Welcome back! I hope you all enjoyed that last chapter and the semi-fluff that came with that. I don't want to promise anything in regards to the progress that will be made with Esdeath's and Black's relationship because honestly, these two are strangers to the romantic world. Completely and wholly. So, that being said there were no reviews for me to answer this time around. I encourage you all to leave a review if you have a question or suggestion or even just feedback you want to leave. I appreciate anything you would like to leave as long as it isn't death threats. Honestly speaking I'd rather not deal with anymore of those than I have to.

Now, let's begin again shall we?

BLACKICE

[1 Week Later, Northern Tribes' City-State, Medical Ward]

It had been one week since the man in black had attacked the city-state of the Northern Tribes. The death toll was horrific from the result of a single attack. The last he had heard the number was as high as 150,000…

Grunting in discomfort, the man adjusted his right arm's position so that the cast wouldn't interfere with the rest of his paperwork. Even though he had yet to be discharged, that wouldn't stop him from fulfilling his friend's duties while he was still stuck in that damned coma. His attention was distracted momentarily by more hellish screams from down the corridor. And with that he thought back to the sickly yellow ball that the man in black had unleashed upon the citizens of the Northern Tribes.

When he launched the attack it was as if time slowed down, the sinister orb was much faster than either of them had predicted and it managed to escape their guard. Those that suffered exposure to the light of the explosion appeared sickly, as if something was eating at them from the inside. At first the lead physicians and sages of the Tribes thought that it may be something related to a Teigu. However, that theory was quickly quelled when more than just the sickness started to change…

Danger Beasts that were exposed to the light were affected in the complete opposite. Those that were in-captivity from the beast-trading market had mutated over time into monstrous abominations and rampaged throughout the city-state while he was still recovering. Fortunately the Royal Escort, or what remained of the survivors of the elite assassin corps, tracked down the beasts and with great effort struck them down.

In a way, this was hell. Nothing could be offered to the families as consolation, the one who had brought this injustice down upon them had managed to escape. Scrunching his face in concentration, the man thought back to that night. He was positive that the monster was just toying with them in the end. It wasn't even a fight, it was a dragon toying with its meal right before the impending incineration.
A knock caught the man's attention as he looked up, there a medical officer stood in the doorway flanked by two of the Royal Escort. "Head Warrior Abdihall, the Hero of the North has awoken, he has requested your presence."

Rising from his position on the medical bedding, Kronos followed the three until they reached a room located in the Intensive Care Wing. Heading inside, Kronos noticed that while Numa had indeed awakened, he was still in poor condition. Numa pushed himself upward to get a better look at Kronos. "I see, so we were both injured by that attack…"

Kronos shook his head and scanned over the heavily damaged form of Numa. "Aye, but nothing like what you took, considering you did take the front of the blast for me." Numa only chose to laugh weakly before bursting into an uncontrollable fit of coughing. "That may be so, but I would do it again in a heartbeat friend." Kronos walked over to Numa's bedside and gently laid his hand upon his left shoulder. "So what now Numa?"

Numa glanced up at the ceiling, and with a great effort he lifted his only working arm to point towards the ceiling. "Now?" His fist clenched. "I'll kill him… I'll kill this 'man in black'..."

"If it's the last thing I ever do."

BLACKICE

[Rose Island, Black Ocean, Unknown Region, Black's Cabin]

It had been one week since both he and his company had been transported to this island, and although he knew he could depart at any time, he had instead chosen to make this his own haven. Looking around the Cabin, Black was satisfied enough. This would serve perfectly well as a sort of permanent residence that would keep him happy. As for his guest… he wouldn't be able to speak for them. They seemed to still be adjusting to the technology that he had been able to recreate from his previous reality.

Speaking of which, Esdeath had been stuck to the 'television' for the past week. She was determined to lounge around and study the device and it's secrets. Black lightly snorted, that 'television' was a recreation of the 'GodTube viewing device' that he and Gowasu used to watch 'GodTube', an interdimensional streaming service that allowed them to view other realities at a whim.

And it would also be his luck that Esdeath was able to locate the reality that was the Goku's that had defeated him. He recoiled in unease at the thought, he did not wish to dwell on that past. He had acted swiftly and immediately swapped channels to a random reality which served to distract Esdeath long enough.

Looking over at Esdeath, who now laid at the end of the living room's couch, he let out a sigh. If he had any comments about how her attitude had changed since they arrived on the island, it would be that she was becoming more 'laid back'. Not that this was a problem necessarily, and it wasn't that she refused to put forth effort into her day. No that was not the problem in the slightest, early in the mornings and late into the afternoons she would train in her usual fashion. Although what had been an issue was attire.

