Chapter Sixteen: Search and Do Not Destroy
Chris: [narrating] Last time on Total Drama Island, the teams were dissolved, leaving each and every camper to look out for number one!
[the first shot shown is of the twelve campers in their tiered seats on the amphitheater stage, the former team logos appearing on-screen and clashing against each other in a shower of stars]
And just to add a little more drama to the mix, Fiona and Mao Mao returned for more fun!
[the scene of the five girls dropping their hands and stepping apart is followed by Fiona's return, complete with the backdrop of raging flames, followed by Mao Mao's return by swinging on a vine and a shot follows of nearly all the campers in stocks during the final parts of the episode's challenge]
The campers were made to suffer all manner of abuse in the 'No Pain, No Game' challenge.
[the nose hair plucking, chainsaw haircut, and turtle puck shot tortures are shown briefly, followed by a shot of Chris spinning the wheel]
Mao Mao proved to be resilient against the various tortures set against him from log rolling bears, electric eels, and poison ivy treatment.
[the black cat's challenges are shown quickly]
And in a stunning display of brutality, Fiona managed to fight off the savage Sasquatchanakwa.
[the vixen is shown walking into the crate, and the container thrashing for a moment, before walking back out]
She won invincibility for herself, and after a little bit of discussion on who to vote for, it was Robin who got sent to the docks.
[Fiona is shown putting her arms around her new trailer, followed by her talking with Katz who is then shown speaking to Carmen. The surprise elimination transitions to Robin's final goodbye to Fox and Wolf, as well as the two watching the English vulpine off before it cuts to Chris standing on the docks]
Now that the campers are forced to fend for themselves, who will be selfless? Who will be selfish? And who will eat shellfish? Stay tuned for the most thrilling episode yet on Total…Drama…Island!
(Fade to Opening Theme)
Dear Mom and Dad, I'm doin' fine;
You guys are on my mind!
Ya asked me what I wanted to be,
And now I think the answer is plain to see!
I wanna be...famous!
I wanna live close to the sun!
Well pack your bags, 'cause I've already won!
Everythin' to prove, nothin' in my way;
I'll get there one day.
'Cause I wanna be...famous!
(Na-na nanananaa, nanana-nanaa, na-nananananaa)
I wanna be! I wanna be! I wanna be famous! (Na-na nanananaa, nanana-nanaa, na-nananananaa)
I wanna be! I wanna be! I wanna be famous! (Na-na nanananaa, nanana-nanaa, na-nananananaa)
(Fade to Episode)
[the scene opens with a shot of the moon, accompanied by an orchestral piece as it pans down to the cabins, showing Angelina and Usagi doing ballet. Both are holding a ribbon as they dance in sync with each other]
Angelina: Step and spin, and step and spin, and step and spin.
Usagi: Wow, you're really good at this, thanks for letting me try it out.
Angelina: No problem, I'm always up for someone wanting to learn the etiquette of ballet.
Usagi: Yeah, I feel a lot more refined, like I became a professional overnight.
Angelina: Well, you keep practicing and you'll ace it without a problem.
Usagi: Thanks, Angelina. You know, it's nice to just sit back and talk with each other, no challenges, or any of that stuff.
Angelina: I mean, we're dancing and talking, but your point stands. I prefer when it's like this, takes a bit of stress off my mind.
Usagi: Oh, totally. Um, is it okay if I ask you a weird question?
Angelina: Depends on how weird it is, go for it.
Usagi: Well, I was thinking…was there anyone you planned to go to the end with?
Angelina: To be honest…I hadn't really thought of it that far. I mean, it's unpredictable.
Usagi: Oh, I get that, it's just, well…I was thinking if you wanted to go to the finals together? You know, since we're close and all.
Angelina: Well, I wouldn't mind if that was the case, we've gotten on pretty well, and I can't really think of other people who I'd go up against, so I wouldn't be opposed to you.
Usagi: That's good to hear.
Angelina: But don't think I'd be going easy on you, it is a competition after all, and one of us has to win.
Usagi: Aaaaaah, you're a bit stingy there, aren't you?
Angelina: I wouldn't say stingy, just pointing out the obvious.
Usagi: Well, in that case, expect me to give 110%.
Angelina: I would expect no less.
