Pain. That was all his mind could register. His entire body felt restricted. Palladium groaned as he forced himself to think. The last thing he could remember was Samara standing in front of him as he was caged by dark magic. And then everything went dark. But wait…Samara would never attack him…It was another fairy pretending to be her…If only his mind wouldn't be so slow.

"He's waking up." Stormy said as she watched from outside the cell.

"That's okay, there is no way he can break free from lord Darkar's curse." Icy said.

"Than why do I need to guard him?" Stormy asked annoyed.

"Because lord Darkar needed us for an important mission." Darcy said as she flicked her hair behind her back.

"Bye bye sister." Icy said laughing as she and Darcy walked out of the dungeons.

Stormy growled as she turned back to the unconcious elf.

"Lord Darkar you needed us?" Icy said in a soft tone as she and Darcy entered Darkars throne room.

"Yes, it is time for drastic action." Darkar said from his throne. "Celena managed to get the elf here faster than I thought she would." "The people of Alfea cannot know something happened to him, therefore you will pretend to be him Darcy."

Darcy made a face of disgust. "What, I need to pretend to be some dorky elf?" "For how long?"

"For as long as neccesary!" Darkar yelled.

Darcy shrunk at the loud voice and nodded. "Yes…yes my lord."

"You will leave immediately."

Darcy snapped her fingers and transformed into an exact copy of Palladium. Darkar raised his arms and in a flash of red and black, Darcy was gone.

"How did you do that?" Icy asked.

"I have transported her to the forest of Alfea, she'll need to walk the rest of the way to the school." Darkar said. "My spy will let het inside.""Now as for you…"

Icy couldn't help but shiver a bit.

"We need to get our hands on the Codex piece of Pixy Village."

….

"What time did you get back to the dorm?" Bloom asked. "It took you so long that we all went to bed."

"I didn't even hear you go to bed." Layla said.

Celena did not look up from her scrambled eggs. "I don't know, lost track of time I guess."

"What were you doing out so late?" Flora asked worried. "It's nothing like you."

"I wanted some peace and quiet just like I would want to have now." Celena hissed. "Didn't know I would have to answer to you about my whereabouts."

Flora gasped at the rudeness and quickly focussed on her strawberry pancakes.

"We have to hurry." Tecna said as she took the last spoon of cereals. "Faragonda's test remember?"

The rest of the Winx groaned collectively. As they made their way to the classroom, they crossed paths with professor Palladium as he entered the hall through the frontdoors. Celena's eyes met his for a second.

"Come come girls, take a seat." Faragonda said as the Winx entered the classroom. "Let's not waste any time and head straight to the test."

"Bloom and Stella, you first."

The two girls walked to the front of the room.

"Remember, you have to open the box using a combination of your magic." Faragonda said.

"Well…here goes." Stella said.

She raised her hand and a ray of sunshine fell on the metal lock. Bloom also raised her hand and tiny little flames combined with the sunlight. The metal lock began to melt slowly.

"Steady…" Stella whispered.

Suddenly the box caught fire.

"Oh no not again!" Bloom said.

The entire box was now ablaze and after a few seconds there was nothing left but ashes and the still locked metal lock.

"Well…let's leave it at that for the moment." Faragonda said as Bloom and Stella retreated to their table with their heads held low. "Who's up next?"

Musa and Layla walked to the front. Layla conjured her morphix into strings and Musa used soundwaves to make the strings move. Unfortunately the soundwaves were too much and the morphix blew up in their faces. Faragonda sighed as the girls tried to get the pink stuff out of their hair.

"Flora, Samara, please show me some positive results." Faragonda sighed.

Flora created small vines. Celena rolled her eyes and created moonlight from the palm of her hand. The vines grew in the light and went inside the lock, unlocking it with a soft click.

"Wow that was much faster than all the other times we practised!" Flora said.

"Very well done." Faragonda said. "You haven't earned your Charmix yet Samara?"

"Not yet headmistress." Celena lied.

"Alright then, onto the next group." Faragonda said with a small frown.

After Tecna electrocuted her teammate, Faragonda stopped the lesson and told everyone they had a long way to go, in the process providing everyone except Flora and Samara with lots of homework.

"Off to the library it is…" Musa said.

"I cannot focus without having lunch first." Stella complained.

They walked downstairs into the hall.

