Warp slowly came to, his mind groggy, his strength sapped away, his entire being didn't feel right. He lifted himself up then moved to the side experiencing a headache. He knelt down to his feet facing the ground, his vision blurry, had he been aged? He wasn't quite sure but a gut feeling told him everything was fine with him internally and externally. Only thing he were suffering was the side effects of being knocked out unceremoniously. He fell to his side, falling back unconscious, then when he came to, he were being carried by a hornet.
He was placed on to a berth, groaning, his being experiencing pain.
"Darkmatter, how nice to see you still being a mole." Zurg greeted Warp like a old friend.
"You're a sick man, Zurg."
"Hmmph, you really think so?" Zurg asked, pleased.
"First of all, making a clone of me?"
"That was not a clone."
"And doing this on THE ANNIVERSARY? AND making a fake portal? I didn't think you had the gall to cross the line."
"Cross what line?" Zurg folded his arms. "What anniversary?"
"There are things that can't be undone, no matter how hard you try." Warp said.
"What are you talking about?" Zurg set his hands on his hips. "Give me a hint."
"This is really pathetic and low coming from you." Warp said.
"WHAT are you talking about?" Zurg requested.
"Can't even admit your part." Warp said in disgust.
Zurg approached the young Ipsedan, staring at him, then that stare became a glare.
"What part?" Zurg asked.
"No." Warp said.
"No, what?"
"If you can't say it then I won't." Warp said, decisively. "I acknowledge it every single day, I carry it, it made me stronger."
"Why does this sound like you're in pain every day, because this is unusual . . ." Zurg acknowledged, rubbing his helm, with a sole claw strolling around the propped up sideways berth. "you never linger over a simple petty miscalculation in a plan."
"Just admit that you screwed up royally." Warp said.
"Screwed up. . ." Zurg approached the Space Ranger, curious. "what?"
Warp stared at the emperor, exasperated.
"The day." Warp said, dryly. "Tuh day."
Zurg was visibly irritated by the Space Ranger's comment.
"TELL ME WHY YOU'RE STILL A SPACE RANGER, WARP DARKMATTER!"
"The day I do that is a day you will ignore it, ask me, ask me that question every day, it won't hurt me, it won't impact me the way you want it. Get it through your moronic positronic brain that I will not be the subject of entertainment because really, it's, below stupid. Like Agent Z."
Zurg crept closer to the Space Ranger.
". . . Who was Agent Z where you're from?"
"You know the answer just as I do."
"Then I'll MAKE YOU TALK!"
Zurg applied his finger tips to the side of the head, delivering sharp painful shocks, pain rippling through ever being, his heart stressed, beating faster, his nerves impacted the most by it, and his mind send waves of shock with each electrical beam applied to the side of his head. The emperor withdrew over the painful shrieks. Zurg departed leaving the Space Ranger behind, weak, tired, and his head aching.
Warp saw a faint shadow in the distance, it reminded him of his old friend, then he smiled, willing himself to, at the familiar sight. The only person who would linger in the shadows to provide a means of a rescue would be Buzz Lightyear. Warp briefly closed his eyes then opened them, his illusion still standing, it was, in fact, a different hornet drone with the similar build of a Space Ranger that approached him. The machine reached a large claw forward, red optic flickering, then set it on Warp's smaller hand.
"Buzz. . ." He smiled then passed out on the berth.
The machine withdrew it's large claw and stared at it for a long moment processing what had just occurred.
Unusual.