[static buzzing]
Usagi: I'm glad I was able to get to the merge, so now the main challenge is how I'm gonna be able to last longer than everyone else here. I'm no master strategist, but maybe an answer will come to me soon…I hope.
[static buzzing]
Angelina: In the case I make it to the end, I'll have to be careful of who I might go up against. Chris did mention us going against a jury, so no doubt they'll like someone who can win over a crowd. Something I just might be able to pull off, in style.
[static buzzing]
Angelina: I'm just going to pop into the cabin to fetch something, I'll be right back.
Usagi: [as she watches Angelina go up the steps and into the room] Okay then, I'll still be here.
Katz: [off-screen] Enjoying yourselves, I take it?
Usagi: Huh? Oh, hi, Katz! We were just doing a little ballet, care to give it a spin?
Katz: [on-screen] I think I'll pass on the offer, I have other things on my mind.
Usagi: Oh, what about?
Katz: To put it simply; I've noticed that a few pairs are starting to form as of the merge. Alliances, essentially. I just want to make sure that we're still on good terms for the duration.
Usagi: Uh, well, I think we are.
Katz: Good to know, I'm aware that it's meant to be every camper for themselves, but it never hurt to have a little assurance in those you trust.
[Katz walks past Usagi and heads over to his cabin. Angelina is shown slowly opening the door from her cabin, apparently having listened in on the conversation]
Angelina: What did he want?
Usagi: Oh, him? I guess he just wanted to know if I still trusted him.
Angelina: Interesting…
[static buzzing]
Katz: With the teams dissolved, it's going to be a little bit trickier to avoid elimination without immunity. But so long as I keep the majority vote on my side, I should be in a good position. Of course, there's the debacle of which side to stick closer to; my original alliance mates, or sticking with the other men. I think I can work around that angle, which should be fun.
[static buzzing]
[scene cuts to a distance shot of the camp as the morning sun begins to rise. A flock of geese flies across the sky, and as the music plays, the scene switches over to a hollow in a tree as a squirrel climbs out onto a branch and blearily rubs the sleep from its eyes. A bird passes over it and makes a beeline to the trailer that had been won in the previous episode; it comes to a brief landing on top before the door slams open and Fiona emerges, stretching her arms and already dressed]
Fiona: Aaaaaaah, now that was a good sleep. All courtesy of this lovely trailer here.
[the scene pans down from the sun cresting over the distant hills to the docks, where Fox and Wolf sit side-by-side, legs dangling into the lake]
Fox: It's weird not having Robin around.
Wolf: I know what you mean, still surprised the guy was booted so soon.
Fox: I'm still wondering how it even happened, I thought Robin was liked among…mostly everyone.
Wolf: Who knows, maybe someone staged the whole thing and took note of that. But now we're in a tight fix.
Fox: What do you mean?
Wolf: It's now four Bass to seven Gophers, that makes us easy pickings.
Fox: Well, maybe the guys' alliance will say otherwise…if we can work together, that is.
Wolf: You might be right there, but I dunno…
[static buzzing]
Fox: It's…strange, but for whatever reason, I don't feel it in me to be hostile to Wolf, maybe I'm just losing my mind, but talking to him like this…it's actually kinda…relaxing…
[static buzzing]
Wolf: Yeah, it took a while, but it's refreshing to see Fox talking more to me in a way that isn't defensive. Makes me wonder if he'll be comfortable with…okay, I'm not gonna go that far.
[static buzzing]
[the morning reverie is broken by a shot from a cannon, the fuse lit by Chris whose currently wearing a pirate captain costume. The cannonball howls towards where Fiona is relaxing in a chair, the vixen startled out of her state of relaxation as her hard-earned trailer explodes behind her]
Fiona: GAH! What the hell?!
Chris: [into his megaphone with a stereotypical pirate's accent and similarly-themed music in the background] Arrr, maties! Meet me at the amphitheater in five minutes, and I'll tell you about today's challenge!
[a shot of the stage shows both host and assistant standing on it with a sheet-covered lump between them. Chef, like Chris, wears a pirate hat, but that's the extent of his regalia. In the foreground, the campers stream into the seats, dividing themselves according to their original teams. Fiona is the last to arrive, angrily carrying her slightly-smoking bags. Fox and Wolf share a glance, and the camera cuts to the stage proper]
Chris: Well, my little scallywags, have I got an adventure fer ye!
