A shabby little theater sat in Atlantis, practically abandoned and useless. Dust gathered on the stage, cobwebs formed in the corner, overall, it had seen better days. The main entrance of the building creaked open, allowing a man to step into it. He whistled a tune as he walked past the empty seats, carrying a briefcase in hand. He was a decent height, not the tallest person to have shown face in Atlantis, but pretty close around there. His skin had a light tan, which worked exceedingly well with his handsome, freckled face and mystifying, jade green eyes. The eyes matched his hair, which was dyed to be light green. It was cut quite short, and kept very neat, a true sign of a gentleman.
The man reached the stage, stroking his chin as he looked about the muckiness of the setting. "Well…this simply won't do. I should have to get this place all spick and span for my big screen debut!" He tossed his briefcase to one of the chairs in the building, which it hit so hard that the chair just crumbled into pieces, much to his shock. "Oh dear…this place is really going to need some elbow grease thrown into it." He rolled up the sleeves of his crease-free, white dress shirt to get the ball rolling. To match his style, he also wore a pair of sleek, grey dress pants, and black dress shoes, which were now unfortunately dusty from the stage he was on.
Before the man could grab a broom and get to work, the door swung open all the way, slamming against the wall and falling off of the hinges entirely. In walked five more people, this time, all familiar faces. Poseidon, Chef, Chris, and Amphitrite were there, of course, though each dressed up like they were about to go on a vacation to the beaches of Hawaii. And, as far as the other, well, it was little miss Bonnie, who was all too excited to see the boy on the stage. "You made it here before I thought you would, great timing! I was gonna have the intern clean the place up, but it'll definitely get done faster…or maybe slower with the two of you working on it." The host approached the stage with Bonnie following along, soon looking up to the man.
"Chris McLean, a pleasure it is to see-" the man was quickly, and rudely, cut off by the host.
"Listen, dude, you better not be mucking this up. This challenge is gonna be key for the season, and if I ended up leaving it in the hands of somebody that makes a mess of things, I'd be ruined!" The man was taken aback by the sudden hostility of the host, which soon changed back to his regular demeanor. Chris handed a piece of paper up to him, one that was full of words. "Here, you've got this to read before the episode kicks off, so make sure you do a good job of it, eh?" He soon turned to Bonnie, staring at her quite judgingly. "And Bonnie, don't goof around too much. If things go bad, you're his only help."
"Yes sir!" Bonnie saluted the host, immediately jumping onto the stage and somehow landing up there wearing nothing but her underwear. "I promise, I won't fiddle around with Mr. Handsome too much!" She grinned as she rubbed his back, causing him to gulp nervously.
"Sounds good to me! You guys have fun with your cleanup! Bonnie knows how to use the loudspeakers, so she can call everyone to come to the stage when you are ready for them." Chris turned away from the pair, rejoining the other adults. "And we're off to catch some waves! See you bozos later!" And, just like that, the four of them left the building…leaving Bonnie and the mysterious man all to themselves.
"So, hot stuff, we gonna bang, or are you just gonna stand there?" Bonnie licked her lips out of anticipation while the host for a day backed away from her.
"Y-you know I'm twenty, right? Just a little bit too old for you…and I'm not down for catching a case." The man tried to be reasonable, though this was only met by a groan from Bonnie who slipped back into her regular clothing. "B-but, as long as we're working together, allow me to properly introduce myself! Cedric Merritt, at your service…though everyone calls me Spear Mint!" He took a bow, oddly causing a spotlight to shine on him.
Bonnie looked around for the source of the spotlight, not finding one anywhere. "How are you doing that!? That light thingy…that's so cool!"
"Haha, Bonnie, you do crack me up!" He neglected to answer her question as he rose from his bow, causing the light to fade away. "I should probably read what Chris told me to before we get to cleaning, right?" He took a good look at the paper, smiling brightly before facing the camera. "Last time on Total Drama: Lost City, everybody was acting a little crazy after the big memory blank they all shared! People were worried about Chris, some worried about Zach, a lot of worry going around, but don't worry, we've got detective Flint on the case! Speaking of acting crazy, it was perfect for the challenge, since everyone had to act as a unique character, trying to stay in the longest for their time! Natt was dressed as a girl, Nicolás showed off his Thomas cosplay, it was quite the sight all around. It seemed like Zachary and Amelia were going to be going on forever, until Taylor attacked Chris's…'gorgeous mane' with her hair clippers! Unfortunately for her and her girlfriend, she was given the big boot for this, but she left with a raunchy display that fit her so well! We've got more drama coming up in this episode, featuring moi as your special guest host. Everybody, get ready for another exciting episode of Total Drama: Lost City!"
The camera hovered over an ocean, quickly descending beneath the water and happening upon Atlantis, zooming in on the wreck of the Chris space station, where the host himself was on his knees, sad that there was an asteroid in his face, while Poseidon patted him on the shoulder and Amphitrite sighed in annoyance.
"Dear mom and dad, I'm doing fine," the camera quickly shifted over to the carnival zone in Atlantis, showing Natt and Anne on a large Ferris wheel, enjoying their time together until it suddenly fell out of place and rolled away.
"You guys are on my mind," down at the controls, Zachary and Amelia were revealed to be messing with them, laughing maniacally until Vicente came over and bonked both of them on the head with plastic baseball bats.
"You asked me what I wanted to be and I think the answer's plain to see," in one of the carnival tents, March and Luna watched Benjamin in awe as he rode a unicycle while bouncing on a trampoline, juggling bowling pins, and holding a torch with his teeth.
"I wanna be famous!" Tony tossed a frisbee at the wheel, causing Benjamin to fall on top of an unsuspecting Bonnie, and the torch to set his shirt on fire before the bowling pins landed on his head, which caused Liz to give him a thumbs up with an evil grin on her face.
"I wanna live close to the sun," out in the ocean, Alex was in his diving suit, trying to catch a sea monkey, but failing utterly, just like he had when it was a space monkey, while Dusty shook her head in disappointment, lassoing the creature back to them, but catching Jett instead.
"So pack your bags, cause I've already won," on the seafloor, Archie studied a squid closely until it shot ink all over his helmet's glass shield, which made Jianne giggle a little bit before wiping it off.
"Everything to prove, nothing in my way, I'll get there one day," not too far from where the two were, Damien and Gretchen ran away from a massive shark, which knocked them off to the side, showing that it was swimming away from Flint, who was throwing rocks at it while Alexis chased after him.
"I wanna be famous!" the camera switched gears to show a submarine, with arcade-esque machines in it that Taylor and Crustacean were fighting over.
