Secrets 17-I see, you see, we all see

A/N: Looks like it's coming back! Thank you kkimberly49 for the great ideas, it has helped me start again. I'm feeling the blockage slowly dissipating. I'm once again visualizing my next chapter. The closing of the house was quick and exact. Liv had already started the process of ordering furniture for each room. By the middle of the following week everything was delivered and in place and the move was complete. Liv had taken time off from work now that Abby was on board. She had more help and could take off more time. Abby fitting right in was the missing piece she needed, so she thought. The boys had no problem following her lead and she had no problem following Liv's lead.

To no one's knowledge a secret was brewing. One that could cause huge problems for OPA and Olivia. It appears Abby had not learned her lesson, and envy was taking root. The power and liberty Liv has afforded her was going to her head. In some ways she envied Liv and wanted to be her. Liv seems to have it all. The successful business, the perfect man in which she is having a baby with, trust-worthy people around her, and big-time clients that made her millions. She even gifted Abby a free range of her previous home, not asking for a dime. You would think Abby would be forever grateful and envy would be the last thing secretly hidden inside of her best friend. That also was a problem, Jay had taken the best friend position and she hated it.

Huck quickly picked up on the immediate change in Abby two weeks of her working with them. Stephen was too love struck to see anything. Harrison figured she was still adjusting understanding the abuse she has been through. Jay on the other hand was ready to rid of her all together, especially after she tried to powerwalk her way and take over a client Liv specifically requested, only he deal with in her absence. Two weeks in and Abby was showing her true colors. Either she could not handle all the gifts that Liv had graced her with, or she was a truly envious, ungrateful person. He would keep his eye on her, and if necessary, fire her ass on the spot and deal with Liv later. Lucky for her she backed down after he and the client strongly informed her of his VIP (Liv and Jay's clients only) status and that her help was not needed.

Liv and Fitz new home was complete. They had decided to throw a gathering and invite family, staff, and friends to enjoy their new start in life. Fitz of course decorated and furnished the back patio. The newly decorated lawn furniture and grill was to die for. Liv decorated every room in the house including Fitz office and man cave with his input of course. The large kitchen had sliding doors that led to the backyard had such an open view. The nursery was set up with green and yellow for their new son's arrival. Everyone fell in love with their new home.

"Damn Liv this home is more beautiful than the one I'm in. Can we trade." Jokes Abby, but was she?

"And give up my new start. Nope. But you're welcome to find somewhere else to live." Liv tosses back only half joking herself. She did not like the statement and her comment was to stop Abby in her tracks, letting her know that she caught her underline meaning.

Liv knew Abby well and even though she agreed to help her, she still did not truly trust her. Liv believe in…fool me once and that is on you. Fool me twice and I will ruin any chance of there being a third time. Liv was no fool, but she was a true friend and believed in giving people second chances. This will be Abby's last.

The doorbell sounds before Abby could respond and Liv excused herself to answer. Fitz was also headed towards the front entry as he too heard the doorbell. Liv opens the door. "Hello, I'm Quinn Fitz's personal assistant." Fitz steps up "Welcome Quinn, this is my fiancé, Olivia."

Liv steps to the side "Nice to meet you Quinn, please come in." Quinn steps inside. "Welcome to our home. Everyone is out back. Let me show you around." Fitz offers.

He and Liv show her around. She compliments Liv's and her beauty and pregnancy before joining the rest outside on the patio and around the pool. Fitz introduced her to everyone she may not have known.

The evening continues and everyone is enjoying themselves. Everyone continued congratulating the couple on their new start, the engagement, the pregnancy, and the new home, when Abby jumps up placing her hand on Fitz shoulder "I'd like to give a toast. To my best friend and her new-found man." She turns and look at Fitz "Best wishes to you both." Everyone raises their glasses, but Abby eyes never left Fitz causing him slight discomfort. He thanks her and moves out of her reach walking around the other side of Liv before leaning down and kissing her on the mouth.

