"I called it, dad you owe me!" Shocket said seeing her dad and uncle Howard return from Tivon's lair with Darci who was now a brunette feathered duck, which made Linda happy and Shocket scowl.
"Alright but you know something cool, with Howard you have Darci as a mom and with us, you have Mama Scruff." Rocket said seeing Lylla glare hearing that nickname, she hoped Darci could get that out of Shocket's brain seeing Shocket go to her room closing the door makijg Darci confused because how Rocket had said it was true.
"I'll talk to her, Darci becoming our stepmom is confusing to the both of us, I always wanted a mom." Limda said to her which Howard understood, he and Linda with Shocket clicked, however there were somethings he was not good at because they were girls makijg Darci understand, guessing Linda would be easier to bond with, Shocket would be a challenge seeing Howard nod.
"Wanna bet Shocket goes on a rampage, because your wife might stomp on her life?" Rocket said to Howard seeing Lylla elbow him saying their kit was not a monster seeijg Rocket agree, makijg them coffee.
"It's alright,mbesides Lijda and Shocket have been through what you almost got put through, so maybe you can help Shockie that way, she still has bad dreams and thinks Tivon will come back for her." Rocket said.
Darcinunderstood but felt bad for Linda and Shocket, seeing Linda there, telling Rocket that Shocket wanted to talk to him after she had calmed her down seeijg him go talk to her, making Lylla relieved seeing her bonding with Darci knowing she should try with Shocket seeing Howard agree.
Later that night in bed, she and Rocket were talkijg about thijgs, especially the kits knowing seeijg Darci bonding with Linda made her want to try bonding with Shocket making Rocket smirk, knowing Howard had helped with this, hearing Shocket's footsteps about to get up hearing Lylla say that she had this, makijg him surprised, letting her try.
"This might work after all." he said getting some sleep.
"Shouldn't Shocket be at school like Linda?" Darci asked Howard.
"She and school don't mix, toots, she's fine." Howard replied.
It was a few days after New Year's and Casey and Linda had went back to school which had made Shocket scowl which Lijda understood and had reassured she would be back at the end of the day huggijg her before she and Casey had left with Lylla to take them to school so Darci felt bad for the mohawked female-kit seeing her in her and Lindas's room with her stuffed duck, Quacker and her Rocket plush that she used to represent her, having a party, which the brunette feathered duck found sweet, askimg if she wanted a snack, seeing her nod as she wasn't used to Darci or her peppy energy.
"Hey I don't bite, you can trust me, Tivon was a jerk to me." she told her, seeing her squeezing her Rocket plush's paw gently to feel better seeing Howard hug the kit saying Darci had to get used ro her too, making Shocket surprised by thatand take deep breaths going to ask Darci for a snack makimg the brunette-feathered duck happy, seeing her huggijg Quacker in her furry little arms.
"Awwww, it's okay, we'll just take our time." she told her.
