Felicity, Oliver's Omega, walked past the groups of heroes and pointed to the corresponding group as she talked, "Team Arrow is here. Team Legends is here." She walked forwards to stand by Beta Harrison Wells, Alpha Caitlin Snow, and Omega Iris West "Is that everyone?"
"I think so," Wells said.
"Nate and Amaya are back watching the Waverider." Sara said, she lifted her hand jokingly adding, "The newbies."
A blue whirlpool suddenly appeared behind the support group, "Guys. Thanks for coming," a lanky brunette Alpha said after he and two others stepped out.
Oliver crossed his arms, saying, "Barry, I thought you were bringing an alien."
"And, yeah, we did." The Alpha, Barry said gesturing to the gorgeous blonde Alpha behind him, "Everybody, this is my friend, Kara Danvers, or, as she's known on her Earth, Supergirl."
"What makes her so super," Jax asked.
Barry turned to Kara a little flabbergasted, "Well," he said gesturing for her to demonstrate for the class.
"I'm convinced," Diggle spoke quickly after Kara had floated into the air and blasted a symbol into the ground with her eyes.
I chuckled as Felicity fangirled, "Best. Team-up. Ever!"
Kara started coming around pointing towards everyone super excited she did a roll call prompting everyone to offer up their code names, "Okay. I think I have this. Oliver."
"Green Arrow."
"Dig."
"Spartan."
"Thea."
"Speedy."
"Okay, And Sara."
"White Canary."
"Jax and Professor Stein."
"Firestorm."
"Ray."
"Palmer." Ray had this cute little embarrassed look on his face when he looked up, "The Atom."
"Mick."
"Hmm?" Mick grunted through the sandwich he had just taken a bite of, "Oh. Heat Wave."
"And Chloe,"
"No codename," I said.
"No codename, no that's not possible, everyone has a codename" came from the beta that had been introduced as Cisco.
"Except It is very possible and very much reality. I don't have a codename" I said seriously I gave up my codename years ago and haven't bothered to come up with a new one.
Cisco looked incredulous before he perked up, "Well we'll just have to come up with one for you."
Kara moved on to finish her roll call with the support group, "And Iris, Caitlin, and Felicity. Whoo! Yes! And you have cold powers, but you can't use them?
"You have powers," Felicity asked Caitlin shocked.
I snorted as she responded, "It's a long story."
"Isn't everything with this kind of group," I said as we all moved to stand in a loose circle around the support group.
"Okay, Cisco, we should probably get started," Oliver said, getting down to why we were all here.
Cisco fumbled for half a second before pulling up a picture on the big screen. Barry started briefing us, "Okay. These are the Dominators. We don't know much about them."
"Except they're really strong." Kara interjected. She explained more when we all looked to her, "I heard a lot of stories about them when I was a kid. They came to my planet before I was born. They did experiments on a lot of people. Killed a lot more."
I nodded, "So like an alien boogeyman," I said as I sat on Sara's lap.
"Well, they're not the only ones with superhuman strength, I hear." Thea spoke up, pointing to Barry she said, "Barry says that you're more powerful than a locomotive."
Oliver pushed out a training plan, "We should use Kara as a stand-in for training."
"Since when is Robin Hood calling the shots," Mick protested, not used to taking orders from just anybody.
Jax spoke up to soothe hurt prides, "What I think Mick is trying to say is it would be nice if we knew who was in charge around here."
"Maybe we should take a vote." Ray proposed, "Choose a leader. Someone we can all trust."
"Well, I trust Oliver. He's got my vote," Cisco said tersely. I watched as Barry sighed at his statement.
I leaned into Sara, "looks like trouble in team flash," I said. I hummed as she laughed under her breath and shushed me.
Oliver looked down amused before he spoke decisively, "Appreciate that, Cisco, but Barry put us all together. It should be him," he nodded his approval to Barry.
"Fair enough," Cisco grumbled reluctantly.
"Okay. Cool, all right, well, I guess as Team Leader, first thing to do is start out by…" Barry trailed off nervously not really knowing what we should do.
Oliver helped him out,"Doing a test run."
Barry repeated Oliver's words, still really confused, "Let's do a test run. Yeah, let's do a test run."
Oliver fed him another line, "Against Supergirl."
"Against Supergirl, all right? Test run against Supergirl," Barry finally pieced together a full plan.
I laughed as Sara leaned forward and asked, "Are we just supposed to pretend like we don't hear him?"
Barry's voice went up two octaves as he spoke nervously, "So just suit up. Mm-kay? Look alive. We're training to fight aliens by fighting an alien, so…"
"Do it," Wells spoke.
"Suit up," Barry said, dismissing us all. We all split to go change before we started training against Kara.