Quinn picks up on it "Bitch." She softly states to herself not knowing that Jay heard her. He also picked up on it and the fact that Abby was constantly staring at Fitz when she thought no one was looking. This bitch is trying her luck. She can look but she better not touch. He thinks to himself.

The evening turned to night as people started to trickle out. Fitz parents had said goodnight to the couple and headed home. Quinn noticed Abby talking to Fitz after he seen his parents out. Liv was out back with Jay and her team cleaning up. Fitz appeared uncomfortable, so Quinn intervened "Hey Abby, right?" She interrupts

Abby leans back and looks at Quinn and answers "Yes." Fitz sees his escape and walks away. Abby constantly finding moments to talk to him about him and Liv was becoming bothersome. He would speak to Liv about it before he checked her in. Once Fitz was safely headed out back, she begins. "I don't know what you think you're doing but he's off limits. I see you and believe me when I say this, you are not the competition, but you will be sorry, if you keep pushing up on my boss." And with that she walks away.

Abby is starting to rethink her uncontrolled behavior and head home. She needed to take a minute and regroup. In her mind once a cheater always a cheater and according to Liv he cheated on his wife with her, and Abby's excuse was to prove it to Liv. That was her excuse, she was just looking out for Liv, but a part of her was looking out for herself but some were picking up on the real reason, she wanted what Liv had. Abby says her goodbyes and the reception was not very comforting as every simply said bye but didn't really acknowledge her but continued what they were doing.

Once she was gone Jay locked the front door and returned outside taking his seat next Harrison. Just as he's about to speak Liv interrupts. "I already know Jay…I see, you see, we all see. Abby is up to something and flirting with my man, he told me. Huck also has been keeping me updated on her behavior at the firm in my absence. I got this. I got her. I was planning on waiting to speak with her but after her behavior today, and her disrespect I will be shutting her down. Tomorrow Fitz and I have another doctor's appointment. Huck, I want all the locks and security codes changes on my home. I want her things removed as well and brought to the office. Leave them downstairs. Can you handle that?"

"Done." He answers

She continues. "Jay please prepare her first and final paycheck for work done and ready on my desk by the end of day tomorrow. I will take it from there." He nods with a smile. "Stephen, I see you have a small boy crush, and you do with that what you want. I will not stand in the way of that. Just be careful. Loyalty, is very important in this family." Stephen opens his mouth to speak but stops and nods. "Harrison thank you for keeping an open mind, but you must trust your gut the first time when you feel something is not right." She then looks over at Quinn. "Quinn, welcome to the family. Thanks for the save in there on Fitz behalf. Abby definitely would have used it to her advantage if she ever had one."

"No problem. Fitz is my boss and a good man. Since meeting you he has been happy, and it shows in the office. He talks about you all the time. I don't know the length of Abby and your relationship, and didn't care, she was doing way too much, and I had to say something to let her know I saw her."

Fitz is stunned silent. He can't believe how fast Liv came up with this. She must have been planning this from the first time he shared with her about Abby's behavior and flirting with him.

Two weeks ago….

Fitz had been leaving the office after picking up some paperwork for Liv, as well as her second computer when Abby spotted him inside. She waltzes up to him stopping next to him. Hey handsome. She states while running her hand seductively along his shoulder. What brings you here? Meee, I hope. It wasn't a question but a statement but then she quickly laughs it off after seeing the distain in his face when as he watched her hand as it trailed along his shoulder down his arm. Just kidding, how's Liv? I'm sure you're here on her behalf.

Liv is fine. He firmly states tucking the computer and files under his arm before turning to leave. Well, I know you and Liv are still new at this, be sure to call me if you need someone advice or just someone to talk to. Liv's not much of a talker. She tends to keep things close to her chest. I can keep a secret.

Fitz was about to lose his patience when Stephen cluelessly walks in "Hey Fitz, hey Abby are you ready to head out?" With the interruption Fitz was able to calm down and continue on his way after speaking to Stephen. He immediately informs Liv when he arrived back home.

"Hey babe. Thank you for retrieving my computer and files for me." She offers as he leans down to kiss her on the lips

"It was no problem love, but I must say Abby offered with a bit of flirtation her services to me." Liv head whips up "In what way?"