Charlotte: Ooooh, we're playing pirates today! What's under the sheet?
Chris: All in good time, lassie! Who here has a hankerin' for a good old-fashioned treasure hunt?
Angelina: [rolls her eyes] This is so premature.
Chris: Now, this treasure hunt's got a twist, mateys! What you're lookin' for isn't hidden! And, it isn't treasure!
Rarity: Um, doesn't that contradict the whole point of a treasure hunt?
Chris: Arr, shiver me timbers! Good question, me fair maiden! You're lookin' for keys to a treasure chest!
[on cue, Chef pulls back the sheet to reveal a stack of three gleaming chests]
Inside each of these chests is a treasure that will pamper you land-lubbers! And, one of these chests will even give you, invincibility!
[the camera pans across the campers before some of them raise their brows at the mention of invincibility. Chris laughs heartily as Chef walks into view with a metal bucket holding several of what looks to be short wooden boards]
Now come 'round, and pull a clue out of this bucket! Or you'll have to walk the plank!
[Angelina and Usagi glance at one another before cutting to a shot of Carmen rolling her eyes. It then cuts to eleven hands grabbing all at once, emptying the bucket]
These clues will tell ye where your key be stowed!
Top Cat: "With clothes of green, and bark of a dog, search me for the goods, I sleep like a log"…what's supposed to mean?
Rarity: "Go through the place, that hosts the chairs. The prize is hidden, and it's"…why is mine cut off?
Chris: Oh, it's not cut off, you just need to figure out what the last part means.
Rarity: That's…helpful?
Katz: "Standing quietly against a wall, you rarely notice me though I'm tall."
Chris: Some of you might find that your clues will lead to some rather interesting places, so good luck with that. [back with the pirate accent and on stage] Alright, ya' scallywags, go find yer keys, and bring them back by 6:00 pm, Eastern Standard Time to open up the chest, and get your loot!
[a short clip is shown of his hand inserting a key into one of the chests and it opening, a golden glow hiding the contents]
Fare thee well, young scallywags! Now get to it!
[static buzzing]
Katz: [sighs] I don't know who's the creative consultant behind ideas, but pirates? It's like I've been transported back to the days of primary school.
[static buzzing]
Rarity: Is it really fair when you're given a clue that cuts itself off at the end? What am I supposed to make of that? They're purposely trying to trip me up, I can tell.
[static buzzing]
[the footage cuts to Carmen walking through the woods]
Carmen: "From dirt, to paint, and everything in between, I'm your number one companion in keeping clean." Well, there's two options to that answer; I'll check by the river first.
[the scene cuts to the lady in red approaching the river and stops to survey the area. She pulls out a device that appears to be a pair of goggles, strapping them on her head, and then looks down from left to right]
Carmen: X-ray vision, never leave home without them.
[the perspective cuts to a POV shot as the goggles scan the area for anything that might be hiding a key, but nothing turns up, not under a rock, not under a log, not even in the river]
Carmen: Okay, so the first reading turned up negative, there's still the other one to check out. After all, what's the next best thing to water when it comes to being clean…okay, I really need to stop talking to myself before I go crazy.
[Carmen walks off, dipping her hat slightly in embarrassment]
[the scene cuts to Fiona perched up against the wall outside of the restrooms, looking down at her clue]
Fiona: "Don't frown at me, I made it clear. Won't make a difference if you're near." Yeah, these riddles are honestly so stupid.
Katz: [off-screen] Having a little trouble, are we?
Fiona: [facepalms] Oh, for God's sake. What do you want, you British twit?
Katz: Now, now, mind your tongue, we wouldn't want to do things we'd regret later, would we?
Fiona: Listen, man, you don't scare me as easily as some other people would be, so you can ditch the edgelord act.
Katz: You know, I could very well leave you to the dogs if I wanted to, and believe me, I'm very tempted to do so. But, out of the goodness of my heart, I would like to propose a deal, your assistance if you will.
Fiona: What's in this deal, and tell me, what am I gonna benefit out of it?