I stood to the side and fiddled with my gloves as I watched everyone rush at Kara again, failing to land a single hit. "You are not getting out of training because you don't feel like it, Chloe," Sara yelled at me as she stood up from getting knocked down again.
"Let's go again," Oliver said, resetting the training run to many disappointed groans. I laughed as Mick started firing his heat gun from where he had been knocked down instead of getting up.
I moved forward rising into the air as people started to be thrown back. I shot a blast at Kara who stayed where she was instead of trying to dodge it. "Aha," I shouted in triumph as Kara was knocked out of the air, I landed next to her holding out a hand to help her up, "so Supergirl isn't invulnerable," I said as I helped her up.
We looked around as everyone started moving towards us. "Why did my blasts not work, but Chloe's did," Ray asked, pouting at his gauntlets.
"Well kryptonians are vulnerable to three things: kryptonite, electricity, and magic," Kara explained as she dusted herself off.
"So magic for the win," I cheered, "does this mean I can skip the training?"
Oliver nixed that idea, "No, this means you just became part of the test runs."
Kara and I landed after knocking everyone down for the umpteenth time, "Are you sure you want us to keep going," she asked looking worried.
"Yeah," Oliver grunted in pain as he stood up, "Yes, just give us five minutes, please."
"You still don't think you should tell them," Cisco practically yelled at Barry making it impossible for the rest of us not to hear it.
"Tell us what," Sara asked warily.
Barry sighed as he turned around, "Jax and Professor Stein found a message from me in the future saying that, right now, I can't be trusted."
"And why would future you say that," Sara asked, being the resident time traveling captain.
Barry went on hesitantly, "I think because I went back in time and changed the timeline, and now things here are different than before I left, including some of your lives." Shit this cannot be going anywhere good, I thought, preparing to dose everyone with mass amounts of pheromones, should be particularly effective considering the amount of Alphas in the room.
"Some of our lives? Like who," Kara asked.
Barry reluctantly fessed up, "Cisco. Caitlin. Wally. Dig."
"Me? Why? What happened?" Diggle said, looking around confused.
Oliver tapped him on the shoulder trying to break it to him gently, "Hey. Apparently, you had a daughter."
"I had a daughter, Barry," Dig asked incredulously.
Barry explained, "Baby John was Baby Sara."
"So, wait, you... let me get this straight. You just, uh... You just erased a daughter from my life," John looked a little devastated at the thought. I slowly started releasing calming pheromones trying to wind down everyone's tempers.
"Yeah," Barry breathed.
"You can't go back and just change things like that, Barry," Sara said, getting angry.
"I know," Barry said, simply not trying to hide from the rebuke.
"You know how hard it is for me to not alter events? To bring my sister back? But I don't, because I know the implications," Sara said, voice full of rebuke and hopelessness. I moved closer to Sara releasing some comforting pheromones for good measure.
Ray stood up looking devastated, "And all those aberrations we spent the last eight months traveling through time trying to correct... you just decided that it was okay for you to create your own?"
"We should've told 'em before," Jax said, fessing up to his part in keeping this hidden.
A cell phone went off suddenly, cutting through the tension."Guys? Guys, it's Lyla," Felicity said frantically, "The President's been abducted by the Dominators. She needs us now."
The tension still hung in the air but I reigned in my pheromone production knowing everyone needed to be clear headed going into a fight. "Okay, you guys go." Barry said, turning from Felicity to the rest of us, "All right? I'm gonna sit this one out. Obviously, you have Supergirl. She's just as fast as I am. Get the President. We can talk about this later."
We all turned and started walking away before Oliver shouted across the room, "Guys, this is cr... hey! This is crazy! Everyone is going, including Barry. I... I'm not going without him," he said resolutely.
"Then you'll be here, Oliver," Dig said seriously.
Kara tried to be a peacemaker, "Okay. You know what? Oliver, it's okay. I will go with them. We'll get the President. You stay here with Barry," we all walked out as she finished.
"Sure we're in the right place," Ray asked as we walked towards the abandoned warehouse we ended up at.
Kara landed and answered, "Oh this is the last place the President's tracer gave a signal. Must be nearby. Yep. He's in there," she said after looking at the building intently for a minute.
"How do you know that," Mick asked.
"I can see him." She said as if it was obvious, "Oh, I have X-ray vision," she explained seeing looks of disbelief.
Mick smirked and started ribbing Kara, "Oh. You can see everyone's bits with those little peepers, huh?"
Kara stammered and looked around flustered, "No, I…"
"Ignore him," Sara assured her.
"How did you get the name Heatwave," Kara asked trying to make nice
"I burned my family alive, and I like to light things on fire," Mick chuckled at her.
