Destroyed and defeated that was the Earth right now after the hour long Dragon attack. The world had endured so much suffering, destroyed homes, dead families, buildings still on fire, and so many people injured not just by fire, but by so much more. Thousands of Dragons attacked everywhere coordinated across the world the militaries of the world were overwhelmed by the Dragons that attacked the military bases.
The Dragons were almost impenetrable with their Scales, but a few were killed. Of the Dragon kind, only 17 Dragons were reported dead; all of them died to the militaries of the world except for one. This one had no military or police anywhere nearby because of the number of problems in the world right now they overlooked it as someone got very lucky. The world was hit by a video of the reason why the Dragons stopped the attack and gave hope to the desperate to live Humanity. The video goes as
"Oh my god!" Said the cameraman filming a crowd being held by a massive reddish black Dragon.
"Where is the one to kill my comrade, bring him to me!'' The Dragon voice thumbed "Bring the one to me or I will incinerate all of you to nothingness you all really are, you have 10 seconds!" Paarthurnax spoke giving a short time limit "10...9...8...7...6...5...4...3...2" The Dragon counted down then a single teenager came out of the crowd.
"Stop, I did it. I killed your friend, let them live, and just kill me!" The teenager no, man yelled sacrificing himself for the others."
The Dragon scoffed "Do you really expect me to believe you? You show no signs of battle or hardship, but you do have bravery. I commend you on that, but I will still kill you and start the countdown again after you are dead, you are welcome." The beast says not believing man. The Dragon grabbed the man and started charging up a fire blast at his captive. The intense heat from the Dragon started to give the man in it's claws 2nd and 3rd degree burns, but as the Dragon was about to release the blast he was hit in the head by a metal object that got it's attention. A kid who looked like he just went through hell and came back stood up to the Dragon. The beast released his captive and all was heard was a snap of his leg bones.
The Dragon smirked "I've been looking for you. You've killed my comrade, very few have ever done that, that is impressive even though he was the weakest of all of the Dragons." The beast spoke. What the Dragon said got the camera man's attention and zoomed in on the boy who killed a Dragon. "You're a special one, any regular Human would have ran, but you fought, even when you could have saved yourself and ran, but you didn't. You came back to be a Hero and right now I can use that." What the Dragon said confused the world watching because why would the Dragon need this child. Then the part that really got the whole world's attention "I'll make you a deal. I will stop this siege on your planet if you will go into another world and attack a Witch that plans destruction worse than what we are doing, will you do it. If you don't I will destroy your world and everything that lives on it. Make Your Decision Now!" The beast spoke of the genocide of Humanity and the creatures of the Earth and now he made a deal with a child to stop if he hurts a woman. Every person watching this begged the kid to take the deal, and...he did.
Without hesitation he said "I'll take your deal and kill this woman as long as you stop your attack on Earth!" The whole world heard that they were saved by this kid no, Hero.
"Then I Paarthurnax the King of the Dragons will stop my siege as long as you attack this Witch, but know this you have a time limit I'll give you 2 years before I have to start the siege again, that is all of the time I can give you." The Dragon known as Paarthurnax roared into the sky everybody heard around the world when the Dragons all stopped their attack and flew away into space. Paarthurnax put a time limit and if the Hero did not finish his side of the deal, then the world was to be attacked again. People panicked, but they knew they had at most two more years before they all could die., but then Paarthurnax spoke something silently to the Hero then a rip in the air appeared getting bigger and when the Hero attention was on the portal in the air Paarthurnax grabbed him and throw him through the portal the Hero disappeared from the video and Paarthurnax waited for the portal to get to his size then walked through. Five minutes later he came back through the portal without the Hero and flew off into the air like all the other Dragons and the video was cut off.
The world was in shambles, but this video gave people hope, hope that this Hero would complete the deal and the world's people would be safe. While the people hoped for the Hero to save them himself the more cynical people decided to put their own fate in their own hands and start helping the military build better weapons to fight against the Dragons if the Hero doesn't finish the deal. The whole world saw the power that the Dragons had. They destroyed large portions of the world's militaries in just an hour. The world powers put aside their differences and decided to form an alliance to fight against the Dragons, the next time they show up. Earth will be uniting under a single objective to survive. They knew that they would not survive being separate. Together they stand separate they will fall and with that, a new chapter for Humanity opened...or did it.
Day 1 of 720 before Earth's death
Back with me, I was in the middle of fighting my fear of Paarthurnax. "What you'd think I would just leave you on this planet with no guidance." Paarthurnax spoke or thought I didn't know.
"You were with me the whole time I was at beacon?" I said guessing.
"I am with you, but I'm not with you physically. I'm just talking to you telepathically so don't talk out loud and make people think you're crazy that will make your journey harder and yeah I watched you make a lot of good decisions, good job," He said in my head.
"Why are you thinking at me shouldn't you be killing things like the monster you are?" I said with stored anger at him
"I should be, but I made a deal with a child not to, unless he wants me to break it."
"No please don't," I thought in a desperate voice. What is wrong with me don't sass the Dragon that can call upon Earth's destruction I thought belittling myself.