"Na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na," zooming into a "pod" of sorts near the arcade games, a virtual world that was full of immaculate fantasy aspects and monsters was shown.
"I wanna be, I wanna be, I wanna be famous!" Nicolás, dressed as a knight, was running in fear as blasts of dark energy were tossed at the ground behind him, each blast destroying part of the ground.
"I wanna be, I wanna be, I wanna be famous!" the camera revealed Thomas, in dark mage garb, as the source of the blasts, floating in the sky and laughing maniacally until Maggie, dressed as a witch, flew over to him on her broom and tackled him to the ground, making out with him before he blasted the camera with one of the energy balls.
Afterwards, the whole group was seen on a nautically themed aftermath stage, which Sebastian and Haley were at the center of, glaring at each other while all of the contestants, accompanied by Maggie, who was hugging Thomas tightly, whistled.
The contestants were all awake, despite the fact that it was so early in the day. For some odd reason, it felt like something huge was going to be happening on this day, though they had no idea what it was exactly. In the Sharks' room, things were already starting to get a bit wild. Amelia was nowhere to be seen, and Liz took this as an opportunity to show Luna the trickster she was. "I really couldn't believe it when I saw what I saw! I thought Amelia was a friend…until I found out that she's just using us!"
"I don't know what you mean by that…why would she just be using us? That's kind of a big accusation, don't you think?" Luna crossed her arms firmly while she watched Liz dig around underneath Amelia's bunk. The scientist grabbed the lockbox from before, pulling it out and reaching for the key that was in her pocket. "Liz? You've been digging around in her personal belongings? I mean, I would do that to someone that I don't like, but Amelia is supposed to be our friend!" The model made it clear that she did not, in any shape or form, agree with what Liz was doing.
"I know, I know, I shouldn't be doing this, but I promise you, once you see what's going on, you'll understand!" She pried the diary out of the box, causing Luna to gasp. "Would you just give me a minute here!? I need to get to it…it's going to look bad until you actually see it…now let me just take a good look through these pages here." She flipped through the pages, looking for the entry that she had initially found. It took her some time, but she was soon able to find it. "Aha, I've got it!"
"You'd better be really onto something, because this just isn't right. Amelia is our friend, and you're disrespecting her privacy." Luna crossed her arms, getting an eye roll from Liz. "Don't you roll your eyes at me!"
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry! Look, once you hear this, you'll know exactly what I'm talking about." Liz cleared her throat, looking down at the page in question. "'I'm glad I've got people like Liz and Luna on my team, I really could use good friends like them to keep me going with all the drama and craziness that's going on down here.' …What!? That's not what was supposed to be in here…s-she changed the words! That's the explanation as to what's here now!"
"Liz, I can't believe you! Why would you bother doing this just to show me something like this…that's just…awful!" Luna was furious, and Liz had no idea what she should say about it. As the two stood there, Amelia walked into the room, whistling and holding her arms behind her back. She looked at them, seeing what Liz had in her hands before letting out a frightened gasp. "Amelia, I'm glad you're here! Liz was talking really crazy about you, saying you were trying to use us or something like that!" The model rushed over to her actress friend, hugging her tightly. "Of course, I never doubted you for a moment, but she was even in your journal!"
"T-thank you, Luna…I don't know why she would say such a thing…and look!" Amelia pulled forth what was behind her back, revealing it to be none other than a well done drawing of the three of them together in a spotlight. "I figured I could probably use my Hollywood connections to get you guys onto the big screen with me, but Liz…you really think that I was trying to use you guys? I don't even know what to say…I'm hurt…"
"Oh, come on!" Liz threw the diary to the side, stomping towards Amelia and glaring as she looked up at her. "You know damn well what you were doing! You're trying to pick us off, one by one! Tell Luna the truth, tell her right now!" The scientist was suddenly shoved back by the model, who was even more angry with her than before. "Luna, please, you have to understand, she's been using us this whole time. She changed the words and she's trying to make me look like a villain!"
"I've had enough of this crap, Liz! This is just unforgivable! After Amelia came in here to tell us something so wonderful, you're still adamant that she was doing this horrible thing!?" Luna grabbed Amelia's hand, holding it tightly while she glared at the scientist. "I hope what you wanted was to lose two friends, because I'm not gonna stick by your side after this…it's just ridiculous. I thought we made a good pair…but you're more evil than even I am! Going after your own friends…it's pathetic!"
"Luna, she's not our friend, she's really trying to get rid of us so she can win! I promise, I wouldn't lie to you about something this bad!" Liz pleaded with the model, feeling the true power that Amelia had over her at this point. She was really utterly powerless compared to her.
"If I didn't know any better, I would think that you're actually the one trying to use me! You want me to get rid of Amelia so you can get closer to the money!" Luna looked up at Amelia, a sorry look on her face. "Amelia, I'm really sorry you had to come into such a sight. It really is unfortunate, but if this is how Liz wants to be, we're just going to have to move on."
"It's alright, Luna…at least I know that I've still got you as a friend. It just sucks…I really don't have that many friends back home. And after I made that stupid mistake on the space station...I was sure that no one would forgive me when I was trying to change." Amelia started to sob, holding Luna as close to her as she possibly could while she did. The model continued to glare at Liz, who had no idea what she was supposed to do.
Confessional
"Dammit!" Liz punched the wall, huffing and puffing as she had no clue where to go from here. "I should've known that Amelia would've pulled something sneaky like this…ugh! I should've ripped that damn page out of the diary when I had the chance. I…I've got no one left here to believe me! The two of them are against me…Dusty adamantly hates me…ah!" Liz stood from the confessional bucket, an idea suddenly popping into her head. "Tony! I have Tony…I…" She looked down at the ground, remembering something suddenly. "Tony…I've been treating him so horribly this season…" She sat herself back down on the bucket, lost once again.
"Game set and match, little scientist," Amelia grinned as she wiped her tears from her face. "I always end up winning in the end."
Confessional End
Liz rushed past the two girls, making her way to the boy's room as fast as she could, only to swing the door wide open and see that Tony was nowhere to be seen. The other three boys were there, staring at her like she was insane, but, before they could question why exactly she had barged in like that, she turned and ran away. "I have to find Tony…I have to…aha!" Quickly, she ran outside of the building, looking around to see Tony digging around in a tree for something. She rushed over to him, panting heavily. "Tony!"