Katz: It's rather simple; you help me with my key, I help you with yours, and the both of us make a pact not to vote against one another in case neither of us wins immunity.
Fiona: Hold on, I thought you were already in an alliance, or so I've heard.
Katz: That's not exactly false, but I was thinking of aligning with someone more…cunning, cutthroat, even. A reminder of myself in a way.
Fiona: Well, I am pretty cutthroat if I do say so, and given my current position, I suppose I'm no place to deny any sort of ally…okay, Red, you've got yourself a deal. [extends her hand out]
Katz: Good to know, I look forward to doing business with you…[extends his hand out as well]
[a split-screen shows Katz and Fiona crossing their fingers behind their backs]
[static buzzing]
Fiona: Okay, so the creepy English guy's offered to help me, at least I know I kinda have a barrier, but it's not gonna be enough given everyone's suspicious of me. I suppose I'll have to do it the old fashioned way; playing the trooper.
[static buzzing]
Katz: I'm already in a solid spot at present, but it doesn't hurt to have some extra assistance, especially since it gives me the opportunity to meddle with those less fortunate. Fiona's already on thin ice, so she'll be desperate for my help, and since we're not on teams anymore, I have a wide range of options to align with, including how loyal I'm feeling to them.
[static buzzing]
[the footage cuts back to a shot of a key hanging on a wooden pole in the lake, the shot expanding to reveal a trio of shark fins circling it and Mao Mao standing on the dock]
Mao Mao: "In a bowl or on a hook, just keep me somewhere you can look." Apparently, that included putting a key right in the middle of the lake…that man confuses me sometimes. [shrugs] Oh well, no time like the present. If I can take on beasts, I can handle a few measly sharks. [leaps off the dock and dives into the lake]
[the perspective cuts to underwater as Mao Mao surveys the sharks swimming around the pole. Without a sign of hesitation, he swims closer to the pole, even as he gets closer, his face remains the same. The feline is only just about to reach the pole when the sharks notice his presence. As they draw closer to him, Mao Mao suddenly leaps up from the water, through the air in a somersault, and lands on his tiptoes on the wooden pole, grabbing his key]
Mao Mao: Haha! That was easier than I thought, looks like someone might need to up the ante if they wanna test this cat, hehe. [looks down to see the sharks swimming around the pole] Well, boys, it's been fun and all, but I'll just be taking this key and win my well-earned immunity. [quirks a brow] Oh, you think I won't? Well, just watch me.
[scene cuts to Rarity looking around the elimination center, trying to spot anything behind or under the wooden stumps]
Rarity: Ooooh, where is it? This clue is just screwing with me, there's nothing under these chairs, or next to them. Am I gonna have to look under every chair on this island for a single key…[whines]...eeeeeeeeeeeh, why me? [sighs] I guess I'll have to check the messhall, wow, just my luck…
[scene cuts to Charlotte looking over her clue as she sits on the cabin steps]
Charlotte: "I may look like a snake, but nothing to fear. You use me in the garden when spring is near." Mmmmm, snake, garden, spring, that's a puzzle. [taps her foot on the step] Snake, garden, spring, snake, garden, spring…[taps her foot as if to a rhythm]
[the music starts to pick up as the background changes]
Snake, garden, spring, what will it bring?
My key's somewhere, hidden in something
It could be in a bottle, or a box, or a boat
It could be at the top of a mountain with a Billy Goat
Snake, garden, spring, what will it bring?
A deck of cards, a magic lamp, a diamond ring
I wonder what my prize will be
I just need to find my key
Snake, garden, spriiiiiiiiing…
[static buzzing]
Chris: Okay, that wasn't even edited, that happened all on its own. Is that girl somehow…nah, I'm prolly just losing my mind…[picks up a cup of coffee from the ground and gulps down the whole thing]
[static buzzing]
[scene cuts to black, the episode continues]
[the footage shows Usagi walking near the rockwall as she examines her clue]
Usagi: "Though you might not notice, I'm always here, to hold your zines, your snacks, and beer." Sounds like a table, but then again, the dining hall would be too obvious. [sighs and looks up] Guess I'll have to keep search-[cuts herself off when out of the corner of her eye, she sees a table on top of the mountain]-iiiiiiiiiing? [groans] Do I really have to climb up this wall to fetch a stupid key? Hoooooooooooo, and I don't even have any climbing gear…[puts a hand on her chest, right where her broach is]...huh…[looks from left to right]...I guess it wouldn't hurt to get it down like that…[picks up her broach and holds it up]...Moon Prism Power Makeup!
