN ANIMAL, MICHIRU KAGEMORI!" Yelled Present Mic.
Then, Midnight raise her flag
"Are you both ready?" Asked Midnight.
"YEAH!" Yelled Yoarashi with his excitement.
"Yeah." Said Michiru simply with a blank voice.
"Then, BEGIN!" Yelled Midnight as she put her flag down.
Yoarashi tried to use the same strategy as he did before with Kaminari but Michiru planned ahead this time and used her cheetah legs to run fast so that the whirlwind couldn't hit her.
Before Yoarashi knew it, Michiru was right behind him.
Using her rabbit legs and her gorilla arms she just made, she made enough force to push Yoarashi.
Before Yoarashi knew it or could react, he was out of the ring.
"Yoarashi is out, Kagemori wins the match." Said Midnight as she waved her flag down.
It's over, i lost, i failed. Thought Yoarashi as his eyes darkened.
"Man, between Kagemori or Vandom, it's hard to tell who's going to win." Said Kaminari.
"Yeah, Todoroki, Bakugo, Vandom and Kagemori just might be our top elite in our class." Said Kirishima as Asui nodded in agreement.
"NOW HERE'S AN EDGE FOR YOU FOLKS, FROM THE HERO COURSE, CLASS A IS THE GOTH FUMIKAGE TOKOYAMI!" Yelled Present Mic.
"AND ALSO FROM THE HERO COURSE FROM CLASS A WHO'S KNOWN FOR BEING AN ROCK HEAD, EJIRO KIRISHIMA!" Yelled Present Mic.
The crowed shouted as the duo came out to the arena.
Then, Midnight raise her flag
"Are you both ready?" Asked Midnight.
"YEAH!" Yelled Kirishima with his excitement.
"Yeah." Said Tokoyami simply with a blank voice.
"Then, BEGIN!" Yelled Midnight as she put her flag down.
This time should be simple, unlike last time, i just need to push out him of the ring, not directly conflict him. Thought Tokoyami.
"Dark Shadow!" Yelled Tokoyami.
"I got him!" Yelled Dark Shadow as he tackled Kirishima.
Kirishima tried to use his harden arms to attack but Dark Shadow kept evading them all.
"Your not gonna beat me that easily, bird boy!" Yelled Kirishima as he tried to hold onto Dark Shadow.
Little does he realized that by doing so, Dark Shadow is pushing him to the edge.
With one final push from Dark Shadow, Kirshima was outside of the ring.
"Kirishima is out of bonds so the winner is Tokoyami!" Yelled Midnight as she waved her whip.
"Wow, even Tokoyami won his match fast." Said Jiro in amazement.
Asui put a finger to her chin.
"Tokoyami's Dark Shadow is so amazing, ribbit." Said Asui as she looked down to see Will's face.
"What's wrong, still worried about Midoriya?" Asked Asui.
"From what Uraraka told me, Recovery Girl needed to do surgery." Said Will with almost worry.
"Recovery Girl's the best there is, you got nothing to worry about." Said Uraraka.
"She's right." Said Asui in agreement.
"Sure." Said Will, still not convinced.
Recovery Girl was putting in the final touches of her healing ability.
"I healed you enough that you should be able to walk." Said Recovery Girl.
Midoriya was simply panting while being covered in bandages on his face, torso and arms.
"But be careful." Said Recovery Girl.
"Thank you very much, Ma'am." Said Midoriya.
He gasped when he saw his hand still covered in scars.
"That's what you get when you overuse your Quirk in a short time-frame." Said Recovery Girl as she began putting her equipment away.
"Consider your crooked right hand as a warning from now on." Said Recovery Girl.
All Might and Shirou went up to Midoriya, with Shirou putting his hand on Midoriya's shoulder to comfort him.
"Just so you know, i will not heal you injuries like this anymore." Said Recovery Girl.
The three of them gasped when she said this.
Recovery Girl glared at All Might.
"You must find another way for him to use his power, there must be an option that isn't self destructive." Said Recovery Girl.
They didn't say anything and left the office, pondering on their next activity.
"A new way for you to use your Quirk?" Asked All Might as he put his hand to his chin.
Midoriya suddenly stopped.
"Hey All Might." Said Midoriya.
All Might stopped and looked at him with hum.
"Remember how you told me why you came to U.A. in the first place?" Asked Midoriya.
"To find a worthy successor of One for All?" Asked Midoriya.
"Yeah." Replied All Might, wondering why he was bringing this up now.
He came to U.A. to find a successor before he met Midoriya? Asked Shirou as he doesn't remember having this conversation after being told the truth.
"I put everything i had into the Sports Festival but sill, there were other competitors who fought for the victory a lot harder then i did." Said Midoriya as he still didn't look at either of them.