"Well according to her because we are new to this relationship thing." Using finger quotes to bring home his point "I can call her for advice or just someone to talk to because you are not much of a talker and keep things close to your chest. She also stated she good at keeping secrets." Liv mouth falls open as she stares up at him. "Liv had Stephen not come into your office, Abby would have felt a serious verbal assault. Are you sure this chic is your friend? She was being way too friendly." He shivers at the memory of her touching him. "I don't like her, but I will respect her because she's your friend."

Liv stands and wraps her arms around his neck, giggling. "I'm sorry baby. She has been doing a whole lot more than that lately. She's been feeling herself a great deal lately. Wheeling around her in her super cape as if she is me. I get the feeling the green-eyed monster has made her appearance." She steps back after kissing him on the lips. But now she's over-stepped and I will handle her in time." She returns to her seated position and looks up at him with a perplexed expression. "She really tried her hand in flirting with you?"

Fitz plops down next to her somewhat perplexed himself. "Yeah, she really did and almost got checked for it, but my question is why are you not mad?"

"Fitz, our baby is way more important, then letting someone who I've extended my help to, stress me out. Just knowing you came to me with this and was willing to get into it with her, lets me know I chose the right man to marry. I know Abby like I know myself. This explains why she thought I was jealous of her and Charles, because she was projecting what she would do off on me. She always wanted to be me or like me, same difference. I was just hopeful she had changed after this experience with her ex, but I'm not surprised, just disappointed. Abby will be handled love. Know I trust you even more. Just try to not let her get to you. I have plans for her."

Present…

"Well baby since she's your friend, I will follow your lead." Fitz agrees

They finish cleaning and the team along with Quinn leaves after congratulating the couple again. Liv and Fitz retired to bed after a nice warm bath together.

The following morning, they showered and dressed for their OB appointment. Fitz prepared Liv a hardy breakfast that she devoured in minutes. "My god baby this food is so good."

"I see. You at her plate "Are you calling me greedy Mr.?"

Fitz studders "N…no no love, eat, eat as much as you want. I love that your appetite is good. I was just…"

"Putting your foot in your mouth." She states with a smirk as she interrupts him.

"Yes, love all 12 inches. But that not all I put in my mouth."

Liv looks up at him "Is it twelve my mouth says 10." Fitz loses control of his ability to swallow at her question "Are we still talking about my foot here?"

Liv begins to laugh as she stands walking up to him, slowly running her hand over his length print now clearly visibly at attention through his slacks "I've never had your 12 in foot in my mouth, have I?" His pucker for her kiss "Well for the record last time I measured it was actually 11."

Liv laughs harder and louder "Hahaha, you are such a man. Let's go before I jump you right here in our lovely new kitchen."

Fitz didn't move afraid he would explode right there in that moment. Liv turns back as she tapers her laughter "Are you coming dear. Shake a leg baby, we have somewhere to be." Fitz finally gets his two legs to move after readjusting his third one. "Woman you are going to be the death of me." He states while taking long strides to catch up to her finally feeling his hardness began to relent.

Within twenty minutes they arrive at the appointment and walk inside hand in hand. "Hi Olivia Pope, here to see Dr. Wilmington." She states

"Hello, Ms. Pope there's no waiting for you please come right back." The receptionist responds as she presses the unlock buzzard for the door. Liv and Fitz walk through and is led to the doctor's personal office where they are met by her sitting behind her desk. "Ms. Pope, Mr. Grant please come in and have a seat."

They take a seat as the receptionist closes the door. "Ms. Pope, Mr. Grant…"

"Liv and Fitz, please." Liv corrects

"Okay Liv and Fitz, I'm going to do a 3D ultrasound today. As I was going over your films from your previous appointment, which is something I always do. I notice something that I originally had not seen." Liv raises a brow and leans forward as Fitz intwines his fingers. "It's nothing bad, but something I just like to take a closer look at reason being I'm performing the 3D. It gives us a detailed look at your baby. I will also be drawing another round of blood to test your HCG levels again today. I just want to compare the numbers and see how much they may have risen, again there is no need for alarm, I just like to be very thorough in my testing."

