Bbbzzz…Bbbzzzz….
Samara slowly opened her eyes and immediately closing them again. Sunlight was blinding her. She groaned before getting up from her chair and closing the curtains.
Bbbzzz…Bbbzzz…
Her phone was buzzing on the corner of her desk, the screen lit up indicating someone was calling her.
"Hello?"
"Wow you sound aweful!" Sky's voice sounded.
His sister just grunted in response. She spend most of the night crying before falling asleep out of pure exhaustion.
"Father called me." He continued.
There was a serious tone in his voice. Samara turned her attention to their conversation.
"He did?" "What for?"
"Apparently Lady Diaspro has been kidnapped by some kind of enemies of the throne on Eraklion."
The image of a spoiled blonde brat appeared in Samara's mind.
"Diaspro, what do they want with her?"
"They thought she was well…you."
"Me?" Samara repeated.
"Well…they thought she was the princess." Sky said. "Anyway father asked for our presence to try and free her."
"But you can't, today is Red Fountain's opening day."
"My duty as prince comes first." Sky said with a strikt tone. "They will have to find someone else for the show."
"Okay…give me an hour to prepare."
"Alright, see you soon sis."
With that, the call was ended. Samara sighed and fell on her bed. This was the worst timing ever. Last night she found out her powers were created by an old curse, destined to destroy the Royal Family. And on top of that, all the love she had felt for Palladium seemed to come forth from the same curse. And now she had to go back to Eraklion and see her parents again. Should she mention this all or just ignore it? Do they even know about all this?
There was a knock on the door.
"Samara, we're going downstairs for breakfast, wanna come?"
The door opened and Flora popped her head into the room.
"Uhm I don't have time for that, I just received a call from Sky, I need to get ready to leave for Eraklion in an hour." Samara said.
"What, why?"
Flora walked in and sat on the bed next to her. Samara explained the whole story.
"But you can't go on your own!" Flora said. "I'll go with you."
"No you had that date with Helia on Red Fountain remember?"
"He'll understand, this sounds way too dangerous to do on your own, besides there is this beautiful flower on Eraklion that is in bloom right now."
Samara laughed. "Alright than, I would like to have some company."
There were footsteps coming closer and Bloom walked in as well.
"I talked to Sky on the phone, I'm going to Eraklion too."
"But what about the Codex on Red Fountain?" Samara asked.
"The others can handle that, I already informed them." Bloom said. "Tecna already worked on a technical defense last night."
"Okay if you're sure, I have to get a move on though."
Samara walked towards her closet, opened it and pulled her Royal Dress out. Unfortunately pieces of her opening ball dress came along with it.
"Is that your dress?" Bloom asked as she picked up a piece of dark blue fabric.
"Uh…"
"Oh dear what happened to it?" Flora asked also picking up a piece.
"It…got caught between the door." Samara lied. "I didn't realize it and walked to the other side of the room and it ripped…"
Her voice started to shake a bit, memories of that night coming back.
"Perhaps we can take it to the small shop and ask the woman if she can fix it?" Bloom asked.
Samara shrugged. "We'll see, but first I need to get into this dress."
Flora and Bloom left the room and Samara changed. By the time she was done there were only ten minutes left. She walked into the livingroom to find the other Winx sitting on the sofa and the two chairs.
"Ready to go?" Flora asked with a smile.
"That depends, are you guys sure we can go?"
She looked at the other four Winx.
"Sure, we've got it all covered." Layla said. "Stella and Musa will keep a look out for anything out of the ordinary and Tecna and me will help with the defense."
"Good, this shouldn't take too long." Samara said. "Save Diaspro from some clowns and get the hell out of there…"
"You don't seem too happy to return to your home planet." Layla said.
"Yeah well…there's not much to see there."
Samara's phone went off once.
"Sky's here, let's go."
