Chapter 11
The Ark
Raven walks into the cafeteria, where Nygel was. "Well, well, well. How long has it been, little bird?" Nygel asks.
"I need a pressure regulator." Raven says.
"What for?"Nygel ask.
"For regulating pressure." Raven says. Nygel chuckles.
"That's good, see you got you're mom's sense of humor." She says. Raven shakes her head.
"What do you want from it?" Raven asks.
"Oh, I don't move machine parts anymore. It's too dangerous." Nygel says as she sits on a chair.
"How about settling for some herb and moonshine like everyone like every one else?"
"Save the act for someone who doesn't know better." Raven says, crossing her arms. "Just tell me what it's gonna take." She tells Nygel. Nygel stares at her for a little moment, she slowly opens her now to talk.
"I owe a favor to the chief of electrical, and he's got a thing for tough, pretty girls like you." Nygel says, ticking Raven off.
"You're joking, right?" Raven asks.
"I never joke about business, Raven. Kane's watching by every move, so I I'm gonna do this, you're gonna need to make it worth my while." Nygel says.
"By screwing the chief of electrical?" Raven asks. Nygel shrugs, Raven looks at her.
"I can't do that." Raven says.
"Well then, I guess you don't need to regulate pressure as badly as you thought you did." Nygel says.
"Go float yourself, Nygel." Raven hisses as she begin to walk away.
"You know, your mother would've taken that deal." Raven turns around, anger on her face.
"In fact, she did, many times." Nygel says. Raven angrily rushes towards Nygel and grabs her by the collar.
"DON'T YOU DARE TALK ABOUT MY MOTHER THAT WAY!!!" Raven roars as guards rushes towards Raven and pulls Raven out of the room.
"NO, NO, GET OFF, I'LL FLOAT YOU NYGEL, GET OFF ME!!!" Raven screams out, struggling to get loose off the guards arms.
"Bye, little bird." Nygel says, smirking as the guards take Raven out the room.
The ground
Bellamy, Finn, Wells and Clarke were in the tent with Charlotte. Murphy, who was bloodied up, was outside with others ranting about injustice and how the little bitch needs to pay for what she did just like he did.
"Are you alright?" Clarke asks Wells, who winces.
"Yeah I'm fine Clarke." He says.
He looks at Charlotte, she looks away. She shakes her head, tears filling her eyes.
"I'm sorry". She says, voice breaking.
"Why, Charlotte?" Bellamy asks.
"I was just trying to slay my demons." Charlotte says.
"What is she talking about?" Clarke asks. Bellamy turns his head to Clarke.
"She misunderstood me." Bellamy says as he turns back to Charlotte.
"Charlotte, that is not what I meant." Bellamy says.
"BRING THE GIRL OUT, BELLAMY!!!" Murphy yelled from outside the tent.
"Pease, don't let them hurt me." Charlotte says, sobbing. Bellamy looks at Wells, Finn and Clarke.
"Look, if you guys got any bright ideas, speak up." Bellamy says. They shake there heads.
"Oh, so now you stay quiet!" Bellamy says angrily.
"Those are your boys out there!". Finn says back
"This is not my fault!" Bellamy shouts.
"If Clarke would've listen to me, those idiots would still be building the wall." Bellamy says.
"YOU WANNA BUILD SOCIETY, PRINCESS?! WELL COME ON, LET'S BUILD A SOCIETY!! COME ON BEING HER OUT!!!" Murphy yells out.
"Please, Bellamy." Charlotte pleaded. Bellamy crouches down and puts his hands on her arms.
"Hey, it's gonna be okay. Just stay with them." Bellamy says.
"How about this? Me and Bellamy will go and distract them while you, Clarke, and Charlotte sneak out of the tent through the back. There's a bunker I haven't told you about not too far in the woods." Finn tells them. They all nod as Bellamy pats Charlotte's arm and walks out the tent with Finn. Murphy walks towards them.
"Well, well, well. Look who decided to join us." Murphy says.
"Dial it down and back off." Finn says. Murphy walks closer.
"Or what? What are you gonna do about me? Hang me too?" Murphy asks.