"Heh I won't it's not like I want to do it anyway," He said to me
"Wait, what do you mean by that?" I said thinking I heard that incorrectly.
"It means I don't want to commit genocide on your planet, but I have to my hand is being forced." He said it like it was obvious, but who could force the King of Dragons to do as they say.
"So you mean someone forcing you to attack my planet, who?" I said, trying to get information.
"I still don't trust you enough to tell you, but if you survive long enough, maybe I will tell you." He said with a serious tone in his voice
"Still why are you talking to me," I say because he won't give me any information so off to the next big question
"I got bored and I wasn't going to wait for either you complete your side of the deal or you fail so I decided to be with you through your journey." He said with reassurance like my opinion doesn't matter, no shut up he can still destroy my world so no sassing him
"So you're going to travel kinda with me for now on," I said, making sure I heard correctly and hoping that I didn't.
"Yeah I'll either be spectating you or sleeping whichever seems more enticing, and just so you know your journey so far is very entertaining." He said with a laugh mocking me, but he wasn't wrong I was sent into another world to kill a witch, I learned that this world has a thing called Aura it makes people stronger than normal and they have Semblances that are fucking powers that would show up in a comic book. Ok calm down I still need more info.
"Okay if you're going to be with me tell me about this world and where is this woman," I say trying to get some information
"I don't know almost anything about this world and the women you won't have to look for her, she'll FIND YOU," Paarthurnax said great he's useless, but she'll find me that is bad on at least three different levels.
"Why how would she know me," I said needing to know when she's coming for me
"Mostly because of a kid and a big badass Dragon appearing out of a portal and the Dragon giving the kid incredibly rare and powerful Dragon Scale." He said sarcastically
"Yeah, but how would she know that I ha…Ohhh she has spies," I say figuring it out.
"Yeah she has spies everywhere, but I don't think she'll be after you right now, but in a few months she will be." Ok, I have a few good months. I need to be at my best for the coming fights.
"Ok so I have some time to train and forge this Scale," I say with relief
I pull out the map from the side pouch of the bag and look at it. Ok, I'm going to be dropped off at the outskirts of Vale next to a road that will lead to a Village called Kakariko Village, hold on that's a Legends of Zelda reference, nevermind the map says that it's 100 miles away. That is going to take a while. Maybe I can convince the bullhead pilot to fly to Mount Helios for me, but that'll be too easy, life won't let that happen, maybe they use cars to travel long distances and I can hitchhike. I really don't want to walk all the way there which is…..1523 miles away fuck I really don't want to walk now my legs already feel the pain of walking that far.
"Well if you want to live and complete the deal you'll have to if needed be." Maybe if I go back and ask Ozpin to just take me all the way there wait
"Hey Paarthurnax, why did you say to not trust Ozpin." Remembering his past words
"Ah, I wonder when you'll ask me that. He is a manipulator and will use and destroy anyone to get to his goal that is all I can say for now," He said with a serious tone
"Great you want to be mysterious, what a brilliant buddy cop duo, the kid and the mysterious genocidal King Dragon." Dammit, mouth stop talking you, idiot.
"Hey I get it you don't like me, but know that we Dragons are actually peaceful creatures we hate fighting, but right now we are in a bad position and we have to do what is best for us." He said with a serious tone
"Yeah I get it, but know that I can't forgive you, you helped kill the woman I loved and almost incarcerated my Best friend in front of me," I say remembering about them and my world I wanted to cry, but there was no time for that I need to complete this deal I thought as I put all of my anger, sadness, and loneliness into a tiny ball and put it in the back of my head to try to forget it for now.
The bullhead stopped moving and started to land. Well, it's time to leave and start my adventure. I went to the cockpit and thanked the grouchy pilot and got off. The bullhead left after I got off and now I was looking at a forest that had a road one way going deeper into the forest and the other went to a gate to a fifty foot wall. Guess time to walk then, but it was almost night time the sun almost down I had to set up camp. I started grabbing wood for a fire to keep warm during the night. After that was done I pulled out my right Dagger and grabbed a piece of wood to start making tinder to start the fire. I made a handful of tinder to start the fire then I realized I don't know the whole start a fire with sticks thing then I remembered the outdoor cooking set must have a lighter or a piece of flint. I dug through the bag and found the cooking set had one small pan and a collapsible pan holder to hold the pan above the fire and a lighter, yes. Lighting the tinder then the rest of the wood I sat close enough away to keep warm, but not to close where I would burn myself.
I pull out one of the books to start reading more about this world. Out of chance, I grabbed the book about Grimm. Still didn't know about Grimm. I keep forgetting to ask about them, but now I have a book to explain it or them.

Reading it said to quote. For as long as Humanity can recall walking the surface of Remnant, so do they remember this wicked force." The books start out The Creatures of Grimm Inhabiting various parts of Remnant, They are described as "Creatures of Destruction" That lack a soul; hence, they are unable to use Aura. They are also drawn to feelings of negativity - such as envy, sadness, loneliness, and hatred - often congregating towards the source of these emotions. That is bad. The reason Vale had a wall was because of Grimm.