A guest under a god's roof should never be forced to wander around in tattered rags and whatnot, which to Black's surprise had been the first issue. After Black's pseudo-kidnapping of her he had realized that when he slammed the woman through the landscape of the North it had destroyed her clothing entirely. Now, normally he would have just used [Magic Materialization] to have fixed her outfit. She, however, denied that. Esdeath had explained that since her disappearance, her armies would no doubt believe her dead.

[5 Days Prior]

"No? What do you mean no? A god is offering to fix your clothing, why would you decline that?" Black stared at Esdeath as if she had grown fifteen heads at once. She was definitely a strange specimen. Esdeath just shook her head. "I mean no because of exactly why I do not need these clothes any longer." When Black didn't stop staring in bewilderment Esdeath sighed and sat down on the couch. "It's because my forces now believe me to be dead. I recognized that man who had ambushed you in the cave that night, that was Prime Minister Honest's son. His name is 'Syura', and I can tell you this much. He is no friend of mine."

Black began to piece the situation together, it finally began to make sense why they were both sent away in the middle of a siege no less. "I see, he was trying to remove you from the political equation entirely, I assume you are at odds with these two?" Esdeath shrugged, "You could say that, Honest had been looking for a way to dispose of me now for some time so that he can collect the allegiance of my garrisons. By faking my death, Honest now is in possession of the largest militaristic faction of the Empire, possibly the world…"

Esdeath looked back from the strange device to Black once more. "Then you see, I do not need these clothes any longer. I plan on staking the claim of my death to be as plausible as possible. I will then enact my own plan to take my personal revenge against that walking heart disease in human form. And then eventually his son of course."

Black interjected on that note. "Ah, him? He is no longer alive." Esdeath raised an eyebrow. "He isn't alive anymore due to the nature of the technique I used on him, that was [Divine Lasso], a technique that pierces the enemy before detonating." Esdeath didn't comment on that, instead she opted to start clapping. "That sounds like a wonderful technique, I hope you don't mind if I borrow inspiration for that sometime my lord." Esdeath added a little wink at the end. Black immediately turned around and stalked out of the living room. Grumbling something about 'unbelievable mortals' as he walked away.

But Esdeath this time around didn't miss the pink dusting Black's cheeks. This caused something inside of her to throb once more. Placing an arm over her chest, Esdeath went back instead to look directly at her reflection in the strange device. What was that? And why was she plagued by it every time she was around Black? Suddenly her thoughts went back to the novels she read whilst in the Capital... and then her eyes widened in shock. "I...Is this...love?" Immediately shaking her head, Esdeath tried to clear her mind. No, if this was love, then she needed to be 100% positive. She would not put herself in a position where Black was angered to the degree he was last time. If this acted as another potential trigger of 'mortals' then she didn't want to even think about what he would do in another rampage.

Esdeath returned her ire to the 'television' in front of her, glaring holes into it. "I will figure out your secrets, magic box."

[Present]

Black was busy making fresh tea when Esdeath groggily stalked into the kitchen. The smell of the tea immediately being picked up by Esdeath, who watched on as Black finished. "I still don't understand how you can be so good at something as simple as brewing tea, yet you still can't figure out exactly how to cook meat correctly." Black looked over his shoulder at Esdeath who was now wearing her new-favorite outfit. T-Shirts and shorts seemed to be among Esdeath's new favorite wardrobe. Whether it was due to the comfort or ease of movement, Black didn't know.

"I'll have you know that you have us gods to thank for meat to begin with Esdeath, don't overlook that." Esdeath popped up at that, "Did...you just use my name?" Black finished the brewing and moved to prepare cups for them both. "Of course, I couldn't just keep referring to you as 'you' or 'human', it is unbefitting of a god to disrespect a guest in his own household to that degree." Esdeath leaned back against the counter and reached out to grab her own cup.

"I suppose, it just seems odd that you would address me so casually… with you still insisting on your 'godhood' and all that." A vein throbbed on Black's forehead. "It's not 'insisting'..." Esdeath walked around to the opposite end of the counter and set her cup down. "Says you, you're the one making these claims to begin with." Black brushed that comment off and chose instead to sit at a nearby stool to finish his tea.

At this moment, Esdeath's stomach decided to remind both occupants of the room that she was indeed still human as a growl escaped in a low whine. Esdeath looked down for a few moments before looking back up to face Black with an expecting look. "Well?" Black snorted and gave a half-lidded gaze back at Esdeath from his point of relaxation. "Hmph, silly mortal needs. I may brew tea as a relaxant, but at least gods don't need to eat." Black's stomach then reminded him too that while he was a god, he was in a mortal body. An even greater growl escaped Black's stomach. Esdeath gave a sly smirk to Black. "So you don't need to eat? Really convincing there Black…"

Black's vein popped back up to the surface. "...All of the gods except for me…" Confused by this statement, Esdeath was about to question it when Black followed up with, "That is because I am a Saiyan." Esdeath finally interjected with her own question, "Saiyan? What's a Saiyan? Sounds like a foreign tribe to me…" Black snorted seemingly amused from that. "You aren't technically incorrect, although you aren't right either. The Saiyans are a warrior race that share a great deal of similarities in appearance with humans." Esdeath nearly choked on the tea she was sipping. "Wait...you aren't human? How come I've never heard of these 'Saiyans' before? If they were a warrior race then I would have heard of them or came across them in my conquests before."

