He's certainly grown, I wonder how he looks now in his true form. thought the royal Twili to herself.

Link on the other hand could not believe his eyes. They finally gazed at the beauty of the Twilight Princess for the first time in years. Zelda and himself were the only ones that saw her true form, and she has only grown more in her beauty. While her sassy attitude was still present, she certainly has developed a more humane approach to people. His heart pounded rapidly inside his fur.

What should I say to her? It's been so long! How did she get here?! Link thought to himself.

"Excuse me for the informal encounter, my name is Midna, the ruler of the Twilight Realm," Midna said looking at the wolf's companion.

This made Samus' face ease up. She looked at Wolf Link who nodded in approval.

"Greetings, your majesty. My name is Samus, Samus Aran." replied the space warrior.

"Please, just call me Midna. I'm sure that if you are present with Link in the Twilight then he trust you just as much as he did with me. Also..." she said taking a step closer to her and examining her suit.

"...how did you acquire such as a suit? I've never seen anything like this before." stated the blue skin monarch.

"Some magic of Twilight fused with my power suit. I am now able to keep my physical body in the presence of Twilight, as confirmed by Link." she said looking at the blue eyed beast.

"Indeed..." said the crimson hair woman as she closed her eyes and held her hand up to Samus. In a couple of seconds, a bright bolt of magic formed between herself and the blonde hair woman as she examined her suit.

"Incredible, you must be truly special then." Midna said opening her eyes smiling at her. She still didn't know exactly how Samus looked like out of the suit yet, or where she came from, but that only sparked more curiosity from the monarch.

"Thank you, now you're just flattering me..." Samus said taking the compliment.

Wolf Link smiled upon seeing Midna take a liking in Samus. The red eye ruler turned to the giant scared beast and took a knee. She then proceeded to wrap her arms around his fur and hug him. Link immediately squealed as he did not expect Midna to embrace him so openly. Her sweet scent filled his animal nostrils to the brim. On her side, it was an excuse to take in his unique fresh scent that still carries over with him as a beast.

"I missed you, my wolf..." whispered Midna.

Samus on the other hand blushed a bit, as some unwanted thoughts ran through her mind. Their hug felt different from Anika's, or anyone else that Link saw after so long. But why should she be bothered? They only just met. It only confirmed in her mind that she did not know everything about her partner that what seemed to be. First, he heals her without even wanting a thank you, then he proves that he is more than a capable fighter, holds the power of 'this triforce' which makes him transform in to a beast on contact with Twilight, and now he has a special connection with a Princess from another dimension. Seeing them together sparked a slither of an emotion that was rare for the bounty hunter - envy. She always preferred to work alone, but still, part of that was because she never met anyone that could understand her burdens, or resonate with her emotions. If they even came close, they ended up dead.

Midna finally pulled away from Link, but still took a knee.

"So you're probably wondering how I got here..." she said as she frowned.

This was a subject that she was trying to avoid, especially to Link. She speculated in her mind that perhaps he tried to find another way back into the Twilight Realm after she broke the Mirror, but soon found that to be in vein. As of right now, she doesn't even know what he has been doing all of this time.

"Some aliens came to my world by portals of unknown energy. They stormed my kingdom, hellbent on obtaining any power that they could take for their own. I tried my best to fight them all myself, but I was overwhelmed. In a desperate attempt, one of my advisors sacrificed himself to throw me through one of their portals, in hopes of finding some help from the world of light...in hope of finding...you...Link..." her words trailed off as her voice became raspy.

Link's facial expressions widened. She couldn't hold it in any longer. Midna placed her hands on his furry cheeks, cuffing them gently.

"...I know that I am in no place to demand anything from you, especially after how things ended between us. But...if you are willing, would you help me get my kingdom back from this new threat?" she asked passionately.

Samus looked at him with admiration but also curiosity. He truly IS a hero...but yet...their connection...were they...lovers once?

