"Holy crutack, h-how did this happen." Linda stuttered, as Demetra was giggling at her reaction to seeing Demetra was now Shocket's twin-sister making her smirk.
It was a few hours later after Rocket had used a personality-splitter to give her a life of her own then she was taking an nap, but was feeling better after having milk and cookies plus was excited about Casey's birthday party plus she and Shocket had gotten Casey a birthday gift.
"It's okay, Ducky my dad, Mama Scruff and I are helping Demetra learn to be good." Shocket reassured Linda seeing Demetra hugging Shocket.
"Okay, I guess I can trust her, us against the galaxy, soulmates for life, til death do us part through happiness and strife." she told Linda kissing her feathery cheek.
They were hanging out, plus were helping Demetra find her room, noticing she was quiet understanding because when they'd lived with Tivon, they never had their own rooms feeling Shocket squeeze her paw gently to assure her it was happening seeing her brown eyes wide in awe at this just as Rocket walked in, saying Tivon was in jail making them excited wanting to celebrate, plus Linda had told Shocket in her mind's ear, through their mental-link seeing Rocket getting ready for date night.
He'd left money for them to order dinner, making Linda and Shocket decide to order pizza as they were having their own celebration in Shocket's room, making Casey curious but Lylla understood along with Ranger and Riley promising to watch out for the kits until they came back.
"After pizza, we should play Dareingo, like old times." Shocket said.
"Yeah like old times, when Tivon wasn't around." Linda added.
"Can I play too." Demetra asked seeing her nodding.
"Awesome, but Casey's probably doing stuff." Demetra told her.
Shocket nodded phoning the pizza place they normally ordered from, knowing their usual orders including ice-cream making Demetra excited, paw-bumping Shocket seeing Linda putting a picnic-rug on the floor of Shocket's room making Demetra happy, only she saw Shocket quiet, after the pizza-delivery guy had brought their orders, but he'd touched her mohawk which she didn't like compared to when her dad or Linda touched it, feeling Linda touch her mohawk gently which made her feel better.
"The delivery-guy ruffled my mohawk, I don't like strangers doing that." she said.
"Ohhh that makes sense, but you're okay with me touching it, right." Linda asked.
"Of course I do, I trust you and my pops, I just don't like strangers doing it." Shocket replied feeling Demetra and Linda hug her, making her feel better and was hungry so they were digging in enjoying the feast making Linda relieved that her furry soulmate was feeling better deciding to tell Rocket about this, when he and Lylla got back from their date-night.
During Dareingo, Linda dared Shocket to eat from the dumpster, like her Terran raccoon cousins impressing Demetra, hoping their dad was not back and flip at Shocket taking on Linda's dare eating chucken nuggies, one of her favourites from McDonalds.
After cleaning up, they were back in the apartment, so were listening to music because Ranger and Riley were deep sleepers so having a dance-party was okay.
"Ohhh, man I wish I'd been there, then I could have helped her." Rocket told Linda.
It was the next morning and Demetra, Linda and Shocket had stayed up so late, they'd fallen asleep in Shocket's room but after she had woke up, Linda remembered to tell her uncle Rocket what happened last night so Rocket would talk to Shocket knowing she didn't like strangers touching her mohawk or try to touch her fur like he didn't like strangers trying to touch him like first meeting Mantis, relieving Linda as he would know what to do in case strangers tried to do it, like if kids wanted to at Casey's party letting Linda help him make breakfast for everybody.
"Hey dadfy, Ducky…" Shocket said sleepily walking into the kitchen.
Rocket was seeing her mohawk was messy, remembering what Linda had told him about the mohawk incident waiting until she was more awake to talk about it, along with personal space seeing her grin smelling pancakes making Rocket chuckle.
"Hey Shockie, we see you, somebody had fun ladt night." he told her.
Shocket told him all the fun she, Demetra and Linda had but surprised, that Linda had told her dad about that only her furry cheeks were pink along with the tip of her furry nose which made her feel weird knowing her dad got like this, when strangers try to touch him like when he first met Mantis.
"I get it, but if strangers try to touch your mohawk or fur, speak up but it's okay to walk away like if kids do it at Casey's party, plus people try to touch me like some of my fans however true ones like Casey's friend Bree, respect that and don't try." he explained to her.
"Ohhhh that's okay, I can try this." Shocket told him.