Not really sure how to respond she said, "Aah. Well, that's a colorful backstory." I laughed as Sara rubbed her forehead like she had a headache.
Mick outright laughed at her hesitant response, "Well, my shrink thinks so. By the way, I'm not gonna call you Supergirl. It's stupid."
"You could call me Kara," she responded, baffled.
"That won't work either."
"Well, what're you gonna shout if you need my help," she asked.
"Skirt."
Thea snorted at Mick's answer, "Seriously?"
"Seriously." Mick deadpanned before we started moving, "But I'm not gonna need your help."
We entered the building sticking together, we looked around keeping our eyes open. "Look! The President," Dig shouted.
The president yelled down at us once he heard us, "Get me out of here!"
"Something's coming." Kara said, looking around worriedly. We looked up seeing a dominator on one of the upper floors, we readied our weapons. "Release the President," Kara ordered.
I groaned as something smashed through my mental barriers, "We knew you would come," the dominator said into all of our heads.
"Did you guys hear that? 'Cause I heard it in my head," Ray said, freaked out by the voice.
"Yeah, we heard it," Sara said tensely.
"Telepathic projection," I gasped, feeling my head pound at the intrusion.
"Well, if nobody else is freaked out by it, far be it for me to panic," Ray said.
Kara spoke again, acting as the voice of our group, "You don't need to harm him to get whatever it is you want from us. Release him and nothing will happen to you."
"He's not who we want," the voice in our heads said before it lifted a weapon, the blast from which disintegrated the President.
"It's a trap," Dig yelled just as the dominator activated a machine of some kind.
The machine powered on it released a red wave that surrounded us. It started beating against my mental barriers trying to break into my- our minds. "Supergirl, do something," Mick grounded as we all started crumbling. I desperately reached for my magic trying to defend my mind from the attack. I barely had a chance to grasp control of my power before I blacked out.
I groaned as I came to, I felt like someone had taken a sledgehammer to my brain and then hit me with a pick up truck for good measure. "What happened," I said sitting up. I looked around and saw Ray and Firestorm picking themselves up off the ground. I rubbed my head as I floated off the ground to hover instead of trusting my legs to keep me up. Ray and Firestorm looked at me just as lost as I was. We all floated to the ground where everyone else was, Oliver and Barry quickly filled us in.
Felicity eagerly asked, "So, what was it like being all mind-controlled and stuff?"
I rubbed my head as I answered, "fucking awful."
"I didn't realize he had a mind to be controlled" Jax joked about Mick.
Ray spoke up as Barry super sped up to us, "Barry, about before. Message or no message, we're with you."
"Thank you," he said, grateful for the support.
"Where's Supergirl," Thea asked about our missing cohort.
Barry answered, "Scanning the city to make sure there aren't any more of the orbs that whammied all of you."
Dig looked around and asked, "Okay, so now what?"
We call Lyla. Tell her these Dominators aren't here peacefully," Oliver said. We turned to walk into Star labs before a yellow light shot down and beamed up Sara. "Sara," Oliver shouted up at the sky,
"The hell was that and how do we get Sara back," I said, pissed that a member of my pack was taken.
"Everybody inside," Barry yelled as two more lights shot down, grabbing Thea and Diggle. "Go!"
I was pissed that two members of my pack were missing, snatched up by some aliens. I paced angrily across the empty room Mick and I were in, meanwhile Mick just sat and sipped at a beer. "How can you be so calm, two members of our pack were taken," I yelled at him.
He shrugged at me, "can't do anything till we know where they are, so there's no point stressing about it." I growled as I threw myself at him yelling at him I started to punch and scratch at him. He set down his beer to restrain me. I kept growling as he held me with my back against his chest, trying to break his hold so I could keep attacking him. I felt the rumble in his chest as he growled into my ear. "Enough, Omega, calm down." he infused his voice with Alpha command, I whimpered and bared my neck as the command forced me to submit. I hung my head and fought back tears knowing Mick had no patience for most emotions. I swallowed as I leaned into him letting him hold me as I silently sobbed into his chest.
I stepped out of Mick's arms after I calmed down, "I'm going to go find out what's going on," I said as I conjured a mirror to make sure I looked presentable. Mick just huffed and went back to his beer. I strode out of the room towards the main room here at Flash HQ, just in time to join Cisco and Felicity who were going to Star City to find something of Oliver's so Cisco could try to vibe their location.
Felicity, Cisco and I were riding the elevator into Team Arrow's bunker we could hear chatter from the bunker. "Now that I'm seeing it, they're not intelligent at all. They're just mean. I can't believe it," came from a tall Beta that I could see clearly once the elevator opened.
Felicity spoke as we walked off the elevator, "Try to start. Guys, this is Cisco Ramon of Star Labs. And Chloe Kane of the Legends," she gestured to us as she introduced us.