The Grimm have been locked in an existential war with Humanity for as long as can be remembered, seeking to destroy them and all of their creations. At first, it seemed as though they would succeed, as Humans did not have the strength to fight them. However, Humans discovered the power of Dust, and with it, the Grimm were driven back. During this time, Humans enjoyed a time of peace and soon formed their own Kingdoms, which grew to survive and prosper. Yup, Humanity always finds a way to live.
While Grimm are initially mindless and heedless of risk during their youths, leading them to simply attack any Humans on sight, some Grimm so powerful that they have survived to live for hundreds of years. In that time, they have evolved and learned from their experiences fighting Humanity. This leads them to exhibit restraint and the patience to avoid taking unnecessary casualties in futile conflicts; instead, they stay close to Humanity's borders, waiting for the opportunity to come where they can finally strike. These things can live for hundreds of years.
The Grimm have also, for many years, disrupted land-based travel and communications between Kingdoms. The invention and production of the CCT towers replaced futile land-based communication systems with instantaneous wireless electronic messaging capabilities. Guess some things never change with Humanity, we always go to war.
Additionally, the Grimm appears to be the predominant species in the world of Remnant as Humans and Faunus appear to be limited to four primary pocket settlements referred to as Kingdoms, which are guarded by Huntsmen, as well as several Villages that exist with mixed success. Attempts by the Kingdoms to expand beyond their borders are often met with resistance, and even failure, such as the loss of an entire sector of the city of Vale. Ok there are four kingdoms and there are several Villages out there and Vale already had a sector fallen already so Humanity is starting to lose this war.
Ancient Human cultures believed the Grimm were animals possessed by evil spirits or even the tortured spirits of animals themselves. Further study has disproved this theory over time, however, due in part to the discovery of even more species of Grimm which have no animal counterparts, such as Creeps. With the discovery of new types of Grimm every day, scientists are left with more questions than answers." They even look like animals.
Grimm come in a variety of shapes and sizes; the latter appears to be a factor of age. Grimm are very biodiverse as different individuals may be born with more or less size, armor, spikes, etc. They are said to be the only creatures without souls, thus being deprived of the use of Aura, but they make up for this with strength, durability, and savagery. Some Grimm even have special abilities such as possession or usage of lightning and fire. Grimm are stated to be attracted to generally negative feelings such as sadness, hostility, anger, and fear, and even congregate in areas that, although Humanity has long since abandoned, still hold residual traces of these feelings. The Grimm can use fire or lightning this is worse than I thought.
This behavior will even lead to them to join in on an attack in progress if the Humans being attacked begin to panic. Grimm typically form packs or other types of large groupings with other members of their own specific species. While some lone Grimm may stray from the pack for hours or even months, they will inevitably rejoin their group to continue their instinctive drive to hunt the people of Remnant and destroy any artificial creations associated with them. Grimm are attracted to negative emotion and if I panic while a Grimm attack more will come fuck.
The longer a Grimm lives, the larger it becomes, with species such as the Nevermore growing from the size of an average bird of prey to massive pterosaur-sized beasts after hundreds of years. Although Grimm have a more reckless and aggressive nature during their youth, older Grimm who have managed to survive their battles have the tendency to learn from their experiences. While sometimes requiring hundreds of years, the Grimm's accumulated experiences over the course of surviving their battles with man can cause them to begin exercising caution." Wait if a Nevermore is bird sized and grows too incredibly huge than other Grimm can be that big as well.
This perverse form of self-preservation can even lead them to avoid unnecessary conflicts altogether. Yet, despite this ability to learn, their instinctual hostility still remains, as shown by their preference to patrol the borders of Kingdoms for any weaknesses they might someday exploit. This demonstrates that for all their apparent intelligence, older Grimm simply use it as a means to become more effective in their singular drive and purpose of killing." Ok, the only care about killing Humans that means me fuck.
Grimm display no enmity towards normal animals, and they only clash during territorial disputes. Humans and Faunus are the only races they attack on sight. Grimm can also choose not to eat, and it is commonly believed that they do not require sustenance. When a Grimm dies, their corporeal form evaporates, preventing detailed anatomical or biological studies." Ok if they don't attack animals that means I can still hunt for food if I need to, what are faunas is that this world's word for fish. The Grimm just disappears, but where do they really disappear or do they just get reborn over and over. I wished that these people would have found that one out for they could strike at the heart of the problem. During the great war, more Grimm attacks happened than that means that the more negativity there is the more Grimm or something completely different.
Wow, that was a fuckton of information dumped on me. The important part is that they can sense negative emotions which I am a beacon for right now. Being thrown to hell and surviving does that to you. How do Grimm look like any way I looked through the book to find a picture. I found pictures of Grimm on the back pages. This Grimm was called a Beowolf; it looked like a werewolf, but much more emo. A howl came from the forest I was next to, it was a Beowolf wasn't it, I just read about it now it's going to show up I know it, the universe loves fucking with me. I got up off the floor and pulled the Longsword off my back and got ready to swing.