The refugee warrior gritted her teeth. How dare she think of such trivial matters! Midna is just glad to see the young man who helped save her kingdom!

Samus thoughts reminded her of Link's friend, Ilia, that she encountered with Epona - how envy ruined her first time seeing Link after a few years. The blue eyed woman was determined to not let that emotion corrupt her mind as well.

Wolf Link looked at Samus for her approval. She straightened her face and nodded. Looking back at the crimson eyes of the monarch, he responded.

"We'll do it, together! But first, we need to go see Zelda. It's important to know if she's okay and so we can form our plan to take back the kingdoms together!" barked the blue eyed beast.

Midna smiled, wiping a tear away from her eye, and she got to her feet.

"Right! I'm glad that you mentioned that. Fortunately before I got here, I checked out Hyrule Castle through one of their portals. Without making my presence known, I saw Zelda locked in her tower. She was unharmed, but it's good that we go see her like you said - I can take all of us there, by using their own portals against them!" she stated triumphantly. Then she turned to Samus.

"Would this be your first time teleporting through space and time, Samus?" she asked looking at the warrior in the Twilight Suit.

The space hunter shook her head.

"My molecules have been deconstructed and recreated a few dozen of times before, I think I won't get sea sick." she replied nonchalantly.

Midna grinned and nodded her head. I like her...

"Well then, let's get going!" she said as she turned into raw material along with Link and Samus as they teleported to the personal quarters of Hyrule Castle.

.

.

.

Immediately, they spawned near the steps of the entrance to Zelda's personal quarters. Once out of it, it vanished, which gave Midna a hint that their portals are one time usages. Link creaked the door open, followed by Midna and Samus. This place was covered in Twilight yet again.

As it finally opened, they saw a hooded figure looking out the window. Samus was a bit cautious and placed her hand on her arm canon. This made a noise as the hooded figure turned to show her navy blue eyes.

"My goddesses...Link?! Midna?!" she said as she removed her hood immediately, revealing her brunette hair and beautiful face.

"Long time no see, Zelda." replied the Twilight Princess.

The Princess of Hyrule ran up to Midna and bear hug her, even taking Midna by surprise as she was flustered a bit.

"Thank the goddesses! You all are okay!" she said looking up at Midna passionately. Her expression turn sad as she held Midna tighter.

"...I...I thought that I would never see you again..." commented her childhood friend, almost breaking down crying.

Midna was stunned, her mouth quivered as she thought of how things went down between the last time that they saw each other.

Zelda looked around and saw Link in his wolf form again, bigger and stronger, along with a warrior in what seemed like Twilight Armor.

"Excuse me for the outburst of emotions, it's been rough these past few days." said Zelda as she bowed to Link and Samus respectfully.

"You can say that again," whispered Midna, recalling that this is the second time that both of their kingdoms have been invaded in the same era.

Through her neo visor, Samus looked back and forth at Midna and Zelda. You mean to tell me that their BOTH Princesses?

"It's okay your highness. We got here to make sure that you are okay, and to form a plan." commented the wolf.

Zelda nodded, "Right."

Link then explained their situation, "As you are well aware by now, both realms have been invaded by these aliens. They are indeed from outer space, and plan to seek out any sort of immense power from this planet, and conquer the entire galaxy. Somehow, they stole the light of Hyrule again."

Still holding onto Midna, Zelda responded.

"I've never seen these creatures before, or let alone heard of this happening in the history of Hyrule. What could have caused this?" said Zelda.

A spark of fire engulfed the insides of Samus' stomach upon hearing that line. Perhaps it was only fair that everyone in the room hears the truth.

"This is my fault." Samus said plainly.

Everyone turned to the space warrior shocked.

"No! Don't say that, Samus!" barked Wolf Link.

But she just shook her helmet.

"It's okay Link, they deserve to know that truth too."

The truth? thought Midna and Zelda.

Taking a deep breath, Samus informed them of how things came to be.

