To him it happened slowly, the doctors slowed down, they looked at each other, they began to move their hands away from her chest. They stopped pumping air into her lungs. They were moving so slowly almost as if someone had put them all into a slow-motion movie. Tobias mouth opened to scream at them to hurry up, to bring her back but as the words began to form the drone of the heart monitor stopped and it beeped. Tobias shut his mouth as it went quiet, and then it beeped again, and then again.