"Ah, jumping jehoshaphat!" Tony leapt up in fear, swiftly turning around to cover what he was doing with his body. "L-Liz? Why are you running up behind me like a madman…and why are you panting like you just ran a mile? Ah! I wasn't doing anything out of the ordinary at this here tree, not in the slightest! Don't worry about it! You've got a look on your face that's telling me that you're worrying about what the tree has in it…it's got nothing in it, I promise you that! It's surely not where I keep all of my jewels, I would never do such a thing! So, what do you-"
Tony couldn't finish his sentence before Liz suddenly grabbed a hold of him, hugging him tighter than she had ever hugged him before. He was a bit confused by the suddenness of it, not really sure what to do. "Uh…this is a bit different. Usually, by now, Luna would've swept in to give me a wedgie or pour a bucket of hot sauce down my shirt. You're not hiding Luna around here, waiting for me to drop my guard, are you?"
"Tony…I'm sorry…" The conman was a bit taken aback from these words. He looked down at her to see the look on her face…which was absolutely miserable. "Amelia was using-...I let myself be used by Amelia. And, because of that, I was treating you like garbage…when this team already treats you like that. I was supposed to be the one person you could count on, but I screwed that up. I'm-"
"Hey, hey, hey…I could listen to people apologize to me in for how I'm treated day and night, but it's a bit different coming from you. You gotta know, I figured it was going to pass at some point. I'm not mad or anything…" Tony thought about the name that she had mentioned to him. "Amelia was using you, eh? Can't say she's been giving me the easiest time so far…she's had it out for me since the beginning of the season. And I knew she was using Luna to her advantage…but you?" For once, Tony had an expression that was unknown to him. He was, in simple words, pissed. "Nah, that's not gonna fly with me."
Liz looked up to the boy, soon backing out of the hug. He scratched his chin in thought, "Hm…we really don't have a lot of options here…pretty much no one is on our side in this. Our best option is to hope that our team keeps winning 'til the merge so we can slide into it. Otherwise…she's gonna beat us pretty hard." He stretched his arms out, and soon after, his legs. "Alright, Amelia wants a war, she's got one. Me and you are gonna make it to that merge…and we're gonna beat her then. Something we love in my area of expertise, the long con!"
"And you're sure that we'll make it? I mean, what happens if she sabotages the challenge? No doubt she'll get everybody to think it was our fault and get us kicked off." Liz was panicking, which was a bit out of the ordinary, she could admit that much. Being at the mercy of somebody else wasn't a feeling that she much approved of, to say the least. "And what if-"
"Liz, darling…you think she can outwit us when it comes to challenges? She may know how to rally one hell of an alliance, but when it comes to know how in the challenges, no one is better than the two of us." Tony pulled Liz back to him, kissing her on the forehead. "We'll just have to do our damndest to help the schmucks on our team win these next few challenges."
"Excuse you!?" A voice called from behind the tree, startling the couple. They glanced over to see Flint jumping out from behind the tree. "Well, well! Look what we have here! The evil power couple of the century, with Mr. Tony Pepperoni calling his own teammates a bunch of schmucks!"
"Ah, Flint! What were you doing behind that tree? When did you even get there in the first place?" Tony started to panic just as well as his girlfriend, not expecting the sudden intrusion to the conversation.
"For your information, I just got here! And I, as the detective in charge of the investigation of the missing memories, am looking for these!" Flint held up a handful of the blue shards from Zachary's destroyed orb. "I've found so many of them at this point, I'm getting closer to unlocking the truth. That's right, lil' old me put two and two together! The sidequest is now the main storyline!"
"W-well, Flint, I-"
"I don't wanna hear it, Connie the Conman! You can spin a web of lies for someone who will actually believe you, I'm gonna let the guys know exactly what you think about us! Harumph!" Flint crossed his arms, soon starting his walk back to the Crabs' building…and suddenly running back to the tree, digging his hand into the hole that was in it, and pulling out another shard. "And I'll be taking this little key fragment with me, thank you very much!" He then rushed back to the building, heading inside and slamming the door behind him.
Confessional
"Leave it to the most chaotic simpleton around to screw me over in something that had nothing to do with him…it doesn't matter!" Tony punched the palm of his hand, determined to win this war. "Me and Liz are gonna carry this team, even with them all working against us! Mark my words, I'm not going down without a fight!"
Confessional End
Jianne was sitting outside of the Sharks' building, kicking her feet in the grass boredly. Alexis was currently in the shower, leaving to her own devices. Damien left the building, noticing her sitting out there. "Oh, Jianne…what are you doing out here, all alone and stuff? Aren't you and Alexis usually hanging out around this time or something like that?"
"Eh, she's showering right now…I figure she doesn't want me to interrupt that." Jianne proudly pointed to her chest with a massive grin on her face. "She's just afraid to be embarrassed because I have the number one best chest in all of Atlantis!" Damien blushed brightly, looking away from her sheepishly. "Ha! You don't wanna look because you know your chest will be outclassed, too! Big win for Jianne!"
"I don't know if comparing chests is something that friends really do all too often…" Damien glanced back over to her, "Though I'm not sure, I guess. I'm not really a girl, so."
"Yeah…I'm still getting used to the whole friends thing." Jianne groaned, crossing her arms and looking down in the dirt. "Friends are tough! It's not supposed to be a competition, but then how can someone win the spot of best friend? Gah, I don't get it." She grumbled to herself, getting a lot quieter. "Not to mention relationships…what's the point if you're not trying to better each other with a little competition?"
"Jianne, I really don't think that's what it's all about…challenging each other? I think it's more so about taking on challenges together." Damien rubbed the back of his neck, soon looking down at the ground as well. "Though I guess I can't say much…my first relationship just ended with me getting cheated on. Maybe I wasn't challenging her enough or something…"
"Are you admitting fault for that?" Jianne snickered to herself, standing from her seat. "Man, you really are a weenie! A real winner knows that nothing is ever really their fault, even if it is their fault!"
"Didn't you admit that the breakup between you and Archie was on you though?" Damien looked back over to see that she had suddenly crossed her arms. "I mean, just considering how upset you were after the two of you broke up, right? I don't mean to make you upset or anything like that."
"...Okay, maybe it was my fault, and maybe I did admit to it a little bit, but it's more so about striving to move forward! It happened, it's over, that's what makes me a winner! I ain't gonna let it keep me down forever, I got more battles to win out here!" She placed her hands on Damien's shoulders, shaking him a little bit to get him pepped up. "So what if you got cheated out of the game by Tony, March cheated on you with Luna, Luna was a total bitch to you, and Archie doesn't even really talk to you anymore because of how you talk about March! You at least got Benjamin, right?"
"Yeah, I do have Benjamin…I'm still a bit upset about him leaving and everything. But I guess you're right…I can try better to ignore all the bad things that have happened and move forward." Damien smiled slightly, only for Jianne to put him in a headlock and give him a painful noogie. "Ack! My scalp!"