I gave a small wave not particularly concerned with them. I sniffed lightly wrinkling my nose at the mix of aggressive Alpha scents in the air, "how can you stand all the angry Alpha down here," I asked Felicity.
"Um, I don't really notice it anymore," she said, flushing a little.
"Curtis. Big fan." the tall Beta, Curtis said to Cisco. He continued looking at me shocked, "And Chloe Kane as in the Gotham City Kanes, as in the Kane family that runs one of the biggest private security firms in the world."
"Rene Ramirez." said the shorter Alpha, "How the hell did a rich princess like you end up a vigilante?"
"Rory Regan," the last guy, a Beta, said simply. The odd thing about him was that I could sense he was connected to magic but was not himself a magical being.
I rolled my eyes before I moved forwards confidently, "Yes, I am a Gotham City Kane," I said. Turning a sharp eye on the Alpha I asked, "how does anyone become a vigilante?"
Cisco followed eyes darting around, "Ok. Curtis, you're tall," he said pointing at everyone as he moved past them, "Rene and Rory. That's two Rorys I know now. The other one, he's a douche, though. You're not a douche, are you," he asked seriously.
"No," Rory said quietly.
"Ok. Good. I just had to make sure, right?" Cisco patted Rory on the shoulder before moving past him, "Guys, we have to find Oliver and company, and I'm not talking about the cherished Disney animated film starring Billy Joel, ok? I'm talking-I got to Vibe, all right? I need something to Vibe off of, something personal," he picked up and put down multiple things as he looked around.
"I got one of his old bows here somewhere," Felicity said as she passed to go grab the bow.
"That'll do," Cisco said in a descent imitation of a scotish accent.
"Um, for those of us who don't know you as well-not me because I feel like we're best friends, we've known each other for a long time-" Curtis spoke rambling as he went, "Uh, what are you going to do exactly?"
"Oh, right. Uh, I'm about to Vibe." Cisco said, explaining his powers a little haphazardly, "It's this thing I do where, uh, I touch something. I-I can not only see the past. I can see the future, but most importantly, I can see where people are," he finished as he stepped off the raised central area moving towards where Felicity was approaching.
I leaned against a support beam and said, "and if that doesn't work I'll cast a locator spell to get an exact location."
"So you're one of them…" Rene said tensely, "Metahumans?"
"Yeah. Don't sound too excited about it."
"I'm not a Meta," I said smirking at their confused looks, "oh there has always been a lot more to the world than just humans."
Curtis asked curiously, "so then what are you?"
"I'm a sorceress," I said simply.
Rene looked aghast, "Wait, magic is real?"
"Yes," I said amused before I pointed at Rory, "your friend should know he's been touched by it and pretty regularly I'd say."
Cisco set down his bag as Felicity walked up to him holding out a broken bow, "Ok. So this is it. Just-just please don't break it any more than it is already broken." She nervously yanked it back before reluctantly presenting it to him, "Ok. Cool."
Cisco took a deep breath before he took hold of the bow, I watched as he went into a trance of sorts, "I saw them," he gasped as he snapped out of his trance, "They're in some kind of stasis, like a ship. It's, uh, a little 'alien,' a little 'Star Trek'- J.J. Abrams style- and a whole lot of tech." I sighed, If they're on a ship there's a good chance they aren't on the planet, I thought.
"You said tech," Felicity jumped in realisation.
"Yes, I said tech." Cisco sounded testy as he responded, "It's an alien spaceship, Felicity. These guys aren't amateurs."
Curtis moved towards them as Felicity stuttered, "Yeah, but-but-"
Curtis cut into Felicity's stuttering, deducing what she was trying to say, "I think where she's going is if we had some we might be able to download some Intel off it, like, including everyone's location."
"Yes," Felicity stuttered, glancing from Curtis back to Cisco.
"Hold, please," Cisco said, turning to rummage through his bag. He turned back to Felicity and Curtis holding out a metal spike, "What about this? I took it off the Dominator ship that crashed in Central City."
Felicity looked at Cisco and exclaimed both shocked and excited, "You what?!"
Curtis looked stupefied as he held the spike up to inspect, "We're gonna hack alien tech. This is seriously the best day of my entire life!"
I stood straight, "Well while the techs try that. I'm going to go make sure the Waverider is ready to move once we have a location," I said, moving to leave their base.
Rory looked at me and asked, "what about that locator spell you talked about?"
I explained quickly, "locator spells only work if the person or object you are looking for is actually on the planet. If they are on a Dominator ship then the possibility that they are on the planet is next to none," I said before I turned to walk out. "See you back in Central," I tossed over my shoulder as I got on the elevator.