"So maybe-" Said Midoriya before Shirou cut him off.
"Your starting to think that maybe it was better that All Might gave his power to someone else, right?" Asked Shirou.
"Yes." Replied Midoriya with sadness in his voice.
"Well you do speak the truth, every student in this school has potential to become Pro-Heroes." Said All Might.
"One for all is a crystallization of power, it bolsters Quirks for example, if Young Todoroki would inherit it then the strength added to his own Quirk would probably make him an unbeatable powerful superhero." Said All Might.
Before Midoriya could get a word in, All Might continued talking.
"But you and Young Vandom know that i was quirkless too as a kid." Said All Might, pointing at himself.
Midoriya gasped in realization and turned around.
Quirkless, seriously? Asked Midoriya as it seemed unreal.
"Back then it wasn't that rare of a thing, but it was still out of the ordinary." Said All Might.
"Even though i didn't have a power of my own, i had someone who believed in my potential." Said All Might.
"My master gave me One for All, and raised me to become a Hero." Said All Might.
"You never told me about that." Said Midoriya.
"Neither was i." Said Shirou in a bit of surprise.
"Well it's not like you asked, which was more surprising." Said All Might as he smiled and lifted a thumb's up.
"I just can't belive the Number One Hero is Quirkless." Said Midoriya in shock.
"It's true, when we first met, i saw a little of the old me inside you but kid, you've gone beyond my expectations time and time again." Said All Might.
"One day your gonna do incredible things with One for All, that's something i truly believe." Said All Might.
"I'll do my best." Said Midoriya, trying to stop himself from crying.
"Anyway, the Sport Festival isn't over yet, get out there, you don't wanna miss the end." Said All Might.
"Right." Said Midoriya as he walked away.
"AND WITHOUT FURTHER ADO, HERE ARE OUR SEMI-FINAL MATCHES!" Yelled Present Mic.
As the hologram pulled back up, revealing the starting brackets of each battle, with some interesting turnouts that could lead to unexpected challenges.
Bracket 1:
Will Vandom vs. Shoto Todoroki
Bracket 2:
Fumikage Tokoyami vs. Michiru Kagemori
"Oh boy now this is gonna be an intense competition." Said Kaminari nervously.
"What do you mean?" Asked Jiro in confusion.
"Well Todoroki and Vandom have more or less the same Quirk right?" Asked Kaminari.
"Makes sense, this will be one battle for this competition, Element vs Element." Said Ojiro as he nodded in agreement.
Michiru was nervous.
How i am i supposed to fight my closest friend? Asked Michiru in worry.
Hosu City
A man wearing the same costume as Ida was running down the streets.
He lifted his hand to his ear to activate communication.
"Squad A, head north, Squad B check the west side." Said the man.
"Squad A, roger." Said a man.
"Squad B, roger." Said a woman.
Sirens were blaring all over the city.
The man kept running down until he noticed something in the alleyway.
"Back there!" Yelled the man as he turned around.
He used boosters to get himself on top of the buildings and continued running.
"No doubt about it, it's him." Said the man in anger.
He landed on the ground and turned around.
"I found you!" Yelled the man.
The person the man was looking at was an intimidating, muscular man who walks with a distinct hunch, and has a flat, somewhat-triangular face without a nose. He has rather long, black hair, which he wears in a messy fashion; it would drape over his face if not for his headband and mask, and small red eyes with tiny irises. He sports a dark combat suit, plated with metal armor across his body to holster his weapons. The torso is sleeveless, so he instead wraps his arms in yellow bandages, all the way from just below his shoulders to his wrists. He also wears long black wristbands and a watch on his left arm, and his knees are protected with metal pads, the costume completed by black boots with steel armor. He always dons his signature blood-red scarf and matching headband, as well as the tattered cloth he wears around his face as a mask.
"Hero Killer!" Yelled the man.
Sports Festival
Will then focus on the opponent before her.
Todoroki also look at his father, Enji, who was on the sidelines with his arms crossed and watching the fight with a stern look, then after few seconds, Midnight stood in between and raise her flag
"Are you both ready?" Asked Midnight.
"Yeah!" Yelled Will.
"Yes!" Yelled Todoroki.
"Then...BEGIN!" Yelled Midnight as she put down her flag.
Wasting no moment, Todoroki was the first one to attack, setting his right foot in front of him and unleashing a torrent of ice towards Will, who retract her right fist and raise her left hand in front
Then, as the wall of ice was about to hit her, she thrust her right fist and a blazing flame was lit from it, the fire was strong and hot enough to completely melt the ice and push itself all the way to Todoroki's position, one advantage of her Fire is...it actually has a solar affinity, meaning that it's stronger during day and it's in full power at noon, and luckily, it's almost noon so Will's fire was stronger and hotter in these times
Todoroki tsked in annoyance.
