Chapter 5
When Uraraka woke up she could immediately feel her body protest. Maybe it would be best to have a rest day, for the time being, she thought as she sat up in her bed and looked around, trying to wake up. The dream she had that night was still lingering vividly in her mind as if it had been real. It felt real. Maybe too real.
It was a dream that had started as it did so often.
She stood in front of a full-body mirror, alone in a big bedroom, looking at the reflection. She was wearing a pink dress, the skirt was frilly and short, just above her knees. Dark pink frills went up from the start of the skirt and up to the hem of the dress above her chest, on each side. The straps were cut to her shoulders. She wore a white pearl necklace and a white flower with a black bow was placed in her hair. She wore black leggings and dark red shoes with a heel that was tied like a ballerina. It was cute. Just as expected from a dream.
She swirled around to see the dress move along with her movement. It almost looked like she was dressed for a formal party or some sort of ball. She looked around the bedroom, it was surprisingly empty, only a big window on the other side of the room and a big king size bed was in the room. Suddenly a knock was heard at the door and it opened shortly after.
Midoriya stood in the door, waiting for her, with a smile on his lips, as if it had been the easiest in the whole world.
It almost felt like she was magnetized and pulled towards Midoriya's smile as she slowly walked towards him.
When she came closer he reached out his hand and she gently took it.
When Uraraka's hand touched his, they were suddenly transported to a big ballroom. The music started to play around them and Midoriya started to move, leading Uraraka to dance. His hand was gently placed on her waist and the other was holding hers.
Uraraka had never danced before, but somehow, be it because of how Midoriya was leading her or because it was in a dream, Uraraka's legs moved on their own with no problem.
Around them, were other couples dancing as well. As Uraraka looked into his green eyes and felt like she could drown in them, Midoriya slowly moved down towards Uraraka. He gently wrapped his arm around her and on her back, pulling her closer as their lips touched. Uraraka could feel her cheeks burn and her heart pound in her chest as she closed her eyes and leaned into Midoriya's soft lips.
However, when Uraraka opened her eyes again, she wasn't met with Midoriya's deep, kind, and green eyes she had looked into not too long ago. Instead, she was met with red piercing eyes.
"B-Bakugou?" She blinked at him in question as she saw him smile at her warmly before he leaned down to her and kissed her softly. His hand that was once before holding hers was now going through her hair. The scent of caramel came over her as she heard Bakugou's rough voice whisper her name into the kiss.
And then Uraraka woke up.
Her fingers touched her lips, it was like she could feel the kiss and her stomach danced. The scent of caramel was still lingering to her confusion until her eyes landed on the hoodie from the day before. She had almost forgotten Bakugou's hoodie that she hadn't given back just yet. It was hanging on the back of her chair at her desk.
Uraraka stood up and grabbed the hoodie. It was surprisingly soft. She had been too tired to notice yesterday.
She had to give it back to him. Knowing Bakugou he wouldn't appreciate it if she handed it to him at school, which only meant she had to go to his apartment. The thought alone made her heart race faster with nerves. Weirdly enough the sweet scent from the hoodie calmed her. Though, who would have thought Bakugou could have such a soft side to him? Compared to his hard and muscled exterior Uraraka thought but quickly shook her head to get out of it when her mind thought about his shoulders, abs, and that soft kiss from her dream.
Quickly Uraraka shook her head and put on her uniform, grabbed some breakfast to eat on the way, and headed to school.
Uraraka didn't know what she expected when she came into class, but she was weirdly surprised when Bakugou hardly looked at her, just as usual. And Midoriya greeted her normally with a soft smile.
"Okay class, settle down," Aizawa interrupted the usual morning banter with his groggy voice and the rest of the class sat down in their seats and stopped talking, giving their teacher their undivided attention. "All of you, change into your gym clothes and we'll meet outside for a new exercise in 15 minutes," Aizawa said with his usual stoic and calm expression before he left the room again and all the students in 1-A got up and headed for their locker rooms.
"Are you okay hun?" Tsuyu asked Uraraka as they both were about to change their clothes in the girl's locker room.
"Why do you ask?" Uraraka asked, pausing in the middle of unbuttoning the white shirt of her uniform.
"You seem very tense these past days, especially this morning," Tsuyu stated looking at her best friend with a slight worry, "did something happen between you and Midoriya?"
Uraraka's cheeks coloured immediately at the mentioning of Midoriya's name and she quickly flailed her hands in defense, "n-no, nothing like that! Nothing at all! I'm fine Tsuyu, really!" She could hardly look at her friend in the eyes. Tsuyu had always been good at analyzing people and she would be able to tell she was lying instantly. Uraraka felt a ping of guilt, she hadn't told Tsuyu about any of the things that had happened lately. Usually, Uraraka told Tsuyu everything.
"Are you sure?" Tsuyu asked, her eyes were locked on Uraraka and she knew it wasn't really a question about whether or not Uraraka was sure she was okay, rather it was a question asked if she really didn't want to talk about it. Tsuyu had always been bright.
"Yeah, sorry sweetie, maybe later," She wanted to tell her everything. But, to be able to do so, she needed to know for herself what all of this that had happened was about.
"Okay," Tsuyu smiled and went back to change her clothes, as did Uraraka, she knew that other people wouldn't understand their conversation just now, but to her, that didn't matter.
"Okay everyone, we have five minutes left before we should be ready outside, please be ready by then," Yaoyorozu chided cheerfully already in her gym clothes, standing by the door.
While wondering what kind of exercise they were supposed to get through today, Uraraka hurried to get ready. Her heart was already pounding nervously when they all went outside to meet the guys and their teacher, Aizawa.
"Today's exercise is a special form of dodge ball," Aizawa announced when the whole class was gathered.