"These aliens are called Space Pirates. They came to this side of the galaxy seeking to put an end to me. I have been fighting the Space Pirates for nearly a decade across the entire universe. After my recent mission, I choose to destroy a contagious parasite that threatened the entire galaxy. The Galactic Federation did not approve of this, and are now hellbent to find me. In their eyes, I am now a intergalactic criminal. Fortunately I got them off my tail, but not before encountering Space Pirates myself. I tried to trick them by crash landing on this planet in hopes that they assumed that I died in the crash, but it didn't go as planned. That's where I met Link, in a land far from Hyrule. He saved me from my ship and patched me up. We agreed to come back to this land to regain my equipment that fell in this part of the world and check up on the land of Hyrule. Unfortunately, the Space Pirates got here first, and somehow are using Phazon - a radioactive substance that I thought that I destroyed entirely - to boost their abilities. Recently, with the help of the Twilight Princ-err, I mean Midna, we decided that we help save these worlds from the threat of the space pirates."

Everyone stared at her, taking in all of the information. The brunette woman spoke first.

"You are not a criminal, Samus." claimed Princess Zelda.

All of their eyes turned to Zelda as she approached the Space Warrior and placed a hand on her shoulder.

"If it wasn't for you, we would all have been enslaved by the Space Pirates ages ago. We'll do everything in our power to help you get your equipment back and save this world."

Samus looked around the room, feeling the comradery in the air.

"Thank you all."

Leaning into her shoulder, Midna smirked at the blonde warrior.

"Of course! I've never met a galactic celebrity in my life, besides myself of course, but thank you for your service - Samus Aran."

Wolf Link rolled his eyes, but smiled nonetheless.

"So, what's the first step to this operation?" the swordsman asked.

Midna spoke up.

"I think it's already settled. We'll restore the lights of this world one by one, and reobtain Samus' equipment along the way. Once that's done, we'll have now problem defeating these Space Pirates and send them back to hell where they belong."

The Twilight Armored Warrior nodded in approval.

"Well if that's the case, let's get going!" barked the wolf.

Feeling her heart heavy, Zelda spoke out.

"I have to stay here, and watch over my people. If I left or tried anything suspicious, they would kill my people. Before you all go though, can you both give me and Midna a few minutes please?"

Link and Samus looked at each other, and then nodded at the two Princesses. They stepped out of the room.

.

.

.

As the door closed, the Twilight Princess decided on an ice breaker before the room grew too quiet.

"What do you think of Link's new look? He's gotten bigger and stronger in his wolf form, I can only imagine how good he looks now, don't you agree? Not to mention his companion - she's really unique, I like her attitude," curling her crimson hair.

But when there was no response so she looked at her childhood friend, who seemed to be borderline depressed.

"What is it?" Midna asked softly.

"It's been so long since you were gone. Everyday I prayed to the goddesses to see you again. You don't know how much this means to Link, what it means to me..." Zelda commented as her voice lowered and looked down.

"Zelda, I...I didn't mean to hurt you...it was just that..." Midna said not finding the words to explain after all of this time. But she didn't have to, as her fellow monarch collapsed in her robe again and held her tightly. Once again, Midna's expression widened.

"I've really missed you." the brunette princess finally said as her eyes were shut closed. At this point she was massaging her head on the Twilight Princess' chin and neck, being that Midna was taller than her. The warmth and comfort once again radiated all over the crimson hair ruler. She then proceeded to wrap her arms and Twili cloth around Zelda, closing her eyes in the process.

"I've missed you too." responded the blue skin woman.

For one reason to another, both flustered as they found themselves rubbing their skin on one another standing in the Twilight.

.

.

.

Meanwhile, out on the stairway, Wolf Link and Samus had their own conversation.

When the door closed initially, it took them a few seconds before they had their conversation.

"I'm sorry for the outburst back there," comment the blue eyed beast.

Samus took a second and immediately defending him.

"It's okay, I just don't want to see people suffer for my mistakes." replied the space warrior.