Todoroki was left no choice but to move from his position before the fire burned him, however, another surprise came to him as the water produced by the melted ice earlier was now hovering in the air, and then.
The water droplets went on Will's both arms and form a tentacle-like whips.
She use it as her weapon, whipping it on the arena as a test run, which shown that it already has enough force to crack the surface of the arena upon impact
"Shouldn't have made yourself predictable with your ice attacks, Todoroki." Said Will.
Then she began using the whips, she tried hitting Todoroki in attempt to send him outside the arena and finish the fight quick but the boy's athletic and trained body combined by his ice allows him to dodge Will's whips, however, while the latter was whipping him, his legs were already moving on the ground as if he's dancing around, and then, the debris on the arena float and hurl itself towards the dual quirk user
"Damn it!" Yelled Todoroki.
Todoroki realized that he was in complete defense, being forced to put more effort on dodging the water whips and the cement debris that was flying to him, and then, in order to buy time for himself, he create a wall of ice between them in order to temporarily shield his action from Will's sight
In that short amount of time, the crowd was already roaring in awe and excitement.
"WHAT A DISPLAY OF POWER FROM VANDOM, SHE'S ALREADY PUSHING TODOROKI ON THE EDGE AT THE BEGINNING OF THE BATTLE!" Yelled Present Mic.
"What power, using water and fire at the same time...Vandom really is strong." Said Kirishima in impressiveness.
Some of his classmates nodded in agreement.
"Todoroki will have a hard time with her, his ice will be countered so easily and become water if melted, on which Vandom can use against him." Said Tokoyami.
"Yeah, Todoroki can only use Ice and Fire, whereas Will can use all the elements, Todoroki's at a disadvantage here, i don't see anyway how he can win." Said Michiru.
Bakugo was watching them from his seat and can't help but to grit his teeth.
Will decided to wait on Todoroki and whatever he's planning to do, and then, after few seconds, Will felt a sudden chill
"This is." Said Will suddnely getting an idea of what's happened.
Then, the surface of the arena was starting to freeze and closing in towards him, so Will used Earth on her foot one last moment to propel herself upward, and then, what he saw was...
"As I thought." Said Will.
He can see that the entire arena was now covered with Todoroki's ice, and so, the user can freely slide around
"With this, you can no longer use the arena against me through that earth quirk or yours." Said Todoroki.
But Will wasn't unfazed at that.
"Is that so?" Asked Will.
As Will was about to land, she spun her body in the air horizontally, and then, an air construct ball appear on the place where she will land, and then, she rode on it in an Indian-style sit and the airball she's riding move around along with her
"What!" Yelled Todoroki in surprise.
Todoroki gasp, seeing Will was riding an airball and moving around very fast, but he can see that she's still adjusting herself, on Will's POV, she cursed a bit as she was almost thrown away but she manage to correct her position before that happen.
Damn it, even though I've practice this move many times, it's still very hard to get used to this, how does Hay Lin make it look so easy? Thought Will before clenching her hands, and then, she thrust one of it towards Todoroki and a blazing flame was fired, releasing a stream of fire
Todoroki was also sliding around to dodge his flames, and now, the match became a game of chase with Will riding an airball and Todoroki sliding around, no one has an intention to back down until Will decided to stop playing around and became serious on the match.
Todoroki gasp a bit, the airball disappeared after Will jump, and then, clenching both of her fist, Will thrust it downward, a blazing flame was on her left fist while on her right fist was a stream of air, the air greatly amplifies her flame's firepower, great enough to melt the entire ice that was enveloping the arena
"What!" Yelled Todroki in complete shock.
Todoroki manage to create an ice wall just in time to protect himself from the indirect attack, but unfortunately, even the ice that protected him was melted shortly at the intense heat of Will's air-enhanced flames
"This girl." Said Todoroki in amazement.
After that, Will landed on the arena, her both palms were displaying a combination of fire and air each, then Will look at him.
"Sorry, Todoroki, but I think it's time to end this." Said Will and just after those words left her mouth, she thrust both her palms and a blazing stream of fused air and fire erupt, and as a result, a gigantic blast of hot flame was fired on Todoroki's direction
"Damn!" Yelled Todoroki.
Todoroki created another wall of ice but it was completely useless as Will's fused element attack effortlessly tore through it and engulfed Todoroki, who was hanging on and preventing himself from being thrown outside.
"WHAT A FIGHT, AND IT LOOKS LIKE TODOROKI TOOK THE FIRST HIT FROM VANDOM'S ATTACK!" Yelled Present Mic.
"WILL HE MANAGE TO SURIVE OR WILL HE'LL BE BLASTED OUT OF THE ARENA FOR GOOD?" Asked Present Mic.
