It took a while for Louis to reach the top of the stairs.

By the time he did, he was almost out of breath. The boy stopped for a second and panted.

Louis glanced up and got a good look at the entire campus. He couldn't believe his eyes.

Before him, a vast, modern campus spread into huge, new buildings of glass and steel.

A hive of activity.

Numerous fields dotted its surroundings, and each had trainers, teachers and Pokémon learning from each other.

Louis realised he had no idea where he was meant to be.

He retrieved the letter from his pack and clutched it tightly.

'I should probably show someone this-'

"Hey! Watch it, Simon!" a voice yelled.

A few feet away, a boy landed on his back as another, taller boy barged through him, passing Louis.

The boy called 'Simon' simply sneered over his shoulder and continued on his way. Simon had long, dark-red hair, with spikes on the top, while wearing a blue singlet, a black vest, dark pants and grey shoes.

Louis jogged to the fallen child.

The boy had spikey blonde hair and azure blue eyes that peered through thick-framed glasses. He wore a pale-red sleeveless shirt and black knee-length shorts.

"You ok, man?" Louis asked.

"Yeah, I'm good," the boy answered. "I'm getting pretty sick of Simon!"

He rose to his feet before speaking again.

"Are you new here?" he asked.

"How'd you know?" replied Louis.

"If you weren't new, you'd know Simon..." the boy answered. "...and you wouldn't like him."

They both chuckled.

"Where are you headed?" the blonde kid asked.

Louis felt unsure of how to answer.

"I...don't know," he answered.

Louis then produced the letter he received days ago and revealed it to the individual.

"I guess I should see the faculty staff," added Louis.

"I can take you!" the boy said, smiling.

Soon, the pair reached the faculty building, located on a near-maze of classrooms, and Louis realized this was all going to take some time to remember.

"Thanks for the help...uh..." Louis paused.

"Oh, I'm Suzuki," the boy introduced.

"Name's Louis."

The faculty office was, to Louis' shock, empty. For a while, the boy sat and read the letter sent from this place. Louis overheard a panicking voice coming from outside the room.

"Late late late!" it shrieked.

Then, someone burst through the office doors, dropping sheets of paper along the way.

The individual had bushy hair as if he had just woken up, a white jacket with black sleeves and a green shirt underneath.

He rounded the desk, slapped the papers to the wooden top, and took a deep breath.

"Ok...I'm not too late, maybe an hour behin-"

He stopped. His eyes flicked up to see a confused Louis sitting across the table.

"Err...hi?" both said in unison.

"You...you must be...Louis?" the man asked.

"Um...yeah," answered Louis.

"Well Louis, why aren't you in class?"

Louis raised an eyebrow at the man who kept rifling through stacks of paper.

– "Because I...don't know where it is?" the boy responded.

The man stopped.

"Point taken," he said. "Ok Louis, let me check for you."

He rummaged through the sheets of paper to find Louis' timetable. Eventually, the boy's name met the man's eyes.

"Ah! Here we go!" he said in relief.

"It says you need to be in 31A," he read.

"Great," said Louis. "...where would I find that?"

"Outside, take two lefts, and you're in block three, then you want the first room" the man explained.

"Your teacher is Ms. Flora," he finished.

As Louis proceeded on his way to block three, he heard the man speak again, running from the office behind him.

"Late late late!"