"What do you want to do this afternoon?" Flora asked. "We could join the others and start on our homework for Avalon."

Celena was just about to respond when a small ball of blue light entered through the front doors and flew straight towards them.

"Help help I need help!" A pixy screamed.

The pixies that had bonded with the Winx, all except for Samara, came out of their fairies bags.

"What's wrong?" Locket asked.

"The village…it's under attack!" The pixy said while catching her breath. "A witch with ice powers suddenly appeared."

"Icy!" Bloom growled.

"How did she find the village?" Layla asked. "That should be impossible."

"A professor from the school was in the forest and he got sick." The pixy said. "I needed to help him and flew straight to the village to the tree of life."

"Oh Livy!" Amore scowled. "You know that is forbidden!"

"She did what she thought was best, but what's done is done we need to get there now!" Layla said.

They all transformed into their fairy form.

"And what do we think we're doing?"

"Oh no…" Stella groaned.

Griselda marched towards the group.

"We need to go miss Griselda." Bloom said. "Pixy Village is under attack!"

Griselda huffed. "Please, Pixy Village is perfectly hidden from any intruders."

"That's not true, this pixy came to warn us!" Layla said.

"Nobody leaves the schoolgrounds until the headmistress is informed." Griselda said.

"Alright you do that and we'll just pop out and save the day like always." Stella growled.

"This will get you detention miss Stella!"

The Winx didn't respond but instead flew out of the school towards the forest.

"Won't we get in serious trouble?" Flora asked.

"This is more important, I cannot believe we wasted time talking to her." Bloom said aggitated.

Griselda watched as the seven fairies flew out of sight. A purple glint crossed her eyes.

"Almost there." Layla said as they flew past some big boulders covered in moss.

"How come no one can ever find the village?" Tecna asked.

"Only someone who is been told by a pixy can find it." Layla said.

They flew around some thick trees and stopped.

"Oh no…"

The entire village was covered in ice. Stella took out her scepter.

"Rays of sunshine!"

The ice melted and one by one the pixies emerged from their homes.

"Ninfea!" Layla said as she fell on her knees in front of a pixy. "What happened?"

"She was too strong for me." Ninfea said with tears running down her cheeks.

Celena smiled at the sad display.

"I tried everything I could."

"We know you did, try to get some rest." Layla said.

"So the Trix have another piece of the Codex…" Tecna said. "That leaves the one on Alfea."

"We need to get back, Faragonda needs to know what happened." Bloom said.

"I'm staying here to make sure all the pixies are okay." Layla said.

The rest of the Winx flew back to the school as quickly as possible. Instead of knocking, Bloom opened the door of Faragonda's office. She was talking to Avalon.

"Yes I think that might be best for…heavens girls!"

The headmistress stood up from her chair as the six fairies barged in.

"Sorry headmistress but we have to let you know it was Icy!" Bloom said.

Celena winked at Avalon with an excited glint in her eyes letting him know their plan worked.

"What are you talking about Bloom?" Faragonda asked.

"The attack on Pixy Village."

"What attack?"

"Didn't Griselda inform you?" Tecna asked.

Faragonda clapped her hands and a few minutes later Griselda came through the door.

"You called headmistress?" She asked.

"Yes, did you speak to these girls about Pixy Village today Griselda?"

The woman looked confused at the fairies.

"No I spend the entire day in my office preparing worksheets for detention this afternoon."

"Can anyone vouch for that?" Stella asked hands on her hips.

"Miss Stella I am the one asking questions here." Faragonda said sternly.

"What is going on headmistress?" Griselda asked.

"It seems…that Alfea has an intruder." Faragonda said with a slight shiver in her voice. "Someone has been pretending to be you."

"But why Griselda?" Musa asked.

"To keep us away from Pixy Village long enough for the Trix to steal the Codex." Tecna said. "And it worked."

"So all we need to do is find the second Griselda." Flora said.

"Not if the intruder changes appearance." Bloom said. "We don't know who we are looking for."

"Griselda, assemble everyone and I mean everyone to the courtyard and order them by class." Faragonda said. "We'll find the intruder as soon as possible."

She turned to the Winx. "Be on the lookout for any double face."

The Winx nodded and went outside.

"Oh and Griselda…"

"Yes headmistress?"

"Don't tell anyone what is going on, from this moment we cannot trust anyone inside these walls."