"You're gonna be just fine, you silly weenie! I'm only giving you this noogie to keep you on your toes!" Jianne laughed obnoxiously while he struggled to free himself from her grasp, though it clearly wasn't working in his favor. "Woohoo! I win another battle, I'm stronger than you!"
"Okay, okay, you're stronger, just let me go!" Though she didn't particularly want to, she did let him go at a point. He did his best to fix his hair, since she had messed it up pretty bad. He glared at her, only to see her giggling at the sight of him. He tried to keep his glare…but it wasn't long before he lost it, and started to giggle on his own as well.
Confessional
"Man, Damien is a total loser! I think I could make him my personal project or something…teaching him how to not be such a baby!" Jianne boasted a proud grin, not seeing anything rude about the words she said.
"That Jianne sure is crazy…no wonder her and Archie didn't really work out. She's, uh…a bit too extreme for a guy like him." Damien chuckled a bit as he kept trying to fix his hair. "Uh…sorry, Arch…I'm sure you'll find someone someday."
Confessional End
Gretchen sat in the Sharks girl's room, plucking the strings on her guitar slowly and sadly. She sighed as she played, still down in the dumps over Taylor's departure from the show. "Man, who would've thought that this would feel so bad…I bet Taylor would be laughing if she saw me this down about it…"
From the hallway, there was a soft humming approaching the room. Alexis was wrapped up in a towel, with a towel wrapped around her hair as well. Her eyes were shut while she hummed, strolling her way into the room. Gretchen glanced over, thinking nothing of it at first, but double taking and blushing at the sight. "A-ah, Alexis! I'm still in here!"
"Oh my gosh!" Alexis spun around from the dresser she walked over to, blushing way brighter than Gretchen was. "I-I-I'm used to you and Taylor being out of the room when I take my showers, I'm sorry!"
"...Right, Taylor…" Gretchen sighed, looking back down to her guitar and strumming it some more. "Back when she was still here…before Chris disqualified her for being her wild and crazy self." There was a brief, awkward silence between the two, as Alexis really wanted to get dressed, but not while Gretchen was sitting there.
"Uh…gee, you really are upset about that, aren't you? I didn't figure you were the type that would be broken up over your girlfriend getting eliminated." Alexis was willing to do whatever it took to get the room to herself, even if that meant trying to console her…for however long that would take. "If it makes you feel any better, I'm sure Taylor would want you to push on without her."
"I'm sure she would, it just stings…we didn't get to spend enough time together and she's just suddenly gone…" Gretchen sighed again, Alexis was quickly learning that this would take a while.
"You still have each other's numbers, right? I mean, I don't quite get how Poseidon could get working cell towers down here, but hey, he did it. You can just text her or call her…besides, I'm sure it won't be that long before you get to see her again." Alexis didn't understand that, in saying this, she had upset her even more.
"Won't be long? What are you trying to say by that?" Gretchen rose from her bed, setting the guitar down on it.
"Um…nothing? I just figure you'll end up together again in no time…"
"Are you saying that I'm gonna get eliminated soon?"
"What!? Why would I be implying that!?"
"Hey, you said it, not me. You really are just out to make all the enemies you could possibly get this season, aren't you? First you attack Flint a whole bunch, then you injure Nicolás…you're on one horrible spree with this stuff. And now, you wanna get rid of me!"
"Hey, I don't want to get rid of you! Well, I do want you to get out of here, but-"
"So you admit that you want me gone!" Gretchen crossed her arms, walking to the doorway and glaring back at her. "You've got a lot of nerve to be saying stuff like that, you know? I got my eye on you, Alexis…so don't even bother trying any funny stuff."
"...Could you please take your eye off of me for a moment so I can get changed?"
"Fine! But after that, my eyes are gonna be glued to you again!" The rocker left the room, slamming the door behind her and leaving Alexis to her own devices.
Confessional
Alexis sat down with a look of complete shock on her face. "What the hell just happened!? That's not what I meant at all! This is like, the opposite of how things are back at home! There, I'm beloved as a queen for no reason…here, people just wanna be my enemy for no reason! I just can't win!"
Confessional End
There was so much unrest among the contestants at this point that it was near impossible to be in a great mood, but a few managed to pull it off…at least until the loud speakers suddenly sparked up. "Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeello, contestants! It's me, the lovely Bonnie, calling out to all of you to let you know that I could really use some lovin'! I'm super duper lonely right now! I'm accepting love in all forms from one night stands to lifelong harems, so you can all come to me with your offers!" The speakers soon cut out after that announcement, leaving all the contestants equally confused…until it popped back on. "Oh, and we do need you guys to come to the abandoned theater on the west side of Atlantis for a challenge or something like that. My love quest is first and foremost, though! I'll be waiting for you guys! Mwah!"
The two teams started to make their way to the theater, one of the buildings which they hadn't even seen much of to begin with. With the Crabs, there was a massive amount of anger between the group, all of which was either directed towards Tony or Liz. The Sharks were a little more calm…well, outside of Gretchen being upset with Alexis. The others were fine, although a bit worried, due to them being down by, not one, but two members of their team compared to the Crabs.
The group finally arrived at the building, which was just as shabby on the outside as it was on the inside. Vicente stepped towards the building to open the door for everyone so they could walk through. When they went through, shutting the door behind them, they were shocked to see just how clean the inside was. It really looked like a top of the line theater…and made them all feel as if they were underdressed to even be there. Zachary looked around the room, cupping his hand to his ear. "Guys, do you hear that? It sounds like…music?"
"Eh?" Damien looked towards the stage, seeing two people on it. He started walking towards it, hearing the music getting louder and louder. Once he heard what it was, he gasped, and his eyes widened out of excitement. "Hey! I know what this is! It's from Wicked!" As the others followed the boy, the two people became more obvious than before. The one was Spear, who they didn't recognize, but the other was Bonnie, who was…sitting in a wheelchair for some reason.
Spear knelt down to Bonnie from where he was standing, looking a bit nervous, as if he had something to say to her. "Listen Nessa…" The boy sang to his stage partner, his tone even sounding a bit awkward…which was entirely fitting.
"Yes?" Bonnie sang back, most of the contestants didn't expect her to have such a nice singing voice.
"Uh, Nessa…I've got something to confess, a," Spear glanced up to Bonnie, looking her in the eyes in a romantic way. "Reason why, well- why I asked you here tonight. Now, I know it isn't fair-"
"Oh, Boq…I know why."
"You do?"
