p class="MsoNormal"strongspan style="text-decoration: underline;"July 31supst/sup 1994, Norway, Bergen/span/strong/p
p class="MsoNormal"The frosty night in Bergen had driven the residents inside, the streets were baron, especially as not that many people went out at that late of an hour. That was aside from the occasional overly drunk person swaying from side to side as they walked. The houses were dark as families went to style="mso-spacerun: yes;" /spanIt meant that no one was looking at the huddle of people at the docks who were one by one boarding a large boat which was getting ready to depart./p
p class="MsoNormal"Already sat down in the boat was a pale dark-haired man, who looked relatively young. He was dressed in a pair of jeans and a grey jumper, with the hood pulled up. He glared at the stream of people who walked past him with his cold blue eyes, not that they noticed. Their eyes inexplicably passed over the table as if he wasn't even there. The man drummed the fingers of one hand onto the table as his untouched drink shook. His other hand fiddled with an unworn silver necklace, with a symbol dangling of it. It was very simplistic, A vertical line and circle enclosed by a triangle./p
p class="MsoNormal"As more and more people walked past the man, he appeared to get more agitated, his leg was now shaking a little bit, his head kept darting around his eyes almost scanning everyone around him. That was until one much older man walked in, who had a short greying beard and wore a long black robe. The man's eyes turned and met the younger man's eyes, confirming to the younger wizard that unlike the other occupants of the ship, this was no muggle./p
p class="MsoNormal"The man approached the table and sat down opposite the younger wizard, his eyes flicked over the necklace before he said to the Younger in a deep voice, "You're Zephyr's son, Jack, right? The one who has been writing letters to me."/p
p class="MsoNormal"The younger man tilted his head to the side, his electric blue eyes staring at the man's face trying to read him, after a few moments he peeled apart his tightly pressed together lips and said, "I am, you must be Hans"/p
p class="MsoNormal"At that confirmation he had the right person the man leant back in his chair as his body untensed., "That I am, I'm surprised you to were on your way to Britain as well, I must thank you for the invitation to join you on this boat."/p
p class="MsoNormal"The younger wizard replied, "I assumed you wouldn't want to be arrested by the aurors when they saw you portkey into the country, travelling in the muggle world is far safer."/p
p class="MsoNormal"The older man smiled, "That is too true, last time I ran into the aurors they came far too close to throwing me into Azkaban for the rest of my life." He looked down at the charm again, "You have the symbol of the Hallows, your father learnt of them through his time with Grindewald and passed the stories down to you, I presume?"/p
p class="MsoNormal"The younger man nodded his head and stuffed the necklace into his pocket and pulled out a small brown bag, "It's why I wanted to meet with you, he held a suspicion you may know where some of them are located."/p
p class="MsoNormal"The older man tore his eyes away from the necklace, and looked the man in the eyes, "I know something about the Hallows, however your father must also have told you I don't do things for free."/p
p class="MsoNormal"He pushed the brown bag across the table, which jingled as it went, "A fee for your information."/p
p class="MsoNormal"The older man picked up the bag and opened it, looking down on the galleons within. Pocketing the bag with a smile on his face and gold in his eyes, he said, "There have always been rumours amongst criminals that there is one true invisibility cloak, one's which enchantments never wear. As you can imagine, something like that would be incredibly powerful in the hands of a criminal. I believe that the cloak so heavily rumoured about was one of the deathly hallows."/p
p class="MsoNormal"Jack pushed him to continue, to which Hans obliged. "I went after the cloak myself; it was something I was desperate to have 10 or so years ago, I started with the tale of the three brothers itself, how much faith you put into the story is completely up to you, after all it is a Children's tale, but there was one line that stood out to me, it said span style="mso-spacerun: yes;" /span'the youngest brother finally took off the cloak of invisibility and gave it to his son.', so I tracked through pieces of family history trying to find the descendants of Ignotus Peverel and I succeeded."/p
p class="MsoNormal"Jack was hooked on the man's story, "Who are the descendants?"/p
p class="MsoNormal"Hans paused for a moment, as if waying up to ask for more gold, but he continued, "The tale of the three brothers is meant to take place in the early 13supth/sup century, the Peverel name appeared to die out shortly after. Cadmus' had a daughter, and there are no known descendants of Antioch. Ignotus on the other hand, had one son, who had a single daughter, named lolanthe Peverell, who went on to marry Hardwin Potter. I have good reasons to believe the cloak has always been handed down the family and was left with James Potter after his father's death. span style="mso-spacerun: yes;" /span/p
p class="MsoNormal"The younger wizards' eyes widened. "So that suggests that Harry Potter has the cloak now."/p
p class="MsoNormal"The old man shook his head, "I doubt it, his parents died before they would have had the chance to pass it down to him, I searched the ruins of Godric's hollow for It for hours and found nothing, either it has been taken before I got there, or they gave it to someone else that they trust, as there are no more living Potter's"/p
p class="MsoNormal"Jack continued his questioning, "Is this why you return to Britain today, to hunt down the invisibility cloak?"/p
p class="MsoNormal"The older man laughed, "No, I know a lost cause when I see one, there are too many loose ends to effectively track it down, I lost all hope of ever finding it that night at Godric's Hollow."/p
p class="MsoNormal"Jack stared at the man shocked, not understanding his lack of desire. "But if you could find it, and perhaps the other Hallows. Some say it would give you power over death itself, do you not find appeal in that."/p
p class="MsoNormal""Many greater wizards than me have tried uniting the Hallows and have failed, Grindewald being one of them. I see no hope for me." He paused for a moment, "You plan on going after them don't you Jack?"/p
p class="MsoNormal"For the first time Jack took a drink out of his glass as if stalling for time, "You can't tell a soul Hans."/p
p class="MsoNormal"Hans shook his head, chuckling a little, "You know I can't do that, if someone comes along with the right amount of money, then I will tell them anything I know."/p
p class="MsoNormal""In which case you are no longer useful to me." Suddenly there was a bright flash of green light and the older man slumped forward, the life in his eyes snuffed out. No one around them had noticed, it was truly incredible how ignorant muggles became with the use of a few charms./p
p class="MsoNormal"Jack stared at the deceased body before him, perhaps he should have stunned the man instead, Hans new many secrets, with Legilimency he would have been able to learn them himself. However, it was far to late for that./p
p class="MsoNormal"Atleast he finally had another lead, his father had told him that the last known owner of the Elder Wand was Gregorovitch, who had retired and went into hiding somewhere in Britain. And now he had a lead on the invisibility cloak. span style="mso-spacerun: yes;" /spanIt wouldn't be long before he filled his destiny of becoming the master of the Hallows', as was his birth right. After all, he was Jack Peverell/p