Out of the brush, a Beowolf a foot taller than me with only bone armor on its face and on it's shoulders than this was an older one. While I was thinking this thing looks a lot scarier than in the book it lunged at me, dodging it I saw an opportunity and swung down on it with everything. I nicked it, but I missed and the Sword when a foot through the floor stuck, motherfucker.
I pulled out the Revolver aiming for it's head while it was running at me and when it was in my sights I pulled the trigger and...nothing I didn't load it, what is wrong with me.
Dodging out of the way when the Beowolf swung at me. Pulling out the Shortsword and taking a stance that I thought was right, this time I won't mess up. It lunged for me as it was midair. I rolled underneath it, dodge it, and got back up and ran at it with the Sword ready to kill it. No that didn't happen, it made a sound as the Sword went in, but the Beowolf didn't die it just looked me in the face and growled. Fuck that I let go to back up and grabbed both Daggers to kill this asshole already. The Beowolf lunged at me a third time, but this time I won't move I'll kill it here. I lunged at me when it was close enough I plunged the Dagger into the Grimms neck hopefully killing it. The Grimm finally started to disappear, but not without leaving a present. A small gash on the side of my right bicep. Yeah, I won with only a small scratch.
"Good job you killed the weakest of the Grimm. Maybe you should be given a trophy for killing the weakest creatures." He said with obvious sarcasm
"Shut up the Dragon I killed was incredibly hard to even damage. I had to trap it under a building to finish it and this is the first time fighting a Grimm so give me a break." I defended myself as I grabbed the Shortsword that fell out of the disappeared Grimm.
"You forget that the one you killed Dovoca was his name was the weakest of the Dragons because he was lazy with his training, reckless, and got frustrated easily when he missed and had no finesse when he fought," He said stating the Dragon Dovoca's flaws
"Hey, I still beat him and came out alive. Him, a Dragon was defeated by a small not fully grown Human. I say I'm a badass for even going against it, but beating it makes me the biggest baddest badass on my planet." I say trying to pull the Longsword out of the ground while trying to boost my confidence to not attract Grimm.
"That is true. That is why I gave you this mission and because I saw something in you that is very familiar I just can't put my claw on it." He said somewhat confused
"Cool, I have something special about me, it better make me better at fighting fast because I don't think I would last long without Aura or a Semblance." I really hope I get a really cool Semblance like fire, ice, or even cooler electricity.
"Why do you care so much about having powers?" He said curiously
I sigh kinda embarrassed "Everybody who was a kid once thought they wanted to be a Hero at least once in their lives and I never really grew out of that and now I have a chance to be one and have the power of one too." I admit the fantasy of having the power to save people.
"Power doesn't make you a Hero the action of helping others is and to your planet, you already are one, your life's on the line to give your planet a chance at living, you're already a Hero Andres," He said with wisdom
"Thanks, Paarthurnax, well time to keep reading I need to know what I'm up against in the future." I patched up my arm and kept reading the book about Grimm looking through every one of them, remembering them to the best of my ability. After two hours of reading, I went to sleep on the cold floor with one eye open metaphorically speaking.
I woke up to gunfire down the road into the forest. I sprang into action, someone was in trouble grabbing my bag and pulling out the box of bullets and pulled out 20 and put them into my back right pocket. Putting the bag on my shoulders I ran loading my 8 chambered Revolver this time prepared to actually use it. As I got there a light neon green haired woman with white skin who looked 5'9" in height and wore black pants with a green shirt with a strap filled with what looked like grenades on her belt she had a whip or a lasso and she had a Shortsword in hand was fighting at least 20 Grimm. I got ready to help her, but then I heard a scream from further down the road a carriage with 8 people on it was being surrounded by 3 Beowolves.
The woman looked like she could take care of herself. I thought running while aiming at the Beowolf at the carriage with my right hand, oh god my eardrums are going to be destroyed right now. I shot one of the three in the back getting it's attention. The one that got shot came at me ready to slash, but with my left hand, I grabbed my Shortsword and ran into the Beowolf getting too close for it to slash me. As I was hugging it I plunged the Sword into it's stomach getting a pained roar from the Beowolf. With my right hand with the Revolver, I put the barrel of the gun under it's head aiming it up, and pull the trigger exploding it's head. Hooo I thought I was done for.
Throwing the evaporating corpse aside I aimed the Revolver at the other two Beowolves and fired twice, one missing and the other hitting it in the right elbow severing it by the powerful bullets. It looked at me with anger and lunged towards me attempting to bite me. I quickly fire my gun hitting it in the shoulder and then side stepping out of the way of it's attack and the Beowolf falls down on the ground. While it was on the ground struggling to get up with only one hand, I stabbed the Beowolf in it's stomach with both hands because of it's tough hide and into the ground pinning it. Pulling the gun from the holster I shot the pinned beast in the back of the head ending it, I was about to pull the Sword out of the ground until I heard a girl scream the last Beowolf grabbed a girl getting ready to bite down on her head. Aiming the gun with both hands for the best shot to not hit the girl I fired the Grimms head exploded by the bullet hitting it's mark.
