The doctor tosses around some big words, but all he hears is that she is alive and they say her condition is 'Complicated'. Complicated he muses and his brain registers that it means shit all. He tries focus. She is alive, but it's complicated. He tries again to focus on the meaning. To him complicated is his relationship with his mother. Complicated is the math equations Will is repeating over and over again. There is nothing complicated about this. Someone shot Tris. He was going to find out exactly who and make them pay. Nothing complicated about that.