Bonnie looked down at herself, a small frown forming on her face. "It's because I'm in this chair, and you felt sorry for me. Well, isn't that right?"
Spear was taken aback by the question, almost offended that she would think that. "No! No, it's because…because…" He looked down at the ground before balling his fists up and looking back over to her. "Because you are so beautiful!"
A massive smile formed on Bonnie's face as she looked back over to Spear, wheeling herself towards him again. "Oh, Boq! I think you're wonderful!" She hugged him from her chair, burying her head into his shirt. "And we deserve each other! Don't you see this is our chance? And we deserve each other, don't we, Boq?"
"You know what?" A smile popped up on Spear's face as he stepped behind Bonnie's wheelchair, placing his hands on the handles. "Let's Dance!"
"What?" Bonnie was shocked to hear such a thing, at least she showed it with her acting skills, something that people also didn't expect from her.
"Let's Dance!" He held his note before running around the stage with her and spinning her chair, dancing to the best of his ability.
"Dancing through life, down at the Ozdust!" The two sang together now, a beautiful harmony being shared between them. "If only because dust is what we come to! And the strange thing: your life could end up changing, when you're dancing…through!" The two finally stopped singing, holding their poses and smiling to the crowd, all of which began to clap loudly for them.
The spotlights switched off of the stage and the overhead lights turned on, illuminating the entire building rather than just the stage itself. "Thank you for the appreciation, everyone!" Spear waved to the crowd, soon bowing. "We worked really hard to have this scene ready before you guys got here and- agh!"
Bonnie jumped up from the chair, pinning Spear to the ground and trying to kiss him while he shoved her back. "Come on! We just shared that duet! You legally have to make out with me now!"
"I told you, I'm twenty! I'm not going to kiss a minor!" Spear tried his best to struggle free from Bonnie's onslaught of smooches and love.
"I'm almost eighteen, though! I'm seventeen right now, I'll be legal soon enough! Age is just a number, don't you know that?" Natt and Gretchen both felt bad for the man, and ran up to the stage to pry Bonnie off of him so that he could scramble to his feet. "I swear, I'm gonna get my makeout sesh whether you want me to or not!"
"T-thank you guys…she really is a handful, isn't she?" Spear dusted himself off and looked over at the entirety of the group, clasping his hands together with a smile on his face. "Hello, everybody! It's nice to meet all of you! I'm Cedric Merritt, but, please, just call me Spear. I'm here to take over while Chris and the other hosts are out on vacation!"
"Dude, you're really talented!" Nicolás applauded the man still, an astounded look on his face. "You managed to keep Bonnie tame long enough to do a whole duet!"
"Not to mention that you guys pulled that off with such grace, it was beautiful!" Damien was far more excited than the rest of the group. "As a theater kid myself, I gotta give you credit where credit is due! I feel like I could learn a lot from you, Spear!"
"That's quite nice of you…I take it you're Damien? Chris did tell me a little bit about the contestants…I was a bit excited to hear him talk about a 'pathetic theater chump.'" Damien frowned at the name, but it fit Chris's bill all too well. "But, I'm glad to see all of you! It's rare for someone to just be given a chance to host a show they've dreamed of being on, so I promise to do my best here! Now, I'm sure you're all wondering why exactly me and Bonnie just did that duet, right?"
"Eh, can't say I was all too interested in that," Flint mumbled while he scratched the back of his head, getting him a glare from Dusty.
"Hey, now! Be nice to the gentleman!" The cowgirl shook her head at the speedster, who shrugged his shoulders in response.
"It's quite alright, Dusty. I assume that's you, right? The 'beautiful cowgirl!'" Dusty blushed at the compliment from the host while Vicente glared at him. He looked over at the boy with a smile. "Ah, and her 'somewhat forgettable boyfriend.' The name was…uh…" Spear snapped his fingers in thought, coming up with it eventually. "Vicente, right?"
"Yes," Vicente gritted his teeth at what he had said, maybe not exactly understanding that that's what Chris had described him as, not Spear himself. "It's interesting to be called forgettable by someone that we've never even heard of."
"Oh! Note to self, not just forgettable, but overly aggressive as well!" Spear smirked before shaking his head, "In any case, I should move along with this discussion…that was a little preview of what your challenge will be today! A love song duet to be performed! Of course, you will need to select the best duo from each of your teams to perform. You need to do more than just sing, though! You need to perform the duet like you mean it! Bonnie did a great job in her performance, you could all take a tip or two from her."
"I wanna take a tip from you, Spear!" Bonnie cried out while Natt and Gretchen continued to keep her restrained. "Or maybe even more than a tip!"
"You…you really need to calm it down a bit with all the flirting," Spear cleared his throat and looked away from Bonnie, trying to ignore what she said. "Now, ignoring the fact that she is a dirty little pervert, she did do a good job. That's the kind of effort I expect out of all of you!" He pulled out a director's chair, setting it off to the side of the stage before sitting down in it. "Now, as far as how much time you have to choose your performers…I'd say half an hour. You need to adjust to your part quickly to really dazzle me!"
"Half an hour!?" Zachary crossed his arms in protest, "No actor can simply get ready for a role in just half an hour! How do you expect me to ace this duet if I have such a limited time to get ready?"
"Nobody said that we were going to let you perform," Jianne glared at the boy. "In fact, Damien is for sure gonna be a performer, so unless you wanna sing a love song with him."
"Ack! I would never sing a love song with Damien! He's so not my type!" Zachary looked over to Alexis with a grin on his face. "But if it were Alexis and I…well, that would be much better!"
"Uh, I think I'm gonna have to pass on that," Alexis looked away from Zachary, her eyes coincidentally ending up on Flint for a moment before she blushed and looked away from him as well. "Thanks, but no thanks."
"Alright, teams! Get together and start deciding who you want to perform! Remember, thirty minutes!" Spear shouted to the cast, urging them to gather up. This, unfortunately, freed Bonnie from her shackles, and she immediately started to blot towards him. "Oh, crap!" He got up from his seat and started running away as fast as he could."
Confessional
"I mean, it only makes sense for Damien to perform, right?" Jianne smiled to the camera, twiddling her thumbs. "After all, he's a theater kid! Perfect type of challenge for a guy like him!" She looked down at her hands to see what she was doing. "...U-uh…why am I doing that?" She blushed and pulled her hands apart, looking away from the camera."
Confessional End
The Sharks gathered together in the seats of the auditorium, still a bit nervous about just how many people they had at their disposal for picking from. Gretchen had her arms crossed and wasn't so much as looking at Alexis, who could only roll her eyes in response. Zachary stood up on top of his seat, pointing to himself proudly. "Well, Jianne may think that Damien should be in this scene, but I digress! It's gotta be me and Alexis…maybe even me and Jianne! Me and Gretchen, if you feel so inclined."