[a transformation sequence similar to that of Usagi's origins is shown before she looks back up at the table]
How dare you deny my prize being all the way up there, trying to ruin my chances of winning is unacceptable! I'm Sailor Moon! And now in the name of the moon, I'll knock you down!
[Katz is shown walking through the woods when he suddenly hears Usagi's exclamation. Quietly, he goes over to where the noise was at and hides behind the trees to witness the pigtailed girl in position. Another reminiscent sequence plays of Usagi/Sailor Moon ready to throw her tiara like a boomerang]
Moon Tiaraaaaaaaaa…Action!
[the tiara flies through the air, hits the leg of the table, which sends the key falling down and right into the Sailor Guardian's hand]
And that's how it's done.
[as the girl jumps off, unbeknownst to her, a pair of eyes have been watching from behind]
[static buzzing]
Usagi: Well, no one said anything about not being able to use magic.
[static buzzing]
Katz: Okay, perhaps I underestimated how powerful Usagi is when she's in Sailor form. Yes, I know that's her, practically anyone with working eyes should be able to see it. However, going up against someone with magical capabilities could pose a problem.
[static buzzing]
[scene cuts to Top Cat walking around with his clue]
Top Cat: Pacing out here with little to no luck of finding a measly little key, this stupid hunt couldn't possibly get any more diffi-[runs into a tree]-ow…agh, let's read the clue again, who cares…yadda, yadda, log, green…wait a minute…maybe it's simpler than I thought. Log, green, bark, it's a tree! I figured it out, I…[realizes that there's a whole lot of trees around here]...I feel like I'm gonna die…[plops onto the ground with muffled frustration]
[static buzzing]
Top Cat: I mean, seriously, a clue about a tree, when we're literally surrounded by forest?! Could you be any more ambiguous?!
[static buzzing]
[scene cuts to Angelina observing her clue]
Angelina: "Keep me near, and you'll see. Evenings will be just as comfy." That's not even a riddle, it's just common sense. [steps into the girls' cabin to search under the pillows] Not here…not there…[as she pulls up Charlotte's pillow, she's startled by Squirrely chittering at her] Oh! Sorry about that…[goes to pull up Carmen's pillow] Gotcha!
[scene cuts to Wolf looking through the supply shed]
Wolf: "It just helps to flick my switch when in the dark you sense a twitch." Yeah, sure…where's that stupid…[tosses aside various objects]...paddle…lifevest...first aid…damn it, they gotta have it somewhere in here…[looks up to see a flashlight sitting on top of a pair of dusty crates]...bingo! [grabs the light from off the top and opens up the battery compartment]...and O'Donnell scores another one.
Fox: [off-screen] You found your key yet?
Wolf: [steps out from the shed] I most certainly did, no riddle can outsmart this lupine.
Fox: Oh, yeah, I'm sure, well, you'll be glad to know that I also got mine. You'll never guess where I found it.
Wolf: Alright then, spill.
Fox: My clue read: "My sweet aroma fills the room, you close your eyes and whiff my fumes." I was a little put off at first, but then I remembered the coffee machine and I found this thing hiding in it.
Wolf: Well, looks like we got a regular Sherlock on our hands. Anyways, let's get these keys in so we can cash out on those stupid prizes.
[at that moment, Top Cat falls out from above them, landing closest to Fox. The yellow cat is covered in twigs and leaves]
Top Cat: I…I got it…my key's been salvaged…
Fox: Um, are you alright?
Top Cat: Oh, yeah, yeah, I'm fine, I'm fine, I'm perfectly fine…
Wolf: Do you need some…help there?
Top Cat: No, no, I got it, I can walk myself…to the end of this stupid game…[walks off with a slight limp]
[scene cuts to the exterior of the messhall before cutting to the interior where Chef is sleeping with a knife held in his hand, and leaning on a chair with his legs propped up on a table. Something drops down from behind him and makes its way over to the refrigerator door. A red hand reveals it to be Katz as he slinks into the fridge and grabs his key. He then slithers up to a rope which is being held by Fiona on the roof]
Fiona: Hurry up, he's gonna spot us.