The Winx wished each other luck and Samara, Flora and Bloom went outside. Sky was waiting for them with a small craft from Red Fountain. He was pulling the at the neck of his Royal Suit.
"Hello there handsome." Bloom said as she kissed him on the cheek.
Samara looked over her shoulder towards the rooftop where she and Palladium had met last year. If it was not for the sunlight blinding her once again, she would have noticed a lone figure standing there watching her.
"Ready to go home sis?"
Samara turned back to see Sky looking at her. Flora and Bloom were already inside.
"Yeah…let's get this over with."
They both entered the craft and Sky made sure to leave as quick as possible.
"So what is this flower you hope to see Flora?" Samara asked.
"Aportis Abboral!" Flora said with a glint in her eyes. "It is extremely rare and difficult to obtain."
Flora went on and on about the flower and what it could be used for and before they knew it, the craft made a smooth landing just in front of the palace of Eraklion.
"Home sweet home!" Sky said.
"I can't believe I am actually meeting your parents." Bloom said nervous.
"It'll be fine." Sky said. "They're going to love you."
All of them exited the craft and walked through the large frontdoor into the hallway. Immediately several guards approached them.
"It's alright!" One of them shouted. "Prince Sky and Princess Samara have arrived!"
All the other guards went back to their stations.
"Follow me please." The guard said. "The King and Queen are waiting for you."
"Wow talk about security…" Bloom whispered.
The four of them followed the man into a long throne room. On the other side of the room, just in front of a large decorated window, were two thrones. A strickt looking man and woman sat in them.
"Ah finally!" The man said.
"We came as fast as we could father." Sky said.
"And you've brought company I see?" The woman asked raising an eyebrow.
"Yes mother, this is Flora, our friend." Sky said. "She is here to help us save lady Diaspro."
"I see, that is highly appreciated but quite unneccesary." The Queen said. "Our forces can handle this on their own."
"Than why did you ask for us?" Samara asked.
"You and your brother are part of Eraklions forces." The Queen said sharply. She turned her head to Bloom. "And who is this?"
"Uhm this is Bloom mother, she…" Sky took Bloom's hand in his own. "She is my girlfriend."
The King and Queen looked shocked and glanced at one another.
"Girlfriend?" The King repeated.
"Yes and she is here to help as well." Sky said with a bit more confidence in his voice.
"We will discuss this later son, right now the Duke and Duchess are incredibly worried about their daughters well being." The Queen said.
"Who kidnapped her?" Bloom asked. "Do you know them?"
"No but it seems that they have some hatetred against the Royal Family." The King said. "They thought that lady Diaspro was the princess and therefore kidnapped her."
"A reasonable mistake." The Queen added harsh.
Samara huffed.
"Do you have anything that belongs to Diaspro?" Flora asked quickly, seeing Samara's face turn sour.
"Yes, we found this near the place where she was last seen." The King said and he handed her a bracelet.
"Excellent, we can do a locating spell." Flora said.
"Oh yeah like Palladium showed us last year." Bloom said.
"Let's go to work than." Samara said. "The sooner we found her the better."
She turned around and walked out of the throne room, hearing Sky say goodbye to their parents.
Flora and Bloom immediately started the spell. Samara and Sky looked around the palace garden.
"They kidnapped her over there." Sky said as he pointed towards the gazebo.
"What was she doing here anyway?" Samara asked.
Sky shrugged.
"So…you telling mom and dad about Bloom went well…"
Sky's face turned red. "I don't care what they think."
"Yeah you do, just a bit." Samara teased her brother.
"Just wait until you have to have that conversation with them." Sky said.
A shot of grief hit her heart.
"Yeah well…I don't see that happening any time soon." She mumbled.
Suddenly a bright light appeared. Both of them turned around. The bracelet was hovering between Flora and Bloom, shining bright.
"It worked!" Bloom said.
The bracelet began to move forward, towards the trees at the end of the garden.
"Alright than, let's find ourselves a damzel in distress." Samara said.