"I was was just giving them what they wanted." Bellamy says Murphy scoffs.
"You know what? How about we do that right now?" Murphy asks as he turns to the hundred.
"So, here wants to see the real murderer hung up? All in favor?" Murphy asks them.
A few people raises their hand. Murphy looks at them, his face filled with anger.
"I see. So it's ok to string me up for nothing, BUT WHEN THIS LITTLE BITCH CONFESSES, YOU JUST LET HER WALK?!!! Murphy shouts with anger. The hundred stays quiet.
"COWARDS, ALL OF YOU ARE COWARDS!!!" Murphy roared.
"HEY, MURPHY, ITS OVER!!" Bellamy yelled out as he and Finn walks over to him. Murphy stares at him. He makes a little shrug.
"Whatever you say boss." Murphy says.
Bellamy turns around and walks away. Murphy grabs a log and slams Bellamy in the back of the head with it and punches Finn.
"YOU SON OF A BITCH!!" Octavia screams out. She runs towards as Jasper tries to stop her just as Murphy punches him in the face, sending him to the ground. Murphy looks at the few teens.
"Come on, lets get the girl." Murphy says. They nod as they rushed to the tent and sees that weren't there. Murphy looks around.
"CHARLOTTE!! CHARLOTTE I KNOW YOU CAN HEAR ME!! AND WHEN I FIND YOU, YOU ARE GONNA PAY!! Murphy roars out in anger as Wells, Charlotte and Clarke were running into the woods.
"It's gonna be night soon Wells, how much further?" Clarke asks.
"Don't worry, we're almost there." Wells says. Charlotte reaches to hold Clarke's hand. Clarke snatches back as if the touch burned her with disgust on her face.
"What the hell do you think you're doing?" Clarke hissed. Wells turns around.
"We might have saved you, but that doesn't mean you're forgiven, got it?" Clarke asks. Charlotte looks down.
"Clarke," Wells says. Clarke turns around.
"What? She tried to kill you. Why are you forgiving her?" Clarke asks.
"Because I understand why she did it." Wells says as he walks over and crouches down to Charlotte.
"I'm sorry, I-I had to." Charlotte sobs.
"Hey, look, it's okay, I understand why you did. But that doesn't make it ok. You can't kill someone just to make yourself feel better, okay?" Wells asks. Charlotte sniffles, then nods. Wells nods as he stands up and looks at Clarke.
"CHARLOTTE!!!!! CLARKE AND WELLS CAN'T SAVE YOU!!!" They hear Murphy in the distance.
"We should run". Clarke's says. They start to run as they stop. Wells taps his foot on the door to the bunker. He opens up a hatch to a bunker.
"Get in". He says. They climb down, Charlotte goes first, then Clarke, and then Wells as he closes the hatch. It was dark. They start to take their flashlight out. They look around. The bunker had shelves, a table, some supplies, a bed, a couch, and a sink. It had everything.
"Wells, what is this place?" Clarke asks. Wells turns around.
"Dunno, but we stay here for now." Wells says.
The Ark
Raven walks inside the medical room, where Abby was in. Abby looks at her.
"Why are you here?" Abby asks.
"I messed up. I can't get the part. Nygel wants me to-," Raven says.
"You went to Nygel?" Abby asks, cutting her off. Raven nods.
"Kane's been trying to get her for years. Did anybody see you?" Abby asks. Raven shrugs.
"I don't know. No Abby, I'm trying to tell you. We can't launch today." Raven says.
"Are you sure Nygel has the part?" Abby asks.
"She can get one, yeah." Raven says. Abby nods.
"Ok. I'll take care of it." Abby says as she walks past Raven.
"What are you gonna do"? Raven asks. Abby turns.
"The less you know the better". Abby says as she walks out of the medical room.
Abby walks the room Nygel was in. Nygel looks at her.
"Hello Dr. Griffin." Nygel greets.
"Nygel." Abby greets back. She hands her an object. Nygel looks at it.
"Morphine. What do you want for it?" She asks.
"Pressure regulator." Abby says. Nygel scoffs.