Katz: Not when we're as quiet as mice…[climbs back up the rope]
[scene cuts to Rarity coming out of the messhall looking frustrated]
Rarity: ARGH! Stupid clue! I've searched under every chair on this island and still no key! [huffs to sit on the steps] Of course I got the one that was cut off at the end, it's not fair…chair, fair…wait…chair, fair…chair-[claps her hands] Of course! Why didn't I see it before?! Go through the place that hosts the chairs, the prize is hidden under the stairs! [looks underneath the stairs to the building and finds something golden sticking out] Yes, I found it! [picks up the key] I can finally go cash in my prize! [skips off joyfully]
[the footage shows the campers gathered at the firepit with their keys]
Chris: [with a boot on the end of a row of chests] Yarr! It be time to claim your treasure! Those fortunate enough to bear a precious key, come forth to claim it!
[the first one to use his key is Top Cat who opens his chest with a look of surprise and…well, slightly on fritz]
Top Cat: I climbed several trees, fell from them, almost broke my limbs…for a bag of chips and a candy bar…haha, haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa…
[the next key to be used comes from Angelina, revealing a mirror]
Angelina: Oh, in surprisingly good condition.
[Katz and Rarity are shown opening up their respective chests, the former receiving a lava lamp and the latter holding up a gift basket with a gold-bordered red card sticking out prominently]
Rarity: Hooooooo, all that scavenging was worth it, I'm immune! [hugs her basket]
Katz: [rolls his eyes] Good for you…
Fiona: Aw, shit…[opens up her chest to reveal two-liter soda bottles]
[next to Fiona, Carmen stands with an accordion and Charlotte is standing by with a toaster. Wolf is next shown opening his chest to reveal a slip of paper]
Wolf: "Congratulations, you've won a gift card for the Tucke Shoppe"...how nice.
Usagi: Ooooooh, I got a place for my pen now! [holds up a pink Inkpen kit]
[the scene cuts to the campers sitting on the stumps looking at their various prizes; Carmen with her accordion, Charlotte with her toaster, Mao Mao with a bottle of shoe polish, Fox with a pair of hunting gloves, Rarity with her basket, Angelina with her mirror, Top Cat with his treats, Wolf with the gift card, Katz with the lamp, Fiona with her soda, and Usagi with her kit]
Chris: I hope everyone got the treasure they were looking for and more! But now, it's time to do your duty and send one of you off the island, for good. So cast your votes, and I'll see ye buccaneers back at the campfire after sundown! Arr, ha-harrr.
[scene cuts to Carmen sitting on the steps of the girls' cabin as she plays her accordion, nearby on the steps of the boys' cabin, Fox and Wolf are listening in on it]
Carmen: This reminds me of when I was on vacation in France, as per the plan to steal the Effiel Tower.
Wolf: Crazy feat that, though that's some smooth music you got going on.
Fox: Yeah, never knew you could play the accordion.
Carmen: When you travel around the world, you pick up a few things.
[the trio look up to see Fiona approaching her and stops playing]
Fiona: Hey…
Carmen: Hello…
Fiona: Look, I just wanna apologize for what happened yesterday, I know I came off as rather…ya' know.
Carmen: Hot-headed?
Fox: Crass?
Wolf: Idiotic?
Fiona: [bites her tongue] Yeah…that. I was just in a foul mood and felt I needed to make a spectacle of myself…but I'm over that, and I'd rather move on from it, how about you guys?
Wolf: Let's see; how do we know you aren't talking bullshit just to get pity points?
Fiona: Look, my fingers ain't crossed, and I'd just like to point out that we Bass are in the minority, you think the Gophers aren't gonna notice?
Wolf: I…said that earlier today.
Fiona: See, so I propose that we all stick together, ya' know, like an old team quartet.
Carmen: And this affirming that you're not gonna backstab us for any circumstances?
Fiona: Scout's honor. [makes a gesture with her hand]
Fox: Okay…perhaps we'll give it a trial run.
Fiona: Appreciate it. [goes into the girls' cabin, leaving the other three former Bass on their own]
Fox: Do you think this'll work?
