"This is even worse than I thought…" Faragonda sighed.
Samara, Bloom, Stella and Layla glanced at each other nervously. There were in Faragonda's office and had just told the Headmistress everything that had happened.
"Do you know who this man is Mrs. Faragonda?" Bloom asked.
"Unfortunately I do Bloom." The woman said. "It appears we are dealing with the Shadow Phoenix."
"Shadow Phoenix?" Stella asked. "Dramatic much."
"What is this Shadow Phoenix?" Samara asked ignoring Stella. "And what does he want?"
"He also is known as Lord Darkar, in his human form that is."
Faragonda's eyes shifted to Bloom briefly. "According to what you described you saw in that hall Samara, it appears he is looking for the four pieces of the Codex."
"The what?" Stella asked.
"Four, but I saw only three carvings in that stone tablet." Samara said.
"Three for storage untill all four can be united." Faragonda said. "And when that happens…well let's just say we need to prevent that from happening…"
"Where are these Codex?" Layla asked. "We need to get to them before he does."
"I'm not sure if I can tell you girls that information." Faragonda said.
"Is it in that secret library?" Bloom asked.
Faragonda's mouth fell open. She quickly composed herself but kept staring at the red haired girl with big eyes.
"How did you find out about that library?"
"I uh…stumbled accross it on my first day of school." Bloom said guilt written on her face. "I didn't mean to walk into a restricted section but the door just appeared out of nowhere." "I met the pixie Concorda and her animals."
Faragonda looked shocked for a moment.
"Well I suppose if anyone needed to find it it would be you Bloom." She said. "That changes things slightly."
The woman sighed deeply. "Yes one piece of the Codex is hidden at Alfea."
"That means that the other schools also have one piece hidden." Samara said. "I mean why would only Alfea hide one, the other schools also have the best defense."
"Very clever thinking." Faragonda said.
"Than the last piece has to be related to the pixies, why else would he want to kidnap some of them?" Layla said. "Probably Pixie Village!"
Faragonda smiled. "It seems as if I am not needed at all."
Her smile disappeared and she looked very serious to the fairies in front of her. "Please be aware that this information is very, very secret."
"We won't tell anyone." Samara said.
"Yes you will." Faragonda said. "Inform Flora, Musa and Tecna, they are after all part of the Winx as well." "But not another soul."
The four girls nodded.
"I'm glad you are all safely back at Alfea, it turned out that this mission is far more dangerous than I first expected."
"We were lucky that you decided to send professor Avalon, otherwise we wouldn't be sitting here." Bloom said.
"I did not send professor Avalon to you, he did that on his own." Faragonda said. "But I am gratefull that he did." Faragonda said.
Samara frowned.
"Now one last thing before you can go back to your dorm."
The headmistress turned to Layla, who immediately sat up.
"Layla, I would personally want to invite you to start an education here at Alfea."
"Really?" The girl asked with wet eyes. "That would be an honor headmistress."
"Good, then we need to find you a dorm."
"She could move in with me." Samara said. "My room is big enough for two."
"That's so sweet of you!" Layla said. "Thank you."
"That's alright, as long as you don't snore that is."
All four girls laughed. Faragonda dismissed them after reassuring Layla and Samara that their shared bedroom would be ready for them right away and they walked towards the dorm. As soon as Stella opened the door, they were attacked by three figures.
"Oh thank goodness you're back!" Flora said.
"How was it?" Musa asked. "Did you find anything?"
"Let's give them some space to breathe first." Tecna said.
All of them moved towards the living room and after checking if everything was locked, the four girls informed their dorm members of everything.
"So that evil guy is looking for four pieces of some kind of puzzle and one of them is here?" Musa asked.
"Oh but that means he can come after us!" Flora said in a shivering voice.
"What is the plan now?" Tecna asked. "Just sit and wait untill he comes knocking on the front door?"
"We don't know yet, all Faragonda said that we must prevent him from getting all the pieces." Samara said. "I guess she'll come up with something soon enough."
"I sure hope so…"Flora said.
Stella yawned. "I am going to take a shower and then head to bed, night you guys."
The other Winx decided to go to bed as well. Layla and Samara walked towards their now shared bedroom.
"Amazing!" Layla said.
The room was now split into two, one side at the wall with the window, the bed standing in the corner and blocked out of sight by the clothing cabinet of Samara and her desk at the other corner of the outer wall. The other side was in the front with also a bed, clothing cabinet and desk. Layla fell on top of the bed in the front.
"Oh it's sooo soft!" She said. She jumped off it again and opened her closet. "And all my clothes are here how did she do that?"
"It's Faragonda." Samara said as she walked to what was now her side of the room. "She is one of the most powerfull fairies out there."
"Thank you…for letting me stay in your room." Layla said.
"It's our room now." Samara said. "It's nice to have some company."
Both girls changed into their pajama's and crawled into bed.
Far away from Alfea, three figures lurked in the darkness of Darkar's castle. The Shadow Phoenix himself was sitting on a throne.
"Come closer witches." He said. "I have important news."
One by one, Icy, Darcy and Stormy stepped forward.
"Yes my lord?" Icy asked.
"We are one step closer to obtain all that is needed to open the realm of Relix." The man said.
"How so?" Stormy asked. "The pixies were rescued before they could tell us where the last piece is hidden."
"Not to mention those awefull fairies found out what we are looking for." Icy added.
"True we still don't know where the Pixy Village is or how the other pieces are protected within the three schools." Darkar said. "But that is not all that is needed to open Relix." Darkar said. "Two other ingredients are vital and both were here tonight."
The Trix stared at each other with a confused look.
"Don't worry dear witches, all will become clear in time…"
