To WyldClaw: Yep. Louis made himself look like a fool at that point.
The room contained many sets of eyes. Some stared at the boy, as others planned the next part of the meeting.
"Well, that was quite the introduction," said the professor.
Many of Louis' newly acquired Pokémon laughed at the boy's embarrassing introduction. Ms. Flora giggled.
"I'd like to show you all something," she announced. "Follow me."
Again, Ms. Flora walked briskly through the corridors, with Louis and his Pokémon trailing behind. She pushed open a large double door to the outside, revealing a vast, green, soft-grassed field. Leaves clapped and rasped in the warm, flowing wind. In the distance sat an old Sakura tree. Louis was the first to spot the tree.
'Huh, I wasn't expecting to see that,' he thought.
Ms. Flora walked over to Louis.
"I'll let you have some time to properly introduce yourself to your Pokémon," she said. "I suggest taking them into the shade of the tree."
Louis nodded.
He proceeded to walk toward the old tree. His Pokémon trailing from behind. The boy overheard his team and continued toward the tree.
"He's a bit overdramatic," said Torracat.
"No, I can tell he feels embarrassed by that whole thing," replied Riolu.
As they got closer, Louis strode with pride, occasionally looking back to make sure his team kept up. Froakie fell again. Quickly, the frog Pokémon rose to its feet and spat out several blades of grass. Before it could start hopping again, Froakie spotted the tree in the distance. In a flash, it rapidly leapt toward the large log, covered in cherry blossoms.
"Whoa! That is so cool!" exclaimed Froakie. "Is this a sakura tree?"
"Looks like," answered Riolu.
"This is cool, I've never seen one this big before," admired Cubone.
Louis smiled. He then sat down in the shadows of the tree. The cooling breeze that flowed through the cherry blossom levelled the warm air and eased Louis' nerves.
"Well...uh..." he stuttered. "I guess I should do a proper introduction."
All of Louis' Pokémon drew their attention to the boy.
"Uh...my name's Louis. Louis Serrano," the boy introduced. "I live in the Johto region."
"And uh...I've got a bit of a secret I haven't told many people," he continued.
All six creatures looked at each other.
"Let me guess, he's got psychic abilities?" joked Staravia.
"Mmm...no, I'm not psychic," replied Louis.
The six creatures immediately stared at Louis, in shock.
"Huh? Did he just..." paused Fennekin.
"I actually have the ability to talk to Pokémon," the boy revealed.
All of the Pokémon's eyes widened.
"No way!" exclaimed Froakie. "You mean you can understand what we're all saying?"
"Yep," replied Louis.
"Ok, that's really cool," Torracat smiled.
"Sure is," added Cubone.
Louis grinned. He felt as if the companionship between him and his Pokémon was going to be very strong.
"So...where are you all from?" he inquired.
"...you don't know?" questioned Fennekin, surprised.
"Well...no," answered Louis.
"Like I said, I'm from the Johto region," he continued. "And I'm...not very knowledgeable of Pokémon outside of the region."
"Ohhhh," the Pokemon simultaneously said.
Louis thought he had just embarrassed himself even more.
"Alola," said Torracat.
Louis shifted his gaze to it.
"Sorry?" he replied.
"I'm from the Alola region," clarified Torracat.
"Kanto," said Cubone.
"Sinnoh," Riolu and Staravia continued in unison.
"Kalos," Both Fennekin and Froakie simultaneously finished.
In the distance, Ms. Flora and the professor looked on in amazement.
"My my, he's a natural," said the professor.
"Yes," said Ms. Flora. "I've never seen anyone bond with their Pokémon this quickly before."