"Looks like I underestimated Raven. How does a girl like that get such a well-connected benefactor?" She asks.
"You got three seconds to decide. Deal or no deal?" Abby asks. Nygel nods as she grabs the morphine. Abby walks away.
The bunker
Wells tucked Charlotte to sleep. He walks towards Clarke.
"Can't believe Finn never told us about this." Clarke says.
"I mean, can you blame him?" Wells asks.
"Some of this stuff could be useful." Clarke says.
"Like what? There's no weapons. All the food expired, like, three-hundred years ago." Wells says, holding a jar of colored pencils.
"Yeah, But we could repurpose. Share with the group." Clarke says.
"You can share this with the group if you like". Wells says, handing her the jar. She smirks as she grabs it. Wells sits down on the couch. "What'd you find?" He asks. Clarke sits down beside him.
She looks at a old picture of a family. She sighs.
"Looks like they never made it here." She says, showing Wells the picture.
"No. I figured the bombs took them by surprise. All this preparation. What a waste." He says.
"I don't know. Maybe they were lucky. They Couldn't have survived down here more than a few years, then when they ran out of food, or lost their minds, they would've opened the doors and... been dead within a few days. Back then, maybe sooner." Clarke says. She puts the photo away. She looks at Charlotte, who was pretending to sleep.
"Anyway, what are we gonna do about her?" Clarke asks Wells. Clarke shakes her head.
"If I hadn't confronted Murphy, none of this wouldn't have happened." Clarke says.
"How'd you knew it'd go down like that?" Wells asks.
"Bellamy knew. We think the grounders were a threat. Know we're trying to kill each other. There have to be consequences." Clarke says.
"We can't just let them hang people." Wells says.
"No". Clarke says.
"But hopefully we figure out what to do with Charlotte, fast before Murphy and his crew will kill us for helping her. He's not the forgive and forget type." Wells says. Clarke nods.
The Ark
Abby walks in Mecha station. She hands her the pressure regulator.
"How'd you?" Raven asks.
"Don't worry about it. How fast can you install it?" Abby asks.
"I don't know, a few hours, maybe." Raven says. Abby nods.
"Get to it". Abby says. Raven nods.
"I'm on it." Raven says as she gets back to work. Abby leaves the room.
The bunker
It was now night. Clarke and Wells were sleeping on the couch. Clarke had her head on Wells shoulder. She wakes up and looks at Wells, who was sleeping. She gets up and notices Charlotte is missing.
"Wells, Wells wake up." She wakes Wells. He gets up.
"She's gone." Clarke says.
"Shit." Wells says as he gets up.
"Come on, we gotta move." Finn says. Clarke nods as they grab their stuff and leave.
Charlotte was running through the woods as she stops. Bellamy grabs her. She screams. Bellamy puts his hand on her mouth.
"Shh, shh." Bellamy shushes her.
Murphy and his crew were looking for Charlotte with torches.
"Charlotte! You can't hide forever." Murphy says as they continue walking through the woods.
"Let me go!" Charlotte tells Bellamy as she tries to push him off.
"Hey, I'm trying to help you." Bellamy says as he grabs ahold of Charlotte.
"I'm not your sister! Just stop helping me." Charlotte says. She tries to run away but Bellamy grabs her in time.
"Are you trying to get yourself killed?" Bellamy asks.
"Just go okay? I'm the one they want." Charlotte says.
"Ok, Charlotte. listen to me. I will not leave you." Bellamy says.
"Please, Bellamy." Charlotte says. Bellamy sighs then grabs Charlotte and puts her over his shoulder.
"HEY, MURPHY. I'M OVERHERE!!!" Charlotte screams.
Murphy goes towards her screams.
"COME ON OUT, CHARLOTTE!!" Murphy yells.
Wells and Clarke were running in the woods until they reach a footprint.
"Someone else was here." Wells says. They hear Charlotte scream.
"Murphy has her." Clarke says as they get up and runs towards the noise.
The Ark
Raven was working on the pod while Abby was pacing around the room.
"Abby, how about I pace in the operating room next time you're working." Raven asks.
