Hi Everyone

Sorry for the late update but my mum was visiting and I don't get to see her all that often as she lives the other side of a country to me.

Anyway here's the latest chapter. As always, any feedback is appreciated but not expected xx

Chapter 2

The boys followed the 2 girls into the club, barely hiding their chuckles at Liana's complaining until she gave up, instead looking around the club and greeting regulars. The club itself was huge, deceivingly so considering it didn't look that big outside. The long hallway leading in had cloak rooms, a waiting area to call a taxi and the toilets, which allowed for more room in the actual club. There were 3 bars around the sides and back, with a recessed stage at the front. There were 2 sets of stairs at the end of the bars on either side near the stage, each with a bounder standing guard and a walkway spanning the length of the bar underneath. The girls led them upstairs explaining it was the VIP area and since they were the only VIPs they had in tonight so they had the bar up here to themselves.

Alyssa, who was in black jeans and a green halter top, had been explaining the design as they walked through and went on to explain the rules for the VIP areas once they were upstairs. Liana, meanwhile, had kept a watchful eye, even now leaning over the railing with a glare as she studied the crowd on the dancefloor. Just by watching, it was distinctive which of the 2 was more sociable but after witnessing how protective Liana was over her cousin, showed there was a reason for it. Alyssa looked as though she was nearly finished when Liana stood up straight.

"Alyssa stay up here for a bit," Liana called out before launching herself over the railing.

"She always like that?" Tyson asked.

"She's a lot better than she used to be. She's pretty protective as a rule but she's not had a lot of sleep this week," Alyssa answered, "I'm hoping she crashes after work and finally gets some sleep."

"Finally?" Max asked.

"She'll be at 48 hours when we finish. You won't even notice till then even with the stuff we do," Alyssa answered with a smile.

"She tried anything or seen a doctor?" Ray asked concerned.

"She's ok. She knows a lot of techniques to help and she'll work off any energy she can by running. She normally gets 4 to 6 hours on a good night and it's been like this for years so it's kinda habit. Anyway Lisa is going to be…"

"No she's not."

They all turned to see a man walking over to jon them. Tall, built, barely looked 30 but had similarities to both Alyssa and Liana.

"Where's Lisa?" Alyssa asked.

"In a cab on the way to the 'Safe Haven' house. Lisa's ex found her new place and tossed it before coming here to try knock her around. Apparently he didn't learn his lesson after his last one and…"

"Liana gave him another one. Must be why she jumped down."

"Well she'd just hauled a guy out for putting a date rape drug in someone's drink so she caught him on the way back in," the man stated, "Nice to meet you boys. I'm Alastair, owner of Elements and Alyssa and Liana's uncle."

"Nice place," Kai offered.

"Thank you. Though really it's the girls doing. It was a tip before we re-modelled. So Alyssa here will be up when she's not doing her usual. Liana's going to be here and there, and Josie will be up here serving when Alyssa isn't. If she has a fangirl moment, let Alyssa know or Liana will rip her a new one."

"No, she wouldn't," Alyssa argued.

"Alyssa, you know the girl is as mad about respecting privacy and space as she is protective. Even worse when all 3 can be combined or do I need to remind you about your stalker and what she did?"

"Uncle," she whined, "That was completely different and he's doing better now. She helps with his therapy sometimes."

"If you say so but that girl is single-handedly trying to save everyone. Speaking of, I heard from one of the men one of you stopped her from getting stabbed."

"That would be Kai," Tyson stated.

"Thank you. Liana's not one for looking after herself or looking out for herself."

"I wouldn't say that," Kai retorted.

Both Alyssa and Alastair looked stunned before smirking as the barmaid came up and went behind the bar. Alyssa ran off to go do something whilst Alastair studied the crowd below like Liana had. Tyson and Max were quick to get drinks and join in with the crowd dancing below after trying to get Kai and Ray to fess up how they'd meet the 2 girls. It wasn't long before Max and Tyson came back up and the music stopped. But instead of disappointment, there were cheers and the stage lit up showing Alyssa and Liana with a band behind them.

"You guys ready?" Alyssa asked, getting cheers in response, "Well you might want to clear some space on the dancefloor, we've got an extra treat for you to kick off this night in style."

