It's celebration day.
Lance has broken out the confetti cannons, peals of brightly-coloured bits of paper raining onto the floor as he continues to set it off. I giggle as a rainbow of paper lands on my head, blowing them back up into the air to watch them fall again. Things look so much better when you've had ten pina coladas in a day, don't they?
Atropa is nursing her second bottle of whiskey, her features softening into a near-smile as she watches the large screen display District Twelve's tributes marching off into the Justice Building. "Well, there goes our last two."
"We've done it!" I shout with delight, grabbing the confetti cannon and letting a round blast for good measure. Lance yelps in surprise at first, but he's soon back to his trademark grin. He's always been a happy drunk, even if it only takes a few martinis to make him tipsy. "Now we're in business - the tributes will head to the island, we'll get the teams set up, and we'll begin these Games. Aren't ratings high this year? Oh, we're doing such a-"
"Wait," Atropa asks, her eyebrows furling as she struggles to think through her personal cloud of whiskey, "how are we going to get the tributes to the island?"
Yes, it's continuing. But it's now a JAJ story, no more collab :(
LCS and Shiro were amazing to write with, but unforeseen circumstances threw us off our groove and caused the SYOT to slide into inactivity. I've taken up the mantle now as the writer, and I'll handle your babies with care - LCS and Shiro have given me their blessing, so send them love too.
The story's going to progress in a different way than you might expect, but I'm excited for this nonetheless. Now I have both a Survivor SYOT and a The Amazing Race SYOT I'm writing - Big Brother next for the trifecta?