Liv and Fitz look at each other then back at the doctor "Are you sure?" Liv questions as she allows Fitz to take her hand into his own. "Yes. I'm sure. So, if you ready we can go to the exam room and get started."

They exit the office and head down the hall to the exam room. Dr. Wilmington draws Liv's blood and send it to the lab. Liv with Fitz assistance climbs onto the exam table after removing her clothing replacing it with a paper gown. "Your stomach has grown quit a bit Olivia since your last visit."

"I know. Is that a good thing?" Fitz questions with sudden concern

"It's not a bad thing Fitz. You two just may have a large baby. Does large births run in either of your families?"

"I was 8 pounds at birth. Is that large?" Fitz shares

"No not at all that's average. What about you Liv?"

"I was on 7pound 6 oz at birth." A nervous Liv responds

"Mmm, well let's get started and see how big baby is."

They start the exam after she asks Fitz to turn down the lights. As they watch a very visual picture pops up on the screen. "Wow." Liv beamed "It's so clear." Fitz adds

"Mhm." Dr. Wilmington agrees as she continues moving the wand over Liv's stomach. Then she sees it. Her suspicion is confirmed. "Liv, Fitz remember earlier I said I noticed something on your previous film?"

"Yes." "Mhm." Liv and Fitz simultaneously vocalized

"Well, my suspicions were correct and explains why your stomach has grown at such a fast rate. There are two babies. You're having twins." She informs with pride

"What!" Liv roared with shock at the same time Fitz repeated the word Twins

"Yes! That explains your high HCG. The second baby is smaller and must have been hiding behind baby A. See here is baby A." She moves the wand over the heartbeat "And here is baby B." She repeats the same motion. "Baby A clearly a boy and let's see if I can see baby B's gender." She moves the wand to Liv's left side. "Ah, there we have it. Baby B is definitely a girl. She's a bit smaller but has a strong heartbeat and appears to be doing fine. We will know more after your bloodwork comes back. They both appear very health and right on schedule for fraternal twins. Two different sacs, one placenta. Oh, look they are holding hands." She quickly catches the picture along with several more of each baby.

Liv and Fitz are both left in shock and joy. Tears fall from both of their eyes as they stare at the ultrasound pictures of the babies. Nothing and no one could have prepared them for this news. Five months in and they have become the expecting parents of twins. Dr. Wilmington confirms that the HCG levels are rising in conjunction with a twin pregnancy and all the bloodwork was normal.

After redressing and asking a ton of questions Liv and Fitz prepares to leave, but before they do Liv and Fitz take a moment to themselves just basting in joy from the unexpected news.

As they arrive at OPA they both just sit in the car. Liv head is on Fitz's shoulder. Tears still falling from her eyes. "Twins." She whispers "Twins." He repeats softly as he wipes away using his thumb her fallen tears "Are you happy as I am?" Fitz questions "Yes I'm very happy."

Then Fitz surprises Liv with his next statement "Livvie, what if we do a gender revel at our wedding only then revealing the news of twins. It will shock and surprise everyone. I will be our little secret until then."

Liv lifts her head and smiles at this beautiful being of a man "So I really need to get a move on planning?"

"Yes love. I can have Quinn help out, since Ms. Abby will not be invited."

"I think your mother and Quinn will be just the help I need."

"So, we're in agreement?" He voiced needing confirmation

"We're in agreement." She sang

"Do you want me to come up with you?" He hinted

"It's up to you love." She uttered with a smile

"Together." He states taking her hand

"Together." She declared as she waited for Fitz to get out and walk around and open her door before walking into OPA together.

As they step off the elevator, they notice the team is in the conference area working. The sound of her heels clicking on the floor alert everyone to her arrival except Huck. He saw them pull up on the camera on his computer. "Hello everyone." Liv voices grabbing everyone attention

"Liv what are you doing here? Hey Fitz." Abby sings

Liv ignores the question and continues to her office with Fitz in tow. As she makes her way around her desk, she spots Abby's last check waiting for her. Fitz takes a seat on the sofa across the room as Abby struts in. She looks over at Fitz and smiles and then returns her attention to Liv. "Liv you didn't answer me. What brings you in. Is there a VIP coming or something?"