Amazingly, the crowd moved out the way and Liana jumped down as a few people joined her. Then the band began to play. The team watched, completely enrapt as the 2 girls sang, with Liana and a few dancers doing a stunning fast paced routine. They carried it on for a further 3 songs, not showing any signs of fatigue. If anything, the more they did, the more energy they had. Tyson and Max migrated down to the dancefloor after the 1st song and even stayed to speak with Liana, until she spotted something, leaving them to come back up with Alyssa.

"That was awesome, do you do this every weekend?" Max asked.

"Yep. Liana though it would help attract more customer but she wasn't planning on it being us performing," Alyssa answered, "You 2 looked like you were having fun."

"I think this may be my new favourite place," Tyson answered making Alyssa laugh.

"How are you 2 finding the place?" Alyssa asked Ray and Kai.

"It's cool. Wasn't expecting you to be on stage," Ray answered, "How long have you and Liana done this?"

"Bout a year or two. We kind off inspired a few other clubs like this though so we have a bit of a group with them now. Any trouble makers get put on a watch list, anyone banned from one is banned from them all and Liana's been having to go to meetings lately to organise a joint event," Alyssa explained.

"Really? Like a Battle of the Clubs?" Tyson asked.

"I think it was more a showcase but she might prefer that idea."

They all talked about the club and came up with different event ideas, though Kai was just listening for a bit until he decided to look at the crowd below. He spotted Liana hiding her injured hand as she spoke to someone. Whoever it was, went off somewhere as someone else joined and handed her a first aid kit. She took it with her other hand and looked up at him gesturing for him to join her. No one noticed when he left the floor and he found her under the stairs talking to a server at the bar but she smiled when she saw him.

"Come with me, I need your help," she said, leading him through a hidden door to a sound proof break room.

"What am I helping with?" he asked as she sat on the table.

"I think I ripped a stitch and I need to change the dressing. Do you mind?"

"Let me see."

She pulled off the glove with a wince and he frowned seeing the bloody bandage. He took her hand gently, pulling the dressing off and inspecting it.

"You ripped 2 but it's not too bad. I think you need to lay off beating up assholes for the rest of the night," Kai informed, "How long has it been hurting?"

"Since I threw out the guy with the date rape drugs, he pushed his thumb in to try shake me off," she answered, hissing when he applied some anti-septic to the wound.

They stayed silent until he'd re-dressed it and helped her pull the glove back on, neither mentioning the position they were in, since he was between her legs.

"Thank you. I usually gey Alyssa to do this."

"Why not this time?"

"And mess up her chances with Ray? Fuck that. We keep to ourselves a lot, but she doesn't date or have friends because she doesn't want to leave me behind or to raise my sister on my own. She's just as protective of me as I am her but there's no point in sacrificing her own future and happiness to wait for me," she stated, "Besides, this is the happiest I've seen her in a while… and the most talkative she's ever been."

"She's not usually?"

"Oh we talk about anything and everything. But excited conversation about 'not a date' is new."

"She as obvious about her interest as he was?"

"You too? God they're a perfect match for each other," Liana joked, "You have to get him to cough up everything he learned about her?"

"Including favourite colours," Kai answered.

"Definitely a match. It's going to be hilarious when I steal my sister back after her class at the training centre in a few weeks."

"Time off?"

"Forced. They looked over the annual leave, sick leave & additional house and realised I hadn't taken any for a year. 2 full weeks off," she explained, "I'm surprised you haven't come down to the dancefloor yet. Figured you'd at least want to find someone pretty to have fun with."

"Meaning?"

"Guys usually want to find someone pretty to fuck so unless you decided to wait till marriage, I doubt you're celibate."

"I'm not most guys," Kai stated with a smirk as he stepped back and pulled her free hand to get her to stand, "If we stay here any longer, your staff, cousin and uncle might think otherwise though."

"I need to steal Alyssa anyway for the next set," she teased moving to leave the room, with a smirking Russian following closely.

For the rest of the night, the boys enjoyed themselves. Max and Tyson had continued to drink, going down onto the dancefloor for the next set. Ray had joined them at the end, snapping up a chance to dance with Alyssa. Liana came and went a few times, mostly to keep a tab on Max and Tyson as they progressed from tipsy, to drunk, to soon needing a cab back to the dojo and being tricked into drinking water. On the 3rd and final set by the girls, Tyson and Max were back to just a little drunk whilst Alastair joined them on the VIP floor, before joining the girls on stage to announce last call. They'd been told to hand back until the club was empty enough and clean up was underway, leaving Alastair to walk them out and help Max & Tyson into a cab.