The crowd watch in amazement as the gigantic stream of flames keep being fired on Todoroki's direction
Todoroki felt that his skin was slowly being melted despite keeping himself from being burned by continuously coating himself with ice, however, it wasn't enough since he can still feel the heat, and slowly, he was being pushed back thanks to the Air.
"Grrr!" Yelled Todoroki in annoyance.
Todoroki was losing the match, he knew it, but that doesn't mean that he'll just let Will win this fight so easily not if he's able to give everything he had first
"N-Not yet, t-there's no way I'll be losing to you after coming this far." Muttered Todoroku while struggling to block the flames
Then out of a blue, a sudden explosion of a foreign flames blown and cancelled Will's fire and Air combination, and then, after few seconds, everyone was shocked to see Todoroki's left side of his body was ablaze with his own bright orange flame once again like from Midoriya's fight.
At the teacher's side, the occupants was shocked at the sudden burst of another fire, and at the same time, they were interested at the progress of the battle, Cybersix look at Todoroki and then to Will before she let out a grin
At the sidelines, Endeavor was more than happy and overjoyed, seeing the flame erupt from his son's body once again.
At the student's side, everyone was stunned at the development, especially the Class 1-A
"T-This is." Said Kaminari.
"It's just like with Midoriya's match." Said Michiru in shock.
Todoroki and Will was facing each other, but this time, both contenders were ready to go all out, Todoroki look at the grinning Will before he narrowed his eyes at that
"You lost your chance of defeating me, Vandom, now prepare yourself." Said Todoroki.
"We'll see about that." Said Will.
Then, in a blink of an eye, The flames on Todoroki's left side suddenly thrust itself forward to attack Will, but Todoroki gasped a bit as his own fire circled around her instead of attack her like it should.
What's going on? Asked Todoroki in much confusion.
Will then motioned her left fist upward and then.
What the hell! Yelled Todoroki as he suddenly felt something hit his gut, he gasped in shock to see a cement block emerged directly in front of him and hit his chest very hard, sending him flying as well.
Will used her air powers to jump to catch up.
The two fighters were on the air and was being threatened to be sent outside the arena if they don't do something, and so, Will motioned her right fist this time and a wall of cement emerged behind her, then, she spun her body and adjust herself so that she can land on the wall by her feet, thus, preventing herself from going outside the boundary.
Todoroki, on the other hand, spun his body and swung his right arm, a chilling force was released and created a wall of ice, then, just like Will, he use it as a stepping stone in order to prevent himself from going outside as well
"Vandom!" Yelled Todoroki.
He then jump from the ice he's stepping on, causing it to be shattered into pieces at the force of his jump
"Todoroki!" Yelled Will.
She did the same thing on the wall she's stepping on, shattering it as well, and now, both fighters were approaching each other in a blinding speed, Todoroki ignite his left arm with his flames while Will manipulate purest pink energy of Quintessence and have it coat her right arm before clenching her hand into a fist
"This is bad, Midnight!" Yelled Cementoss as he use his quirk to put layers of cement between the two.
"These two were seriously trying to hurt each other!" Yelled Cementoss.
Midnight then tore the sleeve of her hero costume and release a pink gas from it
Todoroki and Will were a couple of seconds away before colliding at each other, and then...Todoroki use let out a faint smile
"Thank you." Whispered Todoroki , and then, he let out a blast of intense fire from his hand, and at the same time, Will thrust her right fist and a powerful burst of pink energy was released on it, the sudden collision of two elements causes a large explosion, render Cementoss' layers of cement and Midnight's pink gas useless as it was blown away along with some cement debris from the arena.
"WHAT!" Yelled Present Mic.
Midnight herself was also blown away from her post at the sheer force of the explosion, smoke was covering the entire arena so the audience has no clue who win and who lose, the teachers was also wondering too and so are the students.
"This is insane!" Yelled Michiru.
"You're kidding me!" Yelled Kaminari.
"Those two were really monsters!" Yelled Jiro.
"Will." Said Midoriya, slightly worried at his friend
At the arena, the smoke was beginning to cleared slowly until they can see some silhouettes on it
"T-THIS IS." Said Present Mic.
Then, the smoke was completely cleared to reveal the aftermath of the battle, and based on it, the winner has finally decided.
"TODOROKI HAS BEEN KNOCKED OUT, VANDOM WINS!" Yelled Present Mic as Midnight was nowhere to be seen.
Finally finished, i thought i was never gonna complete this chapter.
This has to be my favorite chapter, i got inspired by another fanfiction where Midoriya had the powers of an Avatar, even the title is reference.
I should let you know that i plan on publishing a new fanfiction series on New Years Day, and i think you'll like this one.