"Nice shot." Paarthurnax complimented me then he spoke again "To your right watch out!" I turned to my right seeing a Beowolf a foot away ready to tear my throat out, then it's head stayed there held in place by a Sword, but not any normal Sword, but a Green Sword that was 10 feet long in the hands of the green haired woman from before. The Beowolf started to disappear, alerting me that it was dead. I looked at the blade until it retraced to the woman; the green blade faded into a black color.
"Wow, hey thanks on the save the fucker almost got me," I said relieved I lived through the fight. I turn around and pull my Shortsword from the ground and put it back in my sheath.
"No problem kid, wait you look like a Beacon kid shouldn't you be with a team." She said referring to my weapons and little amount of armor.
"No I'm just traveling to Kakariko Village and how did you do that thing with your Sword," I asked curiously
"That was my Semblance, it increases the range of my weapons and we're also going to Kakariko Village as well. Do you want to come with us? It's the least we could do you did save the daughter of my client." Yes, a shortcut I'm so gonna take it, She said while making a come over gesture and started walking towards the carriage looking around for any more Grimm.
"Of course I really don't want to walk all the way there," I said happily, catching up and walking with her.
"Cool now that you're coming with us I can relax a bit with you being back up." She said happily that she can relax a bit. That's fine I need to be more experienced with fighting Grimm.
"Sure I'll be your backup for a ride, but you should know I'm not trained," I said honestly
"Really you're not because from what I saw you handle yourself well against 3 Beowolf's granted a fourth one would have killed you, but still you got good instincts, but you need experience and training, tell you what I'll teach you a bit I got nothing else to do." She said as we got to the carriage with the 8 people.
"Hey you guys alright," She said nonchalantly
"Alright, you left us to fight the Grimm!" An old bald fat man who looked like a giant baby that looked really ugly said to her
"Hey I told you guys to stay there so I can protect you guys, but you left while I was fighting, the Mayor paid me to protect you so listen when I say something if it wasn't for this kid that girl would be dead," She said pointing to me. So she's a mercenary and her employer is the Mayor of a Village. "Also he's coming with us he's back up that's free." She said, telling them that I'm coming with them. Hold on my eardrums aren't ringing or hurting or anything. I look at my Revolver and think. Does this planet's bullets not go past the speed of sound or does it get nullified on Remnant….doesn't matter all I can do is appreciate that I get to keep my hearing.
"Thank you all for having me," I said as my manners that my mother beaten into my head so long ago activated.
"Hello thank you for saving us from the Grimm." The girl that I saved said greeting me.
"I almost forgot, my name is Andres MonDragon. What's yours?" I said, being friendly to the girl.
"My names Violet Rosseo," She said with a smile.
I was thanked by everybody except the fat man now known as Lien Rosseo for saving them. It turns out that Lien is Violet's uncle. I got on the carriage, but it wasn't like in the movies where it's really small and has no room the fucking thing was huge 8 horses was pulling it with two part connecting first part was the bedding area I was going to sleep with them in there, but Lien said I wasn't allowed. I was ok with it. I was getting a free ride and the second part of it was how a carriage from Skyrim looked like, but was much bigger where you could stand up and train which I and Clover Creson the green haired woman are going to do in a bit. I and Clover were at the back carriage with space for her to train me, but first, she says these basic rules
"Rule number One of fighting. Always know where your enemy is, if you don't it will decrease the chance of you surviving the fight." She said giving me the cold hard truth instead of sugar coating it.
"Rule number Two, always keep your weapon in front of you, if you don't you'll give them an advantage against you, don't underestimate your opponent ever." Never get cocky and always focus.
"Rule number Three, no fancy moves. That wastes energy and the enemy won't let you live because you looked cool." This is the reason I always get angry at anime shows because they waste energy doing cool flips instead of using it towards their life or death fight, well time for me to make it up for them.
"Now show me your stance with your Longsword." I show her my stance, my left foot in front, my body tilted to the side, and both hands on the hilt of the blade with it upfront with my foot.
"Good, but scoot your left foot closer to your body, also bend your knees so you can move immediately." She said as I followed her advice. We went over all of my weapons and what stance to use for them and how to use them without making stupid mistakes like I already did today.
"You don't have an Aura do you, Andres," She said concerned
"No I don't, but I'll be fine I hope. How do you unlock your Aura anyway none of the people I've talked to have said how to?" I said curiously to find this power that will help me immensely in my quest.
"Well either you train until you unlock it, you put all of your willpower to survive a stressful time, or have someone unlock it for you which I won't do." She said it all with confidence
"Wait if you can unlock it for me why not?" I say asking why not
"Because it will put a link between us, not in the I know what your thinking type, but the emotional type I get all of your feelings sent to me and me to you and I don't want to go through that again." She said ruining my dream of Aura and saying something interesting.
"You unlocked someone Aura before, haven't you," I say, putting the pieces together.
"Yeah I have, but it's personal ok drop it." She said seriously. After the awkward silence we kept training, not in the we fight each other way, but in the fake combat way so I wouldn't get hurt because I had no Aura to protect me and she'd tell me when I got hit by a blow. It turned nightfall after our training and we stopped the carriage to set up camp in an opening as everybody started to sleep Clover spoke
"That was pretty good, you're a fast learner." She said impressed
"Normally I'm not, but for Athletics, I advance in it very quickly," I say remembering all the times I learned a sport almost immediately and got really good at it. Probably because of how competitive I am, I don't like being the worst and I hope that is transferring to me fighting too.