"Yeah...I can understand that..." said the wolf as both parties stared at each other passionately for a bit.

Seeing that this was her chance, the Twilight Armored Warrior spoked out as her heart pounded.

"Do you mind if I ask you how you know the two of them?" asked Samus.

Wolf Link shook his head.

"Not at all. Two years ago, I was living peacefully in Ordon Village. But things changed as a madman of the Twilight Realm - Zant, tried to take over both Hyrule and the Twilight Realm. It was later revealed that it was the Demon King, Ganondorf, who was behind the scenes all along, attempting to conquer the worlds for himself and take the Triforce. The Triforce contains the power from the golden goddesses of this world that only those that they choose can wield, giving them nearly absolute power..." Link held out his paw, as his mark glowed again.

"...I carry the Triforce of Courage, and Princess Zelda, carries the Triforce of Wisdom. The Evil King Ganondorf held the Triforce of Power. In order to defeat the Demon King, I trained to become the legendary warrior, and was mentored by The Golden Wolf, who I found out later that he was my father. With the help of countless others, Zelda, and especially Midna - who was there with me all the way through it - we defeated Zant and Ganondorf and put an end to their endeavors..."

Then he looked down as he found it hard to continue.

"...and yet..."

Seeing this made Samus frown as she knew some weight was holding him down. The blonde woman knelt down.

"You can tell me anything, Link. I think that it'll help."

He brought his blue eyes to her visor, and nodded.

"...When all was set and done, Me, Zelda, and Midna said our goodbyes at the Mirror of Twilight - the only known way from the this world and the Twilight World. As she was leaving, much to our shock, Midna decided to use her absolute magic to break the mirror, severing the ties to our worlds completely. There were many nights that I spent trying to find a way back, but to no avail. I soon came to the conclusion that there was no way back to the Twilight Realm and tried to move on with my life. That's when I left Hyrule in search for my life purpose with Epona...trained with my father...and...well I figure you know how things went after that."

Samus nodded.

"That's incredible, Link. You really are a hero."

Trying to lighten the mood, the wolf smirked.

"That makes two of us...well I mean like the fact that your an intergalactic space warrior, who's been keeping the galaxy and the universe safe all of this time!" he stated as his face turned cherry.

The blonde woman just softly smiled.

"You're right. It does make two of us." acknowledging his past statement.

This made Link's face ease up, as he smiled warmly.

"So...if you don't mind me asking, why did you decide to become an intergalactic bounty hunter?" Link asked, mirroring her question.

The space warrior took a deep breath,

"Well, to start off, I-"

Unfortunately, they heard some footsteps from down the stairwell - most likely the guards.

"Oh shit..." whispered the wolf.

.

.

.

They hurried back into the room. As soon as the door creaked open, both Midna and Zelda scattered away from each other as if they were not trying to be seen together.

Wolf Link looked at Midna with an expression that she understood. She looked at Zelda who nodded.

"Go. I'll be fine here." taking back Midna's soft hand and squeezing it.

Midna's mouth quivered as she eventually let go of Zelda's hand as she turned herself into raw material along with Samus and Link.

"I promise you, Zelda, we will meet again." replied the Twilight Princess as they teleported out of the room.

The guards stormed into Zelda's room.

"What was that noise that we heard earlier?!" One of the Space Pirates said.

Zelda's face hardened.

"It was nothing! Please, just leave me alone!" she demanded.

But one man spoke out from the shadows.

"Leave you alone? Oh...there's no way that I can do that, Princess. Not after what you have done to me and what I desire to do to you..." a dreaded voice said from the shadows.

Fear flooded in Zelda's voice as she knew who it belonged to.

"It can't be..." she murmured to himself.

Slowly, the Demon King existed from the shadows and into the room, smirking.

"It's been a while, my dear Princess Zelda." Ganondorf said.

.

.

.

Midna brought herself, Link, and Samus to Ordon Spring.

Once materialized, she took a deep breath upon being separated from Zelda again.