Black finally stood up from his place at the stool, his cup empty. "It's because they are not from this world, Saiyans hail from the Planet Vegeta. And you should count yourself fortunate on not meeting one. The Saiyans are a race that cleanse planets of all life before selling them off." Esdeath froze on the spot. "So...you are telling me that you...are going to kill all of us off?" Black's sensed her despair the moment she froze and quickly moved to place his hands on her shoulders so she wouldn't make any desperate moves and destroy a part of the house in a frenzy to escape. "No I am not like the rest of the Saiyans, I am a god foremost. I suppose you could call me a [Saiyan God]. It wouldn't be an inapt description, as misleading as it might seem."

Esdeath calmed albeit slightly, she was worried that she was being played the part of a fool. Esdeath decided that growing used to his presence before being spooked into thinking that she was merely a distraction that would be tossed aside was not a fun feeling. "So, your little mini-slaughter fest in the North wasn't anything to do with killing all of us off? I am no fool Black, I know well that I cannot defeat you, I am nowhere near your level. I just don't enjoy the thought of being essentially cattle to a slaughter."

Black performed an amazing fusion between a scoff and a snort in disbelief. "I decided to slaughter those pathetic humans because of how they came across. That and I was...definitely still very upset after I was...defeated." Esdeath, for a second time since she had awoken that morning, froze in total shock. "You were defeated?" Black recoiled, he had said too much. "Perhaps I have said too much, but yes… I was defeated by three other Saiyans." Esdeath noticed this was a sore subject for the Saiyan God, so she instead opted to just push away from the conversation. "You don't have to tell me if it pains you Black, I've come to appreciate your company at the least. As a friend if you would." Black shot a shocked glance back at Esdeath. "A friend? I nearly killed you. Are you insane?" Esdeath gave a few coughs while looking away, the feeling that she had been trying to invalidate was returning. "Of course I am, which is why I have a great idea."

Black tilted his head in question. Esdeath turned back to face him with a smirk, her face returning to a normal coloration. "How would you like to actually have a taste of 'mortal' food?" Black, quickly remembering his own hunger, relented. "I'm listening…"

BLACKICE

[10 Minutes Later, Capital, Lower-Class Ward]

Black and Esdeath were both walking through the lower-class ward on their way to find a restaurant of good quality. The one's in the lower-wards seemed to always have better quality instead of felterring needlessly over 'styling' or 'premium ingredients'. Both of which had always irritated Esdeath to no end. Sure, there were better parts to consume from a creature, but the only difference really in the Capital was price. And seeing as she was to lay low from the Capital officials, this would be the perfect spot.

Speaking of laying low, Esdeath had opted to wear a long-sleeved shirt with her hair rolled back into a cap that seemed almost too big for her. Black however had no need to hide his appearance yet. As far as he knew there were no survivors he left from his encounters...unless one counted the partially destroyed city-state of the Northern Tribes. Although he was still sure that they and the Empire considered themselves both enemies. Esdeath took hold of Black's crossed arms and started pulling him towards one of the casual-diners by the name of 'The Boar Tooth'. "Come on Black, this is definitely going to sate your appetite. And hopefully earns a little divine approval too while we're at it. Eh?" Black snorted. "Oh come on, that one was decent at least." Black already knew he was going to dislike this…

[An Hour Later]

Let it be known Black was not too uptight to ignore when he was wrong, which is why he felt comfortable saying that besides dying to mortals, this was easily one of his other greatest misjudgments. Perhaps before he killed off humanity in his previous reality he should have considered keeping some of the finer-art practitioners around. Esdeath was in an amazing mood however, this was the first time in more than a month she was able to enjoy flavored meat again. In her march to the city-state a week prior, she had come to the unfortunate realization that Budo had borrowed her culinary-unit. Oh well, she supposed he was keeping them now.

Esdeath reattached her arms to Black and pulled him closer, at which Black blushed and turned to look away when Esdeath leaned in to whisper. "I know we should find a place for your technique to go unseen again." Black looked down at Esdeath again as if she were crazy. "You want to come back with me? Everytime you surprise me more and more, but this is just unexpected." Esdeath cackled quietly at that, "Of course, I can't just leave my favorite 'god' alone or I'll lose my entertainment." Using air quotes at the 'god' bit she was definitely amused when she saw Black's vein pop back to the surface. "Fine then, but don't blame me if I drop you face first into the sand when we get back." Black on one hand was relieved, which surprised himself. How soft was he growing? All because of this female human no less?