Abby's radio comes on with Jackson's face appearing on the screen.
"Abby, did you take morphine from the clinic?" Jackson asks. Raven turns around.
"They inventoried already? Abby asks.
"No, Kane was just here. He's on his way to mecha arrest both if you right now." Jackson says.
"You gave Nygel morphine?" Raven asks.
"She turned me in. How much longer?" Abby asks.
"twenty minutes." Raven says.
"There gonna be here in five." Abby says. She turns away. She closes her eyes and exhale. She turns back around to Raven.
"Listen to me, no matter what happens you launch that pod. Do you understand?" Abby asks.
"I'm not going without you." Raven says. Abby walks closer to Raven.
"Only one of us needs to get to the ground, Raven. The second you find those kids, you radio back. Three-hundred innocent people will die if you don't." Abby says.
"Abby they'll float you." Raven says. Abby sighs.
"Then they'll float me." Abby says as she hugs Raven. She pulls back and grabs Raven's hands.
"Tell Clarke I love her." Abby says, her eyes are being fill with tears. Raven nods as she gets to the pod.
The ground
It started to rain. Bellamy was running through the woods with Charlotte.
"Put me down." Charlotte says as Bellamy ignores and keeps running until they reach a cliff. "Damn it." Bellamy says as he puts Charlotte down. Murphy and the rest reaches them.
"Bellamy." Murphy says. Bellamy and Charlotte turns around.
"You can't fight all of us. Give her up." Murphy says.
"Maybe not, but I guarantee I'll take of few of them with me." Bellamy says as Clarke and Wells runs up to them.
"Bellamy stop!" Clarke exclaimed. She turns to Murphy.
"This has gone too far. Just Calm down. Let's talk about this." Clarke says. Murphy looks at Charlotte, who was scared. He grabs Clarke and turns her around and presses the knife up her neck.
"I'm sick of listening to you talk." Murphy says.
"Murphy, let her go." Wells says as he gets closer to Murphy. Murphy points the knife at Wells. "Back off mini-chancellor, I will slit her throat." Murphy threatens.
"No, please don't hurt her." Charlotte begs as Bellamy puts his arm in front of Charlotte.
"Don't hurt her? Ok, I'll make you a deal. You come with me, and I will let her go." Murphy says.
"Don't do it Charlotte." Clarke says. Charlotte tries to walk towards as Bellamy stops her. She tries to move as Bellamy is trying to grab a hold of her. Charlotte struggles.
"NO, NO I HAVE TO!" Charlotte screams. Bellamy pushes her away. He turns and look at Murphy.
"Murphy, this is not happening." Bellamy says.
"I cant let any body else get hurt. Or mostly, killed. Not because of me. not after what I tried to do." Charlotte says as she turns around and start to run off the Cliff. Bellamy runs after her.
"CHARLOTTE!!" Clarke screams as she pushes Murphy off and runs towards to cliff. But it was to late. Charlotte had fallen off the Cliff. Charlotte was now dead.
"No." Bellamy says. He turns around and looks at Murphy. He gets up.
"Bellamy." Murphy says just as Bellamy tackles Murphy to the ground and started punching him repeatedly.
"Bellamy stop, you'll kill him!!" Clarke exclaimed. Wells runs over and grabs Bellamy and pulls him away.
"NO!! GET OFF ME!!! HE DESERVES TO DIE!!!" Bellamy yells.
"NO!! We don't decide who lives and dies. Not down here." Clarke says. Bellamy looks at the bloodied Murphy on the ground. He looks at Clarke.
"So help me God, if you say the people have a right to decide." Bellamy says.
"No, I was wrong before, ok? But if we're going to survive down here, we can't just live by whatever the hell we want. We need rules." Clarke says. Bellamy puts his hand on his face.
"And who makes those rules huh? You?" Bellamy asks.
"For now," Clarke looks at Wells and Bellamy. "We make the rules. Ok?" Clarke asks.
"So what then? We just take him back and pretend like it never happened?" Bellamy asks.
"No! We banish him." Clarke says. Bellamy looks at her. Then walks over to Murphy and picks him up.