"Thanks Midna." stated Link warmly.

"Hmph...no problem her...o..." her words trailed off as she was staring at an older and more developed Link than ever before.

His brown hair was wavier and reached slightly below his ears. Link's chin and facial features were more developed. The swordsman's body was yoked, better than it ever has been without being too much muscular. Most of all, he was extremely taller, the same height as herself! It was the first time that Midna looked at someone just as tall as her excluding her father and the Demon King, who was practically 7 feet. Her mouth slightly parted as she stared at Link, someone that she literally and figuratively use to look down on. She didn't even realize that her face was becoming the color of her eyes.

"Midna, are you okay?" Link said snapping her back to reality.

She blinked twice and put a hand over her mouth.

"Sorry, yes I'm okay." the beautiful monarch muffled.

Samus saw this and smiled softly. I don't blame you, Samus said to herself.

She could guess that this was the first time seeing his true form in years, he probably must have changed a lot physically and mentally.

Midna looked over and realized that Samus had her armor off, allowing her crimson eyes to view her full athletic and curvaceous body along with her perky face. Her blue suit now took an overall black and blue base, with neo green colors of Twilight Art and Symbols across her arms and legs. This brought a clever idea to Midna in order to get back her damaged ego. She decided to focus on beauty other than Link as she chose to compliment her other companion.

"Well Samus, Link never told me that his companion was a beautiful space warrior across the stars." she said with absolute scandal in her voice.

Instantly, Link's face turned cherry as he looked at Midna like she revealed his skeleton from the closet. She was grinning like the devil. Samus herself was a bit taken away but wanted to accept the compliment.

"I'm sure he had a lot on his mind. I was today years old when I learned that he knows not one, but two gorgeous princess from two kingdoms." Samus said winking at Midna.

As if Midna could not get anymore mischievous. She titled her head and crossed her arms looking at Link.

"Naughty boy." remarked the red eyed princess.

Link took a deep breath, overwhelmed by the energy that radiated from these two.

"Well let's get going." he said not waiting for either of them to start moving.

Midna and Samus exchanged looks as Midna laughed hysterically. Samus on the other hand just shook her head with an embarrassed grin. She planted her face in her open palm. Usually she's calm and reserved, but something about this woman reminded her of Gandrayda, which brought out some pent up girl power that she's not use to having around.

"How did you two get along?" teased Samus.

Midna fixed her hair pridefully.

"We had a rocky start in the beginning. I couldn't stand him and he couldn't stand me. But being that we needed each other to save our worlds, it helped us grow as people and in our connection." she stated looking at Link gesturing both of them to move with him.

"Sounds nice..." remarked Samus, looking at Link and thinking of her own fresh experience with him.

Midna walked to the warrior and leaned on Samus' shoulder smirking, catching Samus off guard a bit.

"Come on, let's go before our lone wolf here gets lost in the woods." commented Midna as she took a hold of Samus hand and walked with her to the Twilight Barrier.

.

.

.

At the Twilight Barrier, Link spoke out.

"Okay, there will most likely be Space Pirates, Bokoblins, and Shadow Beasts that we encounter. Now that Samus has her base Power Suit, it should not be too much of a problem. As long as we stay focus and stick tog-"

*YAWN*

Link and Samus look at Midna who was stretching nonchalantly. She opens her eyes and saw their expressions.

"...Sorry" she says with a smile of embarrassment.

Normally, Link would've been pissed off, but realizing that this not anything out of their combined current pay grade, he smiles.

"I don't blame you."

Both of his companions were caught by surprise.

"With our overall power, we should have no problem bring back the light as long as we watch each other's backs." he remarked to both of them.

Samus looks at Link passionately, and mentally activated her Twilight Suit.

"Absolutely, I'm ready when you two are." commented Samus.

"Hmmph! You know I always am!" replied Midna.

With that, they entered Faron Wood's Twilight - with the goals to bring back the light, find Samus' upgrades, and defeat the enemies in their paths.