"Not gonna happen, bro," Gretchen grumbled in her seat. "Sorry, I'm not down with performing a love duet when my own duet is incomplete at the moment."
The team stared at Gretchen blankly for a moment until Vicente spoke up among the silence. "Well…that was oddly poetic. Guess Archie ain't the only one who knows how to weave his words. But as far as the duet, I really don't think Zachary is a suitable option for this challenge."
"Eh!? What do you mean, I'm plenty enough of a good singer for this challenge! And I definitely know how to act my way out of any issue!" Zachary leaned into Vicente's face, glaring at him intensely. "Are you saying that you could do a better job than me!?"
"No, definitely not. Even if Dusty were still on our time, I think this challenge is not my level of expertise. But you…well, the girls don't seem to really get along with you for the most part. I just think that you're gonna have a hard time getting them to work well with you, and we wanna win this thing." Zachary wasn't happy to hear what Vicente was saying, but he sat himself back down, knowing that he had some semblance of a point. "It's gonna have to be Damien…but who's going to perform with him?"
Gretchen had already said no to the question, which only left Jianne and Alexis. The two looked between each other for a moment, seeming to have an unspoken conversation with their eyes. "I guess I can do it with him…if only to prove that I'm better at it than the rest of you guys!" Jianne stood up proudly and boasted a grin. "I mean, I'm surely gonna be carrying this duet with my skill, but Damien should be able to match a fraction of my skill!"
"Okay!" Damien smiled over at Jianne, ignoring that she had practically just said she was better than him. "I'd love to do the duet with you!" He stood from his seat and held his hand out for her to shake it, which shocked her a bit, but she did it. "I'm sure it'll turn out great with the two of us working on it!" Holding her hand, he took her with him to the stage, going behind the curtains so they could work on a duet.
The team sat alone in silence for a moment before Zachary noticed an odd look on Alexis' face. "Eh? Why are you smiling like a big dumb idiot? That's kinda my job to do that!"
"Oh, me?" Alexis giggled, the smile not leaving her face. "I just…noticed something. Makes me happy, I guess. Ah, don't mind me."
Confessional
Alexis kicked her feet while holding her head and smiling brightly. "Yeah, I'm a great friend! Letting Jianne take that opportunity was a great idea! All my enemies can suck it!" She giggled to herself briefly. "I totally ship it."
Confessional End
The Crabs, on the other hand, had a much more tense air about them than the Sharks did. Most of them remained upset with Tony and Liz, both of which felt their time running out. "L-listen here, folks, I know that you're all upset with us about a few different things, but, if I may suggest, maybe we should be the ones to perform the duet?"
"Oh? Why's that?" Natt crossed his arms as he dully stared at the conman. "Is it because you think us schmucks won't do a good enough job at the challenge?"
"N-no, that's not it at all!" Tony tried to shake off the tensity to show his reasoning. "I just thought, well, since she and I are actually dating each other, we may have some good chemistry for the performance. We can bring real romance to the table! That's not something that the other team has, now is it?"
"Maybe not, but they probably don't have a duo that treats their own team like utter garbage." Dusty grumbled under her breath, refusing to look at either of the two of them.
"Dusty, please…I know we have some bad history, but you can trust us for this one." Liz tried not to have her voice trembling, though she was still fearful. "This is something you know the two of us will be able to pull off…if it isn't us, who else will be able to do it?"
"I am an actress, you know," Amelia sniffled, still pretending to be hurt by Liz and her accusations earlier. "I could maybe do some good work in this challenge…with Luna as my partner."
"Yeah! Me and Amelia could do a kickass job in a simple challenge like this!" Luna hissed her words at Liz, "What gives you two the right to take control of it? For all we know, you would botch it on purpose to make us go back to our losing spree!"
"We wouldn't do that!" Tony stood up, offended by what Luna had proposed. "If we were to bomb this challenge on purpose, you guys would just vote us out the second we got to the fishbowl!"
"He does have a point there," Nicolás admitted, though he was clearly angered as well. "But that still doesn't mean we'll let you be in charge of this challenge. Not after…all that you have done."
"But guys-"
"You know what?" Amelia sniffled again, sitting up in her seat as tall as she could. "Maybe we should let them give it a shot…try to forgive and forget for all the mean stuff they've done." The team looked at Amelia with confused eyes, except the duo, who knew that she was just toying with them.
"Ugh…well, if you think that's a good idea," Flint grumbled, soon getting up in Tony's face. "But if you guys muck this up, we aren't gonna be so forgiving!" Tony gulped nervously before grabbing Liz by the arm and bringing her to the stage, hiding behind the curtains with the other duo.
Confessional
"This is our one shot to beat Amelia…we need to win this challenge, no matter what it takes." Tony had his fists clenched, sweating nervously. "Dammit…she's good at what she does, but Liz and I do have the romance that the other team lacks. That's gonna be our key to victory."
Confessional End
Jianne and Damien were sitting on the left side of backstage while Tony and Liz took the right, each pair thinking about what duet they should do. "Hm, we could maybe do something like…'Nothing's Gonna Harm You' from Sweeney Todd? Though, I guess that one is not so much a duet. More of a solo, in fact…you have any good ideas for this one, Jianne?"
Jianned tapped her chin for a second, trying her best to think about the question. "We could do…'You're The Best Around!' Yeah, that's definitely the song for me to perform!" She looked at Damien with a grin, seeing him chuckled and starting to chuckle herself. "I'm kidding, of course. That's good for me, but we need to find what's best for us, of course!"
"Well, there's 'A Whole New World' from Aladdin…ah! That's no good for us! It's a great song, but it just doesn't…well, it doesn't feel right!" Damien crossed his arms, getting really fussy about this whole song selection. "Man, this is really tough! I mean, picking a song that matches us…I guess that makes sense though. We can't have nothing but the best for the best competitor around."
Jianne blushed ever so slightly at the compliment, but kept her proud grin on. "I thank you for recognizing my talent, as always. You know, I may not be the best when it comes to picking yucky romance songs, but what if we were to do…" She leaned towards the boy, whispering the name of the song to him and bringing a look of pure excitement to his face.
"Jianne, that's brilliant! We can do that one, oh it'll be just wonderful!" Damien shot up from where he was sitting, pulling her up with him. "Come on, we gotta get some props together and figure out how to get the lighting working the right way! This is gonna be the best damn duet I have ever done in my life!"