"Well, that's good for you because you are more likely to live because you know how to fight." She said sagely
"Clover, how does Kakaroki look like?" I said, hoping Link would be there. How cool would that be if I met the Legendary warrior?
"Well it's not really a Village, but a town it's well defended and the people there live like how you would in Vale because they're so close to each other. The technology is about the same as Vale's and it's an outpost for Vale just in case another Kingdom attacks." She said as getting ready to sleep in a sleeping bag
"Hey aren't you going to take watch," I said curiously why she was starting to sleep
"You're a part of the team now, you take watch. I'm going to finally get some beauty sleep holler if Grimm appears." She said while her eyes were already closed. Yeah, I can be on watch. It's the least I can do when I'm getting trained and getting to Kakariko Village faster than alone and I have never been a complainer. I kept watching looking at the forest looking around. I had an idea. I grabbed a bunch of twigs off the ground and surrounded our campsite. We would hear Grimm coming if they do. As I finished I went back on top of the carriage to have the best view of the area.
"You are quite ingenuitive aren't you." I hear a voice under me startling me, it was Violet.
I thought about her question. "Hey, Violet, and yeah most of my life I always thought out of the box for some reason people always thought I was weird for doing that." Maybe I was weird. I did bring a scrap gauntlet to school because of my paranoia of school shooters, but hey it helped me beat Dovoca. Also being Weird is just a Side Effect of Being Awesome.
"Well, I think it makes you a good person making sure we are safe around you." I thought about what she said I did bring my gauntlet to school because I want to stop the school shooter if it ever happened
"Thanks, Violet why aren't you in bed?" I say curiously
"I couldn't sleep that Beowolf really got to me," She said admitting her fear of the monster
"Well come on up here we can be on watch together." I invited her to do some work.
"Thanks, they never let me take watch," She said as she climbed to my level
"No problem, but why not?" I say interested
"I'm the Mayor's daughter of Kakariko Village so everyone wants me to have the best of everything and pamper me, which I really hate."
"Your father must really love you," I say, remembering the feeling when my parents gave me hugs everyday. No, don't think of that especially out here in the wild.
"Yeah he does, but he lets love cloud his sight." She said telling me of her father's weakness
"What do you mean," I say curious
"Lien he's not a good man he's a slob that leeches off my father's money, and a coward. My father loves him, but that clouds his mind of how horrible of a man he really is." She said with venom in her voice
"What makes him such a horrible person, being a slob, coward, and a leech makes him a bad person, but not a horrible person?" I say trying to get information out of her.
"He wants to be Mayor and is using my father's clouded mind to try to have a coup d'etat and take over and rule with force." She said telling me of Lien's plans of forcefully taking over Kakariko Village.
"Have you told your father about this?" I said, coming up with plans already even though I am not a part of this.
"Yes, but he's convinced that I'm just making accusations to get rid of him," She said as a tear ran down her face.
"Do you have any evidence on him?" I say, needing all of the info to make a plan.
"Yes and I have it with me, but I need to get to my father before the coup d'etat happens. My fathers and Village lives are on the line. I need to save them." We sat in silence and I decided to help her
"No, you don't have the time to be a knight in shining armor, you need to turn the sca.."
"Paarthurnax shut up, I won't let people die because of my inaction to do anything and I will still keep the deal I just need to help them," I said in my head and he stayed quiet
"Violet I'll help you get the evidence to your father," I say with conviction in my voice. As the word came out of my mouth she jumped at me, grabbing me and pulled me into a hug my family would normally give me, it felt really nice as I hugged her back.
"Thank you, Andres." She said with tears of gratitude. As we talked a bit more about some not important stuff she went back to bed and I kept watch, but without me or Violet knowing Lien was listening in on our whole conservation and he thought one thing, I need to call Them.
As the 2 days went on with me being trained by Clover we did the basics of how to not overdo a strike and the best way to kill Beowolves. We began to grow closer. She was a lazy worker who did it for the money for her family on an island called Menagerie and we had fun swapping stories of our past.
I told her about the time how my sister who is 14 at this time would wrestle with me at a young age of 8 and one day we were playing on the couch and she decided to suplex me off the couch and she did and a cracked happened not my head no the fucking tiled floor cracked from my forehead and I cried for hours feeling the giant bruise on my head. Clover thought that was hilarious and said that's why I was so hardheaded when I'm training
"I'm not that Stubborn," I said weakly defending myself
"Yes you are, you didn't stop training until you swung your Longsword right and that took you hours to do." She said bring up an example.
