Raven barely left her room the morning after. Which ordinarily would not raise any red flags to anyone. Raven sometimes had days where she would rather keep to herself even if the others were hanging out with each other. Beast Boy would normally come knock at her door or annoy her when given the opportunity to try to convince her to socialize with them. Today however, he chose not to disturb her which did raise a red flag for a traffic light colored hero.

"Has Raven came out at all today?", Cyborg asked the rest of his friends.

"I saw her early morning before you guys got up, she got some tea and I noticed she took some granola bars to her room. Seems like she won't show for the rest of the day".

"That is quite the shame", Starfire said disappointedly. "I was hoping that she would help me choose an outfit for our date tonight boyfriend Robin".

Robin subsequently wore a light blush. "Yes well, I would not count on it Star, besides you look great in anything, really", he gave her a sincere grin. Starfire giggled with joy.

"Thank you, boyfriend Robin. You look good always as well".

If Robin wasn't blushing before, his face now was the same shade of red as his uniform.

"Yeah yeah yeah, y'all make a beautiful couple. Enough already!" exclaimed Garfield while playing his routinely video games with Cyborg.

"What's wrong BB? You jealous or something?" smirked Cyborg.

"Ha. Ha. Cy. Don't think that will distract me from this game, that I will totally win by the way. I just don't want to hear another one of their 'oh no you're prettier, oh no you're cuter' conversations".

Beast boy was in full concentration in their game until Robin asked him, "Hey Beast Boy, you mind asking Raven later if she has been in contact with Melvin lately? I want to know if she has been adjusting well at Titans North".

Raven was happy they were in Titan's North, they were one of the more peaceful regions of their syndicate. Melvin had recently turned 11. Due to her age, her powers started often getting the better of her and Titan's North offered to take in her and her siblings to help her control her and her sibling's powers. They were all far too young to go out and fight, despite Melvin's pleas, but they quickly became a family with the other Titans. Raven checked in on them at least once a month to see how they were doing.

Beast Boy lost his concentration and looked swiftly at Robin and anxiously replied, "What?! Wait, why do I have to ask Raven?!". He started to lose his concentration on his game. "Can't you ask her?" and then they all heard the sound of Beast Boy's defeat against Cyborg.

"Told ya, better luck next time broccoli head".

"Dude, no fair I was distracted!", Beast Boy began slumping in his seat.

Robin couldn't help but give a questioning look at Beast Boy. "Well I just figured you can ask her since normally you go on and bother Raven at least once when she locks herself up in her room".

Garfield looked back at Robin, "Yeah well, today I am busy".

"No you're not" snorted Cyborg. "Your losing green butt is just going to do the usual eat, sleep, lose game station, crack lame jokes and repeat".

Beast Boy shot him a glare, "For your information, I don't always lose, and my jokes aren't lame".

Starfire now was interested in the conversation, "Do tell friend Beast Boy, what are you planning to do today that does not involve the breaking of the jokes?".

It took a while for Garfield to understand what Star meant, and an even longer time to come up with an excuse, but he came up with an idea. "I um…I am going to go volunteer in the city today!", he thought to himself hey that actually isn't a bad idea, I should probably actually do that every now and then.

Cyborg and Robin looked at him in surprise and Starfire was beaming at him. "Friend Beast Boy! That is oh so glorious, where will you go volunteer?".

"Are you serious BB? You have never mentioned about volunteering anywhere" Cyborg said bemused.

Garfield came up with the perfect excuse but was not sure how to follow up. "I actually am not sure where yet, Star. I want to go volunteer somewhere, but not sure where or what would be best".

"You know, the children's hospital in the city would probably be happy to have you. You're great with kids and according to them you have the coolest power", his proud leader suggested.

Beast Boy's expression looked like a light bulb turned on in his head. "Robin! Dude! That is such a great idea! Yeah, I will go there to see when I can go, thanks for the suggestion!".

Beast Boy was not sure where his last-minute thinking was leading him, but going over to visit the local children's hospital did not seem too bad. He was 18 now and all he really did was play video games and come up with ingenious jokes. Everyone had their own thing nowadays. Cyborg would go coach little league for disabled children every now and then, Robin and Starfire always had to make the team look good to create a good public image, and even Raven would help translate old texts and help behind the scenes for the public library. Everyone had their own thing but Garfield it appeared, until now.

"Yeah B, that sounds like the perfect set up for you, good for you man. This really is a good thing you are doing", Cyborg proudly said while he put his hand on Beast Boy's shoulder.

"Glorious idea boyfriend Robin! That is just perfect for dear Beast Boy!" where she finished with giving Robin a kiss on the cheek. Robin warmly accepted the gesture of affection.

"Okay come on guys, get a room! Seriously, we have like at least 5 empty rooms in this tower!". Starfire only giggled and took Robin's hand and they headed out of the common room.

Robin was proud of Beast Boy, maybe he was starting to mature now.

However, he could still not shrug off Garfield's reaction when he brought Raven up and his hesitation to talk to her. One of Garfield's favorite past times was grinding her gears. Maybe this was also a part of his maturation. It seemed like he came up with that volunteer work on the spot, could have he made that up just to not talk to Raven? thought Robin to himself.

Nah couldn't be, Beast Boy I guess is not so much boy anymore which created a beaming sense of pride for his teammate.