"Get up. If I ever catch you near camp, we'll be here, understand?" Bellamy asks threateningly. Murphy nods. He pushes Murphy away.
"As for the rest of you, you can come back and follow me, or go off with him to die, your choice." Bellamy says as he walks away. They follow, along with Clarke. Wells looks at Murphy, then walks away.
The Ark
Raven gets inside the pod and closes it, getting ready to launch as Kane and his guards walks towards the mecha station and finds Abby in the hall.
"I'm hoping, there's a logical explanation for all this." Kane says. "I still believe." Abby says. Kane sighs.
"What's the pressure regulator for, Abby? There is no bacteria, is there? Your infected mechanic, Raven Reyes. What's she up to?" Kane asks. Abby doesn't answer. Raven puts on her suit and gets ready to launch.
"Did you know, her boyfriend, Finn Collins, was one of the hundred? Your obsession, is now gonna get her floated too. If you don't tell me what you're up to, I won't be able to save her." Kane says.
"You still don't understand. I'm trying to save all of us." Abby says. Kane shakes his head and nods to the guards.
"Arrest her." Kane says. They nod as they handcuff Abby. suddenly, they hear a loud noise. Raven has launched.
"What the hell was that?" Kane asks.
"Sir, a pod launch." A guard says. Kane walks over to Abby.
"Abby, what have you done?" Kane asks.
"I have to know the truth." Abby says. Kane walks away. The guards walk Abby into her cell.
The ground
Bellamy, Wells and Clarke made it back to the camp. They explained what happened to Murphy and Charlotte to the hundred.
"And that's why we decided to banish him from the camp." Clarke says.
"Anybody got a problem with that?" Bellamy asks. They shake there heads as they walk away. Clarke looks at Bellamy.
A few minutes later. Clarke, Jasper, Finn, and Octavia standing beside Monty, who was trying to rewire Clarke's wristband so they could communicate with the Ark.
"Will we be able to talk to them?" Octavia asks.
"No, more like Morse code." Monty says. He looks at Jasper.
"Would you like to do the honors?" Monty asks. Jasper nods. Monty hands him a cord.
"That port right there." Monty says.
Jasper plugs the cord in the wristband. He steps back. The wristband sparkles. Frying everyone's wristband off. In the Ark, the hundred's vital signals went off.
"What happened?" Clarke asks.
"It didn't work. I think we just fried all the wristbands." Monty says.
Finn walks out of the dropship. Clarke follows. Jasper sits in a corner. Octavia walks up to him.
"Sit there at your own risk. I think I might be cursed." Jasper says.
"Then call me a risk taker. And Jasper you're not cursed." Octavia says.
"Unlucky then." Jasper says.
"No, brave." Octavia says.
"Brave?" Jasper asks, he sniffles.
"For what, getting my face bashed in or for ruining any chance to contact the Ark?" Jasper asks.
"No, for standing up to a bully and trying to help everyone." Octavia says.
"Yeah. And failing, both times." Jasper says.
"I didn't see anyone else step up. Did you? And I don't care how things turned out. You were brave to try. And bravery is always a rewarded" Octavia says as she leans in and kiss him. Monty turns around and sees.
She leans back and walk away. Jasper looks at Monty, who gives him a thumbs up. Jasper smiles.
Meanwhile, in Finn's bunker.
Finn throws a table around, wrecking everything. "FINN, STOP IT, CALM DOWN!!" Clarke screams.
"WE'RE DEAD TO THEM!! DON'T YOU GET THAT?!!!" Finn yells.
"No, there's still hope." Clarke says.
"Even you don't believe that. it's over, Clarke.
THERE GONNA DIE UP THERE! AND WE'RE ALONE!" Finn Exclaimed.
"WE'RE NOT ALONE!! You're not alone." Clarke says as as she places her hands on Finn's cheeks. He stares at her for a moment. Then he leans in and kisses her. She kisses back. As they start to take off there clothes. Finn brings Clarke onto the bed as he gets on top of her. He continues kissing her as they start to have sex. In space, Raven was in the pod coming down to the earth. She exhales and looks at her necklace.