"I just need to train as much now when I have the time before I have to fight so I can have every advantage I can get," I said seriously
"Why do you need to fight though, go to your family they probably miss you," She said trying to reason with him
"My people, my family is being held hostage and I made a deal to kill a woman to free them," I said not telling her I came from another world that was attacked by Dragons because she'll think I'm crazy, but instead I told her very little information
"And you believe them," She said suspiciously of my dealer
"I have to if there's a little bit of a chance they can live I'll take it," I said with the saying I say in my head every day to motivate myself to get up in another world that doesn't have my family or anyone familiar just strangers, but now I have Clover as a friend now maybe I can tell her about it one day.
"Well, that means we need to double time the training then," She said getting up and getting ready to train me more. I smile while getting up from resting to train some more.
"I guarantee my side of the deal if you do complete your side," Paarthurnax said telling him he will stay true to the deal.
After another day we finally we arrived at the outpost to Kakariko Village while I was playing with one of Clover's smoke bombs that she has on her strap, but something was wrong there wasn't any guards and my instincts flaring up, I put the smoke bomb in my pocket and grabbed my Revolver and started to survey the area looking for anything suspicious then out of nowhere five people with animal characteristics which I didn't notice and Grimm masks on surround the carriage. Fuck they had guns I was about to tell the driver to book it, but they already got to the driver and took over the carriage. I put my Revolver in the holster and put my hands up knowing that I can't take on all five of them out in the open.
"All of you get outside and line up," One of them said, probably the Leader. We did as he said in the fear of being shot.
"One of you has some information that we can't have getting to the Mayor and we want it now or we start offing you pathetic Humans," The Leader said, but if he's talking about the evidence that Violet has then they're going after her, but how do they know unless they have a mole, I suspect Lien dammit I need a plan…..I got it.
"Ok enough playing around get me one of these people," The Leader said to one of the grunts. They dragged an old lady who was struggling to get away, but couldn't she was one of the people I don't talk to at all with and they put her on her knees with her head down. Tears were coming down her face begging to be spared, rage started to fill me and I wanted to help her get away, but the plan won't work if I do it too soon. The Leader put a gun to her head, but before he could pull the trigger Violet ran up with the evidence that they were looking for.
"Here now please let us go!" She said practically begging them.
He grabbed the files from her hand "Thanks girlie, you know you could be of some use to me still." He said with a creepy smile that I wanted to shoot so bad, maybe I'll get to. I grabbed the smoke bomb from my pocket and threw it at his feet immediately. A huge cloud of smoke covered us. I ran into the smoke cloud and grabbed the files from his hand with my left hand and grabbed Violet's with my right hand and pulled her.
"Run get to the Village I'll distract them!" I said to them, "Violet take the files and run to the Village, go through the forest to warn them of the coup d'etat, go run!" I said she was right behind the others that were running to the Village except for Lien. He was nowhere to be seen. I knew he was the mole dammit.
I pull out the Revolver readying myself for a firefight because like hell I'm going at them with nothing but a Sword, that's just suicidal. Shoot once into the smoke hoping to hit something and I did. I heard a bloody screech, yes they don't have Aura. I moved from that position to confuse them as only four of them came out of the smoke one of them must be chasing the others fuck, they searched my previous position and I aimed at them again and fired.
I hit one in the back of the head killing him instantly, god I have to kill them, I really don't want to, but it needs to be done. Three more of them and now they were furious and shouting that they were going to mutilate my corpse after they gut me, Jesus they need some therapy. I shot two more rounds, but it hit nothing they were taking cover now. I got an idea I ran to a big tree, but while I was running I was shot in the back the leather chest plate took the shot, but it still hurt like a bitch.
As I got to the tree I started to climb it hopefully they won't see me. They got closer to my position as I pulled my Shortsword in my right hand which is my dominant and my left my Revolver. When they were right under me I shot one in the body while dropping from the tree and landing Sword first into the chest of another. Two left was one who was shot twice on the torso from the blood on her shirt and the other one was completely healthy. The one that was shot I tried to put a bullet in her head, but the gun was hit out of my hand. The other one tackled me to the floor and started to strangle me. I grabbed my right Dagger and plunged it into the person who was on top of me. He screamed, letting go of me I took that moment to push him off of me and grabbing my Longsword to finish him. Lifting the blade over my head I was shot in the shoulder where the armor doesn't protect and I dropped the Sword in pain. I went back into cover from the bullets. I waited until I heard a click to attack the bitch that hit me. "click click click" I ran to the bitch with my final weapon, seeing the Dagger she looked panicked and put her hands up in front of her face trying to protect herself. I plunged my Dagger into where I hope her heart is. Her body twitched and then dropped lifelessly.
I pull out the Dagger from her chest and put it back into the left sheath. look at the last one who was getting up and pulling out the Dagger of his back. While he was pulling it out I immediately ran for the Revolver to put him down quick. I grabbed the Revolver, but I was tackle again he put himself on top of me again, but this time he was gonna stab me with my own fucking Dagger.
At the last second I grabbed the blade with my bare hands stopping it. I was struggling he was slowly getting the Dagger closer to my body than my instincts flared up again telling me something stupid, but I listened because you have to trust your instincts or you will die. I let go of the blade and it went through my chest plate and went an inch into my right side of my chest. Grunting I pulled out the Dagger I put away a minute ago. I stabbed his forearm going straight through it and then when he let go of the Dagger inside me. Without hesitation I pulled my Dagger out of his forearm and put it straight through his throat killing him.
