Soda was raging the whole way into town. He was surely gonna make Roy pay for what he's done. While in town, he ran into Steve at smiled.
"Hey, Soda. What's got you riled up?" Steve asked, noticing Soda's rage. It wasn't like him to get this mad about this. "Bexley said who did it," Soda said.
"Did what?" Steve asked, crossing his arms. He didn't understand what his best buddy was talking about. He hadn't been around a lot since Bexley and Reese had been found.
"Who kidnapped her and Two-bit's sister. It was one of those damn Socs," Soda replied, chest heaving. Steve was speechless. "Which one?"
"She said it was the dark haired soc with shirt curly hair. The one that Bexley fought in a while back. His name's Roy," Soda said. "Let's waste this dick," Steve said, shoving a fist in his other hand.
The two friends went to the richer side of town, where the socs were. They didn't care that they were getting disgusted looks from the two greasers walking their side of town.
It didn't take long for him to find him. He was at a bar, laughing as if nothing happened. They went in the bar, spotting the soc sitting at the bar.
"You piece of shit," Soda screamed, storming over to Roy. Steve followed close behind him. Soda grabbed Roy by the back of his shirt, turning him around uh b
"Don't fucking lie to me! I know you did it!" Soda bellowed, raising his voice. The bartender saw this and fast walked over to them. "Whoa, what's going on here?" He asked.
"He just walked up and attacked me for no reason!" Roy cried in a pathetic tone. "He's a liar! This bastard raped my sister and my friends' sister!" Soda bellowed.
Roy still tried to play innocent around the bartender. "I don't know what you're talking about, grease!" Roy exclaimed, smirking devilishly at Soda.
"Hey, son, I'm gonna have to ask you two to leave," the bartender warned, breaking up the fight before it could start. "You're coming with us," Soda said, grabbing the sic by his neck.
He dragged Roy by the back of the neck, Steve right behind him. Once they were outside, Soda threw Roy to the ground hard.
"You're a sick, twisted bastard, you know that?" Steve spat. The mask was taken off of Roy's face in a matter of seconds. His eyes were void of any emotion; completely dead inside.
"What're you planning on doing to me? I can easily make it seem like you assaulted me just because you felt like it. You greasers are already white trash so you think this'll make you any better?" Roy said with a psychotic grin.
Soda grabbed him and hoisted him to his feet and slugged him across the face. "In the next few minutes, I'm gonna make you wish you were dead," Soda said darkly.
He sent Steve to call the fuzz while Soda dealt with Roy. "I'd like to see you try," he said, spitting in Soda's face. Soda jumped back and wiped the spit off his face. That fueled his anger even more.
Soda reeled his fist back and threw it back towards Roy's face, knocking him backwards. The punch was so hard that it broke Roy's nose. He felt it crack under his knuckles.
Blood instantly flowed out of Roy's nose, making him cry out in pain. Soda didn't give Roy enough time to recover and slugged Roy again across the jaw. However, Roy wasn't showing any signs of pain with each punch.
He kept going until Roy pulled out a knife, flicked it open, thrusting it into Soda's stomach. Soda didn't register the pain at first, but he did feel the pressure in his stomach. When he looked down, he saw the blade plunged 3/4 deep in his abdomen.
That's when he felt it. After he fell, clutching his profusely bleeding abdomen, there were sirens. Soda smiled softly through the intense pain, feeling relieved that Roy would be put behind bars. Steve rushed outside after seeing his friend getting stabbed.
"Freeze! Put your hands up!" The cop, John Norris shouted, training his gun on Roy. Roy followed instructions, slowly putting his hands up. The cop carefully walked up to him, gun still drawn.
"Drop the weapon!" He commanded. Roy did what he was told, letting the blood-soaked knife drop to the ground. The cop pulled out his handcuffs, pulled Roy's hands roughly behind his back and cuffed him.
"You're under arrest for the kidnappings and assault of Bexley Curtis, Reese Matthews, and Sodapop Curtis. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say will be used against you in a court of law," Norton said firmly, escorting Roy roughly to the car.
Roy looked over his shoulder, giving Soda and Steve the most piercing stare, and he gave a creepy grin to the two greasers before being shoved into the police car.
Steve was trying to stop the bleeding from Soda's wound. Norton commanded his partner to take Roy away so he could tend to Soda. The car started up and drove off.
Norton ran back to the two greasers, alerting paramedics to be there immediately. Soda was hyperventilating, making blood gush out of his wound.
"Son, I need you to breathe, you're losing too much blood," Norton said in a calm voice so he wouldn't scare the teenager anymore. Soda tried calming his breathing, but it hurt so badly that it was hard.
Norton turns to Steve, who was in panic mode. He rarely ever felt scared, but he thought his best friend was dying right in front of him. "I need you to put pressure on the wound to stabilize the bleeding. Calm down, okay?" The officer said in the same tone of voice.
"Okay… okay…" Steve said with a nod, taking his DX off quickly and pressing it to the stab wound. It seemed to work but the shirt was covered in Soda's blood.
The closest ambulance arrived in about five minutes later. They loaded Soda in the ambulance and asked Steve if he wanted to go with them, but he said he needed to tell his two brothers and sister about what happened.

(Tulsa Saint Hospital)
Darry, Ponyboy, and Bexley rushed to the hospital after being told Soda had been stabbed. It was tense to say the least. Bexley was curled up against the back of the seat, trying not to panic.
Her breaths became quicker, she rubbed her scarred wrists. She blamed herself for what happened to her brother. She know feared Roy would go after Two-Bit. Ponyboy and Darry were constantly looking over at her as they drove down the street.
They park out front, and found Soda's room, who had just gotten out of surgery. It wasn't easy sneaking Steve and Two-Bit into Soda's room. But they'd have to visit Reese after checking with Soda.
Soda had bandages tightly wrapped around his waist underneath that hospital gown. He had a breathing tube up his nose. He was still groggy from the anesthesia they gave him.
Darry put a strong hand on his shoulder. "How're you feeling, little brother?" He asked. "Sore, but I'll be alright. If it wasn't for Stevie here, I wouldn't have made it," Soda replied, voice deep front grogginess.
"It's no trouble, man," Steve said, gently patting him on the shoulder. Soda looked over at Ponyboy and Bexley, noticing just how quiet Bexley was.
"She hasn't said a word since you left. She feels guilty about you getting stabbed, Soda," Ponyboy said sadly, hands in his jacket pockets. Soda's eyes turned sad when he learned this.
"Bexley, c'mere," he said, his voice soft. Bexley shook visibly, scared that she would get punished for this. "It's okay, baby girl. I just want to talk to you," Soda said cautiously.
Ponyboy carefully puts an arm around his sister. "It's okay, Bex," he says gently. Bexley looked at him, feeling reassured that Soda wouldn't do anything to hurt her. "O-Okay," she said, walking ahead.
Darry patted her shoulder as she walked to Soda. "None of this is your fault. Me getting stabbed isn't your fault. Don't beat yourself up over this, okay? I did what I had to to protect you and Pony. He won't be bothering you or Reese anymore," Soda said, taking her small hands in his own.
Bexley sniffled and smiled at him. She ended up hugging him the best she could and Soda hugged her back. "So what happened with that piss ant?" Two-Bit asked.
"Fuzz showed up and took him away. Thing is, I don't know who called them," Soda said. "It was me, Soda. I even told them what was going down," Steve said. Soda, along with the rest of the gang, smiled at him, as a way to thank him for saving Soda's life.