The duo ran towards the bins of props off to the side of the stage, reaching in and looking for items that would work well for their scene. In there, they managed to find a folded up cardboard canoe. They unfolded it, soon turning to face each other and grinning a grin that meant it was perfect. They grabbed an oar as well, and rushed to the lighting controls soon after.
Liz and Tony stared at the stage floor, both of them feeling the nature of the trouble that they were in. They knew that they could pull this off, but with the mass disapproval they got from their team, it was stressful beyond belief. "We just…we need to pull off a song that really let's our love shine through, right?" Tony looked over to Liz, who slowly tilted her head to look up at him. "We can get something…I know we can."
"Aren't you worried that we won't be able to do it? Just…thinking about this, it's freaking me out. I'm used to being one step ahead of everyone, not ten steps behind." She sighed, rubbing both of her arms as she thought about Amelia and the nasty game that she had beat them in. "It's…we have nobody to back us up, and we were both trying to do the right thing! What's the point in doing the right thing if someone is just gonna keep us plastered as the bad guys?"
"Liz…"
"Tony, I can't keep my head straight while this is happening! I mean, if we don't pull this off, we're gonna get booted out of the game because she outplayed us! You know how that feels? When all I wanted to do was look out for my friend?" Liz slammed her fists down on her legs. "It's not fair, it's just not-"
Tony grabbed Liz, pulling her in to kiss her. She was shocked at first, but soon, she fell into it, holding the kiss with him for a moment that seemed to last forever. When it finally broke, the two of them sat with their foreheads touching. "...I love you."
"...Until the end of time." Liz looked up to see a smile on Tony's face, despite what was happening. "That's it then, isn't it?"
"It is." Tony chuckled lightly, "Guess we should get ready to put on a show, right?" He stood from the floor, pulling Liz up with him. "Come what may, we'll stick through it. If we lose, we lose…but at least we're losing together."
"As much as I hate losing…I wouldn't wanna lose any other way." The two continued to smile at each other, hardly noticing that they were both tearing up. "You're crying…heh, that's so unlike you."
"You're one to talk, watery eyes." Tony pulled her in for a hug, holding her tighter than he ever held her before. "Let's get out on the stage and put on the best damn show these people will ever see."
The stage was entirely dark, with the two teams waiting for the first duo to come out and make themselves known. The curtains were slowly pulled to the sides, making way for Tony and Liz. Liz had makeup on her face, makeup that made her look deathly ill, while Tony was crying as he held her close to him. Slow and solemn music started to play while they stood there.
"Never knew…that I could feel like this." Tony started to smile through the tears that were streaming down his cheeks. "Like I've never seen the sky before…I want to vanish inside your kiss. Every day I love you more…and more."
Liz managed to slowly smile, despite how sick and in pain she appeared to be. Tony continued to sing lovingly to her, with the music that was playing matching his own emotion. "Listen to my hear, can you hear it sings? Telling me to give you everything…" He suddenly picked her up, holding her in his arms and looking down to see her face. "Seasons may change…winter to spring. But I love you…until the end of time."
Tony set her down, kneeling down so that he could sing up to her. "Come what may…come what may! I will love you…until my dying day!"
He stood back up and Liz approached him, smiling up at him before the two started to sing together. "Suddenly the world seems such a perfect place. Suddenly it moves with such a perfect grace. Suddenly my life doesn't seem such a waste! …It all revolves around you." The two turned to face the back wall, showing that the expressions on their faces were as passionate as it could get. "And there's no mountain too high, no river too wide! Sing out this song and I'll be there by your side!"
The two turned back to each other, holding both of their hands together while lovingly looking at each other. "Storm clouds may gather and the stars may collide!" Liz suddenly dropped out from singing, leaving Tony as the lead voice again. "But I love you…"
"I love you…" Liz sang back sweetly, reaching up to hold her hand against his cheek.
"Until the end of time," the two were back to singing together, this time both of them crying, though it wasn't part of the act anymore. "Come what may…come what may! I will love you until my dying day! Oh, come what may…come what may! I will loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooove you…"
"I will love you," Liz sang the line on her own, with Tony leaning down to kiss her forehead lightly. "Suddenly the world…seems such a perfect place…"
"Come what may! Come what may! I will love you until my dying dayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!" The duet finished their song as strong as they started, and Tony pulled Liz in for just one more kiss. The lights lit up, showing the whole building, and the two turned to face Spear, who was sitting next to a dog cage that had Bonnie in it.
"Tony, Liz, that really was such a wonderful job. You both may not be the most amazing singers I've ever heard, but you brought the emotion to the stage. It was almost as if you were really worried for yourselves or something!" Spear didn't know just how true that was, and the duo only laughed it off. "It was a solid performance…all that remains is to see how the other team fares against it. Excellent job."
"Thanks, guy," Tony wiped the tears off of his face, pulling Liz close to his side. "I'm just glad I could do this with Liz…really a great experience to share." Liz smiled at Tony's comment, not even caring about the harsh looks that both of them were getting from their own team.
Confessional
"That's it, then. If we go down, we go together, but we went out with a fight, didn't we?" Tony looked over to Liz with a smile, getting a smile back from her.
"Yes…yes we did. Amelia can bite me, no matter how deceptive she is, I'm never going to let her turn me against you ever again." The two hugged each other tightly.
Confessional End
The stage was dark, yet again, with the curtain covering the performers that were behind it. There was silence among the contestants in the seats while they waited for the next big scene. Suddenly, the curtain opened up to show Damien and Jianne sitting across from each other in the cardboard canoe while Damien held the oar in his hands, pretending to paddle with it. Sweet music started to play and the lights started to twinkle like stars along the dark wall behind them.
"All those days…watching from the windows." Jianne started to sing sweetly as she looked over at Damien, her eyes showing just how happy she was. "All those years outside looking in. All that time never even knowing…just how blind I've been." She looked up at the "stars" in the background, smiling at them. "Now I'm here…blinking in the starlight. Now I'm here…suddenly I see. Standing here…it's all so clear…" She turned to look back at Damien, leaning slightly towards him. "I'm where I'm meant to be!"
"And at last I see the light…and it's like the fog has lifted!" She placed her hand on his, smiling at him lovingly. "And at last I see the light…and it's like the sky is new. And it's warm and real and bright…and the world has somehow shifted." She pulled her hand back, blushing and briefly looking down before glancing back up to him. "All at once everything looks different…now that I see you."
Damien kept pretending to paddle his oar, soon looking over to the "stars," just like Jianne had done previously. He turned to look back at her with his sweet eyes. "All those days…chasing down a daydream." He sang with a sweeter tone than any of the other three had yet, the tone even shocking Jianne herself, though she just blushed and smiled even more. "All those years living in a blur. All that time, never truly seeing things the way they were."