Holy shit I won, but I had to kill, but fuck you do what you have to do to survive I told myself. I picked up all my weapons from the corpse that I just made. I looked back at the bodies and without a thought I threw up. I felt tears burning the edges of my eyes, but I didn't have time. I quickly snapped out of my state and looked around to where to go.
Wait where is Clover all this time…..she must be protecting the others. I felt like shit a bullet in my shoulder, my hands having two big ass cuts and my right side of my chest has a stab wound. I'll bandage them up later. I have to go make sure they make it to the Village.
Running through the forest to catch up with the rest, the two cuts on my hands It's gonna hurt when I use the Longsword if I have to. As I was running, I see the Leader, how much you wanna bet he has Aura. The pedophile was holding down a fat lady and his hand was going for his Sword. I ran into action with my Revolver, aiming it at him and firing four times. Two bullets hit him, but the other two were nowhere to be seen, the bullets hit him, but they just bounced off of him, yep Aura dammit I don't think I can win this.
"Who did that," He said angrily getting shot
"I did fuck face," I say while shotting the rest of the bullets. Reloading I ran from my position to put distance between us because he has Aura and I don't, but if I can damage him enough it will go down hopefully soon. I keep this up two more times until he catches up to me. I put the Revolver back into the holster and pulled the Longsword from my back ready to fight him. He tried to downward slash me. It was incredibly fast, but I blocked it. He kept attacking me with smoothly coordinated attacks, but soon they became more ferocious so I kept my guard up until he overhit and became unbalanced from it.
Then as I predicted he overhit and started to fall I sprang into action and vertical swinged at him, but then he dodged it like he knew it was coming and slashed at me hitting my vambrace making a metal on metal ring that was loud. I back stepped and sheathed my Longsword and unsheathed my Shortsword with my left and pulled my Revolver that had my final bullet. I fired the shot straight at his head getting him and his Aura flared up either that means it needs a little more to break or his Aura is gone. I holster my now useless gun and pulled my right Dagger readying myself for his next barrage. He was getting angrier and more frustrated than before, seriously this guy has some problems.
"You Humans are useless, you can't even protect the others, my team is going to be after them when they get here!" He spat out. He doesn't know I already killed his team. I can use that, but damn is that really fucked up.
"I think I'm pretty useful because your team is gone, they won't cause no more trouble," I said with a fake smile, fuck I really hate myself for doing that, but it's necessary. It took him a second to understand what I said and with the realization, he started to cry with anger very clearly on his face.
"You monster, all of you Humans are all the same, always killing," He said while running towards me with his Sword ready for a reckless overhead swing. I waited for the opportune moment to move and hit him with both blades in my bleeding hands. He was pushed back from my stabs and his body again was covered in Aura, but this time it looked like it broke. He balanced himself and dropped his weapon which confused me and he lunged at me with incredible speed. He was on top of me for the third time this day and started to punch my face.
Stunned by the hits, my right hand traveled slowly to my left Dagger and pulled it out and plunged it into his back, but he didn't stop, instead, he started strangling me. I kept stabbing his back, but he didn't stop. When I changed targets instead of his back I went for the wrist. As my blade hit his wrist it almost cut it off completely except for the still strains of meat attached. He screamed and I pushed him off and rolled away.
He was on his two feet holding his almost cut off hand to his stump. "I will kill you for that, but before I do, I'll make you suffer!" He said leaving and running away. I picked myself off the ground feeling like how I felt after my fight with Dovoca. I felt only pain.
I grabbed all of my weapons and kept going the way to Kakariko Village. As I was running, I found the road and kept going down it to the Village. My backpack was on the carriage and now it was probably gone fuck, all that effort through Beacon for it and now it's just gone. After an hour of running my vision was getting blurry from blood loss, but I was in view of the Village gate. I kept walking and saw Violet and the other getting into the Village by the guards, then I heard a noise from my right. I stopped and grabbed my Longsword getting ready to fight again. This time I'll be ready, but it wasn't another masked person, it was Clover. Relaxing I put my Sword away.
"Clover, where have you been I could have used your help fighting off those guys?" I said relieved that Clover was alright, but something felt off. "Come on Clover, let's get to the Village to tell the Mayor of Lien's plan of betraying him," I said telling her my plan to warn the Mayor of the coup d'etat. I looked at the Village and said "Let's go bef..." I muttered as I was put in a chokehold, I couldn't breathe. I fought trying to escape, but it was fruitless. The person was incredibly strong. I felt pure fear, but then I remembered why I had to keep fighting. Then I felt a burst of energy through my body and I threw a punch that had everything I had into it to the person behind me. I felt the hit connect and a grunt that sounded from a woman then my vision faded into blackness. I collapsed to the ground after my assailant let me go. Then three people with animal parts in masks appear from the bushes
'Lieutenant what do we do with him?" A woman from the three said with venom in her voice.
"Take him to our base to interrogate," The Lieutenant said
"Yes, Lieutenant Clover." They said as they picked me up off the ground and back to their base.