Pushing out an aspirated breath "No Abby." Was her only answer

"Hmm, okay well since you're here, I noticed my paycheck didn't hit my account. I was going to ask you about it later had it not come in by the end of day."

"That's because I have it right here. Your first and final payment since today will be your last day employed here."

Abby had to do a double take and make sure she heard Liv correctly. "Wait, what? You want to run that by me again?"

"I think you get the point. I have tried helping you Abby, and you continuously take my kindness as a weakness. You walk around here wheeling you super cape as if you're me. Defying all my instructions. You disrespectfully flirt with Fitz and try your hand in pursuing my fiancé in hopes to what? Get him to sleep with you, choose you over me, gain what I have. This is my baby. OPA, Fitz, the home you reside in, this team is all mines, and your ungrateful ass has been disrespecting all of it. You are still the same envious, jealous, conniving woman who accused me of wanting your man. The same man that I ended up saving you from and this is how you show your appreciation. Your personal belongings are downstairs and the locks to my home has been changed. Thank you for showing me who you are. As of right now your friendship is no longer needed."

Abby is stunned silent at first. "Look Liv, I didn't mean any disrespect. Jay and I just budded heads sometimes, and with Fitz I was just looking out for you. You barely know this man, and you're having a baby with him and giving him your total trust, I was just testing him to see if he would bite, but he didn't. I'm not envious of you. I was looking out for you. I swear. I now know Fitz is the real deal. He didn't take the bait and as far as working here, I may have overstepped, I did overstep but please Liv I'm not trying to take anything from you. I appreciate all you have done for me. Please give me a chance to prove it. I will move out of the house and get and apartment. I'll fall in line, or find other employment, but please don't push me out of your life? I am not trying to be you or take anything from you. I do respect you. I respect your relationship now knowing Fitz came to you and didn't hide my actions. I was just testing him I swear. I'm not after Fitz. I…I…I just…I fucked up Liv and I'm so sorry."

By this time the entire team is standing inside of Liv's office when Fitz speaks up. "So let me get this straight. You were testing me to see if I would sleep with you to prove to Liv, I'm a cheater?"

Abby turns to him with his question "I mean when you say it like that it sounds wrong."

"It is wrong Abby!" Liv retorts

"I'm sorry Liv. I'm sorry Fitz. Jay I'm even sorry for my behavior towards you. Liv please. I can live somewhere else. I can even find different employment, but I can't find another true friend. You are my only friend. Your more than a friend you're my sister. Please Liv and Fitz you have to believe me. I messed up. I went too far. I need you guys. You all are the only family I've got please forgive me." She pleads with tears streaming down her face

Jay is the first to speak up. Even though he didn't like Abby's bossy attitude he felt bad for her. "I forgive you Abby, you are about to make me cry." He embraces her in a hug

Liv exhales a breath before speaking "Look Abby, I just don't trust you right now, but I will not push you out of my life and my decision to fire and evict you from my home stands. No more hand-outs. No more flirting toward my fiancé. You will need to earn my trust back." Liv decided as Abby pleads pulled at her heart strings

She directs her eyes to Fitz, and he smiles with a nod of approval. Abby breaks down in relief as Stephen walks up to her and embraces her in a hug of his own. "You can stay with me." He offers with a whisper.

"I promise Liv, I will do whatever it takes." She offers as Liv walks with her final check in hand around her desk and hugs her as well prompting Harrison to do the same before handing it to her. Huck held his position and accept whatever Liv put in place. Fitz just patted her on the shoulder before pulling Liv into his embrace. "I told you, you have a big heart." She smiles and kisses him on the lips. "Shall we head home? We do have some wedding planning among other things to do." He whispers in her ear

Stephen helps Abby with her personal bags, and they proceed to his home. Fitz and Liv head home. The rest of the team goes back to business as usual.