He reached out to his partner, taking her hand in his while setting the oar down in the boat before rubbing her cheek with his other hand. "Now she's here…shining in the starlight. Now she's here, suddenly I know: if she's here, it's crystal clear I'm where I'm meant to go!"
"And at last I see the light!" The two sang together, their harmony shocking all of the building with how beautiful it was.
"And it's like the fog has lifted…" Damien stood up in the boat, pulling Jianne up with him and pulling her closer.
"And at last I see the light!" They sang together again, that beautiful harmony bringing tears to everyone's eyes.
"And it's like the sky is new!" Jianne wrapped her arms around Damien's shoulders, the two now standing very close to each other.
"And it's warm and real and bright!" The two were once again harmonizing, each word getting more and more beautiful. Truly, they had an unmatchable chemistry on the stage together. "And the world has somehow shifted!" The looks on their faces suddenly changed, it was hard to explain. It wasn't happiness, but more of surprise muddled by some other feeling. "All at once, everything is different…now that I see you. …Now…that I seeeee youuuuuuuuuuu." The two sang their final words, the smiles of love soon returning to them.
The building lit up, and the duo took a good while to actually look over at Spear to see his reaction. He was wiping tears from his own face with tissues. "That…was simply beautiful. I thought that I had seen some amazing duets in my days, but that was truly something you only see once in a blue moon. You two aren't even together, but you sure made us feel like you love each other. I'm dearly sorry to Tony and Liz, but your duet was simply impeccable. I declare the Atomic Sharks the winners of this challenge!"
The other four Sharks rose from their seats, cheering for their victory while Jianne and Damien only grew wider smiles on their faces than before. "We did it! We actually won!" Damien sounded a bit shocked, though he could've just been acting modest. "You were amazing, Jianne!"
"Pfft, I know I'm the best and all…but I guess I can give you some credit. You were the real star of this performance." Jianne blushed and finally pulled her hands back from his shoulders.
"Jianne, there's no way I could've done this without you. It was both of our work that really made this performance shine." Jianne nodded at Damien in agreement.
"Cosmic Crabs, I am sorry to say it, but you guys have unfortunately lost the challenge. We'll have to go to the…elimination Fish Bowl? What is that even- you know what? I won't question Chris and his ideas." Spear got up from his seat, starting to walk out of the building. The two teams followed him close behind, eventually all of them making it out of the door. There was just one issue…Bonnie was still locked up in the cage.
"Hey, guys! Let me out of here! I wanna see what happens at the elimination!" Bonnie rattled the cage she was in, and suddenly, the lights shut off. "Aw, nuts."
The Crabs met at the fish bowl with Spear, each and everyone of the non-performers glaring at Liz and Tony as if they made them lose on purpose. The couple, on the other hand, simply sat next to each other and held each other's hands, smiling happily. "Now, I hear that Chris calls your names and hands you…fish flakes? Does he really give you fish flakes?" The man looked to a podium, seeing a silver platter with bags of fish flakes on it. "Huh…he really does…okay then."
Spear cleared his throat and approached the platter, grabbing the first bag of flakes. "Well then, I'll start passing these out. The loser goes down the Water Slide of Shame which lands them in the Submarine of Losers to take them away from lovely little Atlantis. So…first safe is…Flint."
Spear tossed the first bag to Flint, who caught it in his mouth like a dog, immediately returning to glaring at the couple after catching it. "Alright, that's a little weird…next up is…Luna and Natt." He tossed out the next two bags to the contestants, each of which caught them, though still no one spoke a word amidst their anger. "Really a quiet group, aren't you? We've also got…Dusty and Nicolás safe tonight."
With the next two bags passed out, there were only three contestants left on the chopping block: Tony, Liz, and Amelia. Amelia continued to sniffle, manipulating the team far better than Tony or Liz ever had. "Now, I'm really not sure what to do about this, but there was a tie in the votes. Like…two people got the most votes. So…I guess I send them both home? That sounds like something Chris would do, right? Eh, good enough for me. The final bag of fish flakes goes to…"

"...Amelia." Spear tossed Amelia the final bag of fish flakes, causing her to sniffle even more. Luna leaned over to hug her tightly. "Tony, Liz, I really am sorry about this…you both performed so well, but things just go this way sometimes. Any parting words for your team?"
"Heh, are you kidding me? No way those guys want any words from us!" Tony chuckled as he got up from his seat, helping Liz up before the two of them began walking towards the entrance to the water slide. "Besides, I'd rather save all of my words for Liz, here."
"Aw, Tony! That's really so sweet…and sappy." Liz flicked him on the nose, causing him to rub it in pain for a moment…before the two started laughing together. Without another word for their team, they jumped in the water slide, sliding all the way down to the submarine and out of sight.
"It really was a pleasure to work with all of you for this challenge!" Spear waved to the team, which soon rose and started to leave the bowl. "As far as things go, I sincerely hope that you all enjoyed this romantic episode of Total Drama: Lost City!"
Damien and Jianne were sitting in front of the Sharks' building again, much like before when they were talking earlier. "Man, I'm in such a good mood after all of that!" Damien leaned back on the bench, cracking his neck. "Nothing like a good performance to get the blood pumping, right?"
"Right! That really was invigorating…way better than I thought it would be!" Jianne looked over at the boy a grin on her face. He looked back to her, smiling as well…but the looks soon changed. It was like before, on the stage, when they got that strange emotion on their faces. They sat there in silence for a moment, soon leaning towards each other like they were still acting. More silence…and the two eventually placed their lips together. They sat like that for a good while before they pulled back from the kiss. There was more silence, but then, they just looked away from each other.
The two stood from their seats, refusing to look at each other. "I think…we should maybe just turn in for the night." Damien mumbled, still not looking at her.
"Yeah…that challenge has got us acting…weird. I'll see you later or something." The two slowly walked into the building, each going to their respective rooms without saying another word to each other.
Author's Notes:
*Two more contestants are out of the running and with such an emotional last stand! Tony and Liz are both amazing and I love them, but the odds were really stacked against them when the Crabs started getting lower in numbers. It's to be expected when their runs last season both involved a lot of betrayal and using people. Amelia has won this time, proving her place as the new baddie in town.
*I hope you all enjoyed this episode! This one was a crossover between me and a good friend of mine, aesthetic nightmare. The series it's crossed over, the Act Series, is only on her Archive of Our Own. I hope you all go check it out, it really is worth it. Thanks for letting me use Spear in this challenge as well, Kae!