Wolf: Absolutely not, but she gets one chance, you hear me, one chance. She blows it, her ass is outta here, again.
Carmen: Took the words right out of my mouth.
[scene cuts to the inside of the girls' cabin where Fiona goes to the window to open it]
Fiona: You catch all that?
Katz: Oh, yes, every single word…
[scene cuts to Angelina and Usagi sitting by the beach, the latter having brought her kit along]
Usagi: You know, this kit came with a set of bracelets. I'll give this one to you, a sign of friends if you will.
Angelina: Why thank you, I like the way it looks.
Usagi: Yeah, I knew pink was your color.
[the two girls share a laugh]
Angelina: You know, despite having known each other for a few weeks, I consider you a good friend.
Usagi: Hehe, same to you, I remember when I used to give these bracelets to Naru and we'd…oh…
Angelina: Usagi, is something wrong?
Usagi: Huh? Oh, nothing, Angelina…
Angelina: You know you can tell me.
Usagi: Well, I just remembered how Naru and I used to be best friends before I became a Sailor Scout, and...then we started hanging out less and less as I began hanging out more with the other guardians…I don't think I even noticed until recently…
Angelina: Oh, I see…well, are you two still on good terms?
Usagi: Oh, yeah, we are, we still see each other occasionally, it's just that we've not spent the time together like before…I should really give her a call.
Angelina: Well, you do what's best in your mind, who knows, maybe we can schedule some time between you two with me and Alice.
Usagi: Yeah, that'd be fun…
[the two girls wrap their hands together]
[static buzzing]
Usagi: You know, it's nice to have a friend who really understands you.
[static buzzing]
Angelina: I think Usagi and I really connect with one another, more than I thought, anyway.
[static buzzing]
Fiona: So I've got an ace going on with the other Bass, hopefully this'll keep me in good terms with them, long enough so that I don't have to play the nice guy act forever.
[static buzzing]
Katz: So the Bass are reuniting, I've got an alibi on their side, and since I've got all the pieces on my side of the board, time for a little game.
[static buzzing]
[the Campfire Ceremony opens, cutting from the usual shot of the island to a shot of Chris from behind the campers. Fox and Wolf are seated closest to the camera, with Katz, Rarity, and Charlotte sitting in the row in front of them]
Chris: And now, the moment we've all been waiting for, the moment of truth. Marshmallow time! You know the routine; whoever doesn't get a marshmallow, it's curtains for you!
[from the tray of marshmallows gauges the contestants' expressions. First Fox, then Wolf, then Angelina, back to Chris narrowing his eyes, then Usagi, and back to a close-up of the marshmallows as the host's fingers reach for the first one. More campers are shown, from an indifferent Carmen, to Rarity sitting patiently, Top Cat with a brow raised, narrow-eyed Katz, and oblivious Charlotte. The focus shifts back to the smiling host as he called off names in quick succession, tossing the marshmallows across the fire as he did]
Rarity, Wolf, Katz, Carmen, Fox, Angelina, Charlotte, Top Cat, Mao Mao, Fiona, marshmallows for the lot of you!
[As the safe campers happily receive their treats, sans Angelina suddenly turning shocked, the camera focuses in on an increasingly shocked Amy. Jaw hanging open, she looks over to the host and his tray, only to see it gleaming and empty]
Usagi: [gasps] What?
Chris: Looks like you're out, Usagi, tough call, too.
Usagi: But, I don't understand, how did I…?
Angelina: I didn't vote for you, I can attest to that.
Rarity: Well, it certainly wasn't me, darling.
Fiona: [lowly] Yeah, yeah, what a shame…
Usagi: [turns around] It's okay, I get it…I'll just go now…[walks away with a small tear in her eye]
Angelina: Hold on…I'll walk you to the dock.
Usagi: [sighs] Thanks…
[scene cuts to Angelina standing on the Dock of Shame as Usagi's boarded the Boat of Losers. The two friends wave one another off as the latter sets off into the night. As the camera pans out to the boat departing the island, two silhouettes are seen watching from a distance. It then cuts to the restroom where a red hand is showing turning the knob to the shower, revealing the silhouette to be Katz's on the other side of the curtain]
Katz: [hums] She is the one…Sailor Moon…