Black sighed to himself, questions for later, right now they needed to find somewhere where no eyes would be trained on them so that they could Instant Transmission out back to the island. Turning the corner they found one such alleyway where all outside view seemed to vanish completely. However, neither of them were prepared for what they turned the next corner to see. Once they turned the corner all Esdeath saw were two junkie-looking men with decaying clothes hovering over the form of a girl. She then spotted that they were stripping her bare, it didn't take a genius to guess what their next plans were. What did Black see? Well it's really simple.

He saw red

Vanishing forward into a velocity that rivaled when he slammed Esdeath into the hillside in the North, Black shoulder bashed the first man that was closer to the girl. Needless to say, he was not Esdeath. He was liquified on the spot and painted the entire alleyway-end in a deep crimson. Only just now comprehending what had happened, the second junkie tried to escape but was grabbed by Black before he could take another step. Black then viciously slammed the man into the ground again, and again, and again. Black ignored his frail cries for help and just kept slamming until he was holding a cracked spinal column with gore and organ matter caking where the disgusting mortal cretin not even moments ago had been begging for mercy that he would not receive. Once the deed was done he went to look back at the girl, she was unconscious but relatively unharmed.

Breathing a sigh of relief, Black took hold of her in a gentle carry and turned back to face Esdeath. When he finally locked eyes with her however, Black was struck wordless by the immense shade of pink that was now covering Esdeath's face. Esdeath seemingly noticed after a few seconds and turned to face away. Black decided that would be a topic for discussion later, now however? He had a plan to deal with this child. Walking up to Esdeath and touching her shoulder, and ignoring the small jump she gave, Black spoke two words that he hadn't in a long time, seeing as he had no hands free at the moment. ["Kai Kai"]. The three then vanished from the alleyway, where eventually someone would discover the brutal scene and lose the lunch they had just previously bought and devoured… so much for cleaning up one's own mess…

BLACK ICE

[1 Day Later, Rose Island, Black Ocean, Unknown Region, Black's Cabin]

It had been some time since they had arrived home to the cabin, Black had yet to speak to Esdeath about her reaction yesterday but he would come around to it soon. For now he was focused on healing the child's mind, Black had performed one of Goku's older tricks: [Mind Reading] and was disgusted with what he saw. The girl had arrived home from school to see a clown standing over the mutilated bodies of her parents. Turning forward in time a bit, he saw that she then ran for her life. Not stopping for a second over the cries of the clown back in her home for the 'little-angel to come out and play'. Then she was knocked unconscious by the men in a nearby alleyway and dragged inside. That was when Black and Esdeath arrived.

Black sat back in silence, a shadow falling over his eyes. What the fuck was this? What pit of degenerate hell-spawn did this humanity hail from? Black wasn't a saint, he accepted that his...methods… were not the epitome of kindness. Children were counted among the casualties he inflicted of course. But the darker aspects of the corruption of one's soul had always sparked rage inside of him. He would sooner evaporate a group of children before subjecting them to the hellish treatment this girl was going to recieve.

Black sighed, it was time he made a vow of course, like he had done with mortals in the previous reality. He looked down at the girl and looked inside her soul, there was nothing but light even after the dark pit she had been dropped into. Black then knew exactly what he was going to do. Black had never been a hero, and he didn't plan to be. That was for fools like Goku. He would instead erase the very darkness that drove him to wretch. To sate his own desires of a world without that breed of humanity within it.

"I am going to erase the filth of this world, and I'll bathe it in a glorious rose hell."

Hello all! Hope you enjoyed this chapter, before we end things off I would like to clarify a few things. Uno: Yes, Numa and Kronos are alive. Although nearly half of the city-state's occupants have been wiped out by Black's Black Power Ball. They are going to be a pretty straight-forward faction in this story. Dos: Black is becoming less and less resistant to the emotions that he has for Esdeath. He's spending more time around her and seeing different sides to her that he was not aware existed (hence the final bit). Tres: This 'girl' is going to be a part of the main cast now for this story. She is an OC that I am creating strictly for this story (also yes, that was Champ in her memories. Better start calling this a TellTale Story Game because Black will fuckin remember that). Now that we have that covered I hope you are all ready for some ultra-violence because these next few chapters are going to get gorey and descriptive! How fun! Anyways that about wraps things up, please remember to leave a review if you have any questions, comments, or concerns. And please consider leaving a favorite and follow so that you can catch us next time on Black Ice!
