"I can't believe your dad got married, and to somebody named Darci, how do you feel about it?" Shocket asked.
"Yeah I know, my dad was trying to get me to bond sith her." Linda replied softly.
It was still December and New Year's Eve meaning the end of the year but the beginning of an new one so because Darci, Howard, Lylla and Rocket were goijg out to party, Ranger and Riley were watching Casey, Linda and Shocket yet they were goijg to have their own party which made them excited which Rocket thought cute a little bummed he would not get to let fireworks off, which gave Shocket a crazy but brillant idea, making Linda curious about what her soulmate was thinking seeing fireworks impressing Casey knowing her uncle would love to set them off if he was here.
"You want to set them off, don't you?" she asked her seeing her nod.
Casey then let her do it, saying she wasn't a goody-four paws all the time, making Linda surprised, that Casey wasn't telling Ranger and Riley seeing the fireworks going off, seeing Ranger and Riley chuckle at what the kids were doing, knowing Rocket would be proud of Shocket like when she kicked tail in the ice-hockey team, then restarted her wrestling career, which made Ranger proud of her like Rocket and Riley when they went ti his wrestlijg matches.
"Yeah, I hope daddy sees the fireworks, frim where, he, Auht Darcik Mama Scruff and uncle Howard are." she told him.
"I think so, , the others in the buildijg probably loved the surprise, and yes you guys can stay up, it is nearly midnight, dic you make your New Year's wishes?" Riley told thdm seeing Casey nod surprising Linda and Shocket, asking what New Year's resolutions were hearing Casey tdll them.
"Wait, what's yours?" Linda asked her.
"To not ve thought of ad a goody-four paws by hour girlfriend." she surprised Shocket.
She was thinkijg of an New Year's wish that was just as good as her cousin's, as they saw the adults homek hearing Rocket tell her that they'd seen the fireworks deciding to come home, seeing fireworks they had not set off, heading to the apartment building roof seeing the kids excited and helping him set them up and Shocket handing him her lighter, settijg them off, laughijg hearing them go off along with Howard seeijg both Darci and Lylla roll their eyes at their husbands, seeihg Ranger and Riley grin having drinks hearijg Rocket ask Riley where Zora was.
"We're goijg to spend Lunar New Year togethet,nbro." she replied.
Riley hoped the kids were havijg fun settihg off fireworks and stayijg up late, seeing Lylla nervous as it was one in the mornihg and way past their bedtime which made Shocket roll her eyes at her, callijg her a certain name that made the female-otter flinch and Rocket laugh at her knowihg this was how she got around Lyllas's rules, makijg Linda and Casey wonder why Lylla looked freaked.
"Lylla used to be in a gang, Scruff was her name but Shocket thinks it's awesome and calls her Mama Scruff." Rocket replied.
"Wow that's intresting, no wonder Rocket likes you, Scruff." Howard said seeijg Darci glare.
"Howard that's not cool." she told him, making Linda giggle at that along with Shocket.
"Thanks Darci for that, but Rockie told Shocket those stories, which I had no clue about." Lylla said.
It was later that day and after being up late, Casey and Shocket were exhausted besides being sleepy and grumpy, so Lylla was happy for them to sleep despite wanting to talk to Shocket about the stories her dad had told her involving a certain nickname the female kit was calling her, deciding to wait until Shocket was mentally awake seeing Rocket sigh, it was helping Shocket think Lylla was awesome, it wasn't like she would join a Ravager gang, seeing his wife look like she had seen a ghost.
"Relax pretty lady, I was kidding!" Rocket assured her.
"I know but that could happen, history could repeat." Lylla said.
Rocket then wrapped his arms around her in a hug, saying they could keep Shocket safe, she just loved the idea of her mom being a biker chick that broke rules, realising that was not helping things, making Ranger and Riley understand askijg if they coukd try talking to Shocket since she thought they were the coolest adults.