"So, what did you boys think? Good enough to bring your friends to?" Alastair asked.

"I'll be recommending it to the other teams," Ray answered.

"You'll need more Russian vodka for 1 team," Kai added.

"Then you boys just earned a discount. We've got a special event on next weekend so the girls won't be performing. Tickets sold out 2 months ago but you'll be on the guest list," Alastair offered.

"Wouldn't miss it?" Ray answered as a server came up to them.

"What's up? Clean up done?" Alastair asked.

"We're just doing the re-stock now but Alyssa and Liana just slid down the stairs. I'm pretty sure Liana was starting to crash and Alyssa tried to keep her upright," the server explained.

"Good thing Little Miss is at their grandfather's this weekend," Alastair grumbled, "I'll…"

"We'll help," Ray offered, even though Kai was already heading back inside.

The server led them to the staff doors next to the back door and opened them, Liana was sat up on the bottom step, leaning against the wall asleep, whilst Alyssa was using the post as something to lean against to hold her ankle.

"Are you ok?" Ray asked.

"Yeah, just twinged my ankle, I thought you'd left already," Alyssa answered.

"We put the drunks in a cab already," Kai stated as he moved towards Liana, "She likely to wake up if I carry her back to your place?"

"Maybe halfway but you don't need to, I can…," Alyssa stated as she went to move forward only for her ankle to give, leaving Ray to catch her.

"Alyssa, let the boys help. You can't carry her back yourself," Alastair advised as he moved to help Kai so he could carry Liana on his back, "And I won't have to worry about you."

"You sure about this?"

"Positive," Ray answered as he took her bag, swinging it over his shoulder and then draping her arm over his shoulders and putting an arm around her back.

After a thank you and goodbye, they were back outside again, with Kai walking ahead since he already knew where they live, leaving Alyssa and Ray to talk. He could hear some of it, chuckling at how Alyssa told the story of what happened before tuning them out to listen to Liana's breathing. She was lighter than he was expecting but considering what he'd seen her do so far, he wasn't surprised. The walk was uneventful apart from Liana shifting her head to rest over his shoulder. They were halfway back when she stirred slightly.

"Where are we?" she asked tiredly, her arms moving to wrap round properly.

"Halfway home," he answered.

"Alyssa?"

"Ray's got her, he'll keep her safe," Kai answered, "Go back to sleep."

"Thank you," he heard her murmur in Russian as her arms went lax again.

He smiled, listening to her breathing even out again, showing down for Ray and Alyss to catch up. He wouldn't admit it aloud but he wanted this to last a little longer.

"She's ok?" Alyssa asked quietly.

"She stirred for a few moment but she's asleep again now," Kai answered.

Why they finally got to the gates. Alyssa was at least able to put some weight on her foot to unlock it and then again at the door of the house. It was larger than he expected with Ray commenting on the black and white colour scheme for the walls and furniture, and all the accessories being in purple.

"Where's Liana's room?" Kai asked.

"Over there. We converted the dining room into a bedroom so Kiyoko had a study upstairs," Alyssa answered pointing to the door near the back.

When we walked in he was surprised at the minimalism. A built in wardrobe to 1 alcove, drawers and shelves in another, leaving the queen sized bed to take up the majority of the room. Carefully he eased her down onto the bed and laying her down after. He took off her shoes and the glove off her hand before pulling the duvet over her. That was when he noticed tears on her face. He put a hand on his shoulder and didn't feel a wet patch. He knelt down and gently brushed them away before standing up and heading out the room. He was at the door when he heard her mutter stay. He crept over and held her hand for a minute, muttering back 'maybe next time' before slipping out the room.

"I can't believe she stayed asleep," Alyssa stated as he joined them after closing the door.

"She's crying in her sleep so I don't think she will be for long," Kai offered.

"Thank you for helping us get home."

"It's no problem. We'll see ourselves out so you can get to bed," Ray said as Kai walked out.

"I'll text you when I'm up," she said pulling him down to her level to kiss his cheek, "Thanks again."

Kai was waiting outside the gate smirking when Ray came out.

"Not a word!"

That's it for now
